 他方、アンテナ端子1002には、ハイパスフィルタ1006が接続されており、ハイパスフィルタ1006の出力端が第2の端子1007に接続されている。ハイパスフィルタ1006のカットオフ周波数は、前記バンドパスフィルタ1004の通過帯域よりも高域側にある。
 他方、下記の特許文献2には、GPS受信フィルタと、2つのセルラーバンドをそれぞれ受信する2つのバンドパスフィルタとが備えられた高周波モジュールが開示されている。ここでは、GPS受信フィルタ及び2つのバンドパスフィルタが、スイッチにより切り換えられるように構成されている。

 近年、携帯電話機などにおいては、様々な周波数の通信方式が併用されている。また、GPS機能なども備えられている。GPSやGLONASSでは、搬送波周波数帯域は1.5~1.6GHzである。これに対して、WLANの搬送波周波数帯域はIEEE802.11bなどでは、2.4GHz付近である。従って、例えば図5に示した分波器1001において、バンドパスフィルタ1004の通過帯域によりGPSの信号を受信し、ハイパスフィルタ1006側においてWLANの信号を受信することができる。
 しかしながら、WLANの搬送波周波数帯域が2.4GHz付近であるのに対し、この周波数に近接してBand7の搬送波周波数帯域が位置する。Band7の搬送波周波数帯域は2.5~2.6GHz付近である。従って、ハイパスフィルタ1006では、WLANの信号をBand7の信号に対して分離することができない。
 よって、このような用途では、ハイパスフィルタ1006の後段にWLANの搬送波周波数を通過帯域とする、図5に破線で示すバンドパスフィルタ1008を接続しなければならない。
 しかも、このようなバンドパスフィルタ1008を接続したとしても、WLANの通過帯域に隣接する減衰域における急峻性を高めることは困難であった。Band7の搬送波周波数帯域は、上記のようにWLANの搬送波周波数帯域に非常に近接している。よって、WLANの通過帯域高域側における減衰域の急峻性を高めるには、バンドパスフィルタ1008に加えて、さらに、Band7の通過帯域の信号を減衰させる帯域阻止フィルタを接続しなければならなかった。よって、部品点数が増大し、コストが高くつくという問題があった。
 他方、特許文献2に記載のように、マルチバンド化に対応して、各バンドに応じたバンドパスフィルタをアンテナ端子に接続し、スイッチで切り換えることも考えられる。しかしながら、スイッチを必要とするため、大型化し、かつコストが高くつくこととなる。
 本発明の目的は、部品点数を増加させることなく、かつ安価に提供することができ、さらにアンテナ端子に接続されているバンドパスフィルタの通過帯域に隣接している減衰域におけるフィルタ特性の急峻性を効果的に高め得る分波器を提供することにある。
 本発明に係る分波器は、アンテナ端子と、第1,第2の端子とを有する。該分波器は、第1のバンドパスフィルタ及びハイパスフィルタを備える。第1のバンドパスフィルタは、その入力端がアンテナ端子に接続されており、出力端が第1の端子に接続されている。第1のバンドパスフィルタは、相対的に低い第1の通過帯域を有する。
 上記ハイパスフィルタは、入力端及び出力端を有し、入力端がアンテナ端子に接続されている。ハイパスフィルタは、第1の通過帯域よりも高い周波数位置にある第2の通過帯域を有する。
 そして、本発明では、上記ハイパスフィルタが、第2の通過帯域内に阻止帯域を形成するノッチフィルタとしての機能を有する。
 本発明に係る分波器のある特定の局面では、上記ハイパスフィルタは、ハイパスフィルタの入力端と出力端とを結ぶ直列腕に設けられた少なくとも1つの弾性波共振子と、直列腕とグラウンド電位とを結ぶ少なくとも1つの並列腕に設けられたインダクタンス素子とを備える。弾性波共振子の容量成分とインダクタンス素子のインダクタンスとによりハイパスフィルタのフィルタ特性が得られている。さらに、前記弾性波共振子の反共振周波数により前記ノッチフィルタとしての特性が得られている。それによって周波数特性上にトラップすなわち阻止帯域が形成されている。この場合には、少ない部品点数で、第2のバンドパスフィルタの減衰域における急峻性をより効果的に高めることができる。
