Abstract
Description
本発明の実施の形態は、ペット用吸収性シートおよびその製造方法に関する。
本実施の形態における「ペット」は、脊椎動物(哺乳類、爬虫類、鳥類、両性類)や無脊椎動物を広く包含するが、典型的には、猫、犬、ウサギ、ハムスターなどといった愛玩動物がこれに該当する。
上記を踏まえつつ、本発明の第1実施例につき、図1~図6を参照しつつ以下に詳細に説明する。
本発明の第1実施例にかかるペット用吸収性シート100の全体構成が、図1に斜視図として示され、また図1におけるI-I線での当該ペット用吸収性シート100の断面構造が図2に模式的に示される。ペット用吸収性シート100は、表面シート110と、載置面Fに載置される裏面シート130と、表面シート110および裏面シート130の間に設けられる吸収体150を主体として構成される。表面シート110は、本発明における「表面シート」に対応する構成の一例である。裏面シート130は、本発明における「裏面シート」に対応する構成の一例である。吸収体150は、本発明における「吸収体」に対応する構成の一例である。
具体的には、60gsmのパルプ層の上層側に、ボルテックス法で3.4秒の高吸水性ポリマー層9gを均一に散布配置した吸収体を準備するとともに、これを上記実施例に従い、熱溶着性接着剤で固定したサンプルと、当該吸収体にエンボス加工処理を施した比較サンプルを準備する。なお比較サンプルにおけるエンボス加工処理は、吸収体の上層部側において、幅1.5ミリメートルの格子状のエンボス加工処理を行い、一片の長さが10ミリメートルの矩形の非圧縮領域と、幅1.5ミリメートルの圧縮領域とが交互かつ連続状に多数形成されたエンボス加工処理領域を形成している。
具体的には、ペット用吸収性シートの液体拡散性は、以下の方法で算出した液体拡散面積を用いて判断する。
(1)まず、対象となるペット用吸収性シート100のうち、折り目の部分を除く測定箇所に、外径66.6mm、内径60.2mm、高さ53mmの塩ビ管を配置する。
(2)次に、40cc/6秒のビュレットを用いて、ペット用吸収性シート100の10mm上方から、上記塩ビ管中央に、0.9%生理食塩水40ccを、6秒で滴下する。
(3)次に、滴下してから5分経過して時点で、生理食塩水の所定の第1方向に関する生理食塩水の拡散長、および当該第1方向と交差する第2方向の拡散長をそれぞれ測定する。なお本実施例においては、この第1方向は、ペット用吸収性シート100を製造する際の製造装置における給送方向としてのMD方向(Machine Direction)として規定され、第2方向は、このMD方向と交差するCD方向(Cross Direction)として規定される。
(4)次に、測定した第1方向拡散長および第2方向拡散長につき、以下の計算式を用いて液体拡散面積(cm2)を算出する。
[(第1方向拡散長/2)×(第2方向拡散長/2)×3.14]
次に本発明の第2実施例につき、図7を参照しつつ説明する。第2実施例は、上記した第1実施例に係るペット用吸収性シート100における吸収体150の配置態様の変更に係り、他の部材の構成に関しては第1実施例と同等とされている。
第2実施例では、吸収体250の吸収層270として、吸収第1層を構成するパルプ層271と、当該パルプ層271内に設けられて吸収第2層を構成する高吸水性ポリマー層272とを有する。換言すれば、吸収第1層であるパルプ層271によって、吸収第2層である高吸水性ポリマー層272を挟みこんだ構成とされている。そして図7におけるパルプ層271の表面および裏面を、それぞれホットメルト接着剤180を介して表面側ティッシュ層261および裏面側ティッシュ層263に接合することにより、吸収体150を形成するものである。
ペット用吸収性シート100は、本発明における「ペット用吸収性シート」に対応する構成の一例である。表面シート110は、本発明における「表面シート」に対応する構成の一例である。裏面シート130は、本発明における「裏面シート」に対応する構成の一例である。吸収体150は、本発明における「吸収体」に対応する構成の一例である。主吸収領域151は、本発明における「主吸収領域」に対応する構成の一例である。表面側ティッシュ層161は、本発明における「表面側被覆シート」に対応する構成の一例である。裏面側ティッシュ層163は、本発明における「裏面側被覆シート」に対応する構成の一例である。吸収層170は、本発明における「吸収層」に対応する構成の一例である。パルプ層171は、本発明における「パルプ材」ないし「吸収第1層」に対応する構成の一例である。高吸水性ポリマー層172は、本発明における「吸収第2層」に対応する構成の一例である。ホットメルト接着剤180は、本発明における「接着剤」ないし「熱溶着性接着剤」に対応する構成の一例である。積層体190は、本発明における「積層体」に対応する構成の一例である。加圧部195は、本発明における「加圧部」に対応する構成の一例である。加圧ローラ197は、本発明における「加圧ローラ」に対応する構成の一例である。
