Abstract

 シールド層(71)には、アンテナ(80)の給電コイルによって生成される磁束が通過する開口(71a)が設けられている。シールド層(71)に比較して、アンテナ(80)が小さいため、開口(71a)は、シールド層(71)の大きさに比較してきわめて小さい。このため、上面カバーに形成された開口を介して、コンピュータの内部から外部へ向かうノイズとしての電磁波を十分に遮蔽することができる。また、通信を行う際にはアンテナ(80)とシールド層(71)が電磁的に結合し、シールド層(71)がアンテナとして機能する。このため、通信対象と良好に通信を行うことができる。

Description

インタフェースユニット及びコンピュータ
 本発明は、インタフェースユニット及びコンピュータに関する。
 インターネットに代表される通信ネットワークや暗号化技術の発達により、ネットワークを介した情報の送受信が活発化している。ネットワークを介した通信では、主として、パーソナルコンピュータが、ユーザからの情報の入力を受け付けるインタフェースとして用いられる。そこで、インタフェースとして用いられるコンピュータの利便性を向上させるための技術が種々提案されている(例えば特許文献1参照)。
 特許文献1に開示されたノートパソコンは、タッチパッドと一体化されたアンテナコイルを有している。このノートパソコンでは、アンテナコイルを用いて、NFC(Near Field Communication)規格に準拠した近距離無線通信を行う。このため、ICカードに登録された情報の送信や、電子マネーを用いた決済が簡単な操作で実行される。
 また、特許文献1に開示されたノートパソコンでは、アンテナがタッチパッドと一体化されている。このため、ノートパソコンの筐体が金属製であっても、タッチパッドを介して、良好にICカードに記録された情報を読み込むことができる。

 特許文献1に開示されたノートパソコンには、タッチパッドを通過するノイズとしての電磁波を遮蔽するための接地電極層が設けられている。この接地電極層は、近距離無線通信を実現するために、メッシュ状にパターニングされている。このため、ノートパソコンから外部に放射される電磁波や、外部からノートパソコンの内部に侵入する電磁波を十分に遮蔽することが困難であった。
 本発明は、上述の事情の下になされたもので、電磁波の十分な遮蔽を実現しつつ、外部機器と良好に近距離無線通信を行うことを目的とする。
 上記目的を達成するために、本発明の第1の観点に係るインタフェースユニットは、一側の面が入力面となる、静電容量方式のポインティングデバイスを有するインタフェースユニットであって、前記ポインティングデバイスの一組の電極と、前記一組の電極のいずれか一方の側に配置され、開口部が形成されたシールドと、前記シールドより小さく、前記シールドと電磁的に結合する給電コイルと、を備える。
 前記給電コイルは、コイル開口が、前記シールドに形成された前記開口部と重なるように配置されていてもよい。
 前記給電コイルは、前記シールドと完全に重なっていてもよい。
 前記シールドの開口部には、透磁性物質が充填されていてもよい。

 本発明の第2の観点にかかるコンピュータは、本発明の第1の観点にかかるインタフェースユニットと、前記インタフェースユニットを介して、外部機器と通信を行う通信部と、を備える。
 前記インタフェースユニットの前記入力面が露出する開口が形成された金属製の筐体を有していてもよい。
 前記筐体に形成された開口の外縁と、前記開口から露出した前記入力面の外縁との間には、予め定められた距離の間隙が設けられていてもよい。
 本発明は、開口部が形成されたシールドと、シールドよりも小さい給電コイルと、備えている。これによれば、給電コイルとシールドが電磁的に結合し協働することで、ポインティングデバイスの入力面側に位置する通信対象と良好に通信を行うことができる。また、給電コイルはシールドよりも小さい。このため、シールドに設ける開口部を小さくすることで、良好な通信を実現しつつ、電磁波を効果的に遮蔽することができる。

 以下、本発明の一実施形態を、図面を参照しつつ説明する。説明にあたっては、便宜上、相互に直交するX軸、Y軸、及びZ軸からなるXYZ座標系を用いる。
 図1は本実施形態に係るコンピュータ10の斜視図である。コンピュータ10は、筐体30aを有するベースユニット30と、ベースユニット30に取り付けられたディスプレイユニット20とを備えるノートパソコンである。
 ディスプレイユニット20は、長手方向がX軸方向である長方形状の液晶ディスプレイ20aと、当該液晶ディスプレイ20aが収容される金属製の筐体20bとを有している。このディスプレイユニット20は、ヒンジ20cを介して、ベースユニット30に取り付けられている。このため、ディスプレイユニット20は、ベースユニット30に対して起伏回動することができる。
 図2は、コンピュータ10を構成するベースユニット30の展開斜視図である。図2に示されるように、ベースユニット30は、筐体30aを構成するケース32及び上面カバー31と、キーユニット33と、インタフェースユニット50とを有している。
