Definitions
- the present invention relates to a rivet, and more particularly to a rivet used for reinforcing a pocket opening of jeans.
- a reinforcement called “clamping with two parts of a rivet and a bar” is generally applied to the stop position of the jeans pocket mouth.
- a bar also serves as a decoration for jeans.
- the bar is a decorative button made of copper, brass, or the like, and has a central hollow dome-shaped protrusion and an annular plate-shaped outer peripheral portion extending radially outward from the base end of the protrusion.
- the rivet is a metal rod applied from the back side of the dough to fix the bar to the front side of the dough, and has a disc-shaped base and a shank protruding from the base.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and is to provide a rivet that can be effectively applied to stretchable fabrics and thin fabrics.
- the base includes an annular recess that is recessed around the base end of the shank on the opposite side to the protruding side of the shank, and a flange that is radially outward from the recess.
- the fabric is made up of the bar and the rivet in a state where the bar is attached to the fabric using the rivet. It is sandwiched between the base and enters the recess of the base. Furthermore, the dough is partially compressed against the bar at equal intervals in the circumferential direction by the raised portions. Therefore, even if it is elastic fabric or thin fabric, the fabric can be pressed firmly against the bar at each raised part, and even if the fabric around the rivet is pulled, the fabric can easily shift There is no.
- the bar is a decorative button that is attached for reinforcement or decoration at the stop position of the pocket mouth of jeans and is generally made of copper or brass, but is not limited thereto.
- the rivet is a rod for attaching the bar to the fabric, and is generally made of metal such as iron, copper, aluminum, nickel, titanium, zinc, or an alloy thereof, but may be made of resin.
- the raised portions are formed at equal intervals in the circumferential direction on the upper surface of the flange, and the tops of the raised portions are formed by curved surfaces. Since each ridge has a curved surface at the top, it does not damage the fabric.
- the recess includes a bottom surface, an outer inclined surface that extends from the bottom surface and is adjacent to the flange and that is inclined radially outward and upward.
- An inner inclined surface continuously extending from the outer inclined surface.
- the inclination angle of the inner inclined surface of the raised portion is different from the inclination angle of the outer inclined surface of the concave portion.
- the outer inclined surface of the concave portion has a shape undulating along the circumferential direction by the inner inclined surface of the raised portion. .
- the inner inclined surface of the raised portion protrudes from the outer inclined surface on the bottom surface side of the recess with respect to the upper surface of the flange. Thereby, the catch of cloth can be enlarged.
- the length along the circumferential direction of the said protruding part is longer than the length along the radial direction of the base of a rivet.
- the dough is formed by attaching the bar to the dough using the rivet. Is sandwiched between the base and the base, enters into the concave portion of the base, and is further pressed against the bar at equal intervals in the circumferential direction by the raised portions. Therefore, even if the fabric is stretchable or thin, the fabric does not easily shift even if the fabric around the rivet is pulled. Therefore, the rivet according to the present invention can be effectively applied to jeans made of stretchable fabric or thin fabric.

- the outer shape of each raised portion 20 has no corners or sharp points, and the top of the raised portion 20 is formed by a smooth curved surface. This point will be described in further detail below.
- FIG. 2 shows a cross section along the radial direction of the two raised portions 20 (20A), and also shows a side surface on the longitudinal side of the other two raised portions 20 (20B), that is, a contour along the circumferential direction.
- FIG. 1 shows a cross section along the radial direction of the two raised portions 20 (20A), and also shows a side surface on the longitudinal side of the other two raised portions 20 (20B), that is, a contour along the circumferential direction.
- the raised portion 20 includes an upper surface 23 connected by a smooth curved surface from all sides of all the raised portions 20.
- the raised portion 20 is formed such that the length along the circumferential direction of the base 11 is longer than the length along the radial direction of the base 11 of the rivet 10, and the upper surface 23 of the raised portion 20 is substantially horizontal in the circumferential direction.
- the raised portion 20 includes an inner inclined surface 21, which will be described in detail later, and an outer inclined surface 22 that is connected to the upper surface 23 smoothly from the flange outer peripheral side surface 14 b on the side opposite to the inner inclined surface 21. As can be seen from FIGS.
- each raised portion 20 is raised from the upper surface 15 of the flange 14 to the protruding side of the shank 12, and the raised portions 20 are arranged at equal intervals in the circumferential direction.
- the raised portion 20 includes the inner inclined surface 21 that faces the shank 12, and the inner inclined surface 21 is continuous from the outer inclined surface 13 c of the recess 13 on the bottom surface side of the upper surface 15 of the flange 14.
- the inner inclined surface 21 of the raised portion 20 is a surface that is longer in the vertical direction than the outer inclined surface 22 that is opposite to the inner inclined surface 21 of the raised portion 20, and the inclination angle of the inner inclined surface 21 is a concave portion.

- the inner inclined surface 21 of the raised portion 20 has an inclination angle slightly larger than the inclination angle of the outer inclined surface 13 c from a substantially middle point in the vertical direction of the outer inclined surface 13 c of the recess 13, for example, greater than 0. Extends upward at 3 degrees or less.
