Abstract

　ユーザー同士のコミュニケーションを活性化できるサーバ、プログラム及び方法を提供する。本発明の一実施形態に係るサーバは、所定のプログラムを１又は複数のコンピュータプロセッサに実行させることにより、複数のユーザの各々のクライアント端末に対してコンテンツを配信する。本発明の一実施形態において、前記所定のプログラムは、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求を含む合同リクエストを受け付ける受付モジュールと、前記合同リクエストに基づいて、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが、所定の条件を満たすか否かを判定する判定モジュールと、前記判定モジュールの判定結果に応じて定められる一又は複数の表示アイテムを、前記コンテンツとともに前記クライアント端末に表示させる表示制御モジュールと、を備える。

コンテンツを配信するサーバ、プログラム及び方法
相互参照
　本出願は、日本国特許出願２０１３－２５８０２９（２０１３年１２月１３日出願）に基づく優先権を主張し、その内容は参照により全体として本明細書に組み込まれる。
　本明細書における開示は、複数のクライアント端末に対してコンテンツを配信するサーバ、プログラム及び方法に関し、より具体的には、ユーザからの表示要求に応じたアイテムをコンテンツとともにクライアント端末に表示させるサーバ、プログラム及び方法に関する。
　ネットワークを介してクライアント端末に動画等のコンテンツを配信するサーバが知られている。この種のサーバには、コンテンツを視聴するユーザのアバタを表示したり、ユーザ同士がメッセージを投稿することができるコミュニケーション空間を提供するものがある。
　このようなコミュニケーション空間を提供するプラットフォームが、特開２０１２－１２００９８号公報（特許文献１）に開示されている。特許文献１のサーバは、ユーザ同士でメッセージを交換する機能に加え、ユーザが購入したアイテムを動画等のコンテンツとともに表示する機能を提供しており、かかる機能により、動画内のパフォーマーへプレゼントを提供する行為を電子的に実現している。

　しかしながら、特許文献１のサーバにおけるユーザ同士のコミュニケーションは、コメントやメッセージの交換に限られている。コンテンツ配信サービスにおいては、ユーザ同士のコミュニケーションを活発にすることがサービスのエンターテインメント性を向上させるための重要な要素であるから、ユーザ同士のコミュニケーションをより活発にするための機能の実現が望まれる。
　本発明の目的の１つは、ユーザー同士のコミュニケーションを活性化できるサーバ、プログラム及び方法を提供することである。本発明の別の目的は、本明細書全体を参照することにより明らかとなる。
　本発明の一実施形態に係るサーバは、所定のプログラムを１又は複数のコンピュータプロセッサに実行させることにより、複数のユーザの各々のクライアント端末に対してコンテンツを配信する。本発明の一実施形態に係る所定のプログラムは、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求を含む合同リクエストを受け付ける受付モジュールと、前記合同リクエストに基づいて、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが、所定の条件を満たすか否かを判定する判定モジュールと、前記判定モジュールの判定結果に応じて定められる一又は複数の表示アイテムを、前記コンテンツとともに前記クライアント端末に表示させる表示制御モジュールと、を備える。この説明から明らかなように、本発明の一実施形態に係るサーバは、これらの及び以下に説明するモジュールを一又は複数のプロセッサに実行させることにより、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求を含む合同リクエストを受け付ける受付ユニット、前記合同リクエストに基づいて、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが、所定の条件を満たすか否かを判定する判定ユニット、前記判定モジュールの判定結果に応じて定められる一又は複数の表示アイテムを、前記コンテンツとともに前記クライアント端末に表示させる表示制御ユニット、及びこれら以外の本明細書で説明されている処理を行うユニットとして機能することができる。
　当該実施形態によれば、前記複数のユーザの各々からの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが所定の条件に合致するか否かが判定され、その判定結果に応じて、コンテンツとともにクライアント端末に表示される表示アイテムが定められる。したがって、前記各ユーザからのアイテムの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせ次第で、表示要求により特定されるアイテムとは異なる表示アイテムがクライアント端末に表示される。この所定の条件を満たすようにするために、各ユーザは、他のユーザとコミュニケーションをとって、互いの表示要求の内容を調整するように動機付けられる。このように、当該実施形態によれば、ユーザ同士のコミュニケーションを促進することができる。
