- the first pinion 51 and the second pinion 52 are configured in the same manner except that the positional relationship of the racks 53 and 54 with respect to the pinions 51 and 52 is different, and the first rack 53 and the second rack 54 are also configured. Are structured similarly. For this reason, in the following description, it demonstrates paying attention to the 1st pinion 51 and the 1st rack 53.
- the outer diameter (pitch circle diameter) of the first pinion 51 is formed to be approximately half of the outer diameter (pitch circle diameter) of the first rotation pinion sprocket 22. In other words, the outer diameter of the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 is formed approximately twice the outer diameter of the first pinion 51.
- the reason is as follows. Since the three pinion sprockets 20 are arranged at equal intervals in the circumferential direction, the chain length between the first pinion sprocket 22 and the fixed pinion sprocket 20 is such that the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 is a distance x in the radial direction. When moved, it changes by “2 ⁇ x / 3”.
- the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 rotates (rotates) so that the chain 6 having a length of “2 ⁇ x / 3” is fed or pulled out between the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 and the fixed pinion sprocket 21,
- the chain length is adjusted appropriately. Therefore, in order to adjust the chain length appropriately, when the first pinion 51 rotates by the distance x, the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 needs to rotate by 2 ⁇ x / 3. That is, the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 needs to rotate by 2 ⁇ / 3 times in the circumferential length with respect to the first pinion 51.
- the ratio between the outer diameter of the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 and the outer diameter of the first pinion 51 needs to be “2 ⁇ / 3: 1”.
- the outer diameter of the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 is formed to be “2 ⁇ / 3” times (substantially twice) the outer diameter of the first pinion 51.
- a disc spring is interposed between the support shaft 22a and the rotation pins 22b and 22c in the first rotation pinion sprocket 22. This is to absorb a shock (impact) at the time of meshing between the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 and the chain 6 that may occur during the change of the gear ratio.
- This disc spring is also provided in each of the fixed pinion sprocket 21 and the second rotation pinion sprocket 23.
- FIG. 1 the output side tangent radius that is expanded or contracted by driving of the relative rotation drive mechanism 30 is indicated by a solid line with a maximum diameter, and a dotted line with a minimum diameter.
- the rotary shaft 1 is formed with a recess 2 in which a plurality of pinion sprockets 20 can be accommodated. In the recess 2, the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 are housed most deeply when the tangent radius becomes the minimum diameter.
- the degree of accommodation (accommodation depth) of the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 in the recess 2 decreases, and the radial position further increases. As a result, the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 are separated from the recess 2.
- the recess 2 has a first recess 2 a corresponding to the fixed pinion sprocket 21 and two second recesses 2 b and 2 b corresponding to the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23.
- One second recess 2b and the other second recess 2b are configured similarly.
- the first recess 2 a is formed in a shape corresponding to the outer peripheral shape of the fixed pinion sprocket 21.
- the first recess 2a is formed in a cross-sectional shape corresponding to the outer peripheral shape of the main body portion 21b of the fixed pinion sprocket 21 from the outer peripheral surface side of the columnar rotating shaft.
- the first recess 2a has a shape obtained by removing a part of a column that is thinner than the columnar rotating shaft.
- the main body portion 21b of the fixed pinion sprocket 21 is brought into contact with the first recess 2a when the tangent radius becomes the minimum diameter.
- the main body portion 21 b of the fixed pinion sprocket 21 is accommodated so as to bite into the rotary shaft 1.
- the second recess 2b is formed in a cross-sectional shape corresponding to the outer peripheral shape of the rotation pinion sprockets 22,23. More specifically, the second recess 2b is a cylinder having a bottom surface or an upper surface formed by connecting the tips of the teeth of the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23 from the outer peripheral surface side of the cylindrical rotating shaft. The shape is formed by removing the portion. When the tangent radius becomes the minimum diameter, the tips of the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23 abut against the second recess 2b. At this time, the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23 are accommodated so as to bite into the rotary shaft 1. The guide rod 29 abuts on the outer peripheral surface 1a of the rotating shaft 1 located between the recesses 2a and 2b when the radius of contact is the smallest.
- FIG. 5 shows what uses a so-called silent chain for the chains 6A, 6B, and 6C, but instead, other types of chains such as a roller chain and a bush chain may be used.
