- variants of the invention comprising only a selection of characteristics described subsequently isolated from the others. characteristics described (even if this selection is isolated within a sentence comprising these other characteristics), if this selection of characteristics is sufficient to confer a technical advantage or to differentiate the invention from the state of the prior art.
- This selection comprises at least one feature preferably functional without structural details, or with only a part of the structural details if this part alone is sufficient to confer a technical advantage or to differentiate the invention from the state of the prior art.
- a first device embodiment according to the invention 101 of fluid distribution, and the dispensing valve 5 according to the invention which is associated with this device 101 will now be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 2.
- the device 101 for dispensing a fluid comprises a reservoir 2 arranged to contain the fluid.
- This fluid may consist of either a liquid or a mixture of liquid and gas (for example a foam) or a gel.
- the fluid in the device 101 preferably comprises a liquid.
- the reservoir 2 comprises a deformable reservoir, such as a flexible reservoir on which one can manually exert a pressure to expel the fluid outside the device.
- this tank 2 could equally well be a tube or the conduit of a piston.
- the device 101 comprises a distribution duct 8 (made in a hard plastic part) extending longitudinally along a distribution direction 10 and arranged to conduct the fluid in the dispensing direction 10.
- the device 101 comprises a dispensing orifice 105 connecting the reservoir 2 to the distribution duct 8.
- the device 101 comprises a dispensing valve 5 which comprises a dispensing diaphragm 9.
- the dispensing valve 5 in an open state, allows a passage of fluid from the interior of the tank 2 to the dispensing conduit 8 through the orifice 105, and in a closed state, does not allow a fluid passage from the interior of the tank 2 to the distribution duct 8 (by plating the distribution membrane 9 against the dispensing orifice 105 so as to plug the dispensing orifice).
- the dispensing valve 5 further comprises a connecting element 11.
- the dispensing membrane 9 comprises a free end 19 with respect to the joining element 11. This free end 19 is arranged to move to make the dispensing valve 5 pass between its open and closed states.
- the distribution membrane 9 also comprises a joining portion 20 integral with the joining element 11 and which does not move between the open and closed states of the dispensing valve 5.
- the distribution membrane 9 is the distribution membrane 9:
- the opening position differing from the closed position by a deflection of the free end 19 of the membrane 9 along a deflection direction 120 (perpendicular to the dispensing direction 10) while its other end 20 is maintained by the connecting element 11.
- the device 101 comprises a return means 29 arranged to exert a force on the dispensing valve 5 (more exactly on the dispensing membrane 9), this force bringing the dispensing valve 5 from its open state to its closed state (more exactly bringing the dispensing membrane 9 from its open position to its closed position).
- the return means 29 is in contact and secured to the membrane 9. More exactly, in the case illustrated in Figure 1, the return means is part of the dispensing valve 5.
- the return means 29 comprises a pocket 106 forming a recess 107, said pocket 106 being located in the distribution duct 8, the pocket 106 being deformed by compression against a wall 109 of the dispensing duct when the valve distribution 5 is in the open state.
- the membrane 9 and the pocket 106 are aligned along the direction of deflection 120.
- the return means 29 is arranged to exert the force on the membrane 9 during a deformation of the pocket 106 by a compression of the pocket 106 along the direction of deflection 120 when the dispensing valve 5 is in the state open.
- the sealing of the dispensing valve 5 is improved with respect to the state of the art.
- the return means 29 in the pocket 106 is, in the open state (and also preferably in the closed state) of the dispensing valve 5, resting on a wide area of a wall 109 of the distribution duct (this wide area being the contact zone between the bottom 113 and the wall 109 ), which makes it possible to exert a more homogeneous restoring force than the state of the art on the periphery 116 of the dispensing orifice 105.
- pocket-shaped return means 29 Another important advantage of the pocket-shaped return means 29 is its stability when it is inserted into the dispensing duct 8. On the contrary, a return means according to the state of the art in the form of a concave tongue risks to turn and become convex in the interior of the distribution duct during the insertion of the dispensing valve in the distribution duct for its assembly.
