- halogen simple substance other than iodine and water are collected in the collection tank 2b in which the liquid is accommodated.
- the second step at least one of temperature and pressure is higher than that in the first step, so that water and halogen alone can be mainly removed from the coarsely dried product. Since the crude dried product is dried by heating at a sufficient temperature and pressure, the halohydantoin compound can be made a more stable dried product. Moreover, since the organic solvent is removed from the coarsely dried product in the second step, the accelerated decomposition of the halohydantoin compound can be suppressed even when heated and dried at a high temperature. Therefore, it is possible to produce a halohydantoin compound with high purity and little coloration.
