Description
(構造体)
まず、本実施形態に係る検査装置に適用される構造体について説明する。構造体としては、例えば、図1に示すような巻回型構造の構造体10を用いることができる。構造体10は、図2に示すように、帯状のセパレータ16を介して帯状の正極12と負極14とを積層して積層体10aを形成し、この積層体10aを巻き取り芯を中心にして多数回巻回した後、巻き取り芯を除去して作製される。構造体10には、正極リード11aおよび負極リード11bが設けられている。正極リードの11a一端は正極12に接続され、負極リード11bの一端は負極14に接続されている。
本実施形態の構造体10の検査装置について説明する。図3において、20は全体として検査装置を示し、測定部30と処理部50とを含む。測定部30は、処理部50から送出された測定指示信号に基づき、正極12および負極14間の電気特性を測定し、測定信号を処理部50へ出力する。処理部50は、測定部30から出力された測定信号に基づき、構造体10の良否を判定する。
上記のように構成された検査装置20の動作および効果について説明する。一対の端子36a,36bに構造体10の正極12および負極14を、正極リード11aおよび負極リード11bを介して接続し、検査を開始する。まず測定部30は、処理部50から送出された測定指示信号に基づき、所定の検査用電圧を正極12および負極14間に印加する。検査用電圧が印加されると、正極12と負極14に電荷が溜り、電流が流れる。当該電流は、検査用電圧の印加直後から大きくなり、正極12と負極14に十分電荷が溜まると、徐々に小さくなり、一定になる。例えば、正極12と負極14との間に短絡や開放といった異常事象のない良品の構造体10の場合には、図4に示すように、電圧印加後、時間t=tpeakにおいてピーク電流値Ipeakが観測される。ピーク電流値Ipeakに達した後、電流値は減少し続け、微小な電流値が流れ続けたあと、やがてゼロになる。
本実施形態の検査装置20で検査される構造体10として、巻回型構造の例を挙げて説明したが、これに限定されない。セパレータ16を挟んで複数の正極12と複数の負極14とを交互に積層して構成された積層型構造の構造体を用いることもできる。

Claims (2)
- 一対の電極と前記一対の電極の間に配置されたセパレータとを含む構造体を検査する工程を含む蓄電装置の製造方法であって、
前記構造体を検査する工程では、
前記一対の電極の間に一定の検査用電圧を印加しつつ、前記検査用電圧の印加に伴う前記一対の電極の間の電流値を所定の間隔で測定し、
前記検査用電圧を印加した直後から前記電流値が一定になるまでに、時間変化量(Δt)に対する電流値変化量(ΔI)の比(ΔI/Δt)が0以上の値から負の値に変化する点が2点以上観測された場合、または前記比(ΔI/Δt)が0以上の値から負の値に変化する点が観測されない場合に、前記構造体を不良品と判定する工程と、
時間tの経過における電流値Iの変化を表す電流波形において、ピーク電流値Ipeak、ピーク電流発生時間tpeak、および電流面積SIを求め、前記ピーク電流値Ipeak、前記ピーク電流発生時間tpeak、および前記電流面積SIのいずれか1つが、上限値と下限値とを有する予め設定された閾値から外れた場合に、前記構造体を不良品と判定する付属工程と
を有することを特徴とする蓄電装置の製造方法。 - 一対の電極と前記一対の電極の間に配置されたセパレータとを含む構造体を検査する検査装置であって、
前記一対の電極の間に印加する一定の検査用電圧を発生する直流定電圧発生器、および前記検査用電圧の印加に伴う前記一対の電極の間の電流値を検出する検出回路を含む測定部と、
検出された前記電流値に基づき、前記構造体の良否を判定する処理部とを備え、
前記処理部は、
前記検査用電圧を印加した直後から前記電流値が一定になるまでに、時間変化量(Δt)に対する電流値変化量(ΔI)の比(ΔI/Δt)が0以上の値から負の値に変化する点が2点以上観測された場合、または前記比(ΔI/Δt)が0以上の値から負の値に変化する点が観測されない場合に、前記構造体を不良品と判定する機能と、
時間tの経過における電流値Iの変化を表す電流波形において、ピーク電流値Ipeak、ピーク電流発生時間tpeak、および電流面積SIを求め、前記ピーク電流値Ipeak、前記ピーク電流発生時間tpeak、および前記電流面積SIのいずれか1つが、上限値と下限値とを有する予め設定された閾値から外れた場合に、前記構造体を不良品と判定する付属機能と
を有することを特徴とする検査装置。
