Abstract
Description
このような要求に対応するため、タイヤの転がり抵抗の低減(以下、「低燃費性の向上」ともいう。)および耐摩耗性の向上が求められてきている。

以下の数式(5)で表されるミクロ構造を有する、シス-1,4結合含有量92%以上のポリブタジエンゴム20~80質量部とからなるゴム成分100質量部に対して補強性充填材20~100質量部を含有するタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。
(5)Vi≦0.25×(cis-97)
(式中、Viは1,2結合含有量(%)、cisはシス-1,4結合含有量(%)を表す)」が記載されている([請求項1])。
すなわち、本発明者らは、以下の構成により上記課題が解決できることを見出した。
上記ジエン系ゴムが、少なくともスチレン-ブタジエン共重合体を含有し、
上記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体のラジカル生成指数が、1.0以下であり、かつ、下記式(1)で算出されるY値よりも小さい、ゴム組成物。
Y=-0.0186×(SV質量%+ビニル単位mol%)+1.5 ・・・(1)
ここで、ラジカル生成指数は、スチレン単位/ビニル単位(1,2結合)/トランス単位(トランス-1,4結合)/シス単位(シス-1,4結合)のモル比が13/14/15/58である共重合体のラジカル濃度を基準値(1.0)としたラジカル濃度の指数表示をいう。
また、上記式(1)中の「SV質量%」とは、上記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体の結合スチレン量に対する、スチレン単位が1個のスチレン単連鎖とビニル単位が1個のビニル単連鎖とが直接連結している部分構造の質量%をいい、上記式(1)中の「ビニル単位mol%」とは、上記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体におけるスチレン単位、ビニル単位(1,2結合)、トランス単位(トランス-1,4結合)およびシス単位(シス-1,4結合)を合計して100mol%とした時のビニル単位のmol%をいう。
[2] 上記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体が、結合スチレン量が25mol%以下であり、ビニル単位が30mol%以上である、[1]に記載のゴム組成物。
[3] 上記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体が、スチレン単位が1個のスチレン単連鎖が結合スチレン量の55質量%以下であり、かつ、スチレン単位が1個のスチレン単連鎖とビニル単位が1個のビニル単連鎖とが直接連結している部分構造が結合スチレン量の10質量%以下である、[1]または[2]に記載のゴム組成物。
[4] 上記充填剤が、シリカおよび/またはカーボンブラックである、[1]~[3]のいずれかに記載のゴム組成物。

本発明のゴム組成物は、ジエン系ゴムと、充填剤とを含有するゴム組成物であって、上記ジエン系ゴムが、少なくともスチレン-ブタジエン共重合体を含有し、上記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体のラジカル生成指数が、1.0以下であり、かつ、後述する式(1)で算出されるY値よりも小さい、ゴム組成物である。
まず、耐摩耗性については、構造が既知の所定のポリマーのラジカル濃度を基準としたラジカル生成指数を1.0以下とし、かつ、後述する式(1)で算出されるY値よりも小さい値とすることにより、ラジカルの酸化に起因するゴムの劣化が抑制されることにより、耐摩耗性が向上したと考えられる。
一方、低燃費性については、後述する式(1)において、スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体のミクロ構造、すなわち、スチレン単位、ビニル単位(1,2結合(ビニル結合))、トランス単位(トランス-1,4結合)、および、シス単位(シス-1,4結合)のうち、スチレン単位およびビニル単位に着目していることからも分かる通り、ラジカル生成指数が後述する式(1)で算出されるY値よりも小さいスチレン-ブタジエン共重合体を用いることにより、ゴムの硬さが向上し、ヒステリシスロスが低下することにより、転がり抵抗が低減したためと考えられる。
本発明のゴム組成物に配合されるジエン系ゴムは、スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体を含有するものであれば特に限定されない。
上記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体は、ラジカル生成指数が、1.0以下であり、かつ、下記式(1)で算出されるY値よりも小さい共重合体である。なお、下記式(1)で算出されるY値が1.0より大きい場合は、ラジカル生成指数が1.0以下であればよい。