　本発明の一実施形態に係るプログラムは、複数のユーザの各々のクライアント端末に対してコンテンツを配信するサーバの１又は複数のコンピュータプロセッサに実行される。本発明の一実施形態におけるプログラムは、コンピュータを、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求を含む合同リクエストを受け付ける受付手段、前記合同リクエストに基づいて、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが、所定の条件を満たすか否かを判定する判定手段、及び、前記判定モジュールの判定結果に応じて定められる一又は複数の表示アイテムを、前記コンテンツとともに前記クライアント端末に表示させる表示制御手段、として機能させる。
　本発明の一実施形態に係る方法は、複数のユーザの各々のクライアント端末に対してコンテンツを配信する方法である。本発明の一実施形態における方法は、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求を含む合同リクエストを受け付ける工程と、前記合同リクエストに基づいて、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが、所定の条件を満たすか否かを判定する工程と、前記判定モジュールの判定結果に応じて定められる一又は複数の表示アイテムを、前記コンテンツとともに前記クライアント端末に表示させる工程と、を備える。
　本発明の様々な実施形態によって、ユーザー同士のコミュニケーションを活性化できるサーバ、プログラム及び方法が提供される。

　以下、適宜図面を参照し、本発明の様々な実施形態を説明する。なお、図面において共通する構成要素には同一の参照符号が付されている。
　図１は、本発明の一実施形態に係るサーバ装置（サーバ）１０を含むシステムのネットワーク構成を概略的に示すブロック図である。図１に示すように、本発明の一実施形態に係るサーバ１０は、クライアント端末３０とインターネット等のネットワーク２０を介して通信可能に接続されている。このサーバ１０は、例えば、投稿されたライブビデオ等のコンテンツをクライアント端末３０に配信することで、コンテンツ共有サービス（特にライブ動画共有サービス）を提供することができる。このコンテンツ共有サービスにおいては、ライブ動画等のコンテンツが投稿され、当該投稿されたコンテンツがサーバ１０によって公開される。ユーザは、クライアント端末３０を操作して、当該投稿されたコンテンツのうち所望のものにアクセスし、当該所望のコンテンツを視聴することができる。また、サーバ１０は、アバタ表示機能、チャット機能などのユーザによるコンテンツ共有サービスへの参加を促す各種の機能を提供することができる。
　サーバ１０は、クライアント端末３０からの所望のコンテンツの配信要求に応じて、要求されたコンテンツを表示可能な表示画像をクライアント端末に表示させることができる。クライアント端末３０に表示される表示画像には、配信されたコンテンツを表示するコンテンツ表示領域と、コンテンツ以外の情報を表示する背景領域とが含まれる。この背景領域には、視聴者ユーザを表すアバタや視聴者ユーザが送信したメッセージが表示され得る。また、視聴者ユーザは、クライアント端末３０が提供するユーザインタフェースを用いて、所定のアイテムを背景領域に表示させるための表示要求をサーバ１０に送信することができる。本発明の一実施形態に係るサーバ１０は、この表示要求に基づいて、表示画面（の背景領域）に表示させる表示アイテムを決定し、この表示アイテムを含む表示画像をクライアント端末３０に提供することができる。
　本発明の一実施形態に係るサーバ１０のアーキテクチャを説明する。本発明の一実施形態に係るサーバ１０は、図示のとおり、プロセッサ１１と、メインメモリ１２と、ユーザＩ／Ｆ１３と、通信Ｉ／Ｆ１４と、ストレージ１５とを備える。これらの各構成要素は、不図示のバスを介して互いに電気的に接続される。プロセッサ１１は、ストレージ１５からオペレーティングシステムやコンテンツを含む表示画像の配信を実行するための様々なプログラムをメインメモリ１２にロードし、ロードしたプログラムに含まれる命令を実行する。メインメモリ１２は、プロセッサ１１が実行するプログラムを格納するために用いられ、例えば、ＤＲＡＭによって構成される。
　ユーザＩ／Ｆ１３は、例えば、オペレータの入力を受け付けるキーボードやマウス等の情報入力装置と、プロセッサ１１の演算結果を出力する液晶ディスプレイ等の情報出力装置とを含む。通信Ｉ／Ｆ１４は、ハードウェア、ファームウェア、又はＴＣＰ／ＩＰドライバやＰＰＰドライバ等の通信用ソフトウェア又はこれらの組み合わせとして実装され、ネットワーク２０を介してクライアント端末３０と通信可能に構成される。
　ストレージ１５は、例えば磁気ディスクドライブで構成される。ストレージ１５には、クライアント端末３０に配信される表示画像を構成するコンテンツ及び背景画像が記憶される。このコンテンツは、例えば、ライブビデオや録画ビデオ等の動画コンテンツであるが、本発明に適用可能なコンテンツの種類は特定のものに限定されない。コンテンツは、そのコンテンツの種類に応じた所定のファイル形式で記憶される。例えば、動画はＷＭＶ形式、ＱｕｉｃｋＴｉｍｅ形式等の公知の形式で記憶され得る。本発明の一実施形態において、ストレージ１５に格納されるコンテンツは、一般のユーザ（コンテンツの視聴者）によって投稿されたものであってもよく、サーバ１０の運営者によって事前に投稿が許可された提供者（例えば、プロフェッショナルな歌手、芸能プロダクションなど）から投稿されたコンテンツであってもよい。投稿者を事前に審査することにより、配信されるコンテンツの品質を維持することができる。
