Abstract

 車両用シート空調ユニット(20)は、車室内のうち座席の外側に配置されて空調風を吹き出す室内空調ユニット(10)を備える自動車に適用される。車両用シート空調ユニットは、複数の座面吹出口と、第1後席用吹出口(25)と、単一の第1ダクト(21)とを備える。複数の座面吹出口は、当該座席のうち乗員が着座する座面にそれぞれ開口する。第1後席用吹出口は、当該座席のうち車両進行方向後側に設けられて、当該座席に対して車両進行方向後側に配置される後部座席側に向けて開口する。単一の第1ダクトは、当該複数の座面吹出口および当該第1後席用吹出口と当該室内空調ユニットとの間に配置されて、当該室内空調ユニットからの空調風を当該複数の座面吹出口および当該第1後席用吹出口に導く。当該室内空調ユニットから当該第1ダクトを通して流れる当該空調風は、当該複数の座面吹出口および当該第1後席用吹出口から車室内に吹き出される。

Description

車両用シート空調ユニット 関連出願への相互参照
 本出願は、2015年4月2日に出願された日本特許出願番号2015-76157に基づくもので、ここにその記載内容が参照により組み入れられる。
 本開示は、車両用シート空調ユニットに関するものである。
 従来、車両用シート空調ユニットにおいて、座席の座面に開口する複数の吹出口(以下、座面吹出口という)を備え、複数の座面吹出口からそれぞれ吹き出す空調風の温度を調節する温度調節ユニットが座席内に配置されているものがある。
 しかし、実際の座席内において、温度調節ユニットを搭載するためのスペースの余裕がなく、温度調節ユニットを座席内に配置することは困難である。仮に、座席内に温度調節ユニットを搭載したとしても、温度調節ユニットの体格を小さくする必要があり、十分な冷暖房能力を得ることは難しい。
 そこで、特許文献1には、車室内前部のインストルメントパネル内に配置される室内空調ユニットから吹き出される空調風を第1ダクトを通して前部座席の複数の座面吹出口に導いて空調風を複数の座面吹出口から吹き出す装置が提案されている。
 この装置は、車室内のうち前部座席の車幅方向中央側のアームレスト付近に配置されて後部座席に向けて開口する後席用吹出口を有する。この装置は更に、第1ダクトに対して独立して設けられて室内空調ユニットから吹き出される空調風を後席用吹出口に導く第2ダクトを備える。
 このことにより、室内空調ユニットから第1ダクトを通して流れる空調風を前部座席の複数の座面吹出口から吹き出すとともに、室内空調ユニットから第2ダクトを通して流れる空調風を後席用吹出口から後部座席の乗員に向けて吹き出すことができる。

 上記特許文献1の車両用シート空調ユニットでは、上述の如く、後席用吹出口が前部座席の車幅方向中央側のアームレスト付近に配置されているため、後席用吹出口および後部座席の乗員の間の距離が長くなる。したがって、後席用吹出口から後部座席の乗員に十分な風量を届けることができない。このため、後席用吹出口から吹き出される空調風によって高い快適性を後部座席の乗員に与えることができない。
 本開示は上記点に鑑みて、複数の座面吹出口から空調風を吹き出す車両用シート空調ユニットにおいて、後部座席の乗員の快適性を向上することを目的とする。
 本開示の1つの観点によれば、車両用シート空調ユニットは、車室内のうち座席の外1側に配置されて空調風を吹き出す室内空調ユニットを備える自動車に適用される。車両用シート空調ユニットは、
 座席のうち乗員が着座する座面にそれぞれ開口する複数の座面吹出口と、
 座席のうち車両進行方向後側に設けられて、当該座席に対して車両進行方向後側に配置される後部座席側に向けて開口する第1後席用吹出口と、
 複数の座面吹出口および第1後席用吹出口と室内空調ユニットとの間に配置されて、室内空調ユニットからの空調風を複数の座面吹出口および第1後席用吹出口に導く単一の第1ダクトとを備え、
 室内空調ユニットから第1ダクトを通して流れる空調風は、複数の座面吹出口および第1後席用吹出口から車室内に吹き出される。
 この観点によれば、座席のうち車両進行方向後側に第1後席用吹出口が設けられているので、第1後席用吹出口および後部座席の乗員の間の距離を短くすることができる。よって、第1後席用吹出口から後部座席の乗員に届ける風量を増やすことができる。したがって、後部座席の乗員の快適性を向上することができる。
 これに加えて、室内空調ユニットから吹き出される空調風を複数の座面吹出口と第1後席用吹出口とに導くために単一の第1ダクトが用いられている。このため、室内空調ユニットから吹き出される空調風を複数の座面吹出口と第1後席用吹出口とに導くために2本の第1ダクトを用いる場合に比べて、自動車に対する車両用シート空調ユニットの搭載性を向上することができる。
 但し、座面とは、座席のうち乗員の太股、臀部、および背中を支える部位である。

 以下、実施形態について図に基づいて説明する。なお、以下の各実施形態相互において、互いに同一もしくは均等である部分には、説明の簡略化を図るべく、図中、同一符号を付してある。
 (第1実施形態)
 図1に、車両用空調装置1の第1実施形態の構成を示す。図1は車両用空調装置1の車室内の配置を示す図である。
 車両用空調装置1は、図1に示す室内空調ユニット10を備えている。室内空調ユニット10は、車室内最前部の計器盤(すなわちインストルメントパネル)2の内側に配設される。
 室内空調ユニット10は、送風ユニットおよびヒータユニットを備え、空調風を複数の吹出開口部から吹き出す周知のユニットである。具体的には、送風ユニットは、車室内空気或いは車室外空気を導入して吹き出す。ヒータユニットは、冷却用熱交換器、加熱用熱交換器、およびエアミックスドア等を備え、送風ユニットから吹き出される空気流を温度調節して空調風として複数の吹出開口部から吹き出す。
 ここで、複数の吹出開口部は、フェイス吹出開口部、フット吹出開口部、デフロスタ吹出開口部、およびシート空調用吹出開口部11から構成されている。
 フェイス吹出開口部は、フェイスダクトを通してフェイス吹出口に空調風を吹き出す。フェイス吹出口は、前部座席の乗員上半身に空調風を吹き出す。
 フット吹出開口部は、フットダクトを通してフット吹出口に空調風を吹き出す。フット吹出口は、前部座席の乗員下半身に空調風を吹き出す。
 デフロスタ吹出開口部は、デフロスタダクトを通してデフロスタ吹出口に空調風を吹き出す。デフロスタ吹出口は、フロントガラスの内表面に空調風を吹き出す。
 本実施形態のフェイス吹出口、フット吹出口、およびデフロスタ吹出口は、それぞれ吹き出す空調風により車室内のうち車両進行方向前方側を空調する。フェイス吹出口、フット吹出口、およびデフロスタ吹出口は、それぞれ、計器盤に形成されている。
 シート空調用吹出開口部11は、後述するように、前部座席の複数の座面吹出口や後席用フェイス吹出口25に向けて空調風を吹き出す。後席用フェイス吹出口25は、第1後席用吹出口に対応する。
 車両用空調装置1は、図1に示すシート空調ユニット20を備えている。シート空調ユニット20は、前部座席3の座面の複数の座面吹出口から空調風を吹き出すとともに、前部座席3の背面の後席用フェイス吹出口25から空調風を吹き出す。
 シート空調ユニット20は、単一のシート空調ダクト21、サブファン22、背面ダクト23、バルブ24、および後席用フェイス吹出口25を備える。シート空調ダクト21が第1ダクトに対応する。
 シート空調ダクト21は、複数の座面吹出口および後席用フェイス吹出口25と室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11との間に配置されている。シート空調ダクト21は、計器盤2の内側から前部座席3側に延びるように形成されたものであって、前部座席3に連結されている。シート空調ダクト21は、シート空調用吹出開口部11から吹き出される空調風を複数の座面吹出口および後席用フェイス吹出口25に導く。シート空調ダクト21は、車室内の床面側に配置されている単一のダクトである。
 サブファン22は、シート空調用吹出開口部11およびシート空調ダクト21の空気入口の間に配置されている。サブファン22は、電動ファンから構成され、シート空調用吹出開口部11から吹き出される空調風を加勢して空調風を複数の座面吹出口や後席用フェイス吹出口25に導く。本実施形態のサブファン22は、計器盤2の内側に配設される。
 背面ダクト23は、図2に示すように、その空気入口がシート空調ダクト21のうち空気入口および空気出口の間の部位21cに接続されている。背面ダクト23の空気出口が後席用フェイス吹出口25に接続されている。背面ダクト23は、前部座席3のシートクッション32およびシートバック33内に配置されている。
 背面ダクト23は、サブファン22からシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空気流のうち一部の空調風を、後席用フェイス吹出口25に導く背面空気通路23aを形成する。
 このことにより、サブファン22からシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空気流のうち、後席用フェイス吹出口25に流れる空気流以外の残りの空気流は、座面空気通路21bを通して複数の座面吹出口に流れる。座面空気通路21bは、シート空調ダクト21のうち背面ダクト23の空気入口が接続される部位21cに対して複数の座面吹出口側の空気通路である。
 バルブ24は、シート空調ダクト21のうち部位21cに配置されている。バルブ24は、背面空気通路23aの開口面積と座面空気通路21bの開口面積との割合を調整する弁体、およびこの弁体を作動させる電動アクチュエータとから構成されている。このため、バルブ24は、サブファン22からシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空気流のうち、複数の座面吹出口に流れる風量と後席用フェイス吹出口25に流れる風量との割合を調整することになる。本実施形態のバルブ24は、前部座席3のシートクッション32内に配置されている。バルブ24が第1風量調整弁に対応する。
