硫化水銀分離手段51の上澄みである第3液相を第1循環手段13で水銀酸化手段11の液槽部22に循環させる構成である図1に示す水銀分離システム10を用いて、ゼロ価水銀を含むガスを処理し、処理ガスを水銀酸化手段11のガス出口から排出すると共に、硫化水銀分離手段51から固体状の硫化水銀を回収した。被処理ガスとして、ガス温度50℃、ガス量500NL/hで酸素濃度5vol%、ゼロ価水銀濃度50μg/Nm3、水分12vol%、残りをN2ガスで調整した模擬排ガスを用いた。また、水銀吸着酸化材として、活性炭と成形助剤(ポリエチレン樹脂)を混合しハニカム形状に成型した吸着材0.01Lを、水銀酸化部21に充填し、噴霧器23から、水を液ガス比(噴霧器23から噴霧される液体と被処理ガスとの比)0.5(L/Nm3)の割合で水銀吸着酸化材に連続的に噴霧することにより、水銀吸着酸化材上で被処理ガスと噴霧器23から噴霧される液体が接触するようにした。なお、用いた活性炭の、比表面積測定装置(製品名「AUTOSORB-1」、ユアサアイオニクス(株)社製)を使用し液体窒素を用いて多点法によって測定されたBET比表面積は、780m2/gであった。また、pH調整剤として水酸化ナトリウムを用いてpH調整手段31において第2液相のpHが7になるようにした。また、アルカリ金属硫化物として硫化カリウムを用いた。
水の代わりにヨウ化ナトリウムを含有する水を噴霧器23から水銀吸着酸化材に噴霧した以外は、比較例1と同様の操作を行った。NaI濃度はヨウ素イオン濃度(図3において「I濃度」と記載する)として0.005wt%と0.01wt%の2条件を実施した。結果を図3に示す。
硫化水銀分離手段51の上澄みである第3液相を第1循環手段13で水銀酸化手段11の液槽部22に循環させる構成である図1に示す水銀分離システム10を用いて、ゼロ価水銀を含むガスを処理し、処理ガスを水銀酸化手段11のガス出口から排出すると共に、硫化水銀分離手段51から固体状の硫化水銀を回収した。被処理ガスとして、ガス温度50℃、ガス量200NL/hで酸素濃度5vol%、ゼロ価水銀濃度3000μg/Nm3、SO2濃度3000ppm、水分12vol%、残りをN2ガスで調整した模擬排ガスを用いた。また、水銀吸着酸化材として、活性炭と成形助剤(ポリエチレン樹脂)と撥水処理剤(ポリテトラフロロエチレン樹脂)を混合しハニカム形状に成型した吸着材0.5Lを、水銀酸化部21に充填し、噴霧器23から、水を液ガス比(噴霧器23から噴霧される液体と被処理ガスとの比)0.5(L/Nm3)の割合で水銀吸着酸化材に連続的に噴霧することにより、水銀吸着酸化材上で被処理ガスと噴霧器23から噴霧される液体が接触するようにした。なお、用いた活性炭の、比表面積測定装置(製品名「AUTOSORB-1」、ユアサアイオニクス(株)社製)を使用し液体窒素を用いて多点法によって測定されたBET比表面積は、780m2/gであった。また、pH調整剤として水酸化カリウムを用いてpH調整手段31において第2液相のpHが3になるようにした。また、アルカリ金属硫化物として硫化カリウムを用いた。
水の代わりにヨウ化カリウムを含有する水を噴霧器23から水銀吸着酸化材に噴霧した以外は、比較例2と同様の操作を行った。KI濃度はヨウ素イオン濃度(表1において「I濃度」と記載する)として30wt%以下の範囲で実施した。結果を表1に示す。
実施例2においてヨウ素イオン濃度を1wt%とし、pH調整手段31において第2液相のpH(水素イオン濃度)を変化させ、硫化水銀生成手段41で添加する硫化カリウム中のS量と硫化水銀分離手段51から回収した硫化水銀中に含まれるHg量のモル比(S/Hg比)が1.0になるようにした以外は、実施例2と同様の条件でゼロ価水銀を含むガスを処理し、処理ガスを水銀酸化手段11から排出すると共に、硫化水銀分離手段51から固体状の硫化水銀を回収した。pH調整手段31の第2液相の水素イオン濃度と第2液相からのHg回収率との関係を求めた結果を図4に示す。なお、Hg回収率(%)は、硫化水銀生成手段41へ入ってくる時間当たりのHg重量で、同じく時間当たりに硫化水銀分離手段51で回収された硫化水銀中に含まれる水銀の重量を除した値に100を乗じて求めた。
実施例2においてヨウ素イオン濃度を1wt%とし、硫化水銀生成手段41で添加する硫化カリウム量を変化させた以外は、実施例2と同様の条件でゼロ価水銀を含むガスを処理し、処理ガスを水銀酸化手段11から排出すると共に、硫化水銀分離手段51から固体状の硫化水銀を回収した。硫化水銀生成手段41で添加された硫化カリウム中のS量と硫化水銀分離手段51で回収された硫化水銀中に含まれるHg量とのモル比(図5において「硫化水銀分離手段でのS/Hg比」と記載する)と、添加された硫化カリウムの有効利用率(図5において「添加S分の有効利用率」と記載する)との関係を図5に示す。また、硫化水銀生成手段41で添加された硫化カリウム中のS量と硫化水銀分離手段51で回収された硫化水銀中に含まれるHg量とのモル比(S/Hg比)と、そのモル比S/Hg=1.0として運転した際の水銀酸化手段11でのゼロ価水銀の吸収速度を基準(1.0)とし、S/Hgのモル比(S/Hg比)を変化させた時の水銀酸化手段11でのゼロ価水銀の吸収速度との比(図5において「Hg吸収速度比」と記載する)との関係も図5に示す。

Claims (21)
- ゼロ価水銀を含むガスに含まれるゼロ価水銀を、アルカリ金属ヨウ化物を含む第1液相を用いて酸化して前記第1液相中に取り込むことにより2価水銀イオン及びヨウ化物イオンを含む第2液相を得る水銀酸化工程と、