　ストレージ１５には、例えば、オペレーティングシステム等のプログラムやコンテンツを含む表示画像の配信を実行するための様々なプログラムがさらに記憶される。またストレージ１５には、メッセージ、アイテム、アバタ等の各種データがコンテンツに関連付けられて記憶されている。メッセージ、アイテム、アバター等の各種データは、クライアント端末３０に表示する表示画像を生成する際に用いられる。また、ストレージ１５には、各ユーザが所属するグループについてのグループ情報を管理するために、各ユーザを特定するユーザＩＤが、各ユーザが所属するグループを特定するグループＩＤと対応付けて記憶され得る。ストレージ１５に記憶される各種データは、サーバ１０とは物理的に別体のストレージ（例えばストレージ２５）やデータベースサーバに格納されてもよい。
　一実施形態におけるサーバ１０は、階層構造の複数のウェブページから成るウェブサイトを管理するウェブサーバであり、クライアント端末３０に対して動画等のコンテンツを含む表示画像や各種のサービスを提供することができる。このウェブページには、サービスのトップページ、コンテンツ配信用のページ、アカウント設定用のページ、コンテンツ投稿用のページ、及びこれら以外のコンテンツ共有サービスに関連するページが含まれる。クライアント端末３０は、このウェブページを表示するためのＨＴＭＬデータをサーバ１０から取得し、取得したＨＴＭＬデータを解析して動画等のコンテンツを含む表示画像をクライアント端末３０のディスプレイに表示することができる。
　本発明の他の実施形態においては、クライアント端末３０においてＯＳやミドルウェア等の実行環境上でアプリケーションプログラムを実行することにより、このアプリケーションプログラムとサーバ１０が協働してコンテンツ共有サービスを提供することができる。このアプリケーションプログラムは、例えば、ストレージ１５やストレージ２５に格納されており、クライアント端末３０からの要求に応じて、クライアント端末３０にダウンロードされる。このアプリケーションプログラムには、クライアント端末３０での実行時に、サーバ１０から提供されるデータを処理するための命令セットや当該命令セット実行時に参照される画像データ等の各種データを含めることができる。
　ストレージ１５や図示しない外部ストレージ等に記憶されたアプリケーションプログラムは、クライアント端末３０からの配信要求に応じて、当該クライアント端末３０に配信される。配信されたアプリケーションプログラムは、クライアント端末３０において、プロセッサ３１の制御に従って通信Ｉ／Ｆ３４を介して受信される。受信されたアプリケーションプログラムは、例えばストレージ３５に記憶される。このアプリケーションプログラムは、プレイヤによるクライアント端末３０の操作に応じて起動され、クライアント端末３０に実装されたＯＳやミドルウェア等のプラットフォーム上で実行される。サーバ１０は、クライアント端末３０で実行されているアプリケーションに対して動画等のコンテンツを含む表示画像の表示に必要な各種データを提供する。また、サーバ１０は、クライアント端末３０から送信される各種データをユーザごとに記憶することで、ユーザごとに表示画像を管理することができる。
　以上のとおり、サーバ１０は、動画等のコンテンツを含む表示画像や各種のサービスを提供するウェブサイトを管理しており、当該ウェブサイトを構成するウェブページをクライアント端末３０からの要求に応じて配信することで、コンテンツ共有サービスを提供することができる。また、本発明の他の態様においては、サーバ１０は、クライアント端末３０で実行されるアプリケーションプログラムと協働してコンテンツ共有サービスを提供することができる。詳細な説明は省略するが、サーバ１０は、ゲームの開始時のプレイヤの認証処理や、クライアント端末３０を使用するユーザの要求に応じて発生する課金処理を行う機能などのコンテンツ共有サービスを提供するための付随的な機能を備えることもできる。
　次に、クライアント端末３０のアーキテクチャについて説明する。本発明の一実施形態に係るクライアント端末３０は、サーバ１０から取得したウェブサイトのウェブページをウェブブラウザ上で表示する環境及びアプリケーションプログラムを実行するためのアプリケーション実行環境の少なくとも一方を実装した任意の情報処理装置であり、例えば、携帯電話機、スマートフォン、タブレット端末、パーソナルコンピュータ、電子書籍リーダー及びゲーム用コンソールを含むがこれらには限られない。
　本発明の一実施形態に係るクライアント端末３０は、図示のとおり、プロセッサ３１と、メインメモリ３２と、ユーザＩ／Ｆ３３と、通信Ｉ／Ｆ３４と、ストレージ３５と、を含み、これらの各構成要素が図示しないバスを介して互いに電気的に接続されている。
　プロセッサ３１は、ストレージ３５からオペレーティングシステム等の様々なプログラムをメインメモリ３２にロードし、ロードしたプログラムに含まれる命令を実行する。メインメモリ３２は、プロセッサ３１が実行するプログラムを格納するために用いられ、例えば、ＤＲＡＭによって構成される。
