Definitions
- the invention relates to a lock in particular for a motor vehicle comprising a locking mechanism with a rotatably mounted rotary latch for receiving a locking bolt.
- the locking further has a pawl with which the catch can be locked in order to lock the locking bolt can.
- the catch In the case of a locked catch, the catch is prevented by the pawl from pivoting to the open position. Only in the open position can a previously locked locking bolt leave the locking mechanism again.
- Such a lock comprises an actuating device.
- the control unit can be used to open a rusted lock.
- a common component of an actuator is an operating lever of the lock. When the operating lever is actuated, i.e. moved from a starting position to an end position, the locking mechanism is thereby opened.
- This operating lever is often connected via a Bowden cable or a comparable power transmission device with a handle of a door. If the handle is pressed, then the auxiliary lever of the Bowden cable is actuated.
- a lock can also have two operating levers. Typically, the one operating lever can then be operated with an inner handle of a door and the other operating lever with an outer handle of the door to open by pressing the latched locking mechanism and thus the lock.
- the operating lever may be spring loaded. It then acts a biased spring on the operating lever, which is able to move the operating lever back to its original position.
- the catch of a motor vehicle lock has a fork-shaped inlet slot into which the locking bolt of a vehicle door
- CONFIRMATION COPY or flap such as bonnet or trunk lid, comes when the door / flap is closed.
- the locking pin then rotates the catch from an open position to a closed position. If the catch has reached the closed position, it is locked in this position via the pawl.
- the locking bolt can not leave the inlet slot of the rotary latch and is thus locked.
- the pre-detent position serves to intercept the corresponding door or flap if it does not reach the main detent position when closing.
- the other detent position is then called the main detent position.
- the rotary latch In the pre-locking position, the rotary latch is consequently not completely closed, but an opening movement of the rotary latch is already prevented by a pawl. Therefore, also the area of the catch that receives the pawl in this position, referred to as a pre-rest. Finally, in the main catch position, the catch is completely closed.
- the pre-restraint thus represents a transition state between the opened state and the main rest and is provided for safety reasons. At the same time, however, it is desirable for reasons of user-friendliness that the lock can be opened from the main catch with the least possible expenditure of force. However, this must not affect the safety and functionality.
- Locks of motor vehicle locks may be structurally designed so that a closing moment is generated via the locking, which must be overcome by means of the actuating device for opening the locking mechanism.
- Closing moment means that the pawl can not be pushed out of its rest position due to a pressure exerted by the catch.
- a pressure of the rotary latch transmits such a torque to the pawl that the pawl is pulled or pushed into its latching position.
- locks such as those from DE 10 2007 003 948 AI are known, the locking surfaces are configured by corresponding bevels so that the locking mechanism would open after locking in the main catch itself. There is therefore a so-called self-opening locking mechanism.
- the catch then usually exerts a pressure on the pawl, in particular due to a door seal pressure, which can cause the pawl to be moved out of the latching position.
- it requires a blocking lever that blocks the opening-prone pawl in the locked position.
- the blockage lever can be opened with a relatively small amount of force. Then the locking mechanism opens essentially independently. In the event that insufficient force is generated during opening, for example via the door seal pressed together when the door or flap is closed, the lock according to DE 10 2007 003 948 A1 has a positive guidance mechanism for safely leaving the catch from the main catch position.
- DE 10 2009 029 041 AI discloses a lock, in which the position Vorrast on the same locking level as the position main rest is present.
- the lock comprises a catch of ratchet, pawl and blocking lever, which includes a pre-rest, a main catch and a self-opening mechanism.
- only one pawl for the pre-rest and the main post is used. In this lock, the pre-rest and the main catch are realized by different contours and depths of incidence of the pawl.
- the pawl has a rear hull to rust in the position Vorrast can. In the main rest position, the pawl falls deeper and has a pre-cut. Therefore, the pawl in the main rest must be blocked with the blocking lever to lock a locking bolt can.
- a lock comprises a locking mechanism with a catch which can be locked in a pre-locking position and in a main locking position with a pawl. It includes the case where only one pawl is provided, around which it is possible to move into a pre-rest position and into a main-rest position, in order to rust the catch. But is also included the case that a pawl is provided for rusting in the main -stop position and a second pawl for the position Vorrast.