また、ラジカル濃度は、測定対象となるスチレン-ブタジエン共重合体のサンプルに、2,4,6-トリ-tert-ブチルニトロソベンゼン(TTBNB)を3.4質量%含浸させた後に、冷凍粉砕機を用いて粉砕し、電子スピン共鳴(Electron Spin Resonance:ESR)装置を用いて測定する。
また、上記式(1)中の「ビニル単位mol%」とは、上記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体におけるスチレン単位、ビニル単位(1,2結合)、トランス単位(トランス-1,4結合)およびシス単位(シス-1,4結合)を合計して100mol%とした時のビニル単位のmol%をいう。
また、耐摩耗性および低燃費性のバランスが良好となる理由から、上記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体のラジカル生成指数は、下記式(2)で算出されるY2値よりも小さいことが好ましい。

ここで、結合スチレン量とは、スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体中のスチレンの質量をモル換算した量をいい、ビニル単位とは、スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体におけるスチレン単位、ビニル単位(1,2結合)、トランス単位(トランス-1,4結合)およびシス単位(シス-1,4結合)を合計して100mol%とした時のビニル単位のmol%をいう。
また、上記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体の結合スチレン量は、2~20mol%であるのが好ましく、10~20mol%であるのがより好ましい。
同様に、上記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体のビニル単位は、30mol%以上であるのが好ましく、40mol%以上であるのがより好ましく、また、90mol%以下であるのが好ましい。
また、スチレン単連鎖は、結合スチレン量の40質量%以下であるのが好ましく、30質量%以下であるのがより好ましく、また、1質量%以上であるのが好ましい。
同様に、S1V1構造は、結合スチレン量の9質量%以下であるのが好ましく、8質量%以下であるのがより好ましく、また、1質量%以上であるのが好ましい。
これらのうち、ゴムが強靭となり、低燃費性がより良好となる理由から、天然ゴムを用いるのが好ましい。
本発明のゴム組成物に配合される充填剤は特に限定されず、タイヤ用ゴム組成物として配合される従来公知の充填剤を用いることができる。
上記充填剤としては、例えば、シリカ、カーボンブラック、炭酸カルシウム、炭酸マグネシウム、タルク、クレー、アルミナ、水酸化アルミニウム、酸化チタン、硫酸カルシウム等が挙げられ、これらを1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
これらのうち、シリカおよび/またはカーボンブラックであるのが好ましい。
シリカとしては、具体的には、例えば、湿式シリカ(含水ケイ酸)、乾式シリカ(無水ケイ酸)、ケイ酸カルシウム、ケイ酸アルミニウム等が挙げられ、これらを1種単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
上記カーボンブラックは、特に限定されず、例えば、SAF-HS、SAF、ISAF-HS、ISAF、ISAF-LS、IISAF-HS、HAF-HS、HAF、HAF-LS、FEF等の各種グレードのものを使用することができる。
本発明のゴム組成物は、上述したシリカを含有する場合、タイヤの補強性能を向上させる理由から、シランカップリング剤を含有するのが好ましい。
上記シランカップリング剤を配合する場合の含有量は、上記シリカ100質量部に対して、2~16質量部であるのが好ましく、4~10質量部であるのがより好ましい。
本発明のゴム組成物は、上記ジエンゴムおよび上記充填剤ならびに上記シランカップリング剤以外に、硫黄等の加硫剤;スルフェンアミド系、グアニジン系、チアゾール系、チオウレア系、チウラム系などの加硫促進剤;酸化亜鉛、ステアリン酸などの加硫促進助剤;ワックス;アロマオイル;老化防止剤;可塑剤;等のタイヤ用ゴム組成物に一般的に用いられている各種のその他添加剤を配合することができる。
また、本発明のゴム組成物は、従来公知の加硫または架橋条件で加硫または架橋することができる。
本発明の空気入りタイヤ(以下、単に「本発明タイヤ」ともいう。)は、上述した本発明のゴム組成物を用いた空気入りタイヤである。
図1に、本発明のタイヤの実施態様の一例を表すタイヤの模式的な部分断面図を示すが、本発明のタイヤは図1に示す態様に限定されるものではない。
また、左右一対のビード部1間においては、繊維コードが埋設されたカーカス層4が装架されており、このカーカス層4の端部はビードコア5およびビードフィラー6の廻りにタイヤ内側から外側に折り返されて巻き上げられている。
また、タイヤトレッド3においては、カーカス層4の外側に、ベルト層7がタイヤ1周に亘って配置されている。
また、ビード部1においては、リムに接する部分にリムクッション8が配置されている。
下記第1表に示す成分を、下記第1表に示す割合(質量部)で配合した。
具体的には、まず、下記第1表に示す成分のうち硫黄および加硫促進剤を除く成分を、1.7リットルの密閉式バンバリーミキサーで5分間混練した後、ミキサー外に放出させて室温冷却した。
次いで、冷却した組成物に、硫黄および加硫促進剤を添加し、オープンロールで混練し、ゴム組成物を得た。
なお、ゴム組成物の調製に用いたスチレン-ブタジエン共重合体(以下、形式的に「SBR」と略す。)のラジカル生成指数や結合スチレン量などについては、下記第1表に示す通りである。
調製した各ゴム組成物(未加硫)をトレッド形状に成形し、タイヤ成形機にて他のタイヤ部材と共に貼りあわせ未加硫タイヤを形成し、160℃で20分間加硫し、試験タイヤ(195/65R15)を製造した。
製造した試験タイヤをFF方式の試験車両(排気量1.6L)に装着してテストコースを8000km走行し、駆動輪(前輪)の第1溝(主溝)の摩耗量と有効溝深さとに基づいて、左右輪の平均摩耗寿命を求め、比較例1の値を100として指数表示した。値の大きいほど耐摩耗性が高いことを示す。結果を下記第1表に示す。
調製した各ゴム組成物(未加硫)を、金型(15cm×15cm×0.2cm)中、160℃で20分間プレス加硫して、加硫ゴムシートを作製した。
上述のとおり作製した加硫ゴムシートについて、JIS K 6394:2007に準拠し、粘弾性スペクトロメーター(岩本製作所社製)を用いて、伸張変形歪率10%±2%、振動数20Hz、温度60℃の条件で、tanδ(60℃)を測定した。
結果を下記第1表に示す。比較例2~8および実施例1~4については、比較例1のtanδ(60℃)を100とする指数で表した。指数が小さいほどtanδ(60℃)が小さく、タイヤにしたときに低燃費性に優れる。