- These chains 6A, 6B, 6C are provided with a pitch shifted from each other.
- the pitch of each other is shifted by 1/3 pitch.
- the phases of the teeth 20c of the pinion sprocket 20 meshing with the chains 6A, 6B, 6C are also shifted.
- the chains 6A, 6B, and 6C are similarly configured except for the arrangement pitch.
- two or four or more chains 6 are used depending on the transmission torque of the continuously variable transmission mechanism. In this case, it is preferable that the pitch of each chain is shifted by “1 / number of chains”. .
- the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 or the second rotation pinion sprocket 23 is rotated by the mechanical rotation drive mechanism 50, whereby the fixed pinion sprocket 21 and the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 or the second rotation pinion sprocket 23 are rotated. In the meantime, only the shortage of the chain length is sent.
Only the remainder (sag) of the chain length is drawn from the gap.
- the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23 that rotate when the tangent radius is expanded or contracted have a one-to-one relationship between the radial position of the pinion sprocket 20 and the rotation phase of the rotation of the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23 by the mechanical rotation drive mechanism 50. It has become a correspondence relationship. That is, the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23 can transmit power while adjusting the excess or deficiency of the chain 6 when changing the gear ratio by the expansion / contraction diameter of the tangent radius.
- the rotation pinion sprocket 22 causes the mechanical rotation drive mechanism 50 to eliminate the phase shift of the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 with respect to the chain 6 in accordance with the radial movement of the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 by the sprocket moving mechanism 40A. , 23 are driven to rotate in conjunction with the sprocket moving mechanism 40, so that when the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 are moved in the radial direction, that is, when the gear ratio is changed, the chain length between the pinion sprockets is adjusted appropriately.
- the gear ratio can be changed while transmitting power.
- the gear ratio can be changed while power is transmitted. Further, when the continuously variable transmission mechanism is used in a vehicle transmission equipped with an engine, the engine brake can be applied.
- the first rack 53 is disposed on the retard side with respect to the first pinion 51 of the first rotation pinion sprocket 22, and the second rackion is connected to the second pinion 52 of the second rotation pinion sprocket 23. Since the second rack 54 is arranged on the advance side, the chain length is insufficient when the contact radius increases between the fixed pinion sprocket 21 and the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 or the second rotation pinion sprocket 23. Minutes are fed, and when the tangent radius is reduced, the remainder of the chain length (sag) is pulled out. That is, the chain 6 to be loosened is pulled out, and the chain 6 is fed when the chain 6 tries to stretch, so that the chain length can be adjusted appropriately.
- the power transmission between the chain 6 and any one of the pinion sprockets 20 is interrupted regardless of the rotation phase of the plurality of pinion sprockets 20. Absent. Therefore, it contributes to reliable power transmission. Furthermore, since the outer periphery of the rotating pinion sprockets 22 and 23 is formed approximately twice as large as the outer periphery of the pinions 51 and 52, the chain 6 is fed or retracted between the pinion sprockets 20 without excess or deficiency, and the chain length is adjusted appropriately. can do.
- the fixed pinion sprocket 21 Since the guide member 59 integrally coupled to the support shaft 21a of the fixed pinion sprocket 21 is formed in a corresponding shape so as to contact the first guide groove 12a over a predetermined radial length, the fixed pinion sprocket 21 Even if a rotational force that rotates 21 is applied, the guide member 59 does not contact the first guide groove 12a and rotate (spin) due to the rotational force. Therefore, the fixed pinion sprocket 21 can be prevented from rotating.
- the sprocket moving mechanism 40A when the movable disk 19 is driven to rotate relative to the first fixed disk 11 by the relative rotation drive mechanism 30, the fixed radial grooves 11a for the sprocket of the first fixed disk 11 and the movable disk 19 The intersection with the sprocket movable radial groove 19a is moved in the radial direction, and the support shafts 21a, 22a, 23a and the pinion sprockets 21, 22, 23 supported by the intersection are moved in the radial direction. In this way, the three pinion sprockets 20 can be moved in synchronism with each other in the radial direction while maintaining an equal distance from the axis C11 of the rotary shaft 1, and the gear ratio can be changed.