- the distribution membrane 9 is located between the dispensing orifice 105 and the hollow 107 of the pocket 106.
- the pocket 106 is a pocket open on one side by an opening delimited by an outer edge 112 of the hollow 107.
- the hollow 107 is of smaller volume in the open state of the dispensing valve 5 than in the closed state This volume is defined as the volume of the depression 107 inside the pocket 106 to a plane 122 in which is located the outer edge 112 of the opening.
- the pocket 106 is a pocket open in a single plane through the opening defined by the outer edge 112 (outer edge which is contained in the same plane).
- the outer rim 112 as illustrated, has a closed loop shape.
- the dispensing valve 5 is held in the device by clamping between internal walls of the distribution duct 8. More exactly, the joining element 11 is clamped by internal walls of the distribution duct 8 and between internal walls of the distribution duct 8.
- a bottom 113 of the pocket 106 rests against a second inner wall 109 of the distribution duct (preferably opposite the first inner wall 108 relative to the inside of the distribution duct 8).
- the outer rim 112 of the recess 107 deviates from the first inner wall 108 of the dispensing duct.
- the first inner wall 108 includes the periphery 116 of the dispensing orifice so that:
- the outer edge 112 (hatched portion in Figure 12) of the recess 107 is in contact with the entire periphery 116 of the dispensing orifice 105 and surrounds all the periphery 116 of the dispensing orifice 105 hermetically, without allowing fluid passage between the reservoir 2 and the distribution duct
- the bottom 113 of the pocket 106 rests against the second inner wall 109 of the distribution duct or of an element situated along the second inner wall 109, and
- the bag 106 When the dispensing valve 5 is in the open state, the bag 106 is deformed by compression (additional with respect to a possible compression already experienced by the bag 106 when the dispensing valve 5 is in the closed state) perpendicular to distribution direction 10.
- the device 101 furthermore comprises:
- a main reservoir 17 of the fluid typically inside a flexible plastic film envelope, a supply duct 6, directly connected to the tank 17 and arranged to conduct the fluid coming from the tank 17,
- a supply valve 4 which, in an open state, allows a
- the supply valve 4 and the dispensing valve 5 are connected by the joining element 11.
- the two supply and distribution valves 4 and the joining element 11 are integral and in a single piece 12. This unique 12 piece is monobloc.
- the joining element 11 typically has a hardness of 70-80 Shore A.
- the supply valve 4 comprises a supply membrane 7.
- the supply membrane 7 comprises a free end 21 with respect to the connecting element 11. This free end 21 is arranged to move to move the valve 4 of the feed-through membrane 7 also comprises a joining portion 22 with the joining element 11. This joining portion 22 is located in the feed duct. feeding 6.
- the device 101 also comprises an opening 125.
- the opening 125 is located between the supply and supply ducts 8 and 6.
- the opening 125 (allowing the passage of the supply membrane 7 during the assembly of the valves 4 and 5 in the device 101 by insertion in the conduit 8) is plugged by the connecting element 11.
- the supply valve 4 (more exactly its free end 21) is pressed against the bottom wall 14 inside the tank 2 and is thus kept in its closed state, and
- the dispensing valve 5 (more exactly its free end 19) deviates from a wall 108 of the distribution duct 8 and is thus kept in its open state;
- the supply valve 4 (more exactly its free end 21) deviates from the bottom wall 14 inside the tank 2 and is thus kept in its open state, and
- the dispensing valve 5 (more exactly its free end 19) is pressed against an inner wall 108 of the distribution duct 8 and is thus kept in its closed state
- the dispensing valve 5 is in the closed state when a pressure variation on the tank 2 is negative or zero.
- the pocket 106 is already slightly compressed when the valve 5 is in its closed state. This ensures a good seal. By cons, to distribute fluid, the force exerted by a user on the lid 15 must be greater than the force exerted by the pocket 106 because of this slight compression.