- the lock comprises a control device which controls the movement of the locking mechanism such that the provided pawl can not fall into the pre-locking position by closing the locking mechanism. A sound associated with a dip is avoided during the closing of an associated door or flap.
- the locking mechanism can therefore be relatively quietly locked.
- Unscheduled unlatching means that the locking disengages in the main-load position, although no actuator for opening the locking mechanism has been actuated.
- An unscheduled opening of an associated door or flap and, for example, an associated risk to road users are reliably avoided.
- the control device comprises a control contour, which prevents a collapse of the pawl, which is able to lock in the pre-latching position, during a closing of the locking mechanism.
- This pawl is in an embodiment during closing on an outer side of the control contour at least temporarily, so for example with an arm and / or a cam or a bolt. Due to the concern a collapse of a pawl is avoided in the pre-locking position. The concern therefore basically takes place when intended for locking in the position Vorrast pawl would occur without presence of the control contour in the pre-locking position.
- this pawl or a second pawl provided for this purpose reaches the main ratcheting position and is unintentionally removed from its position without actuation of an actuating device provided therefor
- the detent pawl provided for latching in the pre-detent position is then not located on the outside of the control contour so as to prevent it from falling into the pre-detent position.
- An unplanned moving out of one or the pawl from the main detent position thus does not mean that an associated door or flap could open.
- the pawl which is able to lock in the pre-latching position, on the inside of the control contour when it latches in the pre-locking position.
- the concern can be done by an arm and / or a cam of the pawl.
- the control contour in this embodiment preferably has a profile such that the pawl can not be moved out of the pre-locking position solely by vibrations. It is then necessary for an opening of the lock, the rotary latch only to turn back in the direction of the main latching position to finally open the lock by pressing the actuator can.
- the control contour can be attached, for example, to a pawl or to a lock case.
- the control contour is attached to the rotary latch.
- a rotary latch basically has a larger surface area than a pawl. It is therefore structurally easier to attach a locking contour in a suitable manner to the rotary latch.
- An attachment to a lock case is structurally more difficult, because this would then regularly hinder pivoting of components of the castle.
- control contour adjoins the region of the rotary latch which serves for latching in the pre-latching position. This helps to keep the space small.
- control contour is angular or arcuate. It can be such a ramp-like course be provided to reliably control the movement of the intended for locking in the pre-locking position pawl during closing in the desired manner directly or indirectly.
- the control contour may alternatively indirectly control the movement of the pawl, which is capable of locking in the pre-latching position. This is done in one embodiment via a control lever, which then advantageously takes on at least a double function.
- a function of the control lever may be to control the movement of the pawl so that it can not come into the pre-locking position during a closing.
- Another function may be that a locking lever of the locking mechanism is provided, which is provided for blocking the pawl in a latching position, and usually at least in the main latching position.
- the control lever is also an operating lever of an actuator. By pressing the actuator, the lock can be opened according to plan. It can be provided as a lock with further improved properties, without having to provide for an excessively large space.
- a blocking lever in the case of a blocking lever, it is possible to provide a lock which can be opened with a small amount of force. This is at least the case when the catch is able to initiate an opening moment in the pawl when the ratchet is in a locked position.
- the rotary latch in the main latching position can initiate an opening moment in the corresponding pawl to allow opening with little effort.
- a blocking lever can also only cause the lock is further improved protected against unscheduled opening.
- the control lever advantageously comprises an arm which is expediently provided with a cam at the free end.
- the end of the arm and / or the cam are in the course of closing at least temporarily on the outside of the control contour, thereby preventing a collapse of the designated pawl in the pre-locking position. If the lock is unscheduled opened, the end of the arm and / or the cam is advantageously located on the inside of the control contour, so as to further improve ensure that unscheduled opening alone due to vibration is not possible if the locking mechanism in the pre-locking position is.
- control lever is movably connected to the pawl, which can rust in the pre-latching position.
- the control lever can then be pivoted relative to the pawl.
- Such a movement of the control lever independent of the pawl is possible only within a limited range.
- Advantages can be realized by this embodiment. Such an advantage may be that it is structurally simple way to prevent the locked in the pre-locking position locking mechanism can rust by vibration.