- the recesses 2 that can accommodate the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 are formed on the outer periphery of the rotating shaft 1, the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 are accommodated so that the plurality of pinion sprockets 2 bite into the recesses 2. Can be further brought closer to the axis C1 of the rotary shaft 1. Thereby, the minimum diameter of the tangent radius comprised by the several pinion sprocket 20 can be made small. Therefore, the ratio coverage can be expanded.
- the rigidity and strength of the rotating shaft 1 are ensured by securing the cross-sectional area of the rotating shaft 1. Can do.
- the tangent radius becomes the minimum diameter there is a possibility that a large burden is applied to the rotating shaft 1, but the rigidity and strength of the rotating shaft 1 are ensured, so that the durability of the continuously variable transmission mechanism can be improved. Contributes to securing and improving reliability.
- the plurality of guide rods 29 come into contact with the outer peripheral surface 1a of the rotating shaft 1, so that deformation such as bending and twisting of the guide rod 29 can be suppressed.
- variation of the distance of the chain 6 and the shaft center C1 of the rotating shaft 1 is suppressed, and it contributes to the reduction of vibration and noise.
- it can contribute also to ensuring the intensity
- a first recess 2 a corresponding to the outer peripheral shape of the fixed pinion sprocket 21 in which teeth 21 c are partially protruded from the outer peripheral portion, and a rotation pinion having teeth formed on the entire outer periphery. Since each 2nd recess 2b according to the outer periphery shape of the sprockets 22 and 23 is formed, it can be said that the 1st recess 2a is a recess smaller than the 2nd recess 2b. For this reason, it can replace with the 1st recessed part 2a, and can ensure the cross-sectional area of the rotating shaft 1 compared with what formed the 2nd recessed part 2b.
- the minimum diameter of the tangent circle radius can be further reduced while securing a cross-sectional area equivalent to that in which the second recess 2b is formed instead of the first recess 2a.
- the ratio coverage can be further expanded. Since the chains 6A, 6B, and 6C are provided at different pitches, the noise can be reduced by dispersing the noise caused by the contact between the chains 6A, 6B, and 6C and the guide rod 29.
- the fixed disk group 10 includes a first fixed disk (fixed disk) 11, a second fixed disk (first rotation disk) 112, and a third fixed disk (second disk) in order from the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 side. (Rotating disc) 13. These fixed disks 11, 112, and 13 are all formed integrally with the rotating shaft 1, or are all coupled to rotate integrally with the rotating shaft 1.
- the second fixed disk 112 is formed with a first rotation radial groove 112a
- the third fixed disk 13 is formed with a second rotation radial groove 13a.
- Each of the rotation radial grooves 112a and 13a is a rotation pin.
- the second fixed disk 12 and the third fixed disk 13 is formed with a pin groove for guiding a pin provided on the fixed pinion sprocket 21.
- the pin groove is formed so as to extend along the radial movement route of the fixed pinion sprocket 21 and guides the rotation so as not to inhibit the radial movement of the fixed pinion sprocket 21.
- the configurations and functions of the fixed disk 11 and the movable disk 19 are the same as those in the first embodiment.
- the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 rotates clockwise when the contact radius is increased, and rotates counterclockwise when the contact radius is reduced.
- the second rotation pinion sprocket 23 rotates counterclockwise when the tangent radius is increased, and rotates clockwise when the tangent radius is reduced.
- the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 is provided with a first rotation pin 22 b and a second rotation pin 22 c for rotation by the mechanical rotation drive mechanism 150. These rotation pins 22b and 22c are provided eccentrically with respect to the axis C3 of the support shaft 22a. 6 is schematically shown for easy understanding, like FIG. 2, and the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 and the second rotation pinion sprocket 23 are shown in the same cross section.
- the second rotation pinion sprocket 23 is provided with a first rotation pin 23 b and a second rotation pin 23 c for rotation by the mechanical rotation drive mechanism 150.
- These rotation pins 23b and 23c are provided eccentrically with respect to the axis C4 of the support shaft 23a.
- the second rotation pins 22c and 23c are formed so that the length along the axial centers C3 and C4 is longer than the thickness of the second fixed disk 112 than the first rotation pins 22b and 22c.
- the disc 13 is inserted into the second rotating radial groove 13a and guided by the groove 13a.
- a pin is also provided on the fixed pinion sprocket 21.
- This pin is provided eccentrically with respect to the shaft center C2 and is guided by a pin groove formed in at least one of the second and third fixed disks 112 and 13, thereby preventing rotation of the fixed pinion sprocket 21. Functions as a detent.