前記水銀酸化工程で得られた前記第2液相のpHを、pH調整剤を用いて調整すると共に、アルカリ金属硫化物を添加することにより、前記2価水銀イオンを硫化水銀として分離する水銀分離工程と、
前記水銀分離工程で硫化水銀が分離されて得られたアルカリ金属イオン及びヨウ化物イオンを含む第3液相を循環させて前記水銀酸化工程の前記第1液相として用いる第1循環工程と、
を有することを特徴とするゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。 - 前記水銀酸化工程で用いるアルカリ金属ヨウ化物のアルカリ金属と、前記水銀分離工程で用いる前記アルカリ金属硫化物のアルカリ金属が、同じアルカリ金属であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- 前記水銀酸化工程において、炭素系材料からなる水銀吸着酸化材上で前記ゼロ価水銀を含むガスと前記第1液相とを接触させることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- 前記炭素系材料が撥水処理されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- 前記ゼロ価水銀を含むガスが硫黄酸化物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- 前記ゼロ価水銀を含むガスが酸素を含むことを特徴とする請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- 前記水銀酸化工程は、前記第2液相を捕集し該捕集された前記第2液相を循環させて前記第1液相として用いる第2循環工程を有することを特徴とする請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- 前記アルカリ金属ヨウ化物が、ヨウ化カリウム、ヨウ化リチウム及びヨウ化ナトリウムから選択される少なくとも一種であり、前記第1液相中のヨウ素イオン濃度が0.01~10wt%であることを特徴とする請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- 前記水銀分離工程において、前記pH調整剤が、水酸化リチウム、水酸化ナトリウム、水酸化カリウム、炭酸水素リチウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム、炭酸水素カリウム、炭酸リチウム、炭酸ナトリウム及び炭酸カリウムから選択される少なくとも一種であり、前記第2液相のpHを1.7~7に調整することを特徴とする請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- 前記水銀分離工程において、前記アルカリ金属硫化物が、硫化リチウム、硫化ナトリウム及び硫化カリウムから選択される少なくとも一種であり、前記アルカリ金属硫化物に含まれる硫黄量は、該アルカリ金属硫化物を添加する前記第2液相に含まれる2価水銀に対して、モル比で、0.6~1.2倍であることを特徴とする請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- 前記水銀分離工程において、前記アルカリ金属硫化物が添加される前記第2液相の酸化還元電位に基づいて、前記アルカリ金属硫化物の添加を制御することを特徴とする請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- 前記水銀酸化工程で生成したヨウ素ガスにアルカリ金属水酸化物を接触させてヨウ素ガスを吸収するヨウ素ガス回収工程を有することを特徴とする請求項1~11のいずれか一項に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- 前記ヨウ素ガス回収工程で得られたヨウ素ガスが吸収された溶液を前記水銀分離工程に循環することを特徴とする請求項12に記載するゼロ価水銀を含むガスの処理方法。
- ゼロ価水銀を含むガスが導入されると共に、前記ゼロ価水銀を、アルカリ金属ヨウ化物を含む第1液相を用いて酸化して前記第1液相中に取り込むことにより2価水銀イオン及びヨウ化物イオンを含む第2液相を得る水銀酸化手段と、
前記水銀酸化手段から排出された前記第2液相のpHを、pH調整剤を用いて調整すると共に、アルカリ金属硫化物を添加することにより、前記2価水銀イオンを硫化水銀として分離する水銀分離手段と、
前記水銀分離手段で硫化水銀が分離されて得られたアルカリ金属イオン及びヨウ化物イオンを含む第3液相を循環させて前記水銀酸化手段の前記第1液相として用いる第1循環手段とを有することを特徴とする水銀分離システム。 - 前記水銀酸化手段は、前記ゼロ価水銀を第1液相を用いて酸化して前記第1液相中にとり込む水銀酸化部と、該水銀酸化部と連通し前記第2液相を収容する液槽部を有し、

- 前記液槽部にアルカリ金属ヨウ化物を添加するアルカリ金属ヨウ化物添加手段を有することを特徴とする請求項15又は16に記載する水銀分離システム。
- 前記水銀分離手段は、前記アルカリ金属硫化物が添加される前記第2液相の酸化還元電位を測定する酸化還元電位測定手段と、該酸化還元電位測定手段で測定された酸化還元電位に基づいて前記アルカリ金属硫化物の添加を制御する添加制御手段を有することを特徴とする請求項14~17のいずれか一項に記載する水銀分離システム。
- 前記水銀酸化手段で生成したヨウ素ガスにアルカリ金属水酸化物を接触させてヨウ素ガスを吸収するヨウ素ガス回収手段を有することを特徴とする請求項14~18のいずれか一項に記載する水銀分離システム。
