本開示の第1の実施形態による無線通信装置20は、
A.非接触通信を行う非接触通信部(NFCアンテナ24、NFCインタフェース240)と、
B.無線通信を行う無線通信部(無線アンテナ22、無線LANインタフェース220)と、
C.前記非接触通信部により他の通信装置が検出された場合、前記無線通信部の第1の通信モードの起動開始、および、前記非接触通信部と前記他の通信装置との前記無線通信のための接続処理を制御する制御部(280)と、
を備える通信装置である。
図1は、本開示の第1の実施形態による無線通信システムの構成を示した説明図である。図1に示したように、本開示の第1の実施形態による無線通信システムは、複数の無線通信装置20を備える。
ところで、一般的な無線通信装置は、ダイレクト通信モードの起動完了後に、他の無線通信装置とダイレクト通信モードによる通信のための接続処理を開始する。なお、接続処理としては、Device DiscoveryやFormationなどが挙げられる。このため、ダイレクト通信モードを起動していない無線通信装置が他の無線通信装置とダイレクト通信モードでの接続を確立するまでの時間は長くなる傾向にある。以下、この点について図2を参照してより具体的に説明する。
図3は、第1の実施形態による無線通信装置20の構成を示した機能ブロック図である。図3に示したように、第1の実施形態による無線通信装置20は、無線アンテナ22と、NFCアンテナ24と、無線LANインタフェース220と、NFCインタフェース240と、操作部250と、表示部260と、メモリ270と、制御部280と、を備える。
(システムの全体動作)
図4は、第1の実施形態による無線通信システムの動作を示した説明図である。図4に示したように、無線通信装置20Aは、ダイレクト通信モードがオフである時にNFC通信を用いたDevice Discoveryにより無線通信装置20Bが検出されると(S304)、無線LANインタフェース220をダイレクト通信モードで起動させる。無線通信装置20Bも同様に、無線通信装置20Aが検出されると、無線LANインタフェース220をダイレクト通信モードで起動させる。
図7は、Formationの第1の実行例を示した説明図である。図7に示したように、無線通信装置20Aのダイレクト通信モードが起動中である場合、無線通信装置20AがNFCによりGO_Negotiation_Requestを送信し(S312)、無線通信装置20BがNFCによりGO_Negotiation_Responseを送信し(S314)、無線通信装置20AがNFCによりGO_Negotiation_Confirmationを送信することにより(S316)、GO_Negotiationが行われる。
図8は、Formationの第2の実行例を示した説明図である。図8に示したように、無線通信装置20Aのダイレクト通信モードが起動中である場合、無線通信装置20AがNFCによりGO_Negotiation_Requestを送信する(S322)。
続いて、無線通信装置20BがGO_Negotiation_Responseを送信する。ここで、図8に示した例では無線通信装置20Aのダイレクト通信モードの起動は完了しているので、無線通信装置20Bは、無線通信によりGO_Negotiation_Responseを送信する(S324)。なお、無線通信装置20Bは、無線通信装置20Aがビーコンなどの無線信号の送信を開始したか否かに基づき、無線通信装置20Aのダイレクト通信モードの起動が完了しているか否かを判定することが可能である。
なお、本実施形態は、WPS_Push_Button_Configurationにも適用可能である。以下、図9を参照し、より具体的に説明する。
以上、第1の実施形態による無線通信システムの動作を説明した。続いて、図10を参照し、第1の実施形態による無線通信装置20の動作を整理する。
なお、上記ではダイレクト通信モードがオフである場合に無線通信装置20が行う処理について説明したが、ダイレクト通信モードがオフである場合には、無線LANインタフェース220がオフである場合に加え、無線LANインタフェース220がインフラストラクチャモードで動作している場合も含まれる。
以上、本開示の第1の実施形態を説明した。続いて、本開示の第2の実施形態を説明する。本開示の第2の実施形態によれば、3以上の無線通信装置の接続に要する時間を短縮することが可能である。以下、3以上の無線通信装置の一般的な接続手順を説明した後に、本実施形態について具体的に説明する。
以上、本開示の各実施形態を説明した。上述した無線通信装置20による処理は、ソフトウェアと、以下に説明する無線通信装置20のハードウェアとの協働により実現される。
以上説明したように、第1の本実施形態による制御部280は、NFCインタフェース240により他の無線通信装置20が検出された場合、無線LANインタフェース220のダイレクト通信モードの起動開始を制御し、かつ、他の無線通信装置20とのダイレクト通信のための接続処理をNFCインタフェース240に開始させる。かかる構成により、ダイレクト通信モードの起動と並行してダイレクト通信のための接続処理を行うことができるので、接続確立までの待ち時間を短縮することができる。

前記非接触通信部により他の通信装置が検出された場合、前記無線通信部の第1の通信モードの起動開始、および、前記非接触通信部と前記他の通信装置との前記無線通信のための接続処理を制御する制御部と、

前記制御部は、前記無線通信部の前記第1の通信モードの起動が完了した後、前記接続処理のうちで未実行の処理を前記無線通信部に行わせる、前記(1)に記載の通信装置。

前記未実行の処理は、前記無線通信部の前記第1の通信モードの起動完了タイミングに応じて変化する、前記(2)に記載の通信装置。

前記無線通信部が第2の通信モードで動作している時に前記非接触通信部により他の通信装置が検出された場合、前記制御部は、前記第2の通信モードによる接続の切断を制御し、前記無線通信部の第1の通信モードの起動開始を制御する、前記(1)~(3)のいずれか一項に記載の通信装置。

前記第2の通信モードは、アクセスポイントを介して通信を行うインフラストラクチャモードであり、
前記第1の通信モードは、前記アクセスポイントを介さずに通信を行うダイレクト通信モードである、前記(1)~(4)のいずれか一項に記載の通信装置。

- 非接触通信を行う非接触通信部と、

前記非接触通信部により他の通信装置が検出された場合、前記無線通信部の第1の通信モードの起動開始、および、前記非接触通信部と前記他の通信装置との前記無線通信のための接続処理を制御する制御部と、
を備える、通信装置。 - 前記制御部は、前記無線通信部の前記第1の通信モードの起動が完了した後、前記接続処理のうちで未実行の処理を前記無線通信部に行わせる、請求項1に記載の通信装置。
- 前記未実行の処理は、前記無線通信部の前記第1の通信モードの起動完了タイミングに応じて変化する、請求項2に記載の通信装置。
- 前記無線通信部が第2の通信モードで動作している時に前記非接触通信部により他の通信装置が検出された場合、前記制御部は、前記第2の通信モードによる接続の切断を制御し、前記無線通信部の第1の通信モードの起動開始を制御する、請求項1に記載の通信装置。
- 前記第2の通信モードは、アクセスポイントを介して通信を行うインフラストラクチャモードであり、
前記第1の通信モードは、前記アクセスポイントを介さずに通信を行うダイレクト通信モードである、請求項1に記載の通信装置。 - 非接触通信により他の通信装置を検出することと、
無線通信の第1の通信モードの起動を開始することと、
