図1に示すように、実施の形態1に係る車両映像伝送システムは、複数のAV機器から構成されている。図示例では、直列に多段接続されたAV機器1、AV機器2、AV機器3の3台から構成されている。車両映像伝送システムを自動車に搭載する場合、例えばAV機器1をダッシュボードの運転席側、AV機器2を左側の後部座席前、AV機器3を右側の後部座席前に設置する。なお、車両の対象は自動車に限定されるものではなく、鉄道、船舶、航空機等を含む。
なお、図示例では、映像/音声データと制御データとを同時に伝送可能なケーブル21を使用して、AV機器1と携帯情報端末11とを接続している。同様に、ケーブル22を使用してAV機器2と携帯情報端末12とを接続し、ケーブル23を使用してAV機器3と携帯情報端末13とを接続している。
AV機器1~3のそれぞれは、携帯情報端末11~13から入力された映像/音声データを決められたフォーマット(例えば、映像データはRGB888など)に変換し、変換したデータを所定の通信フレームフォーマット(通信信号)に重畳して、上記通信インタフェースを介して伝送する。通信フレームフォーマットの詳細は図2で後述するが、1映像フレーム期間内に1通信フレーム伝送できるような高速シリアル通信を想定したデータ構造とする。これにより、各AV機器1~3は、自装置に接続された携帯情報端末の映像/音声データのみならず、他のAV機器に接続された携帯情報端末の映像/音声データも殆ど遅延なくリアルタイムで再生可能となる。
このAV機器2は、AV制御装置100と、表示器150と、スピーカ151(またはヘッドホン)と、操作デバイス160とから構成される。また、このAV機器2には、映像/音声データのソース源である携帯情報端末12が、ケーブル22により有線接続される。さらに、AV機器2には、ケーブル31を介してAV機器1が、ケーブル32を介してAV機器3がそれぞれ有線接続されている。

前記自AV機器に有線接続されている前記携帯情報端末の非圧縮映像データを他の前記AV機器に表示させるか否かを制御する設定情報を、前記通信信号に重畳させて他の前記AV機器へ送信させると共に、他の前記AV機器から受信した前記通信信号に重畳されていた前記設定情報に基づいて他の前記AV機器に有線接続されている前記携帯情報端末の非圧縮映像データを前記自AV機器で表示する否かを制御する表示可否制御部を備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両映像伝送システム。 - 前記AV機器のそれぞれは、
前記携帯情報端末を特定する識別情報と優先度との対応関係を示す情報を記憶し、前記自AV機器に有線接続されている前記携帯情報端末の識別情報を認識して対応する優先度を判定すると共に、他の前記AV機器から受信した前記通信信号に重畳されていた識別情報に基づいて当該他のAV機器に有線接続されている前記携帯情報端末の優先度を判定するID識別部を備え、
前記表示可否制御部は、前記ID識別部の判定結果に基づいて、前記自AV機器に有線接続されている前記携帯情報端末の優先度より他の前記AV機器に有線接続されている前記携帯情報端末の優先度が高い場合に当該他のAV機器の前記設定情報を優先することを特徴とする請求項4記載の車両映像伝送システム。