- a second device embodiment 102 according to the invention will now be described with reference to FIGS. 3 to 5 only for its differences with respect to the first embodiment 101.
- the return means 29 comprises the pocket 106 forming the recess 107, said pocket 106 being located in the distribution duct 8, the pocket 106 being deformed by compression against a wall 108 of the dispensing duct when the dispensing valve 5 is in the open state.
- the second inner wall 109 includes the periphery 116 of the dispensing orifice 105 so that:
- the outer edge 112 of the recess 107 is in contact with the first inner wall 108 or one element (for example a stiffening element 119 forming part of the dispensing valve 5 and described later) located along the first inner wall 108,
- the bottom 113 of the pocket 106 deviates from the dispensing orifice 105.
- the pocket-like return means 29 is, in the open state ( and in the closed state) of the dispensing valve 5, resting on a large zone of a wall 108 of the distribution duct (this wide zone being the contact zone between the edge 112 and the wall 108), which allows a more homogeneous restoring force to be applied all around the periphery 116 of the dispensing orifice 105.
- a third device embodiment 103 according to the invention will now be described with reference to FIGS. 6 to 9 only for its differences with respect to the second embodiment 102.
- the dispensing valve 5 is offset with respect to the dispensing orifice 105.
- the second inner wall 109 is provided with a convex hump 114 (extending longitudinally along the dispensing direction 10) and the bottom 113 of the pocket 106 is provided with a concave cavity 115 (extending longitudinally along of the dispensing direction 10) of complementary shape to the convex bump 114 so that in the closed state, the concave cavity matches the shape of the convex bump.
- the bottom 113 of the pocket 106 deviates from the second inner wall 109 of the distribution conduit, and the concave cavity 115 guides the fluid out of the device 103 centrally.
- this bump 114 and this cavity 115 can be combined with any other embodiment of the invention described (in the case of the device 101, the first inner wall 108 will be provided with the convex bump 114 and the edge 112 of the hollow will be provided with the concave cavity 115, in the case of the device 104, the first inner wall 110 will be provided with the convex boss 114 and the first side 117 of the loop will be provided with the concave cavity 115).
- the edge 112 is equipped with a seal in contact with the inner wall 108.
- the advantage of this seal is to completely close the pocket 106 hermetically, without any fluid passage or any hole between the hollow 107 and the outside of the pocket 106. This is particularly advantageous because it limits the variations in stiffness of the "spring" formed by the pocket 106 as a function of temperature.
- the pocket 106 is secured to a stiffening element 119 which is stiffer than any part of the pocket 106 and extends (preferably over the entire length (defined along the distribution direction 10) of the pocket 106
- This stiffening element 119 may be combined with any other embodiment of dispensing valve 5 or device 101, 102, 103, 104 of the invention described, and allows to facilitate the insertion of the dispensing valve 5 inside the distribution duct 8 when it is mounted in a device according to the invention.
- a fourth device embodiment 104 of the invention will now be described with reference to FIGS. 10 and 11 only for its differences with respect to the first embodiment 101.
- the pocket 106 forms in a plane (the plane of FIG. 11, parallel to the direction of distribution 10 and elongation of the conduit 8) a closed loop inside which the hollow is delimited. 107 so that:
- a second side 118 of the loop rests against a second inner wall 111 of the distribution duct (preferably opposite the first inner wall relative to the inside of the distribution duct 8) or an element (for example a stiffening element 119 forming part of the dispensing valve 5 and described above) along the second inner wall 111, and
- the first side 117 of the loop deviates from the first inner wall 110 of the distribution duct.
- the first inner wall 110 includes the periphery 116 of the dispensing orifice 105 so that:
- the device 104 does not include a supply valve 4.
- the dispensing valve 5 can be equipped with a hole for passing a tool through the dispensing duct 8 and pass this tool between the valve 5 and an inner wall of the distribution duct 8 (to push the joining element 11) to facilitate the installation of the valve 5 in the duct 8.