- the ratio of the total area along the upper surface 15 of all the protrusions 20 to the total area including the raised portion corresponding portion of the upper surface 15 of the flange 14 of the rivet 10 is preferably in the range of 8.5% to 24.5%. .
- the total proportion of the length along the length is preferably in the range of 11% to 24%. From these 1) and 2) and the actual design specifications of the rivet 10, the preferred number of raised portions is 3-6. In the present embodiment, the ratio of the total area along the upper surface 15 of all the protrusions 20 in the total area including the raised portion corresponding portion of the upper surface 15 of the flange 14 of the rivet 10 is about 24.5%. The ratio of the total length along the flange circumferential direction of all the raised portions 20 in the entire circumferential length including the raised portion corresponding portion of the flange 14 is about 24%.
- FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view showing a state in which the bar 30 is fixed to a stretchable fabric 1 including elastic fibers woven or knitted using, for example, elastic yarn using the rivet 10 described above. In this state, the shank 12 of the rivet 10 is plastically deformed as will be described later.
- the cloth 1 is a denim cloth formed by joining a surface material 1a and a lining material 1b.
- the bar 30 is a decorative button formed by drawing a brass plate, and includes a central hollow dome-shaped protruding portion 31 and a folded portion 32 slightly extending radially outward and upward from the base end 31a of the protruding portion 31.
- the protrusion 31 defines an internal space 31b that is closed upward and open downward.
- the diameter of the internal space 31b gradually expands downward from the upper closed end to become maximum, and then gradually decreases further downward.
- the outer diameter of the outer peripheral portion 33 is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the base 11 of the rivet 10.
- the shank 12 is crimped in the inner space 31b of the protrusion 31 of the bar 30.
- the shank head 12b is plastically deformed so as to substantially fill the inner space 31b of the protrusion 31 of the bar 30, and the shank body 12a is collapsed in the vertical direction in the radial direction. Expand. Since the diameter of the internal space 31 b of the protrusion 31 is slightly reduced downward, the plastically deformed shank head 12 b cannot be removed from the protrusion 31.
- the dough 1 is sandwiched between the base 11 of the rivet 10 and the outer peripheral portion 33 of the bar 30 and enters the concave portion 13 of the base 11. Furthermore, the dough 1 is partially compressed at intervals of 60 degrees in the circumferential direction with respect to the outer peripheral portion 33 of the bar 30 by the six raised portions 20 of the flange 14 of the rivet 10. Even if the fabric 1 around the rivet 10 is pulled in a direction away from the shank 12 (hereinafter referred to as “lateral direction”), the fabric 1 can be easily displaced by pressing the fabric 1 with the raised portion 20. There is nothing wrong.
- the inner inclined surface 21 of the raised portion 20 is slightly steeper than the outer inclined surface 13c of the concave portion 13, even if the fabric 1 is pulled in the lateral direction, the fabric 1 is caught at each raised portion 20. This point is also considered to contribute to the prevention of the displacement of the fabric 1.
- the inner inclined surface 21 and the outer inclined surface 13 c are wavy along the circumferential direction on the inner peripheral side surface of the flange 14, which also contributes to preventing the fabric 1 from shifting.
- the bottom surface 13b of the concave portion 13, that is, the deepest portion of the concave portion 13 is located on the flange 14 side rather than the shank 12 side, the fabric 1 is likely to contact the inner inclined surface 21. It is thought that it contributes to prevention.
- FIG. 5 is a top view of a rivet according to another embodiment of the present invention.
- the rivet 40 is the same as the rivet 10 described above except that the three raised portions 50 are provided at intervals of 120 degrees in the circumferential direction, and therefore the same reference numbers as those for the rivet 10 except for the reference numbers 40 and 50. The description is omitted.
- Each raised portion 50 has the same outer shape as the raised portion 20 described above, and thus the raised portion 50 also includes the inner inclined surface 21.
- the total ratio of the area along the upper surface 15 of all the protrusions 50 in the total area including the raised portion corresponding portion of the upper surface 15 of the flange 14 of the rivet 40 is about 8.5%.
- the ratio of the total length along the flange circumferential direction of all the raised portions 50 in the entire circumferential length including the portion corresponding to the raised portion of the flange 14 is about 11%.
- FIG. 6 is an enlarged view similar to FIG. 3 showing a raised portion 20a which is a modification of the raised portion 20 described above in the rivet 10.
- FIG. The inner inclined surface 21a of the raised portion 20a is the same as that in FIG. 3 except for the raised portion 13 (except for the raised portion 20a and the inner inclined surface 21a, and therefore the same reference numeral is applied. Hereinafter, the same applies to FIG. 7). It extends upward from a substantially middle point in the vertical direction of the inclined surface 13c at an inclination angle slightly smaller than the inclination angle of the outer inclined surface 13c, for example, 0 to 3 degrees.
- FIG. 7 is an enlarged view similar to FIG. 3 showing a raised portion 20 b which is a further modification of the raised portion 20 described above in the rivet 10.
- the inner inclined surface 21 b of the raised portion 20 b extends upward at the same inclination angle as the outer inclined surface 13 c of the recess 13.