 後席用フェイス吹出口25は、前部座席3の背面側(すなわち、車両進行方向後部側)に配置されて、後部座席に向けて(すなわち、車両進行方向後部に向けて)開口している。具体的には、後席用フェイス吹出口25は、後部座席の乗員上半身に対して正面から空調風を吹き出すフェイス吹出口を構成している。後部座席は、車室内のうち前部座席3に対して車両進行方向後側に位置する。
 本実施形態の前部座席3は、図3に示すシート表皮30、ヘッドレスト31、シートクッション32、およびシートバック33を備える。
 シート表皮30は、複数の座面吹出口を備えるシート(例えば、不織布や本皮)から構成されている。座面吹出口は、シート表皮30に形成されている微小な孔部である。シート表皮30は、シートクッション32およびシートバック33のそれぞれを覆うように形成されている。シート表皮30のうちシートクッション32およびシートバック33のそれぞれを覆う部分が乗員が着座する座面を構成する。つまり、座面とは、座席のうち乗員の太股、臀部、および背中を支える部位を構成している。
 ヘッドレスト31、シートクッション32、およびシートバック33は、図示しないシートフレームによって支持されている。ヘッドレスト31は、乗員の頭部を支えるものである。シートクッション32は、乗員の太股および臀部を支えるものである。シートバック33は、乗員の背中を支えるものである。
 シートクッション32、およびシートバック33は、ウレタン樹脂等から構成されている。シートクッション32、およびシートバック33には、図3に示すように、乗員側のシート表皮30にそれぞれ開口する複数の通風路34が設けられている。
 次に、本実施形態のシート空調ユニット20の電気的構成について、図4を参照して説明する。
 シート空調ユニット20は、電子制御装置40を備える。電子制御装置40は、マイクロコンピュータやメモリ等から構成されて、シート空調制御処理を実行する。
 電子制御装置40は、シート空調制御処理を実行する際に、操作部41の出力信号に基づいて、サブファン22やバルブ24を制御する。操作部41は、乗員に操作されて、複数の座面吹出口および後席用フェイス吹出口25のうち空調風を吹き出すべき吹出口を設定する。
 次に、本実施形態のシート空調ユニット20の作動について図5を参照して説明する。
 図5は、シート空調制御処理を示すフローチャートである。電子制御装置40は、図5に示すフローチャートにしたがって、コンピュータプログラムを実行する。
 例えば、前部座席3に乗員が存在し、後部座席に乗員が存在しない場合には、乗員は、操作部41を操作して、複数の座面吹出口および後席用フェイス吹出口25のうち主に複数の座面吹出口から空調風を吹き出させるように指令する。
 これに伴い、電子制御装置40は、操作部41からの出力信号に基づいて、前部座席3および後部座席のうち前部座席3に乗員が存在すると判定する(ステップS100、YES)。このとき、電子制御装置40は、ステップS101で、バルブ24を制御して、座面空気通路21bを開けて、背面空気通路23aを閉じる。
 このため、バルブ24の調整によって、サブファン22からシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空気流のうち、複数の座面吹出口に流れる風量が後席用フェイス吹出口25に流れる風量よりも多くなる。
 この場合、室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11からサブファン22、およびシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空気流の大半は、前部座席3のシートクッション32およびシートバック33の複数の通風路34に流れる。これに伴い、複数の通風路34からシート表皮30(すなわち、座面)の複数の座面吹出口を通して乗員側(すなわち、車室内側)に吹き出される。
 一方、室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11からサブファン22、およびシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空気流について説明する。この空気流のうち上記大半の空調風以外の残りの空調風は、背面ダクト23を通して後席用フェイス吹出口25から後席上半身相当位置に向けて吹き出される。なお、後席上半身相当位置は、仮に後部座席に乗員が座っていたとしたら当該乗員の上半身に該当する位置をいう。
 また、前部座席3に乗員が存在しなく、後部座席に乗員が存在する場合には、乗員は、操作部41を操作して、複数の座面吹出口および後席用フェイス吹出口25のうち主に後席用フェイス吹出口25から空調風を吹き出させるように指令する。
 これに伴い、電子制御装置40は、操作部41からの出力信号に基づいて、前部座席3および後部座席のうち後部座席に乗員が存在すると判定する(ステップS100、NO、ステップS110、YES)。
 このとき、電子制御装置40は、ステップS111で、バルブ24を制御して、座面空気通路21bを閉じて、背面空気通路23aを開ける。このため、サブファン22からシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空気流のうち、複数の座面吹出口に流れる風量よりも後席用フェイス吹出口25に流れる風量が多くなる。
 この場合、室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11からサブファン22、シート空調ダクト21、および背面ダクト23を通して流れる空調風について説明する。この空調風のうち大半の空調風は、後席用フェイス吹出口25から後部座席の乗員の上半身に向けて吹き出される。
 一方、室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11からサブファン22、およびシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空気流について説明する。この空気流のうち上記大半の空調風以外の残りの空調風は、前部座席3のシートクッション32およびシートバック33の複数の通風路34およびシート表皮30の複数の座面吹出口を通して車室内に吹き出される。
 さらに、前部座席3に乗員が存在し、後部座席に乗員が存在する場合には、乗員は、操作部41を操作して、複数の座面吹出口から吹き出される空調風と後席用フェイス吹出口25から吹き出される空調風とが同等になるように指令する。
 これに伴い、電子制御装置40は、操作部41からの出力信号に基づいて、前部座席3および後部座席のそれぞれに乗員が存在すると判定する(ステップS110、NO、ステップS120、YES)。
 このとき、電子制御装置40は、ステップS121で、バルブ24を制御して、座面空気通路21bと背面空気通路23aとをそれぞれ開ける。このため、室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11からサブファン22、およびシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空調風のうち半分の空調風は、複数の通風路34および複数の座面吹出口を通して乗員側に吹き出される。
 一方、室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11からサブファン22、およびシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空調風について説明する。この空調風のうち残りの半分の空調風は、背面ダクト23を通して後席用フェイス吹出口25から後部座席の乗員の上半身に向けて吹き出される。
 以上説明した本実施形態によれば、車両用シート空調ユニット20は、室内空調ユニット10と、座面吹出口と、後席用フェイス吹出口25とを備える自動車に適用される。室内空調ユニット10は、車室内の座席の外側の部位に配置されて空調風を吹き出す。座面吹出口は、前部座席3の座面にそれぞれ開口する。後席用フェイス吹出口25は、前部座席3の背面に設けられて、当該前部座席3に対して車両進行方向後部に配置される後部座席側に向けて開口する。車両用シート空調ユニット20は、複数の座面吹出口および後席用フェイス吹出口25と室内空調ユニット10との間に配置される単一のシート空調ダクト21を備える。室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11からシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空調風は、複数の微小座面吹出口と後席用フェイス吹出口25とから車室内に吹き出される。
 したがって、室内空調ユニット10と前部座席3の間にシート空調ダクト21を設け、室内空調ユニット10の空調風を前部座席3に送風することで、温度調整部を前部座席3に搭載しなくてもよく、前部座席3内の搭載性を向上させることができる。
 本実施形態では、室内空調ユニット10から吹き出される空調風を、複数の座面吹出口と後席用フェイス吹出口25とに導くために単一のシート空調ダクト21を用いている。このため、室内空調ユニット10から吹き出される空調風を、複数の座面吹出口と後席用フェイス吹出口25とに導くために2本のダクトを用いる場合に比べて、自動車に対して車両用シート空調ユニット20を搭載し易くすることができる。すなわち、自動車に対する車両用シート空調ユニット20の搭載性を向上することができる。
