第二作動部がその押圧ブロックと成形ブロックを上,下に開き側面又は正面から供給される前記線材を咥えて保持しているとき、第一作動部の昇降ブロックが、穿孔刃と一緒に第二作動部の押圧ブロックと脚部成形ブロックに沿って降下することにより、咥えられた線材の両側部を脚部成形ブロックの両外側に押付けて曲げ、当該線材を脚部を有するステッチに成形すると共に、当該昇降ブロックをさらに降下させて穿孔刃に用紙を穿孔させる、
前記穿孔刃によって用紙が穿孔されたら、当該穿孔刃の先端を前記穿孔の近傍乃至上位に位置付ける一方、左右に脚部が成形されたステッチを咥えた第二作動部を降下させる、
咥えたステッチの脚部が前記穿孔に入ったとき、第二作動部の脚部成形ブロックを兼ねた受台を待避側に後退させる一方、押圧ブロックだけをそのまま降下させて用紙の穿孔に対し前記ステッチを押込む、
ステッチの両脚部が用紙の穿孔に押込まれたら、当該脚部を用紙裏面に配置された脚部曲げ機構によって用紙側に折曲げるようにした、
ことを特徴とするものである。
図1において、Xは、複数枚の用紙Pを紙製ステッチで綴じる本発明綴じ装置の一例を模式的に表わしており、図示した例では用紙Pを水平姿勢に支持する水平な支持台Eと、該支持台Eに対し略垂直方向に動作可能な第一作動部1と、同支持台Eに対し略垂直方向にかつ第一作動部1とは独立に動作可能な第二作動部2を備えてなり、これらはたとえば機械構造用の金属材や合成樹脂材などの適宜素材により構成されている。
以上により、非金属製線材Wからなる紙製ステッチSを用いて用紙Pを綴じる動作自体を、完了する。
しかし、本発明では第一作動部1の降下で脚部We1,We2を成形し、穿孔刃H1,H2を形成したら、第二作動部2の押圧ブロック21を降下させて、第一作動部の穿孔刃11K,12Kの溝状ガイド11Kg,12Kgに、ステッチSを保持させて穿孔刃11K,12Kとこの刃11K,12Kの溝状ガイド11Kg,12Kgに入った状態のステッチSの脚部We1,We2を一緒に用紙Pの穿孔H1,H2に進入させる態様をとることもできる(図10参照)。
すなわち、本発明は、必要な長に切断されてから第二作動部に供給される紙製線材を第一作動部の動作で両脚を有するステッチに成形しながら当該両脚用の挿通孔を用紙に先に穿孔し、その孔に成形したステッチの両脚部を第二作動部の動作で挿入するようにしたから、ステッチの両脚がその挿通孔に確実に挿入される。これにより用紙に紙製ステッチを完全に押込み、押込まれたステッチの脚部を折曲げて接着固定することが可能になる。また、第一作動部の開放された連接部から紙製線材の第二作動部への供給を容易かつ確実に行うことができるので、紙製ステッチであっても、金属製ステッチの綴じ動作に遜色ない確実かつ正確な綴じ動作を実現できるし、綴じ機構を至って簡潔な構造にすることができる。従って、本発明は紙製ステッチを用いた用紙の綴じ装置及び綴じ方法に適用して有用である。

Claims (12)
- 用紙を下から支持する用紙支持台と、該支持台に対し垂直方向に昇降する第一作動部と、前記支持台に対し第一作動部と同方向に独立して昇降する第二作動部を備えた用紙の綴じ装置において、
第一作動部は、左右で互に離隔配置され一緒に昇降する左右一組の昇降ブロックを具備し、
左右の昇降ブロックは、その対向面に平面視断面略半円形状で直線状のガイド溝を有すると共に、当該ブロックの下端部から下方へ向いた連接部を介して前記ガイド溝と同軸上でガイド溝と同じ断面の溝状ガイドを有する先端を尖鋭に形成した穿孔刃を備え、かつ、前記連接部は、前面側が開放されていて前記昇降ブロックと穿孔刃とを一体に接続する役割を有し、
第二作動部は、前記昇降ブロックと連接部を介した穿孔刃に挟まれて配置され、当該作動部の側面側又は正面側から前記連接部の開放部位を通って供給される紙製ステッチ用の線材を上下から挟む態様で咥える上位の押圧ブロックと、下位の受台を兼用したステッチ脚部の成形ブロックとを具備しており、
前記第二作動部がその押圧ブロックと成形ブロックを上,下に開き側面又は正面から供給される前記線材を咥えて保持しているとき、第一作動部の昇降ブロックが、穿孔刃と一緒に第二作動部の押圧ブロックと脚部成形ブロックに沿って降下することにより、咥えられた線材の両側部を脚部成形ブロックの両外側に押付けて曲げ、当該線材を脚部を有するステッチに成形すると共に、当該昇降ブロックをさらに降下させて穿孔刃に用紙を穿孔させる、
前記穿孔刃によって用紙が穿孔されたら、当該穿孔刃の先端を前記穿孔の近傍乃至上位に位置付ける一方、左右に脚部が成形されたステッチを咥えた第二作動部を降下させる、
咥えたステッチの脚部が穿孔刃の溝状ガイドを経由して前記穿孔に入ったとき、第二作動部の脚部成形ブロックを兼ねた受台を待避側に後退させる一方、押圧ブロックだけをそのまま降下させて用紙の穿孔に対し前記ステッチを押込む、
