Abstract

L'objet de l'invention est de réaliser un dispositif d'airbag qui se gonfle et se déploie plus rapidement et qui permette d'améliorer la performance d'immobilisation d'un passager. Pour ce faire, selon une configuration représentative de l'invention, un dispositif d'airbag (100) est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend : un coussin (104) sous la forme d'un sac et qui se gonfle et se déploie par alimentation en gaz ; une paroi de cloisonnement (120) qui cloisonne l'intérieur du coussin (104) en une pluralité de chambres (une chambre arrière (108) et une chambre avant (110)) ; et un moyen d'évent pouvant être fermé (des trous d'évent (122), des éléments de pièce (128) et des éléments d'accouplement) qui est disposé sur la paroi de cloisonnement (120), l'ouverture dudit moyen d'évent par un passager établissant un contact avec au moins l'une des chambres et faisant fléchir la paroi de cloisonnement (120).