 一般的に、前部座席3の内部はリクライニング等の可動部の駆動用モータやエアバックなど搭載物が多い上、前部座席3の体格は乗員の居住空間に関わるため可能な限り小さくしたい。温度調整部を前部座席3内に持たない本実施形態は、そのような要求に有効な対応策となる。
 また、前部座席3の限られたスペースの中に温度調整部を配置する場合、温度調整部の体格に制限があるため空調の冷暖房能力にも限界がある。しかし、本実施形態は、室内空調ユニット10の空調風を利用することで、前部座席3に搭載する温度調整部よりも大きな冷暖房能力が得られる。
 本実施形態では、前述の通り、前部座席3の後側の後席用フェイス吹出口25から後部座席側に空調風を供給するものである。このため、前部座席の車幅方向中央側のアームレストに後席用フェイス吹出口25を設ける場合に比べて、後席用フェイス吹出口25および後席乗員の距離が短くなる。また後席用フェイス吹出口25によって後部座席の乗員に対してその正面から空調風を供給することで冷暖房性能、および後部座席の乗員に対する快適性を向上することができる。
 本実施形態では、前部座席3に乗員が存在し、かつ後部座席に乗員が存在しないときには、バルブ24の作動によって、サブファン22からシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空調風のうち複数の座面吹出口側に流れる風量が後席用フェイス吹出口25側に流れる風量よりも多くなる。このため、複数の座面吹出口から吹き出される空調風による冷暖房能力を向上することができる。
 一方、前部座席3に乗員が存在しなく、かつ後部座席に乗員が存在するときについて説明する。このとき、バルブ24の作動によって、サブファン22からシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空調風のうち複数の座面吹出口側に流れる風量よりも後席用フェイス吹出口25側に流れる風量が多くなる。したがって、後席用フェイス吹出口25から吹き出される空調風による冷暖房能力を向上することができる。したがって、車室内の乗員の有無に応じて乗員へ供給できる冷暖房能力を調整することができる。
 本実施形態では、サブファン22は、シート空調用吹出開口部11から吹き出される空調風を加勢して空調風を複数の座面吹出口や後席用フェイス吹出口25に導くことができる。したがって、シート空調ダクト21、複数の通風路34、および背面ダクト23の通風抵抗は、室内空調ユニット10に接続されるフェイスダクト、フットダクト等に比べ大きい。しかし、必要な風量の空調風を複数の座面吹出口や後席用フェイス吹出口25に導くことができる。
 上記第1実施形態では、サブファン22を室内空調ユニット10およびシート空調ダクト21の間に配置したが、これに代えて、次の(1)、(2-1)、(2-2)、(3)のようにしてもよい。
 (1)図6に示すように、シート空調ダクト21のうち空気入口および空気出口の間にサブファン22を配置する。
 (2-1)シート空調ダクト21の空気出口およびバルブ24の間にサブファン22を配置する。
 (2-2)図7に示すように、シート空調ダクト21内において、シート空調ダクト21の空気入口よりも下流側かつバルブ24よりも上流側に、サブファン22が配置される。そしてサブファン22は、計器盤2の外側に配置される。更にサブファン22は、シートクッション32内に配置される。
 (3)図8に示すように、サブファン22を廃止する。
 上記第1実施形態では、バルブ24を前部座席3内部に配置した例について説明したが、これに代えて、(4)、(5)のようにしてもよい。
 (4)図9に示すように、バルブ24を前部座席3の下側に配置する。
 (5)図10に示すように、バルブ24をサブファン22とシート空調ダクト21の空気入口との間に配置する。
 (第2実施形態)
 本第2実施形態では、上記第1実施形態のシート空調ユニット20において、後席用フットダクト50を追加した例について説明する。後席用フットダクト50が第2ダクトに対応する。
 図11に第2実施形態のシート空調ユニット20の構成を示す。
 本実施形態のシート空調ユニット20は、上記第1実施形態のシート空調ユニット20に後席用フットダクト50、およびバルブ60、61を追加したものである。このため、後席用フットダクト50、およびバルブ60、61について説明し、その他の構成の説明を簡素化する。バルブ60、61が第2風量調整弁に対応する。
 後席用フットダクト50の空気入口は、室内空調ユニット10の後席用吹出開口部12に接続されている。後席用フットダクト50の空気出口は、後席用フット吹出口51に接続されている。後席用吹出開口部12は、室内空調ユニット10において、冷却用熱交換器、加熱用熱交換器、およびエアミックスドア等によって温度調節された空調風を吹き出す吹出開口部である。後席用フット吹出口51が第2後席用吹出口に対応する。
 バルブ60は、後席用吹出開口部12の空気流れ上流側に配置されている。バルブ60は、後席用吹出開口部12の開口面積を調整する弁体、およびこの弁体を作動させる電動アクチュエータとから構成されている。バルブ61は、シート空調ダクト21の空気入口およびサブファン22の間に配置されている。バルブ61は、シート空調ダクト21の空気入口の開口面積を調整する弁体、およびこの弁体を作動させる電動アクチュエータとから構成されている。
 次に、本実施形態のシート空調ユニット20の電気的構成を図12に示す。
 本実施形態の電子制御装置40は、シート空調制御処理やダクト風量制御処理を実行する。電子制御装置40は、ダクト風量制御処理を実行する際に、操作部41の出力信号に基づいて、バルブ60、61を制御する。ダクト風量制御処理は、シート空調制御処理に対して並列的に実行される。
 次に、本実施形態のダクト風量制御処理について図13を参照して説明する。
 図13は、ダクト風量制御処理を示すフローチャートである。電子制御装置40は、図13に示すフローチャートにしたがって、コンピュータプログラムを実行する。
 例えば、前部座席3に乗員が存在し、後部座席に乗員が存在しない場合には、乗員は、操作部41を操作して、後席用フットダクト50に流れる風量よりもシート空調ダクト21に流れる風量を多くするように指令する。
 これに伴い、電子制御装置40は、操作部41からの出力信号に基づいて、前部座席3および後部座席のうち前部座席3に乗員が存在すると判定する(ステップS100、YES)。
 このとき、電子制御装置40は、バルブ61、60を制御して、後席用フットダクト50の空気入口を閉じて、シート空調ダクト21の空気入口を開ける(ステップS101A)。このため、室内空調ユニット10から後席用フットダクト50に流れる風量よりも室内空調ユニット10からシート空調ダクト21に流れる風量が多くなる。
 このとき、電子制御装置40は、バルブ24を制御して、座面空気通路21bを開けて、背面空気通路23aを閉じる。
 この場合、室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11からサブファン22、およびシート空調ダクト21を流れる空調風のうち大半の空調風は、複数の通風路34、および複数の座面吹出口を通して乗員側に吹き出される。
 一方、室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11からサブファン22、およびシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空気流について説明する。この空気流のうち、前記大半の空調風以外の残りの空調風は、背面ダクト23を通して後席用フェイス吹出口25から後席上半身相当位置に向けて吹き出される。
 また、前部座席3に乗員が存在しなく、後部座席に乗員が存在する場合には、乗員は、操作部41を操作して、後席用フットダクト50に流れる風量をシート空調ダクト21に流れる風量よりも多くするように指令する。
 これに伴い、電子制御装置40は、操作部41からの出力信号に基づいて、前部座席3および後部座席のうち後部座席に乗員が存在すると判定する(ステップS100、YES)。このとき、電子制御装置40は、ステップS111Aで、バルブ61、60を制御して、後席用フットダクト50の空気入口を開けて、シート空調ダクト21の空気入口を閉じる。このため、室内空調ユニット10から後席用フットダクト50に流れる風量は、室内空調ユニット10からシート空調ダクト21を通して後席用フット吹出口51に流れる風量よりも多くなる。
 このとき、電子制御装置40は、バルブ24を制御して、座面空気通路21bを閉じて、背面空気通路23aを開ける。
 この場合、室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11からサブファン22、およびシート空調ダクト21を流れる空調風のうち大半の空調風は、背面ダクト23を通して後席用フェイス吹出口25から後部座席の乗員の上半身(すなわち、車室内の後席側)に向けて吹き出される。
 一方、室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11からサブファン22、およびシート空調ダクト21を通して流れる空気流のうち、前記大半の空調風以外の残りの空調風は、複数の通風路34、および複数の座面吹出口を通して車室内に吹き出される。
 さらに、前部座席3に乗員が存在し、後部座席に乗員が存在する場合には、乗員は、操作部41を操作して、室内空調ユニット10から後席用フットダクト50とシート空調ダクト21とに同等の風量の空調風を吹き出させるように指令する。これに伴い、電子制御装置40は、操作部41からの出力信号に基づいて、前部座席3および後部座席のそれぞれに乗員が存在すると判定する(ステップS110、NO、ステップS120、YES)。このとき、電子制御装置40は、ステップS121Aで、バルブ61、60を制御して、後席用フットダクト50の空気入口とシート空調ダクト21の空気入口とをそれぞれ開ける。このため、室内空調ユニット10からシート空調ダクト21と後席用フットダクト50とに同等の風量の空調風が流れる。
