Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a sewing machine having a needle bar release mechanism.
  • a sewing machine having a needle bar release mechanism capable of dividing transmission of driving force from a driving source to a needle bar is known.
  • the needle bar of the sewing machine described in Patent Document 1 is released from the connection with the drive source by the needle bar releasing mechanism.
  • the released needle bar moves upward by the spring force of the compression spring fitted around the needle bar.
  • the needle bar is brought into contact with the contact member and locked at the position of the top dead center in the range in which the needle bar can move up and down.
  • the needle bar even when the needle bar is connected to the drive source and reciprocates up and down, the needle bar contacts the contact member at the top dead center position.
  • the needle bar has a vertical movement speed of zero at the top dead center, there is a possibility that a slight noise or vibration may be generated by contacting the needle bar.
  • the contact member that contacts the needle bar when the needle bar is released from the connection with the drive source does not contact the needle bar when the needle bar is connected to the drive source and moved up and down. It is an object to provide a sewing machine to be used.
  • a sewing machine connects or blocks transmission of driving force between a needle bar that moves up and down when the driving force of a sewing machine motor is transmitted through the main shaft, and the needle bar and the main shaft.
  • the needle bar can be brought into contact with the needle bar when the needle bar is located at a top dead center in a range in which the needle bar can move up and down.
  • the contact position of the contact member and the contact member is a connection state in which transmission of driving force between the needle bar and the main shaft is connected by the needle bar release mechanism, and between the needle bar and the main shaft.
  • the needle bar In the shut-off state in which the transmission of the driving force is cut off, and in the shut-off transition state in which the connection state shifts to the shut-off state, the needle bar does not contact the needle bar even if it is located at the top dead center.
  • the needle bar In the state, when the needle bar is positioned at the top dead center, characterized by comprising a switching mechanism for switching between the abutting second position to the needle bar.
  • the switching mechanism can switch the arrangement position of the contact member to the first position in the connected state. Even if the driving force of the sewing machine motor is transmitted and the needle bar reciprocates up and down, the needle bar does not contact the contact member. Therefore, the sewing machine can prevent the generation of sound and vibration due to the contact between the needle bar and the contact member.
  • the switching mechanism can switch the arrangement position of the contact member to the second position in the connection transition state. Therefore, the sewing machine can reliably position the needle bar in the vertical direction by bringing the needle bar into contact with the contact member in the connection transition state.