　ユーザＩ／Ｆ３３は、ユーザの入力を受け付ける情報入力装置と、プロセッサ３１の演算結果を出力する情報出力装置であり、タッチスクリーンを備える液晶ディスプレイなどの表示装置を含む。通信Ｉ／Ｆ３４は、ハードウェア、ファームウェア、又は、ＴＣＰ／ＩＰドライバやＰＰＰドライバ等の通信用ソフトウェア又はこれらの組み合わせとして実装され、ネットワーク２０を介してサーバ１０と通信可能に構成される。
　ストレージ３５は、例えば磁気ディスクドライブやフラッシュメモリ等により構成され、オペレーティングシステム等の様々なプログラムを記憶する。また、ストレージ３５は、サーバ１０から通信Ｉ／Ｆ３４を介してアプリケーションプログラムを受信した場合には、この受信したアプリケーションプログラムを記憶する。
　クライアント端末３０は、例えば、ＨＴＭＬ形式のファイル（ＨＴＭＬデータ）を解釈して画面表示するためのブラウザソフトウェアを備えており、このブラウザソフトウェアの機能によりサーバ１０から取得したＨＴＭＬデータを解釈して、受信したＨＴＭＬデータに対応するウェブページを表示することができる。また、クライアント端末３０は、ブラウザソフトウェアに組み込まれるプラグインソフト（例えば、アドビシステムズ社から提供されているＦｌａｓｈ　Ｐｌａｙｅｒ）を備えており、ＨＴＭＬデータに埋め込まれたＳＷＦ形式のファイルをサーバ１０から取得し、当該ＳＷＦ形式のファイルをブラウザソフトウェア及びプラグインソフトを用いて実行することができる。
　また、ＨＴＭＬデータにスクリプトが記述されている場合には、ブラウザソフトウェアが当該スクリプトを実行し、当該スクリプトの指示に従った処理を実行する。例えば、ＨＴＭＬデータ中のスクリプトにおいて、サーバ１０のストレージ１５に格納されたコンテンツのファイルが参照されている場合には、ブラウザソフトウェアは、当該参照されたファイルをサーバ１０から取得し、取得したコンテンツをウェブページに埋め込んで表示することができる。
　サーバ１０から取得するウェブページには、例えば、サーバ１０から配信可能なコンテンツの一覧を示す情報が含まれる。ユーザは、クライアント端末３０を操作して、当該一覧の中から所望のコンテンツを選択することにより、クライアント端末３０を用いて選択されたコンテンツを視聴することができる。また、クライアント端末３０においては、プレイヤの操作に応じてアプリケーションプログラムが起動され、クライアント端末３０に実装されたプラットフォーム上で実行される。クライアント端末３０においてアプリケーションプログラムが実行されると、例えば、当該アプリケーションプログラムがサーバ１０と通信を行い、配信可能なコンテンツの一覧を示す情報などのコンテンツ共有サービスに必要な情報を取得する。このアプリケーションを利用する場合もウェブページを利用する場合と同様に、クライアント端末３０を操作して、当該一覧の中から所望のコンテンツを選択することにより、クライアント端末３０を用いて選択されたコンテンツを視聴することができる。
　以上のようにして、クライアント端末３０のユーザは、サーバ１０から所望のコンテンツの配信を受けることができ、また、それ以外のコンテンツ共有サービスに含まれる様々なサービスを受けることができる。
　次に、本発明の一実施形態に係るサーバによって情報処理プログラム４０を実行することにより実現される機能を説明する。図２は、本発明の一実施形態に係るサーバ１０のプロセッサ１１において実行される情報処理プログラム４０の構成を示すブロック図である。図示のとおり、情報処理プログラム４０は、受付モジュール４１、判定モジュール４２、表示制御モジュール４３、及びリクエスト生成モジュール４４を備える。サーバ１０の各機能は、情報処理プログラ４０が備えるモジュールのこれらの一部又は全部を実行することにより実現される。また図２においてサーバ１０に備えられているモジュールの一部又は全部は、サーバ１０以外の装置のプロセッサにより実行されてもよい。
　本発明の一実施形態に係る受付モジュール４１は、複数のユーザの各々からのアイテム表示要求を含む合同リクエストを受け付けるように構成される。この合同リクエストには、クライアント端末３０の各ユーザからのアイテムの表示要求が含まれる。また、各表示要求には、表示を要求する対象のアイテムを特定する識別情報（アイテムＩＤ）が含まれている。受付モジュール４１は、各ユーザからのアイテム表示要求に含まれているアイテムＩＤに基づいて、各ユーザが表示を要求しているアイテムを特定することができる。当該合同リクエストには、複数のユーザの各々からの表示要求、例えば、第１のユーザからのアイテムの表示要求（第１の表示要求）と、第２のユーザからのアイテムの表示要求（第２の表示要求）とを含むことができる。本発明の一実施形態において、合同リクエストには、３以上のユーザからの表示要求を含むことができるし、また、１のユーザからの２以上の表示要求を含むこともできる。ユーザからの表示要求の各々には、例えば、その表示要求を行うユーザを特定するユーザＩＤと、当該ユーザが表示を要求するアイテムを特定するアイテムＩＤと、が含まれる。