 このとき、電子制御装置40は、バルブ24を制御して、座面空気通路21bおよび背面空気通路23aをそれぞれ開ける。このため、シート空調用吹出開口部11からサブファン22を通して流れる空調風のうち半分の空調風は、複数の通風路34および複数の座面吹出口を通して乗員側に吹き出される。そして残りの空調風は、背面ダクト23を通して後席用フェイス吹出口25から後部座席の乗員の上半身に向けて吹き出される。さらに、室内空調ユニット10から後席用フットダクト50に流れる空調風は、後席用フット吹出口51から後部座席の乗員の下半身に吹き出される。
 以上説明した本実施形態によれば、前部座席3に乗員が存在し、かつ後部座席に乗員が存在しないとき、電子制御装置40は、バルブ61、60を制御する。電子制御装置40はこの制御により、室内空調ユニット10からシート空調ダクト21に流れる風量を室内空調ユニット10から後席用フットダクト50に流れる風量よりも多くする。このため、シート空調ダクト21に流れる空調風による冷暖房能力を向上することができる。
 一方、前部座席3に乗員が存在しなく、かつ後部座席に乗員が存在するとき、電子制御装置40は、バルブ61、60を制御する。これにより、室内空調ユニット10からシート空調ダクト21に流れる風量よりも室内空調ユニット10から後席用フットダクト50に流れる風量が多くなる。このため、後席用フットダクト50に流れる空調風による冷暖房能力を向上することができる。このため、前部座席3および後部座席の乗員の有無に応じて座席毎の空調能力を制御することができる。
 (第3実施形態)
 本第3実施形態では、左側前部座席および右側前部座席に上記第2実施形態のシート空調ユニット20を適用した例について図14を参照して説明する。
 図14は、第3実施形態のシート空調ユニット20の構成を示す。
 本実施形態のシート空調ユニット20は、シート空調ダクト21、および後席用フットダクト50以外に、シート空調ダクト21a、および後席用フットダクト50aを備える。
 まず、本実施形態では、左側前部座席および右側前部座席には、上記第1実施形態の前部座席3と同様に、座面に複数の座面吹出口が形成され、かつ前部座席背面の後席用フェイス吹出口25が形成されている。左側前部座席に形成された複数の座面吹出口が複数の左側座面吹出口に対応する。右側前部座席に形成された複数の座面吹出口が複数の右側座面吹出口に対応する。左側前部座席背面の後席用フェイス吹出口25が左側後席用吹出口に対応する。右側前部座席背面の後席用フェイス吹出口25が右側後席用吹出口に対応する。
 ここで、シート空調ダクト21は、左側前部座席の複数の座面吹出口および後席用フェイス吹出口25と室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11との間に配置されている。シート空調ダクト21は、計器盤2の内側から左側前部座席側に延びるように形成されたものであって、左側前部座席に連結されている。シート空調ダクト21が左側ダクトに対応する。
 シート空調ダクト21aは、右側前部座席の複数の座面吹出口および後席用フェイス吹出口25と室内空調ユニット10のシート空調用吹出開口部11との間に配置されている。シート空調ダクト21aは、計器盤2の内側から右側前部座席側に延びるように形成されたものであって、右側前部座席に連結されている。シート空調ダクト21aが右側ダクトに対応する。
 後席用フットダクト50は、室内空調ユニット10の後席用吹出開口部12と左側後席用フット吹出口51との間に配置されている。左側後席用フット吹出口51は、左側後部座席の乗員下半身に空調風を吹き出す。後席用フットダクト50aは、室内空調ユニット10の後席用吹出開口部12aと右側後席用フット吹出口51aとの間に配置されている。右側後席用フット吹出口51aは、右側後部座席の乗員下半身に空調風を吹き出す。後席用フットダクト50aが第2フットダクト
 バルブ60は、後席用吹出開口部12の空気流れ上流側に配置されている。バルブ60は、後席用吹出開口部12の開口面積を調整する弁体、およびこの弁体を作動させる電動アクチュエータとから構成されている。
 バルブ60aは、後席用吹出開口部12aの空気流れ上流側に配置されている。バルブ60aは、後席用吹出開口部12aの開口面積を調整する弁体、およびこの弁体を作動させる電動アクチュエータとから構成されている。
 バルブ61は、シート空調ダクト21の空気入口およびサブファン22の間に配置されている。バルブ61は、シート空調ダクト21の空気入口の開口面積を調整する弁体、およびこの弁体を作動させる電動アクチュエータとから構成されている。
 バルブ61aは、シート空調ダクト21aの空気入口およびサブファン22の間に配置されている。バルブ61aは、シート空調ダクト21aの空気入口の開口面積を調整する弁体、およびこの弁体を作動させる電動アクチュエータとから構成されている。バルブ60、60a、61、61aは、電子制御装置40によって制御される。
 本実施形態では、サブファン22は、シート空調ダクト21、21aのそれぞれの空気入口とシート空調用吹出開口部11との間に配置されている。
 以上説明した本実施形態によれば、電子制御装置40は、左側前部座席および左側前部座席に対して座席毎に独立してシート空調制御処理やダクト風量制御処理を実行する。このため、バルブ60、60a、61、61aと、左側前部座席および左側前部座席のそれぞれのバルブ24とを制御することになる。
 したがって、左側前部座席の複数の座面吹出口と後席用フェイス吹出口25とからそれぞれ吹き出される風量、右側前部座席の複数の座面吹出口と後席用フェイス吹出口25とからそれぞれ吹き出される風量、左側後席用フット吹出口51から吹き出される風量、および右側後席用フット吹出口51aから吹き出される風量をそれぞれ独立して制御することができる。これにより、右側前部座席、左側前部座席、右側後部座席、左側後部座席のそれぞれの空調能力を独立して制御することができる。
 例えば、右側前部座席、左側前部座席、および右側後部座席に乗員が存在し、左側後部座席に乗員が存在しない場合は、以下のような風量が実現する。すなわち、右側前部座席の複数の座面吹出口から吹き出される風量と、右側後席用フェイス吹出口25から吹き出される風量とが、同量になる。それと共に、左側前部座席の複数の座面吹出口から吹き出される風量が、左側後席用フェイス吹出口25から吹き出される風量より多くなる。
 また例えば、右側前部座席および左側後部座席に乗員が存在し、右側後部座席にも左側前部座席にも乗員が存在しない場合は、以下のような風量が実現する。すなわち、右側前部座席の複数の座面吹出口から吹き出される風量が、右側後席用フェイス吹出口25から吹き出される風量より多くなる。それと共に、左側前部座席の複数の座面吹出口から吹き出される風量が、左側後席用フェイス吹出口25から吹き出される風量より少なくなる。
 (第4実施形態)
 次に第4実施形態について、図15、図16、図17、図18、図19を用いて説明する。本実施形態の車両用空調装置1では、第1、第2、第3実施形態の車両用空調装置1に対して、後席用フェイス吹出口25の近傍に部材が追加されている。この結果、背面ダクト23内の背面空気通路23aを通る気流は、図15に示すように、後席用フェイス吹出口25から、前部座席3の後方の後部座席70に着座する乗員71の下半身に向けて、吹き出される。
 後席用フェイス吹出口25の近傍に追加される部材は、図16、図17に示す上下調整ルーバ61a、61bおよび上下調整シャフト62a、62bである。これら部材61a、61b、62a、62bは、背面空気通路23a内のうち後席用フェイス吹出口25に囲まれる部分に配置される。なお、図16は、車幅方向に直交する面で背面ダクト23等を切った断面図(すなわち、縦断面図)である。
 上下調整シャフト62aは、車両の幅方向に伸びる棒形状の部材である。また、上下調整シャフト62aは、両端が背面ダクト23に軸支されている。これにより、上下調整シャフト62aは、背面ダクト23に対して回転可能となっている。上下調整ルーバ61aは、平板形状の部材であり、上下調整シャフト62aに固定されている。したがって、上下調整シャフト62aが回転すると、上下調整ルーバ61aも上下調整シャフト62aと一体的に回転する。
 前段落において、上下調整ルーバ61aと上下調整シャフト62aをそれぞれ上下調整ルーバ61bと上下調整シャフト62bに置き換えた事項も成立する。上下調整ルーバ61a、61bの各々は、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通る気流を曲げる曲げ部に対応する。
 上下調整シャフト62aと上下調整シャフト62bは車両上下方向に並んでいる。より具体的には、上下調整シャフト62aが上下調整シャフト62bよりも上側に配置されている。そして、上下調整シャフト62aの伸びる方向と上下調整シャフト62bの伸びる方向は平行になっている。
 また、上下調整ルーバ61aと上下調整ルーバ61bも、車両上下方向に並んでいる。より具体的には、上下調整ルーバ61aが上下調整ルーバ61bよりも上側に配置されている。
 なお、上下調整シャフト62aは、図示しないA動力伝達機構(例えばギヤ機構)を介してA上下調整モータに接続されている。また、上下調整シャフト62bは、図示しないB動力伝達機構(例えばギヤ機構)を介してB上下調整モータに接続されている。
