Definitions
- the present invention relates to a house dust mite allergen protein remover and a composition thereof, and more particularly, it is possible to effectively remove various allergen proteins derived from house dust mites by denaturation or neutralization, and to retain the ability to kill house dust mites.
- House dust mite allergen protein remover derived from plant essential oil or water vapor distillate and house dust mite allergen protein removal or house dust mite kill cost composition comprising the same.
- House dust mites are frequently found on mattresses, furniture, carpets, etc., where keratin and dandruff are often accumulated in places where people work or live a lot.
- the most prevalent species of house dust mites worldwide are the American house dust mite ( Dermatophagoides farinae ) and the vertical house dust mite ( Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus ), allergic in occupational and indoor environments. It is believed to be the main source of allergen [Bessor, JC & G. Pauli. 2011. Mite allergens: an overview. Eur. Ann. Allergy Clin. Immunol. 43: 141156.]. These allergens are produced in the house dust mite gastrointestinal tract and excreted with manure.
- asthma is due to high mortality [Mart, HQ & N. Ferguson. 2009. Life-threatening asthma: focus on lung protection. Intensive Care Medicine, Springer. pp. 372382.] is the most important disease. Globally, 5-10% of adults and 10-20% of children suffer from asthma [UK BIVDA. 2002. Diagnostics in Healthcare. The British In Vitro Diagnostics Association.]. It is reported that between 2 and 87 deaths per million people worldwide (average 22 deaths). Most allergens are proteins with molecular weights of 14-60 kDa, the most important of which belong to group I and group II of 21 house dust mite allergens [Arlian, LG & TAE Platts-Mills. 2001.
- the number of house dust mites and the amount of allergens are proportional, which increases the risk of disease.
- the amount of 1 g of allergen is equivalent to about 50 house dust mites.
- 2 g of allergen can cause sensitization, and more than 10 g can cause seizures. Therefore, an amount of allergen from 2 to 10 g is considered a risk level for asthma, which means 100 to 500 house dust mites per gram of house dust (Platts-Mills, TAE & MD Chapman. 1987. Dust mites; Immunology , allergic diseases, and environmental control.J . Allergy Clin.Imunmun . 80: 755757; Korsgaard, J.
- Mite faeces are a major source of house dust allergens. Nature 289: 592593; Arlian, LG & TAE Platts-Mills. 2001. The biology of dust mites and the remediation of mite allergens in allergic disease. J. Allergy Clin. Immunol. 107: S406S413.]. Dead mites containing allergenic proteins remain in their morphology for months even when live mites are controlled [Green, WF 1984. Abolition of allergens by tannic acid. Lancet 324: 160.]. Therefore, it is difficult to escape from allergic diseases as long as the carcass is present even if controlled by acaricide.
