Definitions
- the present invention relates to a trunk orthosis that can reduce the burden on the lower back without fixing the trunk and prevent back pain.
- corsets intended to fix the trunk and pelvis are widely used. This type of corset is attached to the pelvis to press the waist and stabilize the waist by increasing abdominal pressure.
- the corset does not have the effect of reducing the load applied to the lumbar region, and also has the demerit of narrowing the range of motion of the lumbar region and weakening the function of the abdominal muscles because it fixes the trunk.
- the trunk orthosis includes an upper support 50 that contacts the trunk and a lumbar support 51 that is fixed to the waist, and the upper support 50 includes a pair of left and right support columns 52 (front side). Are connected to the left and right side portions of the lumbar support 51 via a side), and a joint device 53 is provided at each connection portion.
- the joint device 53 includes a rotating shaft 54 for rotating the support column 52 about a horizontal axis, and an upper support 50 that is biased in the direction of arrow A by a spring and is in contact with the upper support 50. And a biasing mechanism that acts to cause the body.
- the lumbar support 51 is configured to be fixed so as to wrap around the lumbar region, so that the sitting posture and walking are performed over a long period of time or while these are repeated. There is a possibility that the mounting position may be shifted, and since the joint portion provided with the urging mechanism protrudes from the side surface of the waist support 51, there is a problem that if the hand is shaken back and forth during walking, the joint portion comes into contact. There was room for improvement in practical use.
- the present invention has been made in consideration of the problems in the conventional trunk orthosis as described above, and can be worn for a long time without restricting various body movements, reducing the burden on the waist and lower back pain. It is intended to provide a trunk orthosis that can prevent the above.
- the present invention is a pair of waist attachment members fixed to both sides of the waist, It is composed of a chest pressing member erected on each waist mounting member,
- the chest pressing member is an arched arm that is pivotally supported by pivots provided on both side surfaces of the waist attachment member, and can swing.
- a chest pressing body provided at the upper end of the arm;
- a trunk orthosis comprising a pressing force applying part that is provided at an intermediate part of the arm and applies a pressing force for pressing the chest pressing body against the chest.
- the middle part of the arm corresponds to the space between the upper anterior iliac spine and the lower sternum when the appliance is worn.
- the pressing force applying portion can be constituted by an urging spring portion and a link mechanism that converts a urging force in a linear direction generated by the urging spring portion into a force in an arm rotation direction.
- an operation lever for switching the biasing spring portion between a biased state and a depressurized state is provided.
- the link mechanism is configured to slightly rotate the waist attaching member forward and downward about the pivot.
- the waist attachment member preferably has a pair of fixing pads for gripping the pelvis from both sides thereof.
- the waist attachment member can be configured to be fixed to the waist by tightening belts disposed on the abdomen and the back.
- the trunk orthosis of the present invention can be worn for a long time without hindering various body movements, reducing the burden on the waist and preventing back pain.
- FIG. 1 It is a perspective view which shows the whole structure of the trunk orthosis which concerns on this invention.