 電子制御装置40は、シート空調制御処理を実行する際に、操作部41の出力信号に基づいて、これらA上下調整モータおよびB上下調整モータを独立に制御する。これにより、電子制御装置40は、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bの姿勢を独立に調整することができる。調整される姿勢は、より具体的には、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bの、上下調整シャフト62a、62bを回転軸とする回転角度位置である。
 例えば、図16に示す状態では、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bの各々は、下流側を下向きにして傾いている。すなわち、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bの各々の表面の車両上下方向位置が、気流の上流側から下流側に向かうにつれて、徐々に車両下方向に変化している。このとき、上下調整ルーバ61aの板面と上下調整ルーバ61bの板面は、互いに平行になっている。なお、後席用フェイス吹出口25の内壁は、車両前後方向に真っ直ぐ伸びている。
 このような図16の状態では、背面ダクト23内の背面空気通路23aを通る気流は、車両前後方向に流れた後、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bによって気流の向きが変えられる。その結果、当該気流は、図15、図16に示すように、後席用フェイス吹出口25から、前部座席3の後方の後部座席70に着座する乗員71の下半身に向けて、吹き出される。このようになっていることで、第1、第2、第3実施形態に比べて、後部座席へ送られる気流の向きを、より下方に向けることができる。
 また、図18に示す状態では、上下調整ルーバ61aは下流側を上向きにして傾いている。すなわち、上下調整ルーバ61aの各々の表面の車両上下方向位置が、気流の上流側から下流側に向かうにつれて、徐々に車両上方向に変化している。また、上下調整ルーバ61bは下流側を下向きにして傾いている。したがって、上下調整ルーバ61aの板面と上下調整ルーバ61bの板面は、下流に向かうにつれて互いに離れる。
 このような図18の状態では、背面ダクト23内の背面空気通路23aを通る気流は、車両前後方向に流れた後、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bによって気流の向きが変えられる。具体的には、上下調整ルーバ61aによって気流が上方に曲げられ、上下調整ルーバ61bによって気流が下方に曲げられる。
 その結果、当該空気は、図18に示すように、後席用フェイス吹出口25から、後方斜め上方および後方斜め下方に広がって吹き出される。したがって、前部座席3の後方の後部座席70に着座する乗員71の上半身および下半身に向けて、空気が吹き出される。
 このようになっていることで、第1、第2、第3実施形態に比べて、後部座席へ送られる気流の向きを、より下方に向けることができる。それと共に、第1、第2、第3実施形態に比べて、後部座席へ送られる気流の範囲を、上方向と下方向の両方に拡大することができる。また、後部座席へ送られる気流の流路断面積を、上方向と下方向の両方に拡大することができる。この場合、気流を後部座席の乗員の広い範囲に届けられることで快適性を向上できる。
 また、図19に示す状態では、上下調整ルーバ61aは下流側を下向きにして傾いている。また、上下調整ルーバ61bは下流側を上向きにして傾いている。したがって、上下調整ルーバ61aの板面と上下調整ルーバ61bの板面は、下流に向かうにつれて互いに近づく。
 このような図19の状態では、背面ダクト23内の背面空気通路23aを通る気流は、車両前後方向に流れた後、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bによって気流の向きが変えられる。具体的には、上下調整ルーバ61aによって気流が上方に曲げられ、上下調整ルーバ61bによって気流が下方に曲げられる。
 その結果、当該気流は、図19に示すように、後席用フェイス吹出口25から、上下方向に狭まって吹き出される。
 このようになっていることで、第1、第2、第3実施形態に比べて、後部座席へ送られる気流の範囲を、上方向と下方向の両方に狭めることができる。また、後部座席へ送られる気流の流路断面積を、上方向と下方向の両方に縮小することができる。この場合、気流を集中的に後部座席乗員に届けられることで快適性を向上できる。
 このように、本実施形態では、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bが、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通る気流を車両上下方向に曲げて気流の車両上下方向の向きを変えることができる。
 また、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bが、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通って後席用フェイス吹出口25の外に吹き出された気流の拡散度合いを変えることができる。具体的には、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bは、気流の下流に向かって気流を車両の上下方向に広げることができる。また、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bは、気流の下流に向かって気流を車両の上下方向に狭めることができる。したがって、気流を集中的にまたは広い範囲に届けることができるので、後部座席の乗員の快適性が向上する。
 (第5実施形態)
 次に第5実施形態について説明する。本実施形態の車両用空調装置1では、第1、第2、第3実施形態の車両用空調装置1に対して、後席用フェイス吹出口25の形状が変更されている。この結果、背面ダクト23内の背面空気通路23aを通る気流は、図15に示したように、後席用フェイス吹出口25から、前部座席3の後方の後部座席70に着座する乗員71の下半身に向けて、吹き出される。
 具体的には、本実施形態の後席用フェイス吹出口25の形状は、図20に示すような形状となっている。すなわち、本実施形態の後席用フェイス吹出口25に形成された内壁面のうち、上側の壁面、右側の壁面、左側の壁面の形状は変化せず、下側の壁面のみが変化している。下側の壁面は、上流壁面231および下流壁面232を有している。下流壁面232が曲げ部に対応する。は後席用フェイス吹出口25の内壁面は、背面空気通路23aのうち後席用フェイス吹出口25に囲まれた部分に面する壁面である。
 上流壁面231は、車両後方に真っ直ぐ伸びている。より具体的には、車幅方向に垂直な任意の平面と上流壁面231とが交わっている部分の線は、車両前後方向に平行な直線となっている。この線の車両前後方向に対する上下傾斜角は、一定の0°である。したがって、上流壁面231の上方を通る気流は、車両後方に向けて進む。なお、線が車両後方に向かうにつれて当該線の車両上下方向の位置が低くなる場合に、当該線の車両前後方向に対する上下傾斜角が正となる。
 下流壁面232は、上流壁面231の下流端と滑らかに接続する。したがって、下流壁面232は、後席用フェイス吹出口25の下流側端部に位置する。そして、下流壁面232は、車両後方に伸びながら、滑らかに車両下方に向けて曲がっている。つまり、下流壁面232は、車両上向きに凸の丸みを帯びたR形状となっている。より具体的には、車幅方向に垂直な任意の平面と下流壁面232とが交わっている部分の線の、車両前後方向に対する上下傾斜角は、正の値である。そして、この線の上下傾斜角は、車両後方に進むにつれて大きくなっている。
 したがって、車幅方向に垂直な任意の平面と下流壁面232とが交わっている部分の線の任意の部分の曲率半径は、当該平面と上流壁面231とが交わっている部分の線のどの部分の曲率半径よりも、小さくなっている。
 このようになっていることで、下流壁面232の上方を通る気流は、下流壁面232の形状に起因するコアンダ効果によって車両下方向に曲げられる。したがって、フェイス吹出口25を出た空気は、図15、図20に示すように、後部座席70に着座する乗員71の下半身に向けて吹き出される。
 このように、本実施形態では、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通る気流を上下方向下向きに曲げて、気流の上下方向の向きを変えることができる。
 また、下流壁面232が、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通って後席用フェイス吹出口25の外に吹き出された気流の拡散度合いを変えることができる。具体的には、下流壁面232は、気流の下流に向かって気流を車両の上下方向下側に広げることができる。したがって、気流を広い範囲に届けることができるので、後部座席の乗員の快適性が向上する。
 (第6実施形態)
 次に第6実施形態について説明する。本実施形態の車両用空調装置1では、第4実施形態の車両用空調装置1に対して、後席用フェイス吹出口25の形状が変更されている。
 具体的には、本実施形態の後席用フェイス吹出口25の形状は、図21に示すような形状となっている。すなわち、本実施形態の後席用フェイス吹出口25の内壁面のうち、右側の壁面、左側の壁面の形状は変化せず、上側の壁面および下側の壁面が変化している。下側の壁面は、上流壁面231および下流壁面232を有している。上側の壁面は、上流壁面233および下流壁面234を有している。下流壁面232、234の各々が曲げ部に対応する。上流壁面231および下流壁面232の形状は、第5実施形態と同じである。
 上流壁面233は、車両後方に真っ直ぐ伸びている。より具体的には、車幅方向に垂直な任意の平面と上流壁面233とが交わっている部分の線は、車両前後方向に平行な直線となっている。この線の車両前後方向に対する上下傾斜角は、一定の0°である。したがって、上流壁面233の上方を通る気流は、車両後方に向けて進む。
