Definitions
- the present invention relates to a metal fastener element for a slide fastener that can stably secure the meshing strength of the slide fastener and has a good touch.
- a metal fastener element (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as a metal element) generally includes a meshing head, a trunk extending rearward from the base end of the meshing head, and a bifurcating from the trunk. It has a pair of left and right legs that branch and extend rearward.
- a metal element is manufactured by the following two typical methods.
- the first manufacturing method of a metal element is to form a meshing head and the like by plastic deformation of a metal flat wire by pressing, and punch the formed flat wire into the shape of the element using a punch or die Alternatively, the fastener elements are manufactured one by one by cutting them off.
- the fastener element thus obtained is subjected to a polishing process such as barrel polishing or chemical polishing, or a coating process for applying a clear coating or the like to the element surface, and then one side of the fastener tape using a caulking means.
- the edges are planted one by one at regular intervals.
- Patent Document 1 An example of a method for producing a metal element from a rectangular wire is disclosed in US Pat. No. 2,116,712 (Patent Document 1).
- the flat wire is passed between a pair of rollers to press the left and right side edges along the longitudinal direction of the flat wire. Added. As a result, the left and right side edges of the flat wire rod are rounded to form a smooth surface.
- the metal wire with the left and right side edges rounded is pressed to form a meshing head, etc., and then the wire is cut into the shape of the element with a cutting die, and the legs are moved in the width direction by punching. spread.
- the metal element 50 in which the left and right outer edges on the first and second surface sides (the lower surface and the upper surface side) of the meshing head 51 and the leg portion 52 are rounded is manufactured.
- Patent Document 1 by configuring a slide fastener using such a metal element 50, the outer edge portion of the metal element 50 is smooth, so that the slider can be easily slid. The sound generated during sliding can be reduced.
- a long metal wire having a circular cross section is passed through a plurality of rolling rolls, and the cross section is formed to have a substantially Y shape.
- Element elements are sequentially manufactured by sequentially cutting a so-called Y bar) with a cutting punch and a cutting die at a desired thickness in the length direction.
- a metal element is manufactured by forming a meshing convex part and a meshing concave part by locally pressing and deforming a portion corresponding to the meshing head of the obtained element element.
- a caulking means (caulking punch) is attached to one side edge of the fastener tape that is transferred separately from the metal element following the formation of the meshing convex part and the meshing concave part.
- a caulking punch is attached to one side edge of the fastener tape that is transferred separately from the metal element following the formation of the meshing convex part and the meshing concave part.
- One by one is planted and fastener stringers are produced.
- the fastener element 50 described in Patent Document 1 is configured by rounding the left and right outer edges of the meshing head 51 and the leg 52, but is rounded and smooth.
- the only part formed on the left and right outer edges of the meshing head 51 and the leg 52 is on the tip side disposed between the left and right outer edges of the meshing head 51. Since the central peripheral edge is a cutting edge that has been cut by the cutting die, the cross-section of the central peripheral edge has a ridgeline-shaped outer shape that is squared at a substantially right angle.
- the meshing head of the fastener element 50 51-side tip peripheral portion (particularly, the tip peripheral portion is formed in a curved shape so as to bend or bend from the parallel region of the tip parallel to the element width direction toward the left and right outer edges of the meshing head. If it is, the hand is likely to touch the curve area).
- the fastener element 50 of Patent Document 1 has a ridgeline-shaped outer shape in which the peripheral portion on the distal end side of the meshing head 51 is square, so that the user can open the slide fastener.
- the fastener element 50 When the hand is inserted into the part and the hand comes into contact with the fastener element 50, there is a drawback that it is easy to receive a tingling and unpleasant feel or a lightly scratched feel.
- the slide fastener when the slide fastener is configured using a plurality of metal elements in which the meshing recess is disposed on the first surface of the meshing head and the meshing protrusion is disposed on the second surface opposite to the first surface,
- the meshing projections of each fastener element are engaged with the inner wall surface of the meshing recess of the mating counterpart (especially the meshing in the meshing recess)
- the state of being in contact with the inner wall surface on the head front end side and being fitted into the meshing recess is maintained. Thereby, it is possible to prevent chain cracks from occurring in the slide fastener.
- the tip peripheral portion parallel to the width direction on the tip portion side in the meshing head is different from the ridge-like peripheral portion as in Patent Document 1, and is rounded such that the angular corner is cut off.
- the thickness of the element in the longitudinal direction from the inner wall surface of the meshing recess to the outer surface of the tip (top surface of the meshing head) (Hereinafter, this thickness is referred to as the top surface side thickness) becomes thinner as it approaches the first surface side of the meshing head.

It is preferable that the region is continuously arranged from a region on the side of the meshing recess to a region on the tip side of the meshing head.
- the distance between the one ends of the pair of second peripheral portions is preferably set to 20% or more and 65% or less of the maximum dimension of the meshing head in the element width direction.

- the third peripheral edge portion 37c on the lower surface side of the leg portion 33 is located on the rear side of the position of the crotch portion 32 of the fastener element 30 in the element length direction.
- the second peripheral edge portion 37b is provided apart from the second peripheral portion 37b.
- the third peripheral edge portion 37c on the upper surface side of the leg portion 33 is also arranged in a region on the rear side of the position of the crotch portion 32 of the fastener element 30 in the element length direction, and on the upper surface side of the fastener element 30. It is provided apart from the arranged cut portion 36.
- one end of the third peripheral portion 37c on the lower surface side of the leg portion 33 on the side of the meshing head 31 and one end of the third peripheral portion 37c on the upper surface side on the side of the meshing head 31 are in the element length direction.
- the second peripheral edge portion 17b and the third peripheral edge portion 17c are single.
- defects such as burrs may occur at the boundary between the second peripheral edge portion 17b and the third peripheral edge portion 17c.
- the second peripheral edge portion 37b and the third peripheral edge portion 37c are formed apart from each other as in the fastener element 30 according to the modification shown in FIG. Even when the three peripheral edge portions 37 c are formed by separate processing, it is possible to reliably prevent defects such as burrs from occurring on the outer peripheral edge portion of the fastener element 30.
- the formation of the third peripheral edge itself is omitted, and the outer peripheral edge on the lower surface side and the upper surface side of the leg portion is formed in an angular ridge shape to constitute the fastener element. Is also possible.