　合同リクエストは、例えば、以下のようにして生成される。まず、複数のユーザの各々からのアイテム表示要求を含む合同リクエストが、クライアント端末３０において生成される。上述したように、クライアント端末３０のユーザはグループ化されており、サーバ１０において、各グループに属するユーザのユーザＩＤが管理されている。所定のグループに属する第１のユーザから、所定のアイテムの表示を要求する表示要求がサーバ１０に送信されると、サーバ１０から当該第１のユーザと同一グループに属する第２のユーザのクライアント端末３０に対して、当該第１のユーザのユーザＩＤと、当該第１のユーザからの表示要求で特定されているアイテムを識別する情報（例えばアイテムＩＤ）が送信される。第２のユーザは、サーバから受信したユーザＩＤとアイテムＩＤとを含み、かつ、自らが表示を要求するアイテムを特定するアイテムＩＤを含むように合同リクエストを生成することができる。生成された合同リクエストは、第２ユーザのクライアント端末３０からサーバ１０に送信され、サーバ１０において受付モジュール４１により受け付けられる。第２のユーザのクライアント端末３０は、サーバから受信した第１のユーザのユーザＩＤと第１のユーザによって表示が要求されているアイテムＩＤに対応する画像をディスプレイに表示することができ、これにより、第２のユーザは、第１のユーザからの表示要求で要求されているアイテムを知ることができ、この第１のユーザが表示要求しているアイテムとの組み合わせを考慮して自らが表示要求するアイテムを決定することができる。また、第２のユーザは、表示要求するアイテムを決める際に、サーバ１０が提供するメッセージ機能やチャット機能を利用して第１のユーザとコミュニケーションを取り、どのようなアイテムの組み合わせであれば後述する組み合わせ条件を満たすかを検討することができる。
　本発明の他の実施形態においては、複数のユーザの各々からのアイテム表示要求を含む合同リクエストをサーバ１０（リクエスト生成モジュール４４）において生成することができる。本発明の一実施形態に係るリクエスト生成モジュール４４は、複数のユーザのクライアント端末から複数のユーザの各々によるアイテムの表示要求を受け付けて、受け付けた複数のユーザの各々によるアイテムの表示要求に基づいて、合同リクエストを生成するように構成される。例えば、リクエスト生成モジュール４４は、第１のユーザからの表示要求と第２のユーザからの表示要求を取得し、これらの表示要求に基づいて、第１のユーザからの表示要求と第２のユーザからの表示要求とを含む合同リクエストを生成することができる。上述したように、サーバ１０においては、各グループに属するユーザのユーザＩＤが管理されているので、リクエスト生成モジュール４４は、同一のグループに属するユーザからの表示要求を抽出し、その抽出した表示要求を含む合同リクエストを生成することができる。ユーザは、合同リクエストに関連する表示要求とそれ以外の単独での表示要求とを区別するための識別子を表示要求中に含めることができる。これにより、リクエスト生成モジュール４４は、合同リクエストに関連する表示要求であることを示す識別子を含む表示要求を取得したことに応じて、その表示要求を行ったユーザと同一のグループに属するユーザの表示要求を抽出して合同リクエストを生成することができる。
　本発明の一実施形態においては、合同リクエストに含まれる複数のアイテムＩＤの順番により、当該合同リクエスト内でのアイテムの表示要求の順番を決定することができる。例えば、合同リクエストに、第１のアイテム（例えば「花束」）を特定するアイテムＩＤを含む第１のユーザからの表示要求と、第２のアイテムを特定するアイテムＩＤ（例えば「ケーキ」）を含む第２のユーザからの表示要求がこの順で含まれている場合には、受付モジュール４１は、この合同リクエストが、第１のアイテムを特定する表示要求と第２のアイテムを特定する表示要求とをこの順で含むことを特定することができる。
　上述した第１のユーザ及び第２のユーザからの表示要求を含む合同リクエストの生成方法はあくまでも例示にすぎず、３以上のユーザからの表示要求を含む合同リクエストも、上述した生成方法に従って生成することが可能である。本明細書で明示的に説明する合同リクエストの生成方法はあくまで例示に過ぎず、当業者に明らかな様々な手法で合同リクエストを生成することができる。合同リクエストは、複数のユーザの各々からのアイテム表示要求を含むものであり、後述する組み合わせ条件の判定に用いることができるものである限り、任意の情報を含むことができる。
　本発明の一実施形態に係る判定モジュール４２は、受付モジュール４１が受け付けた合同リクエスト又はリクエスト生成モジュール４４が生成した合同リクエストに基づいて、複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが、所定の条件（以下「組み合わせ条件」という。）を満たすか否かを判定する。この組み合わせ条件は、複数のユーザからの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせを特定するものである。したがって、単独のユーザが複数の表示要求を送信する場合であっても、その単独のユーザによる表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせでは、本発明の組み合わせ条件を満足することができない点に留意されたい。この組み合わせ条件の具体例は、特定のアイテム（例えば「花束」）が２以上のユーザからの表示要求で特定されていること、特定の複数種類のアイテムの組み合わせが複数のユーザからの表示要求により特定されていること（例えば「花束」、「ケーキ」、「シャンパン」が、３人の異なるユーザからの表示要求により特定されること）、などである。