 下流壁面234は、上流壁面233の下流端と滑らかに接続する。したがって、下流壁面234は、後席用フェイス吹出口25の下流側端部に位置する。そして、下流壁面234は、車両後方に伸びながら、滑らかに車両上方に向けて曲がっている。つまり、下流壁面234は、車両下向きに凸の丸みを帯びたR形状となっている。より具体的には、車幅方向に垂直な任意の平面と下流壁面234とが交わっている部分の線の、車両前後方向に対する上下傾斜角は、負の値である。そして、この線の上下傾斜角の絶対値は、車両後方に進むにつれて大きくなっている。
 したがって、車幅方向に垂直な任意の平面と下流壁面234とが交わっている部分の線の任意の部分の曲率半径は、当該平面と上流壁面233とが交わっている部分の線のどの部分の曲率半径よりも、小さくなっている。
 このようになっていることで、下流壁面234の下方を通る気流は、下流壁面234の形状に起因するコアンダ効果によって車両上方向に曲げられる。それと共に、下流壁面232の上方を通る気流は、下流壁面232の形状に起因するコアンダ効果によって車両下方向に曲げられる。したがって、フェイス吹出口25を出た空気は、図21に示すように、後部座席70に着座する乗員71の下半身および上半身に向けて吹き出される。
 なお、本実施形態の上下調整ルーバ61a、61bは、第4実施形態と同様に姿勢制御される。
 このように、本実施形態では、第4実施形態と同等の効果を得ることができる。また、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通る気流を上下方向上向きおよび下向きの両方に曲げて、気流の上下方向の向きを変えることができる。
 また、下流壁面232、234が、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通って後席用フェイス吹出口25の外に吹き出された気流の拡散度合いを変えることができる。具体的には、下流壁面232、234は、気流の下流に向かって気流を車両の上下方向上側および下側に広げることができる。したがって、気流を広い範囲に届けることができるので、後部座席の乗員の快適性が向上する。
 (第7実施形態)
 次に第7実施形態について、図22、図23、図24、図25を用いて説明する。本実施形態の車両用空調装置1では、第1、第2、第3実施形態の車両用空調装置1に対して、後席用フェイス吹出口25の近傍に部材が追加されている。
 後席用フェイス吹出口25の近傍に追加される部材は、図22、図23に示す左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dおよび左右調整シャフト72a、72b、72c、72dである。これら部材71a、71b、71c、71d、72a、72b、72c、72dは、背面空気通路23a内のうち後席用フェイス吹出口25に囲まれる部分に配置される。なお、図22は、車幅方向に直交する面で背面ダクト23等を切った縦断面図である。
 左右調整シャフト72aは、車両の上下方向に伸びる棒形状の部材である。また、左右調整シャフト72aは、両端が背面ダクト23に軸支されている。これにより、左右調整シャフト72aは、背面ダクト23に対して回転可能となっている。左右調整ルーバ71aは、平板形状の部材であり、左右調整シャフト72aに固定されている。したがって、左右調整シャフト72aが回転すると、左右調整ルーバ71aも左右調整シャフト72aと一体的に回転する。
 前段落において、左右調整ルーバ71aと左右調整シャフト72aをそれぞれ左右調整ルーバ71bと左右調整シャフト72bに置き換えた事項も成立する。また、前段落において、左右調整ルーバ71aと左右調整シャフト72aをそれぞれ左右調整ルーバ71cと左右調整シャフト72cに置き換えた事項も成立する。また、前段落において、左右調整ルーバ71aと左右調整シャフト72aをそれぞれ左右調整ルーバ71dと左右調整シャフト72dに置き換えた事項も成立する。左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dの各々は、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通る気流を曲げる曲げ部に対応する。
 図23に示すように、左右調整シャフト72a、72b、72c、72dは車幅方向に並んでいる。そして、左右調整シャフト72a、72b、72c、72dの伸びる方向は互いに平行になっている。また、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dも、車幅方向に並んでいる。
 なお、左右調整シャフト72aは、図示しないP動力伝達機構(例えばギヤ機構)を介してP左右調整モータに接続されている。また、左右調整シャフト72bは、図示しないQ動力伝達機構(例えばギヤ機構)を介してQ左右調整モータに接続されている。また、左右調整シャフト72cは、図示しないR動力伝達機構(例えばギヤ機構)を介してR左右調整モータに接続されている。また、左右調整シャフト72dは、図示しないS動力伝達機構(例えばギヤ機構)を介してS左右調整モータに接続されている。
 電子制御装置40は、シート空調制御処理を実行する際に、操作部41の出力信号に基づいて、これらP左右調整モータ、Q左右調整モータ、R左右調整モータ、S左右調整モータを独立に制御する。これにより、電子制御装置40は、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dの姿勢を独立に調整することができる。調整される姿勢は、より具体的には、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dの、左右調整シャフト72a、72b、72c、72dを回転軸とする回転角度位置である。
 例えば、図23に示す状態では、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dの各々は、左右方向に傾かない姿勢、すなわち、車幅方向に直交した姿勢となっている。このとき、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dの板面は、互いに平行になっている。なお、後席用フェイス吹出口25の内壁は、車両前後方向に真っ直ぐ伸びている。
 また、図24に示す状態では、左右調整ルーバ71a、71bは下流側を車幅方向右向きにして傾いている。すなわち、左右調整ルーバ71a、71bの各々の表面の車幅方向位置が、気流の上流側から下流側に向かうにつれて、徐々に車幅方向右に変化している。また、左右調整ルーバ71c、71dは、下流側を車幅方向左向きにして傾いている。したがって、左右調整ルーバ71a、71bの板面は、左右調整ルーバ71c、71dの板面に対して、下流に向かうにつれて離れる。
 このような図24の状態では、背面ダクト23内の背面空気通路23aを通る気流は、車両前後方向に流れた後、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dによって気流の向きが変えられる。具体的には、左右調整ルーバ71a、71bによって気流が車幅方向右側に曲げられ、左右調整ルーバ71c、71dによって気流が車幅方向左側に曲げられる。
 その結果、当該気流は、図24に示すように、後席用フェイス吹出口25から、後方斜め右方および後方斜め右方に広がって吹き出される。
 このようになっていることで、後部座席へ送られる気流の範囲を、車幅方向右方と車幅方向左方の両方に拡大することができる。また、後部座席へ送られる気流の流路断面積を、車幅方向右方と車幅方向左方の両方に拡大することができる。この場合、気流を後部座席の乗員の広い範囲に届けられることで快適性を向上できる。
 また、図25に示す状態では、左右調整ルーバ71a、71bは下流側を車幅方向左向きにして傾いている。また、左右調整ルーバ71c、71dは下流側を車幅方向右向きにして傾いている。したがって、左右調整ルーバ71a、71bの板面は、左右調整ルーバ71c、71dの板面に対して、下流に向かうにつれて近づく。
 このような図25の状態では、背面ダクト23内の背面空気通路23aを通る気流は、車両前後方向に流れた後、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dによって気流の向きが変えられる。具体的には、左右調整ルーバ71a、71bによって気流が車幅方向左方に曲げられ、左右調整ルーバ71c、71dによって気流が車幅方向右方に曲げられる。
 その結果、当該気流は、図25に示すように、後席用フェイス吹出口25から、車幅方向に狭まって吹き出される。
 このようになっていることで、第1、第2、第3実施形態に比べて、後部座席へ送られる気流の範囲を、車幅方向の右方向と左方向の両方に狭めることができる。また、後部座席へ送られる気流の流路断面積を、車幅方向の右方向と左方向の両方に縮小することができる。この場合、気流を集中的に後部座席乗員に届けられることで快適性を向上できる。
 このように、本実施形態では、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dが、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通る気流を車両上下方向に曲げて気流の車両上下方向の向きを変えることができる。