 上面カバー31は、長手方向がX軸方向である長方形状のカバーである。上面カバー31には、キーユニット33のキートップ33bが露出する開口31aと、インタフェースユニット50の上面が露出する開口31bとが設けられている。この上面カバー31の素材としては、アルミニウムやステンレス鋼板などの金属を用いることができる。
 ケース32は、長手方向がX軸方向であり、上方が開口した長方形状のケースである。このケース32の素材としては、上面カバー31と同様に、アルミニウムなどの金属を用いることができる。
 キーユニット33は、ベース33aと、ベース33aの上面(Z軸方向側の面)に配置された複数のキートップ33bを有している。ベース33aは、電気回路が形成された基板であり、表面にはキートップ33bが押下されることによって動作するスイッチが実装されている。このキーユニット33は、ケース32の内部で、水平に支持される。
 図3は、インタフェースユニット50の斜視図である。図3に示されるように、インタフェースユニット50は、下面にアンテナ80(図5参照)が実装された基板70、タッチパッド(ポインティングデバイス)60、及びキースイッチ81,82を有している。なお、図3において、タッチパッド60の上面(Z軸方向側の面)が、本発明における入力面を構成する。
 図4は、基板70の斜視図である。図4に示されるように、基板70は長手方向がX軸方向である。この基板70は、エポキシ樹脂からなる。この基板70の上面には、シールド層(シールド)71が形成されている。
 シールド層71は、タッチパッド60とほぼ同じ大きさに整形されている。そして、シールド層71の中央部ややY軸方向とは反対方向側には、ほぼ正方形状の開口(開口部)71aが形成されている。また、シールド層71には、開口71aから当該シールド層71の手前側(Y軸方向とは反対方向側)に向けて、シールド層71のY軸方向の外縁に沿って、スリット(開口部)71bが形成されている。開口71aは、アンテナ80によって生成される磁束を通過させるために設けられている。また、スリット71bは、開口71aを通る磁束により、開口71aの周りに生じる渦電流を抑制するために設けられている。このシールド層71は、基板70の上面に貼り付けられた銅箔をエッジングすることによって形成することができる。
 図5は、基板70の下面(Z軸方向側の面)を示す斜視図である。図5に示されるように、基板70の下面には、タッチパッド60と電気的に接続されるICチップ75と、アンテナ80とが実装されている。
 アンテナ80は、Z軸に平行な中心軸AXを有する給電コイル80aと、この給電コイル80aを被覆するフィルム80bとからなる。アンテナ80では、給電コイル80aの中心軸AXは、アンテナ80の中心C1と一致している。図6の平面図に示されるように、アンテナ80は、XY平面におけるアンテナ80の中心C1が、シールド層71に形成された開口71aの中心C2と一致した状態で、基板70に実装される。
 図7は、タッチパッド60の展開斜視図である。図7に示されるように、タッチパッド60は、上面カバー31の開口31b(図2参照)から露出する保護シート61、一組の電極シート(電極)62,63、及び絶縁シート64を有している。
 保護シート61は、長手方向がX軸方向である長方形状のシートである。この保護シート61は、例えばガラスあるいは、ガラス系のコーティング剤が塗布された樹脂からなる。
 絶縁シート64は、保護シート61と同じ形状に整形されたシートである。この絶縁シート64としては、プリプレグ等を用いることができる。
 図8は、タッチパッド60と基板70の断面を概略的に示す図である。電極シート62,63は、保護シート61と同じ形状に整形された樹脂フィルムである。図8に示されるように、電極シート62の下面には、長手方向がX軸方向である複数の電極パターン62aが、Y軸方向に沿って等間隔に設けられている。また、電極シート63の下面には、長手方向をY軸方向とする複数の電極パターン63aが、X軸方向に沿って等間隔に設けられている。
 保護シート61、電極シート62,63、絶縁シート64は、以下に示す手法によって、基板70と一体化される。すなわち、作業者は、上述した保護シート61、電極シート62,63、及び絶縁シート64を、図8に示されるように、基板70に形成されたシールド層71に重ねて順番に配置する。そして、作業者は、これら各シート61~64を、基板70とともにプレスすることで、各シート61~64、及び基板70を一体化する。これにより、基板70の上面に、静電容量方式のタッチパッド60が形成される。そして、作業者が、基板70の下面に、ICチップ75と、アンテナ80(図5参照)とを実装し、基板70の上面に、キースイッチ81,82(図3参照)を実装すると、図3に示されるインタフェースユニット50が完成する。
