Description
本発明は、電波を反射することでおとり(デコイ)などとして機能するコーナーリフレクタに関する。
コーナーリフレクタは、例えば、特許文献1に記載されている。特許文献1のコーナーリフレクタは、図1の構成を有する。コーナーリフレクタは、図1のように、互いに直交する3つの電波反射膜21を8組有する。これにより、コーナーリフレクタに対し、どの角度から電波が入射してきても、コーナーリフレクタによって、電波を入射してきた方向に反射することができる。
例えば、図2のように、電波Aと電波Bのいずれについても、互いに直交する電波反射膜21により、入射してきた方向に反射することができる。

コーナーリフレクタは、飛翔体、船、地上などから放出され、その後、空中や水上で図1の形状に展開する。そのために、コーナーリフレクタは、例えば、図1の例のように、バルーン23を有する。このバルーン23は、膨張すると球形となる。この膨張により、各電波反射膜21が図1のように展開するように電波反射膜21がバルーン23の内部に取り付けられている。なお、図1の例では、ボンベ25がバルーン23内にガスを供給することで、バルーンを球形に膨張させる。
上述のような構成により、例えば、空中で展開したコーナーリフレクタに、追尾用レーダ装置やミサイルのレーダシーカから電波が入射すると、コーナーリフレクタは、図2のように電波を入射してきた方向に反射することができる。これにより、コーナーリフレクタをレーダのおとりにすることができる。
なお、本願の他の先行技術文献として、下記2件の特許文献がある。
コーナーリフレクタを速やかに展開することが望まれる。バルーンを膨張してコーナーリフレクタを展開させるには、バルーン内にガスを供給する。しかし、上述のバルーンを球状に膨張させるには、膨大なガス量を供給する必要がある。そのため、コーナーリフレクタを展開するのに時間がかかる。従って、速やかな展開を可能にすることが望まれる。
そこで、本発明の目的は、速やかに展開することができるコーナーリフレクタを提供することにある。
上記目的を達成するため、本発明によると、可撓性と気密性を有し、内部にガスが供給されるとガス圧で環状に膨張する環状中空バルーンと、
環状中空バルーンの膨張により、前記環状の平面に展開するように、外周縁部が前記環状中空バルーンに取り付けられた電波反射膜と、を備え、
3つの前記環状中空バルーンが、膨張時に互いに直交するように設けられ、
前記環状中空バルーンが限界体積以上に膨張することを抑制する拘束用部材が、前記環状中空バルーンの外面に取り付けられている、ことを特徴とするコーナーリフレクタが提供される。

本発明の好ましい実施形態によると、前記拘束用部材は、前記環状の周方向と直交する環状中空バルーンの外周方向に、環状中空バルーンを取り巻くように設けられている。
好ましくは、前記電波反射膜は、導電性繊維で形成された布であり、前記拘束用部材と結合されている。
上述した本発明のコーナーリフレクタは、可撓性と気密性を有し、内部にガスが供給されるとガス圧で環状に膨張する環状中空バルーンと、環状中空バルーンの膨張により、前記環状の平面に展開するように、外周縁部が前記環状中空バルーンに取り付けられた電波反射膜とを備え、3つの前記環状中空バルーンが、膨張時に互いに直交するように設けられる。この構成では、環状中空バルーンを膨張させればよいので、環状中空バルーンを膨張させるのに必要とされるガス量を少なくできる。その結果、コーナーリフレクタを速やかに展開することができる。
しかも、環状中空バルーンが限界体積以上に膨張することを抑制する拘束用部材が、前記環状中空バルーンの外面に取り付けられているので、膨張時の環状中空バルーンの内圧を高めることができる。その結果、環状中空バルーンをより細くすることができるので、環状中空バルーンを軽量できるとともに、環状中空バルーンの収縮時の寸法を小さくすることができる。
以下、本発明の好ましい実施形態を、図面を参照して説明する。なお、各図において共通する部分には同一の符号を付し、重複した説明を省略する。
図3は、本発明の実施形態によるコーナーリフレクタ10の斜視図である。図3に示すように、コーナーリフレクタ10は、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3c、電波反射膜5、および拘束用部材7を備える。
環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cは、可撓性と気密性を有し、内部にガスが供給されるとガス圧で膨張して環状になる。3つの環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cは、膨張時に、各環状中空バルーンの環状の平面が互いに直交するように組まれる。好ましくは、各環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cを二等分する弦(後述する結合部分6)が互いに直交するように3つの環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cが組まれる。図3では、3つの環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cが、膨張した環状になっている。

電波反射膜5は、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの膨張により、環状中空バルーンの前記環状の平面に展開するように、外周縁部が各環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cに取り付けられる。すなわち、電波反射膜5は、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの膨張により、環状中空バルーンの環状の平面に展開する。本実施形態では、図3のように、互いに直交する3つの電波反射膜5を1組として、8組の電波反射膜5が設けられる。図3において、各線6は、複数の電波反射膜5同士の結合部分である。

拘束用部材7は、各環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの外面に取り付けられ、環状中空バルーンが所定の限界体積以上に膨張することを抑制する。ここで、「限界体積」とは、各環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cを構成する中空チューブの直径が予め設定した最大直径となる際の環状中空バルーンの体積を意味する。
拘束用部材7は、この例では拘束用布7であるが、その代わりに網状、帯状、紐条のもの(布、網、紐)であってもよい。