- the pocket 106 of the device 104 may be:
- the pocket 106 is a fully closed pocket without any fluid passage or any hole between the recess 107 and the outside of the pocket 106. This is particularly advantageous because it limits the variations in stiffness of the "spring" formed by the pocket 106 depending on the temperature. Indeed, when the temperature increases, the rigidity of a plastic or an elastomer of the pocket
- the pocket 106 of the dispensing valve 5 of each device 101, 102, 103 could be completely closed, ie without an opening delimited by the border 112.
- the dispensing valve 5 of the device 104 could alternatively be shifted with respect to the dispensing orifice 105.
- each dispensing valve 5 of the device 104 can also be adapted to be integral with a supply valve 4 as previously described with reference to the previous embodiments.
- each dispensing valve 5 of the different device embodiments 101, 102, 103, 104 may comprise, in its recess 107, a folded blade 123 which will give an additional spring effect.
- This folded blade 123 is preferably metallic.
- This folded blade 123 is preferably bent U-shaped.
- each dispensing valve 5 of the different device embodiments 101, 102, 103, 104 can be arranged in the device so as to be flush with the outlet of the distribution duct 8 towards the outside of the device according to the invention. as shown in FIGS. 6 and 11. In this way, areas comprising fluid that dries between two fluid distributions are avoided.
- the dispensing valve is, in its closed state, kept pressed against a part (called dispensing seat) of an internal wall of the dispensing duct 8. More precisely, the dispensing valve comprises a membrane 9 or 117 (preferably flat) which, in the closed state of the dispensing valve, is kept pressed against a part (called dispensing seat) of an inner wall of the dispensing duct 8 It should further be noted that the dispensing seat is a lateral part of the dispensing duct 8, that is to say that this seat is limited to one face, preferably plane, of the dispensing duct 8, and does not all around a section of the distribution duct 8 which would be made in a plane perpendicular to the direction of distribution 10 or elongation of the duct 8.
- the dispensing valve is, in its open state, deformed by compression (and not by traction) perpendicularly to the direction of distribution 10 and elongation of the duct 8 by in its closed state, so as to press the dispensing valve on a side wall of the duct 8.
- the dispensing valve (more exactly the membrane 9) is, in its open state, deformed by compression (and not by traction) parallel to the direction 3 by compared to its closed state.
- the width of the pocket (maximum dimension of the pocket measured outside the hollow and measured perpendicular to the planes of FIGS. 1, 3, 6, and 11 ie perpendicularly to the direction of distribution 10 and of elongation of the duct 8 and perpendicular to the direction 120)
- the pocket is thin and flexible.
- the bag is arranged for, in the open state of the dispensing valve, not to open fully.
- the pocket is there to press a flexible membrane (typically 9 or 117):
- the pocket (more exactly the membrane 9 or 117) is pressed against an upper wall of the distribution duct 8 along two lines extending along the direction of distribution 10 and elongation of the conduit 8, so that when the membrane 9 or 117 opens (in the open state of the dispensing valve), the membrane 9 or 117 opens between these two support lines taking a convex shape but keeping these two support lines of the membrane 9 or 117 against the upper wall of the distribution duct 8.
- the membranes 9, 117 have a hardness of the order of 70-85 SHORE A, preferably less than 95 SHORE A.
- a low pressure of the user allows a small deformation of the pocket / membrane and thus to precisely control the product outlet; we can distribute a drop or less.
- the membrane 9 can be reduced only in the bottom 113 or the edge 112 which can be very thin.
- the section of the distribution duct 8 is not necessarily rectangular.
- the supply valves 4 and distribution 5 can be spaced apart and not integral without departing from the scope of the invention, the dispensing valve 5 can be secured to the joining element 11 as described above, without this connecting element 11 necessarily being integral with the supply valve 4.
- the supply valve 4 can then be fixed by any other means, for example fixed by clipping
- the feed valve 4 may also be omitted.
- the device according to the invention may comprise several dispensing and / or supply valves (for example for dispensing several fluids).