 図9に示されるように、タッチパッド60は、X軸方向に沿って等間隔に配列される電極パターン63aと、電極パターン63aとZ軸方向に対向し、Y軸方向に沿って等間隔に配列される電極パターン62aとからなる。電極パターン62a,63aは、給電コイル80a(図5参照)の開口径に比べて十分に細い。また、電極パターン62a,63aは、Z軸方向に対向にしているのでコンデンサとして機能する。そのため、電極パターン62a,63aは、直流に対しては相互に絶縁されているといえる。このため、電極パターン62a,63aに、磁界が作用することにより発生する渦電流は、異なる電極パターン相互間に渡って流れることはない。
 したがって、アンテナ80からの磁束は、電極パターン62a,63aに発生する渦電流の影響をあまり受けることなく、電極パターン62a相互間の隙間と、電極パターン63a相互間の隙間を介して、インタフェースユニット50の上方に位置する通信対象に至る。
 インタフェースユニット50では、電極シート62,63に形成された電極パターン62a,63a、及びキースイッチ81,82の接点がICチップ75に接続される。このため、タッチパッド60及びキースイッチ81,82がユーザによって操作されると、ICチップ75からは、操作内容に応じた信号が出力される。
 上述のように構成されるインタフェースユニット50では、アンテナ80の給電コイル80a(図5参照)に、電流が、図5における反時計回り方向に流れると、この電流による磁束が、図8の矢印AWに示されるように生じる。この磁束は、矢印AWに示されるように、樹脂製の基板70を通り抜けて、シールド層71に形成された開口71aを通過する。開口71aを磁束が通過すると、開口71aの周りに渦電流が発生する。図6に示されるように、シールド層71には、開口71aからシールド層71の外縁に沿ったスリット71bが形成されている。このため、開口71aの周りに発生した渦電流は、縁端効果によって、図6の仮想線に示されるように、開口71aの外縁と、シールド層71の外縁に沿って流れる。
 開口71aの外縁を流れる渦電流は、アンテナ80によって形成される磁束を打ち消す方向、すなわちアンテナ80を構成する給電コイル80aを流れる電流と反対の方向に流れる。一方、シールド層71の外縁を流れる渦電流は、給電コイル80aを流れる電流と同じ方向に流れる。このため、開口71aの外縁を流れる渦電流の影響はあるが、シールド層71の外縁を流れる渦電流と、給電コイル80aに流れる電流の相互作用により、シールド層71が、当該シールド層71と同じ大きさのアンテナと同等に機能する。このため、インタフェースユニット50では、本来ノイズとしての電磁波を遮蔽するシールド層71が、通信対象に対向していたとしても、当該通信対象に情報を送信することが可能となる。
 また、シールド層71が、通信対象によって生成された磁界を受けると、同様にシールド層71の外縁に沿って渦電流が流れるとともに、通信対象からの磁束が開口71aを経て、アンテナ80を構成する給電コイル80aの開口部(コイル開口)を通過する。この場合には、シールド層71の外縁に沿って流れる渦電流により、給電コイル80aの開口部を通過する磁束が強められる。このため、インタフェースユニット50では、ノイズとしての電磁波を遮蔽するシールド層71が、通信対象に対向していたとしても、当該通信対象からの情報を受信することが可能となる。なお、上記技術については、特許第4941600号公報に詳細に開示される。
 図2を参照するとわかるように、作業者は、上述したインタフェースユニット50を、キーユニット33とともに、ケース32の内部に配置する。そして、作業者は、ケース32に上面カバーを取り付けることで、コンピュータ10のベースユニット30を組み立てることができる。ケース32と上面カバー31からなる筐体に収容されたインタフェースユニット50は、図1に示されるように、タッチパッド60の保護シート61と、キースイッチ81,82とが、上面カバー31の開口31bから露出した状態になる。
 図10は、コンピュータ10の制御系90を示すブロック図である。制御系90は、CPU(Central Processing Unit;通信部)91と、主記憶部92と、補助記憶部93と、を有する。CPU(Central Processing Unit)91、主記憶部92、及び補助記憶部93は、ベースユニット30に収容されたマザーボードに実装されている。
 さらに、制御系90は、ディスプレイユニット20と、キーユニット33と、インタフェースユニット50と、上記各部を接続するバス97と、を有している。
 主記憶部92は、RAM(Random Access Memory)等を含んで構成され、CPU91の作業領域として用いられる。
 補助記憶部93は、ROM(Read Only Memory)、半導体メモリなどの不揮発性メモリを有している。この補助記憶部93は、CPU91が実行するプログラム、近距離無線通信を行うためのパラメータをはじめとする各種パラメータなどを記憶している。
 ディスプレイユニット20は、CPU91による処理結果や、ユーザが要求する情報を表示する。
 キーユニット33は、ユーザの操作に応じた信号を、バス97を介してCPU91へ出力する。
 インタフェースユニット50は、上述したように、ユーザの操作内容に応じた信号を、バス97を介してCPU91へ出力する。