- the mechanical rotation drive mechanism 150 includes rotation pins 22 b, 22 c, 23 b, 23 c provided on the support shafts 22 a, 23 a of the rotation pinion sprockets 22, 23, and the second fixed disk 112.
- the first rotation radial groove 112 a is formed, and the second rotation radial groove 13 a formed in the third fixed disk 13.
- the mechanism 150 includes a pin provided on a support shaft 21 a of the fixed pinion sprocket 21 (not shown) and a second fixed disk 112 formed with a pin groove for guiding the pin so as to prevent the rotation of the fixed pinion sprocket 21. And / or a third fixed disk 13.
- the mechanical rotation drive mechanism 150 includes rotation pins 22b and 22c provided eccentrically with respect to the axis C3, and rotation radial grooves 112a and 13a corresponding to the rotation pins 22b and 22a, respectively.
- the first rotation pinion sprocket 22 is rotated by being guided by. 7 and 8 show the time series in the order indicated by the white arrows.
- Each of the radial grooves 112a and 13a for rotation is formed in a shape that rotates the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23 so as to eliminate a phase shift of the pinion sprocket 20 to the chain 60 due to radial movement.
- the mechanical rotation drive mechanism 150 guides the pin of the fixed pinion sprocket 21 with a pin groove extending along the moving route of the fixed pinion sprocket 21, so that the pin of the fixed pinion sprocket 21 becomes the pin. It is in sliding contact with the groove and prevents rotation without inhibiting the radial movement of the fixed pinion sprocket 21.
- the mechanical rotation driving mechanism 150 eliminates the phase shift of the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 with respect to the chain 6 as the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 are moved in the radial direction by the sprocket moving mechanism 40. Since the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23 are driven to rotate in conjunction with the sprocket moving mechanism 40 in the same manner as in the first embodiment, when the plurality of pinion sprockets 20 are moved in the radial direction, that is, when the gear ratio is changed, By appropriately adjusting the chain length between the pinion sprockets, the gear ratio can be changed while transmitting power.
- the rotation radial grooves 112a and 13a guide the rotation pins 22b and 22c, and the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 22 In order to rotate 23, the chain length between the several pinion sprockets 20 is adjusted appropriately. As a result, the speed ratio can be changed smoothly while reliably transmitting power. Furthermore, when the continuously variable transmission mechanism is used in a vehicle transmission equipped with an engine, engine braking can be applied.
- the mechanical rotation drive mechanism 150 includes first rotation pins 22b and 23b and second rotation pins 22c as two types of rotation pins that are eccentric with respect to the axial centers C3 and C4 of the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23, respectively.
- the pinion sprockets 22 and 23 can be reliably rotated. Thereby, the change of the gear ratio can be ensured, which contributes to improvement of power transmission efficiency.
- the mechanical rotation drive mechanism 150 guides the fixed pinion sprocket 21 so as not to rotate, and guides the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23 to rotate. Therefore, the fixed pinion sprocket 21 and other pinions adjacent thereto are guided. The excess or deficiency of the chain length between the rotation pinion sprockets 22 and 23 which are sprockets can be adjusted. As a result, the transmission gear ratio can be changed while reliably transmitting power. Other actions and effects are also provided in the same manner as in the first embodiment.
- the fixed pinion sprocket 21 that does not rotate and the rotating pinion sprockets 22 and 23 that rotate are shown.
- any of the pinion sprockets 21, 22, and 23 may be configured to rotate.
- the rotation directions of at least one of the adjacent pinion sprocket pairs are set in opposite directions.
- the number of pinion sprockets 20 is not limited to this, and may be four or more, and any pinion sprocket 20 may always mesh with the chain 60.
- the number may be two.
- At least one of the adjacent pinion sprockets 20 is configured as a pinion sprocket 20 that rotates, and radial grooves 11 a and 19 a corresponding to the number of pinion sprockets 20 are provided.
- the helical gear 12A is not limited to the outer peripheral portion of the second fixed disk 12, but may be provided at least in any one of the fixed disk group 10. According to such a configuration, a simple configuration can be achieved as compared with the case where the first fixed disk 11 and the second fixed disk 12 are provided. As a result, costs can be reduced and weight can be reduced.

Abstract