例えば、組み合わせ条件が、異なるユーザからの表示要求に１つ以上の「花束」と１つ以上の「ケーキ」と１つ以上の「シャンパン」とを含むことである場合には、合同リクエストに第１のユーザからの「花束」を特定する表示要求、第２のユーザからの「ケーキ」を特定する表示要求、及び第３のユーザからの「シャンパン」を特定する表示要求が含まれていれば、この組み合わせ条件は満たされていると判断される。一方、合同リクエストが、単一のユーザ（例えば第１のユーザ）からの「花束」を特定する表示要求と「ケーキ」を特定する表示要求と「シャンパン」を特定する表示要求とを含んでいても、この組み合わせ条件は満たされない。このように、本発明の組み合わせ条件は、複数の互いに異なるユーザからの表示要求によって特定されるアイテムの組み合わせを規定するものなので、ユーザは、互いにメッセージやチャットで連絡を取るなどして、この組み合わせ条件が規定する組み合わせを満たそうとする。本発明の実施形態では、このようにして、ユーザ同士のコミュニケーションの活性化が図られている。
　また、上述のように、組み合わせ条件は、合同リクエストに含まれるアイテムの組み合わせだけでなく、その順番も規定することができる。例えば、異なるユーザからの表示要求に１つ以上の「花束」と１つ以上の「ケーキ」と１つ以上の「シャンパン」とをこの順番で含むこと、を条件とすることができる。この場合、合同リクエストが最初に第１のユーザが「花束」を特定する表示要求を入力し、次に第２のユーザが「ケーキ」を特定する表示要求を入力し、最後に第３のユーザが「シャンパン」を特定する表示要求を入力することによって生成された場合には、上記の順番が特定された組み合わせ条件を満たすと判断される。一方、第１のユーザと第２のユーザの入力順序が逆になると、条件が満たされなくなる。
　本発明の一実施形態に係る表示制御モジュール４３は、判定モジュール４２の判定結果に応じて定められる一又は複数の表示アイテムを、コンテンツとともに、当該コンテンツを視聴しているユーザのクライアント端末３０に表示させる表示制御を行う。より具体的には、本発明の一実施形態に係る表示制御モジュール４３は、所定のコンテンツを視聴中のユーザのクライアント端末からの合同リクエストに基づいて、当該コンテンツを含む表示画像の背景領域に、判定モジュール４２の判定結果に応じて定められる一又は複数の表示アイテムを表示させる。
　表示アイテムについて、さらに説明する。本発明の一実施形態においては、判定モジュール４２において合同リクエストが組み合わせ条件を満たすと判断された場合には、当該コンビネーション要求に含まれている表示要求の各々により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせとは異なるアイテム（以下「特別アイテム」という。）が表示アイテムとして決定される。具体的には、合同リクエストに第１のユーザからの「花束」を特定する表示要求、第２のユーザからの「ケーキ」を特定する表示要求、及び第３のユーザからの「シャンパン」を特定する表示要求がが含まれており、この合同リクエストが組み合わせ条件を満たす場合には、この「花束」、「ケーキ」、及び「シャンパン」を表す画像ではなく、例えば、「ぬいぐるみ」を表す画像が表示アイテムとして決定される。
　一方、上記の組み合わせ条件を満たさない場合には、受付モジュール４１が受け付けた合同リクエストに含まれる表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせがそのまま表示アイテムとして表示される。例えば、合同リクエストに第１のユーザからの「花束」を特定する表示要求、第２のユーザからの「ケーキ」を特定する表示要求、及び第３のユーザからの「花束」を特定する表示要求が含まれており、この合同リクエストが組み合わせ条件を満たさない場合には、この「花束」、「ケーキ」、及び「花束」を表す画像が、それぞれ表示アイテムとして決定される。
　以上の実施形態においては、背景領域に表示される表示アイテムの多くは、組み合わせ条件を満たさない合同リクエストに基づいて特定されるものとなり、組み合わせ条件を満たす場合にのみ表示される特別アイテムは出現頻度が低くなる。したがって、特別アイテムを出現させたユーザは、当該コンテンツを視聴しているユーザの間で注目を集めることができるので、ユーザは、上記の組み合わせ条件を満たす合同リクエストを送信するように動機付けられる。この合同リクエストを生成する過程で、ユーザ同士のコミュニケーションが活性化する。
　次に、図３を参照し、本発明の一実施形態に従って、コンテンツ配信リクエストの受信から表示アイテムをクライアント端末３０に表示するまでの処理の流れを説明する。まず、ステップＳ１０１において、所定のコンテンツ（コンテンツＣ）の配信要求が、第１のユーザのクライアント端末からコンテンツ共有サービスを提供するサーバに対して送信される。ステップＳ１０２では、その配信が要求されたコンテンツをコンテンツ表示領域に含み、アイテム選択用ボタン等の操作用ボタンを背景領域に含む表示画像が構成され、当該表示画像が当該第１のユーザのクライアント端末に表示される。この表示画像は、例えば、図４に示されるようなものである。図示のとおり、クライアント端末３０に表示される表示画像は、コンテンツ表示領域に表示されるコンテンツＣと、背景領域に表示される背景画像Ｂとを含んでいる。背景領域には、背景画像Ｂに重ねて、コンテンツＣを視聴中のユーザ（「視聴者ユーザ」）のアバターＡと、視聴者ユーザから投稿されたメッセージＭと、視聴者ユーザからの表示要求に基づく表示アイテムＩと、アイテム選択用ボタンＳとが表示されている。表示アイテムＩは、第１のユーザ以外のコンテンツＣを視聴中のユーザからの表示要求に基づいて表示されている。
