Definitions
- the present invention relates to a deformation detection sensor for a sealed secondary battery, and more specifically, a deformation detection sensor for a sealed secondary battery, a deformation detection sensor system for a sealed secondary battery, and the deformation detection sensor for the sealed secondary battery.
- a battery module including the deformation detection sensor for the sealed secondary battery, a battery pack including the deformation detection sensor for the sealed secondary battery, a method for manufacturing the battery module, a method for detecting swelling of the cell The present invention relates to a swelling detection method for the battery module and a swelling detection method for the battery pack.
- non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries such as lithium ion secondary batteries and water electrolyte secondary batteries such as nickel-hydrogen batteries as well as protective circuits, metal cans and laminates Sealed secondary batteries sealed in battery containers such as films are widely used.
- the protection circuit has a function of monitoring the voltage of the battery and cutting off the charging current or discharging current when overcharging or overdischarging occurs.
- non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries use flammable organic electrolytes, they generate heat when overcharged or short-circuited, and the internal pressure of the battery rises due to the electrolyte, electrode decomposition gas, or electrolyte vaporization gas. This will cause the battery to swell, and in the worst case, the battery may burst. Further, even in a water electrolyte secondary battery, the battery may swell due to the structural change of the electrode active material accompanying charge / discharge or the generation of decomposition gas of the electrolyte or electrode.
- Patent Document 1 discloses a method of forming a sensor insertion space for attaching a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of a single cell in an arbitrary position in the battery module in a battery module having a plurality of single cells.
- a secondary battery including a positive electrode and a negative electrode, a container that can be charged and discharged, and a safety element that is bonded to the surface of the container and has a resistance value that changes according to the swelling of the container.
- a battery is disclosed. It is described that a strain gauge is used as the safety element, and the strain gauge is adhered to the surface of the container using an adhesive, a double-sided adhesive tape or a double-sided adhesive film.
- Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2 have a problem that the degree of freedom in designing the structure of the sealed secondary battery is low because it is necessary to secure a place where the temperature sensor or the strain gauge is attached.
- the strain gauge can be attached only to a flat portion, it is difficult to attach the strain gauge to a non-planar portion such as a corner portion or a curved portion, and the applicable sealed secondary battery can be applied.
- the structure is further limited. Therefore, there is a need for a sealed secondary battery that can detect battery swelling without reducing the degree of freedom in designing the structure of the sealed secondary battery.
- the present invention provides a deformation detection sensor for a sealed secondary battery and a sealed secondary battery capable of detecting battery swelling without reducing the degree of freedom in designing the structure of the sealed secondary battery.
- a deformation detection sensor system a cell including the deformation detection sensor for the sealed secondary battery, a battery module including the deformation detection sensor for the sealed secondary battery, a battery pack including the deformation detection sensor for the sealed secondary battery,

- a deformation detection sensor for a sealed secondary battery of the present invention is a deformation detection sensor for a sealed secondary battery used for a unit cell, a battery module or a battery pack of a sealed secondary battery, It is a resin layer whose physical properties change with deformation of the part to be measured, and includes at least the resin layer having an elastic modulus of 0.01 to 10 MPa.
- a deformation detection sensor system for a sealed secondary battery includes the above deformation detection sensor and a detection unit that detects a change in physical properties of the resin layer.
- the unit cell of the present invention is a unit cell of a sealed secondary battery in which a battery body including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator is housed in an outer container, and the deformation detection sensor for the sealed secondary battery described above. On the outer surface.
- the battery module of the present invention is a battery module formed by electrically connecting a plurality of cells of a sealed secondary battery in which a battery body including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator is housed in an outer container,
- the deformation detection sensor for a sealed secondary battery is provided on the outer surface of at least one unit cell, or the inner surface or the outer surface of the outer casing of the battery module.
- the battery pack of the present invention is characterized in that a plurality of the battery modules are electrically connected.
- the battery module of the present invention described above can be manufactured, for example, by the following method. - the amount of the functional filler in the filler-containing resin is, for example, 1 to 450 parts by weight, preferably 2 to 400 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin component in the case of a magnetic filler. - the degree of uneven distribution of the magnetic filler is 1 to 90, preferably 2 to 90, more preferably 3 to 80.
- the degree of uneven distribution is 1 or more, the swelling detection sensitivity of the magnetic resin battery can be increased.
- the degree of uneven distribution is less than 1, the amount of magnetic filler on the unit cell side is small, and minute swelling of the unit cell may not be detected.

In addition, Examples 1 to 10 showed superior sensor characteristics as compared with Comparative Examples 1 and 2.
- the present invention it is possible to further improve the safety of the sealed secondary battery without reducing the degree of freedom in designing the structure of the sealed secondary battery.

ネオジム系フィラー:MF-15P(平均粒径133μm)(愛知製鋼社製)