 また、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dが、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通って後席用フェイス吹出口25の外に吹き出された気流の拡散度合いを変えることができる。具体的には、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dは、気流の下流に向かって気流を車幅方向に広げることができる。また、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dは、気流の下流に向かって気流を車幅方向に狭めることができる。したがって、気流を集中的にまたは広い範囲に届けることができるので、後部座席の乗員の快適性が向上する。
 (第8実施形態)
 次に第8実施形態について説明する。本実施形態の車両用空調装置1では、第7実施形態の車両用空調装置1に対して、後席用フェイス吹出口25の形状が変更されている。
 具体的には、本実施形態の後席用フェイス吹出口25の形状は、図26に示すような形状となっている。すなわち、本実施形態の後席用フェイス吹出口25の内壁面のうち、上側の壁面、下側の壁面の形状は変化せず、右側の壁面および左側の壁面が変化している。なお、図26は、車両上下方向に直交する面で背面ダクト23等を切った断面図(すなわち、横断面図)である。
 左側の壁面は、上流壁面235および下流壁面236を有している。右側の壁面は、上流壁面237および下流壁面238を有している。下流壁面236、238の各々が曲げ部に対応する。
 上流壁面235は、車両後方に真っ直ぐ伸びている。より具体的には、車両上下方向に垂直な任意の平面と上流壁面235とが交わっている部分の線は、車両前後方向に平行な直線となっている。この線の車両前後方向に対する左右傾斜角は、一定の0°である。したがって、上流壁面235の上方を通る気流は、車両後方に向けて進む。なお、線が車両後方に向かうにつれて当該線の車幅方向の位置が左に移動する場合に、当該線の車両前後方向に対する左右傾斜角が正となる。
 下流壁面236は、上流壁面235の下流端と滑らかに接続する。したがって、下流壁面236は、後席用フェイス吹出口25の下流側端部に位置する。そして、下流壁面236は、車両後方に伸びながら、滑らかに車両左方に向けて曲がっている。つまり、下流壁面236は、車幅方向右向きに凸の丸みを帯びたR形状となっている。より具体的には、車両上下方向に垂直な任意の平面と下流壁面236とが交わっている部分の線の、車両前後方向に対する左右傾斜角は、正の値である。そして、この線の傾斜角の絶対値は、車両後方に進むにつれて大きくなっている。
 したがって、車両上下方向に垂直な任意の平面と下流壁面236とが交わっている部分の線の任意の部分の曲率半径は、当該平面と上流壁面235とが交わっている部分の線のどの部分の曲率半径よりも、小さくなっている。
 上流壁面237は、車両後方に真っ直ぐ伸びている。より具体的には、車両上下方向に垂直な任意の平面と上流壁面237とが交わっている部分の線は、車両前後方向に平行な直線となっている。この線の車両前後方向に対する左右傾斜角は、一定の0°である。したがって、上流壁面237の上方を通る気流は、車両後方に向けて進む。
 下流壁面238は、上流壁面237の下流端と滑らかに接続する。したがって、下流壁面238は、後席用フェイス吹出口25の下流側端部に位置する。そして、下流壁面238は、車両後方に伸びながら、滑らかに車両右方に向けて曲がっている。つまり、下流壁面238は、車幅方向左向きに凸の丸みを帯びたR形状となっている。より具体的には、車両上下方向に垂直な任意の平面と下流壁面238とが交わっている部分の線の、車両前後方向に対する左右傾斜角は、負の値である。そして、この線の傾斜角の絶対値は、車両後方に進むにつれて大きくなっている。
 したがって、車両上下方向に垂直な任意の平面と下流壁面238とが交わっている部分の線の任意の部分の曲率半径は、当該平面と上流壁面237とが交わっている部分の線のどの部分の曲率半径よりも、小さくなっている。
 このようになっていることで、下流壁面236の右方を通る気流は、下流壁面236の形状に起因するコアンダ効果によって車両左方向に曲げられる。それと共に、下流壁面238の左方を通る気流は、下流壁面238の形状に起因するコアンダ効果によって車両右方向に曲げられる。
 なお、本実施形態の左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dは、第7実施形態と同様に姿勢制御される。
 このように、本実施形態では、第7実施形態と同等の効果を得ることができる。また、下流壁面236、238が、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通って後席用フェイス吹出口25の外に吹き出された気流の拡散度合いを変えることができる。具体的には、下流壁面236、238は、気流の下流に向かって気流を車幅方向左側および右側に広げることができる。したがって、気流を広い範囲に届けることができるので、後部座席の乗員の快適性が向上する。また、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dによる気流の曲げ効果と下流壁面236、238による気流の曲げ効果が組み合わさって実現する。
 (他の実施形態)
 (1)上記第1~第3の実施形態では、シート空調ユニット20は、車室内最前部の計器盤2の内側に配設されている室内空調ユニット10から吹き出される空調風を利用した例について説明したが、これに限らず、次のようにしてもよい。すなわち、シート空調ユニット20に空調風を供給する室内空調ユニット10は、車室内のうち座席の外側であれば、どのような位置に配置されている室内空調ユニットでもよい。
 例えば、シート空調ユニット20は、車室内の天井側に配置されている室内空調ユニット10から吹き出される空調風を利用してもよい。シート空調ユニット20は、車室内の車両進行方向後側に配置されている室内空調ユニット10から吹き出される空調風を利用してもよい。シート空調ユニット20は、車室内の車幅方向に配置されている室内空調ユニット10から吹き出される空調風を利用してもよい。
 (2)複数の座面吹出口や後席用フェイス吹出口25を設ける座席としては、車室内のうち最も前側の座席に限られない。複数の座面吹出口や後席用フェイス吹出口25を設ける座席としては、その当該座席の車両進行方向後側に後部座席が存在する座席ならば、どのような座席であってもよい。例えば、3列シートの2列目の座席に複数の座面吹出口や後席用フェイス吹出口25を設けてもよい。
 (3)上記第1~第3の実施形態では、前部座席3の背面のうち後部座席の乗員に対して正面になる部位に後席用フェイス吹出口25を設けた例について説明したが、これに限らず、前部座席3の背面であるならば、後部座席の乗員に対して正面になる部位からずれた部位に後席用フェイス吹出口25を設けてもよい。
 (4)上記第1~第3の実施形態では、前部座席3に乗員が存在し、後部座席に乗員が存在する場合には、室内空調ユニット10から後席用フットダクト50とシート空調ダクト21とに同等の風量の空調風を吹き出させるようにした例について説明したが、これに限らず、次のようにしてもよい。
 すなわち、室内空調ユニット10から後席用フットダクト50に流れる風量と室内空調ユニット10からシート空調ダクト21に流れる風量とが異なるようにしてもよい。
 (5)上記第1~第3実施形態では、操作部41の出力信号に基づいて、ステップS100、ステップS110、ステップS120の判定を実施した例について説明したが、これに限らず、次のようにしてもよい。すなわち、座席毎に着座したか否かを判定する着座センサを車室内の各座席に設け、座席毎の着座センサの検出信号に基づいて、ステップS100、ステップS110、ステップS120の判定を実施してもよい。
 (6)本開示のシート空調ユニット20を適用する自動車の種別は、どのようなものでもよい。各種の自動車に本開示のシート空調ユニット20を適用することができる。
 (7)第4、第6実施形態の上下調整ルーバ61a、61bおよび上下調整シャフト62a、62bが、第7、第8実施形態の背面空気通路23a内のうち後席用フェイス吹出口25に囲まれる部分に追加配置されてもよい。この場合、上下調整ルーバ61a、61bは、第4、第6、第7実施形態と同様に姿勢制御される。
 また、第7、第8実施形態の左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dおよび左右調整シャフト72a、72b、72c、72dが、第4、第5、第6実施形態の背面空気通路23a内のうち後席用フェイス吹出口25に囲まれる部分に追加配置されてもよい。この場合、左右調整ルーバ71a、71b、71c、71dは、第7、第8実施形態と同様に姿勢制御される。
 これらのようになっていれば、車両上下方向および車幅方向の両方に気流を曲げることが可能になる。
 (8)第5実施形態の上流壁面231および下流壁面232の形状を、第4、第7、第8実施形態の後席用フェイス吹出口25の内壁面のうち下側の壁面に適用してもよい。
 また、第6実施形態の上流壁面231、233および下流壁面232、234の形状を、第5、第7、第8実施形態の後席用フェイス吹出口25の内壁面のうち上側および下側の壁面に適用してもよい。
 また、第8実施形態の上流壁面235、237および下流壁面236、238の形状を、第4、第5、第6実施形態の後席用フェイス吹出口25の内壁面のうち右側および左側の壁面に適用してもよい。
 これらのようになっていれば、車両上下方向および車幅方向の両方に気流を曲げることが可能になる。
 (9)上記第4~第8実施形態では、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通る気流が車両上下方向および車幅方向のうち一方または両方に曲げられている。しかし、気流が曲げられる方向は必ずしもこのようになっていなくともよい。例えば、後席用フェイス吹出口25を通る気流が車両上下方向と車幅方向の間の斜め方向(例えば、車両右下方向、車両右上方向)に曲げられるように、ルーバまたは後席用フェイス吹出口25の内壁面が構成されていてもよい。
