具体的には、反射防止フィルム、位相差フィルム、偏光フィルム、配向フィルム、保護フィルム、視野角向上フィルム、輝度向上フィルム、遮光フィルム、電磁波シールドフィルム等の光学フィルム、ローパスフィルタやカラーフィルタ等の光学素子としてディスプレイや光学レンズに用いられる光学フィルタ等に用いることができる。
また本発明のメロシアニン化合物は、感光写真材料、染物、塗料、インク、電子写真感光体、トナー、感熱記録紙、転写リボン、光学記録色素、太陽電池、光電変換素子、半導体材料、臨床検査試薬、レーザー治療用色素、染色等に用いることもできる。
本発明の光学フィルタは、本発明のメロシアニン化合物を含有する本発明の組成物を用いて作製される。本発明の組成物には、通常バインダー樹脂が配合される。該バインダー樹脂としては、例えば、ゼラチン、カゼイン、でんぷん、セルロース誘導体、アルギン酸等の天然高分子材料、或いは、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリビニルブチラール、ポリビニルピロリドン、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリ塩化ビニル、スチレン-ブタジエンコポリマー、ポリスチレン、ポリエステル、ポリエーテル、ポリカーボネート、ポリアミド、ポリイミド、ポリウレタン、メラミン樹脂、環状オレフィン樹脂等の合成高分子材料、粘着剤等が挙げられる。
チレンテレフタレート等のポリエステル;ポリスチレン;ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリメチルペンテン等のポリオレフィン;ポリメチルメタクリレート等のアクリル系樹脂;ポリカーボネート;ポリスルホン;ポリエーテルスルホン;ポリエーテルケトン;ポリエーテルイミド;ポリオキシエチレン、ノルボルネン樹脂等の高分子材料が挙げられる。透明支持体の透過率は80%以上であることが好ましく、86%以上であることが更に好ましい。ヘイズは、2%以下であることが好ましく、1%以下であることが更に好ましい。屈折率は、1.45~1.70であることが好ましい。

インドレニン中間体0.01モル及びピリジン又はアセトニトリル16gを混合し、無水酢酸0.012モルを滴下して室温~50℃で1時間撹拌した。活性メチレン化合物0.01モル及びトリエチルアミン0.02モルを加えて室温~50℃で1~3時間撹拌した。得られた固体をメタノールで還流して精製し、固体を120℃で乾燥して目的物を得た。
分析結果を〔表1-1〕~〔表1-3〕、〔表2-1〕~〔表2-4〕に示す。
化合物No.31の0.2g及びイオン交換水20gを混合し、水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を滴下し溶液を均一化させた。ここに塩化バリウム2水和物0.062gの水溶液を仕込み、30分撹拌した。得られた固体を濾過、水洗、乾燥を行い、目的物を0.19g(収率82.5%)得た。
塩化バリウム2水和物に変えて硫酸銅5水和物を用いた他は実施例1-43と同様にして、目的物を0.07g(収率33.3%)で得た。
化合物31に変えて化合物38を用い、塩化バリウム2水和物に変えてリンタングステン酸を用いた他は実施例1-43と同様にして、目的物を0.16g(収率60.0%)で得た。
化合物No.1、No.30、No.31、No.34、No.40、No.46及び比較化合物No.1の0.5wt%アセトン溶液0.4gと、ポリメチルメタクリレート(以下、PMMAとも呼ぶ)の25wt%トルエン溶液3.0gを混合させ、15分間超音波照射を行い、塗工液を調製した。
実施例2-1~2-6及び比較例2-1で得られた本発明又は比較例の光学フィルタに、キセノン耐光性試験機(スガ試験機(株)製テーブルサンTS-2)にて光を48時間照射し、耐光性を評価した。評価においては、光照射前後の各光学フィルタの吸収極大波長における吸光度を測定し、初期値(光照射前)を100として光照射後の相対値(吸光度保持率)を算出し、耐光性を比較した。結果を[表3]に示す。

R35は、上記一般式(IV)中のX15及びX17が-N(R35)-で表される場合のR35と同じであり、複数あるR35は、同じか又は異なり、R1、R2、R3、R4、R5及びR35の何れか一つ以上は、ニトロ基;水酸基、カルボキシル基、スルホン酸基若しくはハロゲン原子で置換された又は無置換の炭素原子数1~20のアルキル基;炭素原子数1~20のアルキル基中のメチレン基が-SO2-NH-又はーNH-SO2-で置き換わった基;水酸基、カルボキシル基又はスルホン酸基で置換された炭素原子数6~30のアリール基;水酸基、カルボキシル基又はスルホン酸基で置換された炭素原子数7~30のアリールアルキル基;水酸基、カルボキシル基又はスルホン酸基で置換された炭素原子数8~30のアリールアルケニル基;炭素原子数1~20のアルキル基、炭素原子数6~30のアリール基、炭素原子数7~30のアリールアルキル基、又は炭素原子数8~30のアリールアルケニル基が塩を形成した置換基を有するものから選択される。) - 請求項1~8の何れか一項に記載のメロシアニン化合物を含有する組成物。