 CPU91は、ユーザからの指令に基づいて、補助記憶部93に記憶されているプログラムを読み出す。そして、キーユニット33やインタフェースユニット50を介して入力される指示に応じた処理を実行する。
 次に、コンピュータ10を用いて近距離通信(NFC)を行うときの手順について説明する。コンピュータ10を使って近距離通信を行う場合には、ユーザは、まず、予めインストールされている、通信に必要なアプリケーションを、コンピュータ10に起動させる。これにより、インタフェースユニット50を構成するアンテナ80の給電コイル80aに、送信する情報に基づいて変調された電流が供給される。これにより、アンテナ80と、このアンテナ80のブースタ電極として作用するシールド層71を介して、所定の情報が発信される。
 この状態のときに、例えば図11に示されるように、インタフェースユニット50にICカードなどの通信対象(外部機器)120がかざされると、コンピュータ10と通信対象120との通信が行われる。
 通信対象120に情報が送信されるときには、アンテナ80から発生した磁束は、図11の矢印AWに示されるように、通信対象120を貫く。通信対象120は、当該磁束によって誘導される電流を復調することで、コンピュータ10から送信された情報を受信する。また、インタフェースユニット50が、通信対象120から情報を受信する際には、通信対象120によって生成された磁束が、インタフェースユニット50を貫く。この場合には、インタフェースユニット50を構成する基板70のシールド層71の外縁に、図6の仮想線で示される渦電流が発生する。そして、この渦電流によって強められた磁束が、アンテナ80を構成する給電コイル80aの開口部を通過する。これにより、給電コイル80aには、通信対象120から送信された情報に基づいて変調された電流が誘導される。CPU91は、給電コイル80aに誘導された電流を復調することにより、通信対象120から送信された情報を受け付ける。
 以上説明したように、本実施形態では、タッチパッド60が載置される基板70に、タッチパッド60とほぼ同じ大きさのシールド層71が形成される。このシールド層71には、アンテナ80の給電コイル80aによって生成される磁束が通過する開口71aが設けられている。本実施形態では、シールド層71に比較して、給電コイル80aが小さいため、開口71aは、シールド層71の大きさに比較してきわめて小さい。このため、上面カバー31に形成された開口31aを介して、コンピュータ10の内部から外部へ向かうノイズとしての電磁波を十分に遮蔽することができる。
 また、アンテナ80を用いて近距離通信を行う際に、アンテナ80の給電コイル80aに電流が流れると、アンテナ80から発生した磁束が、シールド層71の開口71aを通過する。これにより、アンテナ80とシールド層71が電磁的に結合し、シールド層71が、情報を発信するためのアンテナとして機能する。また、コンピュータ10のインタフェースユニット50に、通信対象120からの磁束が到達すると、図6の仮想線に示されるようにシールド層71の外縁に沿って流れる渦電流によって強められた磁束が、アンテナ80を構成する給電コイル80aの開口部を通過する。これにより、アンテナ80とシールド層71が電磁的に結合し、シールド層71が情報を受信するためのアンテナとして機能する。このため、コンピュータ10を所持するユーザは、通信対象120と、良好に通信を行うことが可能となる。
 以上のように、本実施形態では、タッチパッド60を通過しようとするノイズとしての電磁波を効率よく遮蔽するとともに、タッチパッド60の上方に位置する通信対象120と、良好に通信を行うことが可能となる。
 本実施形態では、基板70に形成されたシールド層71は、開口71aとスリット71bが形成されてはいるが、大部分は、均一な厚みの薄膜として構成されている。たとえば、シールド層71として、薄い金属板を用いることができる。
 このため、タッチパッド60の下方にアンテナ80などが配置されることに起因して、タッチパッド60を構成する電極パターン62aと電極パターン63aとの間の浮遊容量が変化することがなくなる。これにより、アンテナ80を配置する位置が限定されることがなくなるため、アンテナ設計の自由度が向上する。また、ユーザがアンテナ80のインダクタンスを調整するために、当該アンテナ80に磁性体シートを貼り付けたとしても、タッチパッド60の動作に影響を与えることがない。
 以上のように、本実施形態では、タッチパッド60を構成する電極パターン62aと電極パターン63aとの間の浮遊容量が変化することがなくなるため、タッチパッド60の安定した動作が期待できる。
 本実施形態では、上面カバー31は、金属からなる。このため、タッチパッド60の電極シート62,63と上面カバー31の間には、クリアランスを設けるのが好ましい。このクリアランスを設けるために、本実施形態では、上面カバー31の下面から、電極シート62,63が下方に離間するように、インタフェースユニット50が位置決めされる。しかしながら、これに限らず、図12に示されるように、上面カバー31に形成された開口31bの縁から、タッチパッド60の外縁が水平方向に離間するように、開口31bを整形することとしてもよい。