　ステップＳ１０３では、第１のユーザのクライアント端末において合同リクエストが生成され、生成された合同リクエストがサーバに送信される。サーバでは、当該クライアント端末からの合同リクエストが受け付けられる。この合同リクエストを受け付ける工程は、例えば、上述した受付モジュール４１の実行により行われる。合同リクエストの生成は、上述したように、サーバ側において、例えばリクエスト生成モジュール４４によって行われても良い。
　次に、ステップＳ１０４において、ステップＳ１０３で受け付けられた合同リクエストに基づいて、当該合同リクエストに含まれる複数のユーザからの表示要求で特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが、所定の組み合わせ条件を満たすか否かの判定が行われる。この判定は、例えば、上述した判定モジュール４２により実行される。当該組み合わせ条件を満たさないと判定された場合はステップＳ１０５へ進み、当該組み合わせ条件を満たすと判定された場合はステップＳ１０６へ進む。
　ステップＳ１０５では、ステップＳ１０３でコンテンツＣを視聴中の第１のユーザのクライアント端末から受け付けられた合同リクエストに基づいて、当該合同リクエストで特定される複数の表示要求により特定される表示アイテムが、コンテンツＣの表示画像の背景領域に表示される。この表示アイテムは、合同リクエストを送信したクライアント端末だけでなく、前記コンテンツを視聴しているクライアント端末の全てに表示されてもよい。例えば、クライアント端末からの合同リクエストが第１のユーザからの「花束」アイテムについての表示要求と、第１のユーザの表示要求の後にされた第２のユーザからの「ケーキ」アイテムの表示要求とを含む場合には、「花束」アイテムと「ケーキ」アイテムが表示アイテムとして決定され、この表示アイテムに対応する画像が、図５に示すように、コンテンツＣを含む表示画像の背景領域に表示される。図５に示した表示画像では、第１のユーザからの表示要求に対応する「花束」を表す表示アイテムＩが、第１のユーザを表すアバタＡ１からコンテンツＣに向かって移動するように表示され、第２のユーザからの表示要求に対応する「ケーキ」を表す表示アイテムが、第２のユーザを表すアバタＡ２からコンテンツＣに向かって移動するように表示されている。
　ステップＳ１０６では、ステップＳ１０３でコンテンツＣを視聴中の第１のユーザのクライアント端末から受け付けられた合同リクエストに含まれる表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせとは異なる一または複数の表示アイテム（特別アイテム）が、コンテンツＣの表示画像の背景領域に表示される。この表示アイテムは、合同リクエストを送信したクライアント端末だけでなく、前記コンテンツを視聴しているクライアント端末の全てに表示されてもよい。例えば、クライアント端末からの合同リクエストが第１のユーザによる「花束」アイテムの表示要求と第２のユーザによる「ケーキ」アイテムの表示要求とを含む場合に、この「花束」と「ケーキ」との組み合わせとは異なる「シャンパン」アイテムが表示アイテムとして決定され、この表示アイテムに対応する画像Ｉが、図６に示すように、コンテンツＣを含む表示画像の背景領域に表示される。ステップＳ１０５及びステップＳ１０６における表示画像の表示制御は、例えば、上述した表示制御モジュール４３によって実行される。
　ステップＳ１０７では、他の合同リクエストが受け付けられたか否かが判定され、他の合同リクエストが受け付けられた場合には、ステップＳ１０４に移行し、当該他の合同リクエストの内容に応じた処理が行われる。他の合同リクエストを受け付けていない場合には、ステップＳ１０８に進んで、コンテンツの配信が終了したか否かを判定する。コンテンツの配信が終了していない場合には、ステップＳ１０７に戻る。コンテンツの配信が終了している場合には、処理は終了する。
　本明細書において説明された処理手順、特にフロー図を用いて説明された処理手順においては、その処理手順を構成する工程（ステップ）の一部を省略すること、その処理手順を構成する工程として明示されていない工程を追加すること，及び／又は当該工程の順序を入れ替えることが可能であり、このような省略、追加、順序の変更がなされた処理手順も本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない限り本発明の範囲に含まれる。
　本明細書で説明された処理及び手順は、実施形態中で明示的に説明されたもの以外にも、ソフトウェア、ハードウェアまたはこれらの任意の組み合わせによって実現される。より具体的には、本明細書で説明される処理及び手順は、集積回路、揮発性メモリ、不揮発性メモリ、磁気ディスク、光ストレージ等の媒体に、当該処理に相当するロジックを実装することによって実現される。また、本明細書で説明される処理及び手順は、それらの処理・手順をコンピュータプログラムとして実装し、各種のコンピュータに実行させることが可能である。