ステッチの両脚部が用紙の穿孔に押込まれたら、当該脚部を用紙裏面に配置された脚部曲げ機構によって用紙側に折曲げるようにした、
ことを特徴とする綴じ装置。 - 用紙を下から支持する用紙支持台と、該支持台に対し垂直方向に昇降する第一作動部と、前記支持台に対し第一作動部と同方向に独立して昇降する第二作動部を備えた用紙の綴じ装置において、
第一作動部は、左右で互に離隔配置され一緒に昇降する左右一組の昇降ブロックを具備し、
左右の昇降ブロックは、その対向面に平面視断面略半円形状で直線状のガイド溝を有すると共に、当該ブロックの下端部から下方へ向いた連接部を介して前記ガイド溝と同軸上でガイド溝と同じ断面の溝状ガイドを有する先端を尖鋭に形成した穿孔刃を備え、かつ、前記連接部は、前面側が開放されていて前記昇降ブロックと穿孔刃とを一体に接続する役割を有しており、
第二作動部は、前記昇降ブロックと連接部を介した穿孔刃に挟まれて配置され、当該作動部の側面側又は正面側から前記連接部の開放部位を通って供給される紙製ステッチ用の線材を上下から挟む態様で咥える上位の押圧ブロックと、下位の受台を兼用したステッチ脚部の成形ブロックとを具備し、
前記第二作動部がその押圧ブロックと成形ブロックを上,下に開き側面又は正面から供給される前記線材を咥えて保持しているとき、第一作動部の昇降ブロックが、穿孔刃と一緒に第二作動部の押圧ブロックと脚部成形ブロックに沿って降下することにより、咥えられた線材の両側部を脚部の成形ブロックの両外側に押付けて曲げ、当該線材を脚部を有するステッチに成形すると共に、当該昇降ブロックがさらに降下して穿孔刃が用紙を穿孔する、
前記穿孔刃によって用紙が穿孔されたら、当該穿孔刃の先端を前記穿孔の近傍に位置付けて昇降ブロックの動作を止めると同時に、左右に脚部が成形されたステッチを咥えている第二作動部を降下させる、
前記第二作動部が降下して咥えているステッチの脚部の全部が前記穿孔刃の溝状ガイドに収嵌されたら、第二作動部の脚部成形ブロックを兼ねた受台を待避側に後退させ、押圧ブロックと穿孔刃を一緒に降下させて用紙の穿孔にステッチを押し込む、
ステッチの両脚部が用紙の穿孔に押し込まれたら、穿孔刃を上昇させる一方、前記ステッチ脚部を用紙裏面に配置された脚部曲げ機構によって用紙側に折曲げるようにした、
ことを特徴とする綴じ装置。 - 用紙の支持台は超音波振動手段を備えており、紙製ステッチに塗布ないし含浸された接着剤を超音波振動により硬化させ、ステッチ脚部を用紙に又は脚部同士で接着するようにした請求項1又は2に記載の綴じ装置。
- 用紙の前記支持台は、前記超音波振動手段と併用して、又は、単独で、前記紙製ステッチに塗布又は含浸された熱硬化性接着剤を硬化させるヒーターを組み込んだ請求項1又は2に記載の綴じ装置。
- ステッチ脚部の曲げ機構は、ステッチの両先端部を折曲して用紙に圧着させる左右一対の圧着ブロックにより構成し、該圧着ブロックは、ステッチ両先端の脚部を折曲するための左右スライド動作と、脚部を用紙に接着又は脚部同士を接着するための上下動作をそれぞれ独立して行うように構成した請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の綴じ装置。
- 折曲と接着を左右スライドの一動作で行うようにした請求項5に記載の綴じ装置。
- ステッチ脚部の曲げ機構は、支持台の下面側に組み込まれた一対のステッチ圧着体により形成し、当該圧着体をステッチ脚部の折曲げ方向に回転させることにより、ステッチ両脚部を折曲して用紙に接着するか又は脚部同士を接着するようにした請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の綴じ装置。
- ステッチ脚部の曲げ機構を構成する圧着ブロック又はステッチ圧着体は、超音波振動するか又は超音波振動が伝達されるようにした請求項5~7のいずれか一項に記載の綴じ装置。
- 圧着ブロック又はステッチ圧着体には、紙製ステッチに塗布又は含浸させた熱硬貨性接着剤を硬化させるヒーターを組込んだ請求項5~8のいずれか一項に記載の綴じ装置。
- 昇降ブロックの各対向面側に設けたガイド溝は下端部にアールを形成した請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の綴じ装置。
- 昇降ブロックが一体に備えた穿孔刃によって紙製ステッチの挿通孔を用紙に穿孔してから、両端部が折り曲げられて下向き略コ字状に挿込脚を形成した紙製ステッチを、前記用紙のステッチ挿通孔に押し込み、前記用紙から突出した挿込脚を互いに内側に折り曲げ、挿込脚同士を接着するか又は挿込脚を用紙に接着することを特徴とする用紙の綴じ方法。
- 紙製ステッチは、バルカナイズファイバー紙又は生分解プラスチックからなる線材、若しくは和紙を撚った紙縒り材によって形成したものである請求項11に記載の綴じ方法。