 本実施形態では、アンテナ80の給電コイル80aに電流が流れると、シールド層71の端部に流れる渦電流と、給電コイル80aに流れる電流の相互作用により、シールド層71が、当該シールド層71と同じ大きさのアンテナと同等に機能する。このため、アンテナ80を小型化したとしても、ある程度の大きさの有効通信領域を確保することができる。
 本実施形態では、コンピュータ10を所持するユーザは、タッチパッド60を介して、通信対象120と通信を行うことができる。このため、コンピュータ10の筐体20bとして、アルミニウムやステンレスなどの金属材料を用いることができる。これにより、コンピュータ10の設計の自由度が向上する。
 以上、本発明の実施形態について説明したが、本発明は上記実施形態によって限定されるものではない。例えば、上記実施形態では、図8に示されるように、基板70とタッチパッド60の間にのみ、シールド層71が形成されている場合について説明した。これに限らず、シールド層71は、図13に示されるように、基板70の上面全域に形成されていてもよい。この場合には、開口71a及びスリット71bを、タッチパッド60と重ならないように設けることができる。これにより、タッチパッド60を構成する電極パターン62a,63a相互間の浮遊容量をタッチパッド全域で均一にすることができる。したがって、タッチパッド60の動作精度を向上させることができる。
 上記実施形態では、インタフェースユニット50が、中心軸AXがZ軸に平行な給電コイル80aを有するアンテナ80を備える場合について説明した。これに限らず、インタフェースユニット50のアンテナとして、例えば中心軸AXがX軸に平行な給電コイルを有するチップアンテナ85を用いてもよい。この場合には、例えば図14に示されるように、基板70のシールド層71に、Y軸に平行なスリット71bと、X軸に平行なスリット71cを形成し、チップアンテナ85を、スリット71bよりもX軸方向とは反対側に配置することが考えられる。
 上記実施形態では、インタフェースユニット50を構成する基板70に、シールド層71が形成されている場合について説明した。これに限らず、インタフェースユニット50は、シールド層71と同等に機能するシールド板72を有していてもよい。図15は、シールド板72の一例を示す図である。シールド板72は、アルミニウム、亜鉛メッキ鋼板、或いはステンレス鋼板などの金属を素材とする部材である。このシールド板72には、シールド層71と同様に、開口72aとスリット72bとが形成されている。図15を参照するとわかるように、シールド板72の上面に、タッチパッド60が取り付けられ、シールド板72の下面に、アンテナ80が取り付けられる。
 上記実施形態では、図5に示されるように、アンテナ80が基板70の下面(Z軸方向とは反対側の面)に実装されている。これに限らず、図16に示されるように、アンテナ80は、基板70に形成されたシールド層71の上面に実装されていてもよい。
 上記実施形態では、インタフェースユニット50が、ノートパソコンに設けられている場合について説明した。これに限らず、インタフェースユニット50は、タッチパッドなどのコンピュータや、通信装置などに設けられていてもよい。
 上記実施形態では、図4に示されるように、シールド層71に開口71aとスリット71bが開口部として形成されている場合について説明した。これに限らず、図17に示されるように、シールド層71に、スリット71bのみが開口部として形成されていてもよい。また、図18に示されるように、シールド層71に、アンテナ80よりもX軸方向の幅が小さい切り欠き71dが、開口部として形成されていてもよい。
 要するに、アンテナ80を構成する給電コイル80aのコイル開口の少なくとも一部が、シールド層71に重ならないように、シールド層71に開口部が形成されていればよい。また、開口71a、スリット71b,71c、切り欠き71dには、樹脂などの透磁性を有する物質が充填されていてもよい。
 上記実施形態では、図5に示されるように、アンテナ80が基板70の下面に実装されている場合について説明した。これに限らず、基板70の下面に給電コイル80aと同等の導体パターンを形成し、当該導体パターンをアンテナの給電コイルとして機能させることとしてもよい。
 上記実施形態では、コンピュータ10と通信対象120とが通信する場合について説明した。これに限らず、コンピュータ10は、スマートホン、タブレット端末などの通信端末と通信することとしてもよい。
 上記実施形態において制御系90の補助記憶部93に記憶されているプログラムは、コンピュータで読み取り可能な記録媒体に格納して配布されてもよい。このプログラムが補助記憶部93にアップロードされることにより、上述の近距離通信を実行する制御系が構成される。
 また、プログラムはインターネット等の通信ネットワーク上の所定のサーバ装置が有するディスク装置等に格納されてもよい。こうすれば、ディスク装置等に格納されたプログラムが、例えば、搬送波に重畳されて、補助記憶部93にダウンロードされる。