- a slot and an engaging or extending into the slot cam is provided to connect the control lever movable with the aforementioned pawl.
- the pawl which is able to rust in the pre-locking position, is advantageous during the closing until reaching the main rest position consistently on the rotary latch. This makes it possible to further minimize noise during closing.
- the lock comprises only one control lever and moreover only one pawl which is able to rust both in the pre-locking position and in the main locking position. The pawl engages by closing finally in the main detent position. A closing or closing operation is completed following a latching in the main latching position. The lock can be closed quietly and yet offers a high level of security.
- the movement of the blocking lever is prevented in its blocking position in the pre-locking position during closing by one or the aforementioned control lever.
- This can avoid that the blocking lever causes an undesirable noise during closing.
- the individual components of the lock can be suitably provided with prestressed springs in order to control movements of the locking mechanism in the desired manner.
- the catch may comprise a preloaded spring capable of rotating the catch in the direction of the open position.
- the pawl may comprise a biased spring, which is able to move the pawl in the direction of detent position.
- a blocking lever may comprise a preloaded spring which is capable of moving the blocking lever in the blocking position.
- a control lever may comprise a preloaded spring, which is able to move the control lever in the direction of the control contour.

- Figures 1 to 5 show a locking mechanism of a lock with a rotary latch 1, which can be locked in a pre-latching position and in a main latching position by a pawl 2.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrate the sequence of movements during a closing which ends with the latching of the pawl 2 into its main latching position according to FIG.
- FIG. 5 illustrates how, starting from the position shown in FIG. 4, the locking mechanism can rust in the pre-locking position.
- the rotary latch 1 can be rotated about its axis 3.
- the pawl 2 can be rotated about its axis 4.
- the rotary latch 1 has a latching surface 5 for rusting in the pre-latching position.
- the rotary latch 1 has a latching surface 6 for rusting in the main latching position.
- the pawl 2 has a latching surface 7, which in the latched state as shown in Figures 4 and 5 is applied to a latching surface 5, 6 of the catch 1.
- the lock comprises a control device which controls the movement sequence of the locking mechanism such that the locking pawl can not engage in the pre-locking position by closing the locking mechanism, as FIG. 2 illustrates.
- rusting in the pre-locking position is possible, as shown in FIG. 5, if the locking mechanism latched in the main locking position (see FIG. 4) has previously been opened unscheduled.
- the control device comprises a control contour 8, which prevents a collapse of the pawl 2 in the pre-locking position during a closing of the locking mechanism.
- the control contour 2 is attached to the rotary latch 1 and stands from it.
- the control contour 8 adjoins the region of the rotary latch 1, which serves for latching in the pre-latching position, that is to say encompasses the latching surface 5.
- the control contour 8 extends angularly in such a way that it during closing as Can serve as a guide or guide in order to reliably prevent the pawl 2 in a desired manner from falling during a closing in the position Vorrast.
- the control contour 8 controls in the embodiment shown indirectly the movement of the pawl 2. This is done via a control lever 9 which can be rotated about the axis 4.
- Control lever 9 and pawl 2 thus have a common axis 4.
- the control lever 9 controls, in cooperation with the cam or control contour 8, as shown in Figure 2, the movement of the pawl 2 such that it can not come into the pre-locking position during a closing.
- the control lever 9 also controls movements of a blocking lever 10, which is provided for blocking the pawl 2 in each locking position, as the figures 4 and 5 illustrate.
- the blocking lever 10 can be pivoted about its axis 11.
- a projecting from an arm of the blocking lever 10 cam or pin 12 is at least preferably at any time to the outer contour of the control lever 9 to avoid noise.
- the concern of the bolt 12 on the contour of the control lever is used to control desired movements of the blocking lever 10 in the course of closing and opening. In particular, this avoids that the blocking lever 10 can strike during closing on the pawl 2, as Figure 2 illustrates. This also prevents noise.
- the control lever 9 may also be part of an actuator, with the actuator, the lock can be opened according to plan.
- the control lever can also serve alone to rust in the position Vorrast.
- to provide the pawl for latching in the position Vorrast has the advantage that the Lock improves even very high forces can withstand how these can occur in a crash.