　本明細書中で説明される処理及び手順が単一の装置、ソフトウェア、コンポーネント、モジュールによって実行される旨が説明されたとしても、そのような処理または手順は複数の装置、複数のソフトウェア、複数のコンポーネント、及び／又は複数のモジュールによって実行され得る。また、本明細書中で説明されるデータ、テーブル、又はデータベースが単一のメモリに格納される旨説明されたとしても、そのようなデータ、テーブル、又はデータベースは、単一の装置に備えられた複数のメモリまたは複数の装置に分散して配置された複数のメモリに分散して格納され得る。さらに、本明細書において説明されるソフトウェアおよびハードウェアの要素は、それらをより少ない構成要素に統合して、またはより多い構成要素に分解することによって実現することも可能である。
　本明細書において、発明の構成要素が単数もしくは複数のいずれか一方として説明された場合、又は、単数もしくは複数のいずれとも限定せずに説明された場合であっても、文脈上別に解すべき場合を除き、当該構成要素は単数又は複数のいずれであってもよい。

Claims (8)

  1. 　所定のプログラムを１又は複数のコンピュータプロセッサに実行させることにより、複数のユーザの各々のクライアント端末に対してコンテンツを配信するサーバであって、
    　前記所定のプログラムは、
    　前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求を含む合同リクエストを受け付ける受付モジュールと、
    　前記合同リクエストに基づいて、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが、所定の条件を満たすか否かを判定する判定モジュールと、
    　前記判定モジュールの判定結果に応じて定められる一又は複数の表示アイテムを、前記コンテンツとともに前記クライアント端末に表示させる表示制御モジュールと、
    　を備えるサーバ。
  2. 　前記表示制御モジュールは、前記判定モジュールによって前記所定の条件が満たされていると判断された場合には、前記表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせとは異なる一または複数の表示アイテムを表示させ、前記判定モジュールによって前記所定の条件が満たされないと判断された場合には、前記表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせを表示させることを特徴とする請求項１に記載のサーバ。
  3. 　前記所定の条件は、前記表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが、所定のアイテムの組み合わせを含むことであることを特徴とする請求項１または２に記載のサーバ。
  4. 　前記所定の条件は、前記合同リクエストに基づいて特定されるアイテムの表示要求の順番が、所定のアイテムの順番と合致することであることを特徴とする請求項３に記載のサーバ。
  5. 　前記所定のプログラムは、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求に基づいて、前記合同リクエストを作成するリクエスト生成モジュールをさらに備え、
    　前記受付モジュールは、前記合同リクエストを前記リクエスト生成モジュールから受け付けることを特徴とする請求項１ないし請求項４のいずれか１項に記載のサーバ。
  6. 　前記受付モジュールは、前記合同リクエストを前記複数のユーザの各々のクライアント端末のいずれかから受け付けることを特徴とする請求項１ないし請求項４のいずれか１項に記載のサーバ。
  7. 　複数のユーザの各々のクライアント端末に対してコンテンツを配信するサーバの１又は複数のコンピュータプロセッサに実行されるプログラムであって、
    　コンピュータを、
    　前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求を含む合同リクエストを受け付ける受付手段、
    　前記合同リクエストに基づいて、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが、所定の条件を満たすか否かを判定する判定手段、及び、
    　前記判定モジュールの判定結果に応じて定められる一又は複数の表示アイテムを、前記コンテンツとともに前記クライアント端末に表示させる表示制御手段、
    として機能させるプログラム。
  8. 　複数のユーザの各々のクライアント端末に対してコンテンツを配信する方法であって、
    　前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求を含む合同リクエストを受け付ける工程と、
    　前記合同リクエストに基づいて、前記複数のユーザの各々からのアイテムの表示要求により特定されるアイテムの組み合わせが、所定の条件を満たすか否かを判定する工程と、
    　前記判定モジュールの判定結果に応じて定められる一又は複数の表示アイテムを、前記コンテンツとともに前記クライアント端末に表示させる工程と、
    を備える方法。