 本発明は、本発明の広義の精神と範囲を逸脱することなく、様々な実施形態及び変形が可能とされるものである。また、上述した実施形態は、本発明を説明するためのものであり、本発明の範囲を限定するものではない。
 本発明は、2012年12月21日に出願された、日本国特許出願2012-280323号に基づく。本明細書中に日本国特許出願2012-280323号の明細書、特許請求の範囲、図面全体を参照として取り込むものとする。
 本発明のインタフェースユニット及びプログラムは、外部機器に対する情報の送受信に適している。また、本発明のインタフェースユニット及びプログラムは、外部機器との通信に適している。

Claims (18)

  1.  一側の面が入力面となる、静電容量方式のポインティングデバイスを有するインタフェースユニットであって、
     前記ポインティングデバイスの一組の電極と、
     前記一組の電極のいずれか一方の側に配置され、開口部が形成されたシールドと、
     前記シールドより小さく、前記シールドと電磁的に結合する給電コイルと、
     を備えるインタフェースユニット。
  2.  前記給電コイルは、コイル開口が、前記シールドに形成された前記開口部と重なるように配置される請求項1に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  3.  前記給電コイルは、前記シールドと完全に重なっている請求項1又は2に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  4.  前記シールドの開口部には、透磁性物質が充填されている請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  5.  前記シールドの開口部は、前記シールドに形成された開口と、前記開口から前記シールドの外縁に渡って形成されたスリットと、を含む請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  6.  前記シールドの開口部は、前記シールドに形成されたスリットである請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  7.  前記シールドは、前記電極が形成される基板に形成された導体パターンである請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  8.  前記基板の、前記導体パターンが形成された面とは反対の面に、前記給電コイルが形成されている請求項7に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  9.  前記シールドは、金属板である請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  10.  前記シールドは、上面及び下面を有しており、
     前記給電コイルは、前記上面の側に配置される請求項1乃至7、及び、請求項9のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  11.  前記給電コイルは、前記電極と前記シールドとの間に位置する請求項1乃至7、及び、請求項9のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  12.  前記電極が形成され、且つ、上面及び下面を有する基板を備え、
     前記基板の上面には、前記電極及び前記シールドが設けられており、
     前記基板の下面には、前記給電コイルが設けられており、
     前記シールドは、前記基板の上面の全域に渡って形成されている請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  13.  前記給電コイルは、チップアンテナを構成する請求項1乃至12のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  14.  前記ポインティングデバイスは、タッチパッドである請求項1乃至13のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  15.  前記開口部は、前記入力面と重ならない位置に形成されている請求項1乃至14のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニット。
  16.  請求項1乃至15のいずれか一項に記載のインタフェースユニットと、
     前記インタフェースユニットを介して、外部機器と通信を行う通信部と、
     を備えるコンピュータ。
  17.  前記インタフェースユニットの前記入力面が露出する開口が形成された金属製の筐体を有する請求項16に記載のコンピュータ。
  18.  前記筐体に形成された開口の外縁と、前記開口から露出した前記入力面の外縁との間には、予め定められた距離の間隙が設けられている請求項17に記載のコンピュータ。