・老化防止剤:SANTOFLEX 6PPD(Solutia Europe SPRL/BVBA社製)
・オイル:エクストラクト4号S(昭和シェル石油社製)
・硫黄:油処理硫黄(軽井沢精錬所製)
・加硫促進剤(CZ):ノクセラー CZ-G(大内新興化学工業製)
・加硫促進剤(DPG):ソクシノールD-G(住友化学社製)
これに対し、ゴム組成物に配合するスチレン-ブタジエン共重合体のラジカル生成指数が1.0以下であり、かつ、上記式(1)で算出されるY値よりも小さい場合は、耐摩耗性および低燃費性の改善効果が大きく、これらのバランスも良好となることが分かった(実施例1~4)。

Claims (5)
- ジエン系ゴムと、充填剤とを含有するゴム組成物であって、
前記ジエン系ゴムが、少なくともスチレン-ブタジエン共重合体を含有し、
前記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体のラジカル生成指数が、1.0以下であり、かつ、下記式(1)で算出されるY値よりも小さい、ゴム組成物。
Y=-0.0186×(SV質量%+ビニル単位mol%)+1.5 ・・・(1)
ここで、ラジカル生成指数は、スチレン単位/ビニル単位(1,2結合)/トランス単位(トランス-1,4結合)/シス単位(シス-1,4結合)のモル比が13/14/15/58である共重合体のラジカル濃度を基準値(1.0)としたラジカル濃度の指数表示をいう。
また、前記式(1)中の「SV質量%」とは、前記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体の結合スチレン量に対する、スチレン単位が1個のスチレン単連鎖とビニル単位が1個のビニル単連鎖とが直接連結している部分構造の質量%をいい、前記式(1)中の「ビニル単位mol%」とは、前記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体におけるスチレン単位、ビニル単位(1,2結合)、トランス単位(トランス-1,4結合)およびシス単位(シス-1,4結合)を合計して100mol%とした時のビニル単位のmol%をいう。 - 前記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体が、結合スチレン量が25mol%以下であり、ビニル単位が30mol%以上である、請求項1に記載のゴム組成物。
- 前記スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体が、スチレン単位が1個のスチレン単連鎖が結合スチレン量の55質量%以下であり、かつ、スチレン単位が1個のスチレン単連鎖とビニル単位が1個のビニル単連鎖とが直接連結している部分構造が結合スチレン量の10質量%以下である、請求項1または2に記載のゴム組成物。
- 前記充填剤が、シリカおよび/またはカーボンブラックである、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のゴム組成物。
- 請求項1~4のいずれかに記載のゴム組成物を用いた空気入りタイヤ。