図4は、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの環状の周方向に直交する仮想平面によるコーナーリフレクタ10の部分断面図である。拘束用布7は、電波反射特性を有さない材料(例えばポリエステル、ナイロンやシルク)で形成されている。すなわち、拘束用布7は、電波が透過する材料で形成されている。これにより、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cで電波が反射することを防止でき、その結果、電波反射膜5に電波が当たらない部分が発生してコーナーリフレクタ10の電波反射性能が低下することが避けられる。
好ましくは、拘束用布7は、前記環状の周方向と直交する環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの外周方向(図の符号Dで示す矢印方向)に、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cに巻き付けられる。すなわち、拘束用布7は、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの外周方向に環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cを取り巻く。この場合、より好ましくは、各拘束用布7は、その面が環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cに接するように環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの外周方向に巻き付けられる。
このような拘束用布7は、前記環状の周方向に一周するように環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cに沿って周方向に延びていてよい。代わりに、拘束用布7は、前記環状の周方向に、間隔を置いて複数設けられていてもよい。また、拘束用布7は、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cを部分的に覆う構成であってもよい。
好ましくは、拘束用布7は、前記環状の周方向と直交する環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの外周方向(図の符号Dで示す矢印方向)に、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cに巻き付けられる。すなわち、拘束用布7は、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの外周方向に環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cを取り巻く。この場合、より好ましくは、各拘束用布7は、その面が環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cに接するように環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの外周方向に巻き付けられる。
このような拘束用布7は、前記環状の周方向に一周するように環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cに沿って周方向に延びていてよい。代わりに、拘束用布7は、前記環状の周方向に、間隔を置いて複数設けられていてもよい。また、拘束用布7は、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cを部分的に覆う構成であってもよい。
本実施形態によると、電波反射膜5は、導電性繊維で形成された布である。この場合、好ましくは、当該電波反射膜5と拘束用布7とが、図4のように縫合用繊維9により結合される。このようにして、電波反射膜5が各環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cに取り付けられる。
なお電波反射膜5と拘束用布7との結合は、縫合用繊維9による縫合であるのが好ましいがその他の手段であってもよい。また、拘束用布7の代わりに網状、帯状、紐条のもの(布、網、紐)を環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cのまわりに巻き付ける構成であってもよい。
なお、導電性繊維は、例えば、ナイロンやポリエステルの繊維に金属膜(銅や銀など)をコーティングしたものであってよい。一方、縫合用繊維9は、電波反射特性を有しない材料(例えばナイロン糸)で形成される。
なお電波反射膜5と拘束用布7との結合は、縫合用繊維9による縫合であるのが好ましいがその他の手段であってもよい。また、拘束用布7の代わりに網状、帯状、紐条のもの(布、網、紐)を環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cのまわりに巻き付ける構成であってもよい。
なお、導電性繊維は、例えば、ナイロンやポリエステルの繊維に金属膜(銅や銀など)をコーティングしたものであってよい。一方、縫合用繊維9は、電波反射特性を有しない材料(例えばナイロン糸)で形成される。
上述の構成を有するコーナーリフレクタ10は、収縮した状態で、例えば、船(艦船)や地上などから空中へ打ち上げられ、コーナーリフレクタ10に取り付けられた図示しないガス供給装置により、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3c内にガスが供給されることで、図3のように展開する。なお、ガス供給装置は、例えば、ガスボンベや、火薬を用いたガスジェネレータなどであってよく、所望のタイミングで、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3c内にガスが供給するように作動させられる。
このようにコーナーリフレクタ10が、空中などで展開することで、ミサイルレーダシーカは、コーナーリフレクタ10からの反射レーダにより、コーナーリフレクタ10を追尾目標とする。これにより、コーナーリフレクタ10をミサイルのおとり(デコイ)とすることができる。
上述した本発明の実施形態によるコーナーリフレクタ10は、可撓性と気密性を有し、内部にガスが供給されるとガス圧で環状に膨張する環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cと、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの膨張により、前記環状の平面に展開するように、外周縁部が環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cに取り付けられた電波反射膜5とを備え、3つの環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cが、膨張時に互いに直交するように設けられる。この構成では、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cを膨張させればよいので、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cを膨張させるのに必要とされるガス量を少なくできる。その結果、コーナーリフレクタを速やかに展開することができる。
しかも、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cが限界体積以上に膨張することを抑制する拘束用布7が、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの外面に取り付けられているので、膨張時の環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの内圧を高めることができる。その結果、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cをより細くすることができるので、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cを軽量できるとともに、環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの収縮時の寸法を小さくすることができる。
また、膨張時の環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cの内圧を高めることができるので、コーナーリフレクタ10の構造強度も高まる。
本発明は上述した実施の形態に限定されず、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々変更を加え得ることは勿論である。
上述の縫合用繊維9を省略してもよい。この場合、縫合用繊維9以外の手段で、電波反射膜5を、拘束用布7を介して環状中空バルーン3a、3b、3cに取り付けてもよい。
本発明のコーナーリフレクタ10は、デコイとして用いる以外の用途にも使用してもよい。例えば、本発明のコーナーリフレクタ10を、特許文献2のように、遭難者の居場所を知らせるために使用してもよい。

Claims (6)
- 電波を反射させるコーナーリフレクタであって、
可撓性と気密性を有し、内部にガスが供給されるとガス圧で環状に膨張する環状中空バルーンと、
環状中空バルーンの膨張により、前記環状の平面に展開するように、外周縁部が前記環状中空バルーンに取り付けられた電波反射膜と、を備え、
3つの前記環状中空バルーンが、膨張時に互いに直交するように設けられ、
前記環状中空バルーンが限界体積以上に膨張することを抑制する拘束用部材が、前記環状中空バルーンの外面に取り付けられている、ことを特徴とするコーナーリフレクタ。 - 前記拘束用部材は、前記環状の周方向と直交する環状中空バルーンの外周方向に、環状中空バルーンを取り巻くように設けられている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーナーリフレクタ。
- 前記電波反射膜は、導電性繊維で形成された布であり、