 なお、本開示は上記した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、適宜変更が可能である。また、上記各実施形態は、互いに無関係なものではなく、組み合わせが明らかに不可な場合を除き、適宜組み合わせが可能である。また、上記各実施形態において、実施形態を構成する要素は、特に必須であると明示した場合および原理的に明らかに必須であると考えられる場合等を除き、必ずしも必須のものではないことは言うまでもない。また、上記各実施形態において、実施形態の構成要素の個数、数値、量、範囲等の数値が言及されている場合、特に必須であると明示した場合および原理的に明らかに特定の数に限定される場合等を除き、その特定の数に限定されるものではない。また、上記各実施形態において、構成要素等の形状、位置関係等に言及するときは、特に明示した場合および原理的に特定の形状、位置関係等に限定される場合等を除き、その形状、位置関係等に限定されるものではない。
 上記実施形態のステップS101が第1制御部に対応し、ステップS111が第2制御部に対応し、ステップS101Aが第3制御部に対応し、ステップS111Aが第4制御部に対応している。

Claims (16)

  1.  車室内のうち座席の外側に配置されて空調風を吹き出す室内空調ユニット(10)を備える自動車に適用される車両用シート空調ユニットであって、
     前記座席のうち乗員が着座する座面にそれぞれ開口する複数の座面吹出口と、
     前記座席のうち車両進行方向後側に設けられて、前記座席に対して車両進行方向後側に配置される後部座席側に向けて開口する第1後席用吹出口(25)と、
     前記複数の座面吹出口および前記第1後席用吹出口と前記室内空調ユニットとの間に配置されて、前記室内空調ユニットからの空調風を前記複数の座面吹出口および前記第1後席用吹出口に導く単一の第1ダクト(21)とを備え、
     前記室内空調ユニットから前記第1ダクトを通して流れる前記空調風は、前記複数の座面吹出口および前記第1後席用吹出口から車室内に吹き出される車両用シート空調ユニット。
  2.  前記室内空調ユニットは、車室内のうちインストルメントパネル(2)の内側に配置されており、
     前記単一の第1ダクトは、前記インストルメントパネル内から前記座席側に延びるように形成されている請求項1に記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  3.  前記室内空調ユニットから前記第1ダクトを流れる前記空調風のうち前記複数の座面吹出口側に流れる風量と前記第1後席用吹出口側に流れる風量との割合を調整する第1風量調整弁(24)と、
     前記座席に乗員が存在し、かつ前記後部座席に乗員が存在しないと判定したときには、前記第1ダクトを流れる前記空調風のうち前記複数の座面吹出口側に流れる風量を前記第1後席用吹出口側に流れる風量よりも多くするように前記第1風量調整弁を制御する第1制御部(S101)と、
     前記座席に乗員が存在しなく、かつ前記後部座席に乗員が存在すると判定したときには、前記第1ダクトを流れる前記空調風のうち前記複数の座面吹出口側に流れる風量よりも前記第1後席用吹出口側に流れる風量を多くするように前記第1風量調整弁を制御する第2制御部(S111)と、
     を備える請求項1または2に記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  4.  前記室内空調ユニットから前記第1ダクトを流れる前記空調風のうち前記複数の座面吹出口側に流れる風量と前記第1後席用吹出口側に流れる風量との割合を調整する第1風量調整弁(24)と、
     前記後部座席に乗員が存在しないと判定したときには、前記第1ダクトを流れる前記空調風のうち前記複数の座面吹出口側に流れる風量を前記第1後席用吹出口側に流れる風量よりも多くするように前記第1風量調整弁を制御する第1制御部(S101)と、
     を備える請求項1または2に記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  5.  前記第1後席用吹出口に対して独立して設けられて前記後部座席に向けて開口する第2後席用吹出口(51)と、
     前記第1ダクトに対して独立して設けられて前記室内空調ユニットから吹き出される空調風を前記第2後席用吹出口に導く第2ダクト(50)と、
     を備える請求項1ないし4のいずれか1つに記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  6.  前記室内空調ユニットから前記第1ダクトに流れる風量と前記室内空調ユニットから前記第2ダクトに流れる風量との割合を調整する第2風量調整弁(61、60)と、
     前記座席に乗員が存在し、かつ前記後部座席に乗員が存在しないと判定したときには、前記室内空調ユニットから前記第1ダクトに流れる風量を前記室内空調ユニットから前記第2ダクトに流れる風量よりも多くするように前記第2風量調整弁を制御する第3制御部(S101A)と、
     前記座席に乗員が存在しなく、かつ前記後部座席に乗員が存在すると判定したときには、前記室内空調ユニットから前記第1ダクトに流れる風量よりも前記室内空調ユニットから前記第2ダクトに流れる風量を多くするように前記第2風量調整弁を制御する第3制御部(S111A)と、
     を備える請求項5に記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  7.  前記第1後席用吹出口は、前記後部座席の乗員の上半身に前記空調風を吹き出すフェイス吹出口であり、
     前記第2後席用吹出口は、前記後部座席の乗員の下半身に前記空調風を吹き出すフット吹出口である請求項5または6に記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  8.  前記車両において、前記座席は左側前部座席であり、
     前記複数の座面吹出口は、複数の左側座面吹出口であり、
     前記第1後席用吹出口は、左側後席用吹出口であり、
     前記ダクトは左側ダクトであり、
     当該車両用シート空調ユニットは、
     前記車両において前記左側前部座席の右側にある右側前部座席のうち乗員が着座する座面にそれぞれ開口する複数の右側座面吹出口と、
     前記右側前部座席のうち車両進行方向後側に設けられて、前記右側前部座席に対して車両進行方向後側に配置される後部座席側に向けて開口する右側後席用吹出口と、
     前記複数の右側座面吹出口および前記右側後席用吹出口と前記室内空調ユニットとの間に配置されて、前記室内空調ユニットからの空調風を前記複数の右側座面吹出口および前記右側後席用吹出口に導く単一の右側ダクト(21a)とを備え、
     前記室内空調ユニットから前記右側ダクトを通して流れる前記空調風は、前記複数の右側座面吹出口および前記右側後席用吹出口から車室内に吹き出され、
     前記複数の左側座面吹出口から吹き出される風量、前記左側後席用吹出口から吹き出される風量、前記複数の右側座面吹出口から吹き出される風量、および前記右側後席用吹出口から吹き出される風量が、それぞれ独立して制御される請求項1ないし7のいずれか1つに記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  9.  前記第1後席用吹出口を通る気流を曲げる曲げ部(232、234、236、238、61a、61b、71a、71b、71c、71d)を有している請求項1ないし8のいずれか1つに記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  10.  前記曲げ部が、前記第1後席用吹出口を通る気流を前記車両の上下方向および車幅方向のうち少なくとも一方に曲げる請求項9に記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  11.  前記曲げ部は、前記第1後席用吹出口に形成された壁面(232、234、236、238)を含み、前記壁面は、前記第1後席用吹出口に囲まれる通路に面しており、前記壁面は、前記車両の後方に伸びながら曲がっている請求項9または10に記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  12.  前記曲げ部は、前記第1後席用吹出口によって囲まれる部分に配置されたルーバ(61a、61b、71a、71b、71c、71d)を含む請求項9ないし11のいずれか1つに記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  13.  前記曲げ部は、気流の下流に向かって気流を前記車両の上下方向に広げる請求項9ないし12のいずれか1つに記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  14.  前記曲げ部は、気流の下流に向かって気流を前記車両の上下方向に狭める請求項9ないし12のいずれか1つに記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  15.  前記曲げ部は、気流の下流に向かって気流を前記車両の車幅方向に広げる請求項9ないし14のいずれか1つに記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
  16.  前記曲げ部は、気流の下流に向かって気流を前記車両の車幅方向に狭める請求項9ないし14のいずれか1つに記載の車両用シート空調ユニット。