 本発明に係る分波器の他の特定の局面では、ハイパスフィルタが、直列腕に配置された第1,第2の弾性波共振子と、第1,第2の弾性波共振子間の接続点とグラウンド電位とを結ぶ並列腕に接続されたインダクタンス素子とを備える。
 また、本発明に係る分波器のさらに他の特定の局面では、ハイパスフィルタは、直列腕に配置された第1,第2の弾性波共振子と、入力端とグラウンド電位との間に接続された第1の並列腕に配置された第1のインダクタンス素子と、出力端とグラウンド電位との間に接続された第2の並列腕に配置された第2のインダクタンス素子とを有する。この場合には、並列腕に配置されたインダクタンス素子によりインピーダンス整合を容易に図ることができる。また、耐サージ電圧性も高めることができる。
 本発明に係る分波器のさらに別の特定の局面では、前記ハイパスフィルタの出力端と前記第2の端子との間に接続されており、前記ハイパスフィルタの前記第2の通過帯域内に位置し、前記阻止帯域に近接する第3の通過帯域を有する第2のバンドパスフィルタがさらに備えられている。この場合には、第3の通過帯域近傍におけるフィルタ特性の急峻性を効果的に高めることができる。従って、第3の通過帯域内の信号の選択度を高めることができる。
 本発明に係る分波器のさらに別の特定の局面では、前記第1のバンドパスフィルタが、GPSまたはGLONASSの搬送波周波数を第1の通過帯域とし、前記第2のバンドパスフィルタが、2.4GHz帯のWLANの搬送波周波数を第3の通過帯域とし、UMTSのBand7またはBand40の搬送波周波数帯が前記阻止帯域である。この場合には、GPSまたはGLONASSに対応した第1のバンドパスフィルタと、WLANに対応した第2のバンドパスフィルタとを備える構成において、WLANの通過帯域近傍における急峻性を効果的に高めることができる。従って、Band7またはBand40の影響を抑制し、WLANの信号の選択度を高めることができる。
 本発明に係る分波器では、ハイパスフィルタが、上記ノッチフィルタとしても機能するため、不要な信号の干渉を抑制しつつ、必要な信号を取り出すことができる。しかも、ハイパスフィルタ自体が上記ノッチフィルタとしても機能するため、部品点数の増加を抑制できる。

 以下、図面を参照しつつ、本発明の具体的な実施形態を説明することにより、本発明を明らかにする。
 図1は、本発明の第1の実施形態に係る分波器を説明するための概略構成図である。分波器1は、携帯電話機のアンテナに接続されるアンテナ端子3を有する。分波器1は、GPSの信号と、WLANの信号とを取り出す。分波器1において、GPSの通過帯域は、1.5~1.6GHz付近に存在する。他方、WLANの通過帯域は、IEEE802.11b、IEEE802.11g及びIEEE802.11nでは、2.4GHz付近に存在する。ところで、このような2.4GHz帯のWLANの通過帯域高域側近傍には、UMTSのBand7の搬送波周波数帯域が存在する。Band7の搬送波周波数帯域は、2.5~2.69GHzにある。従って、WLANの信号を取り出す側においては、Band7の信号を十分に減衰させる必要がある。
 上記分波器1は、第1のバンドパスフィルタ4を有する。第1のバンドパスフィルタ4の入力端がアンテナ端子3に接続されている。第1のバンドパスフィルタ4は、上記GPSの信号を取り出すために設けられている。第1のバンドパスフィルタ4の出力端は、第1の端子5に接続されている。第1の端子5からGPSの信号が取り出され、後段に接続されているRF-IC6に与えられる。
 他方、分波器1はハイパスフィルタ7も有する。ハイパスフィルタ7の入力端はアンテナ端子3に接続されている。ハイパスフィルタ7は、GPSの信号を除去するために設けられている。従って、ハイパスフィルタ7のカットオフ周波数は、第1のバンドパスフィルタ4の通過帯域よりも高域側にある。
 加えて、本実施形態では、ハイパスフィルタ7は、そのカットオフ周波数よりも高い周波数域、すなわちハイパスフィルタ7の通過帯域内に図1に矢印Aで模式的に示すトラップを形成するノッチフィルタとしても機能する。
 上記ハイパスフィルタ7の出力端は、第2のバンドパスフィルタ8の入力端に接続されている。第2のバンドパスフィルタ8は、WLANの信号を取り出す帯域通過型のフィルタである。第2のバンドパスフィルタ8の通過帯域は、WLANの信号を取り出すため、2.4GHz帯にある。第2のバンドパスフィルタ8の出力端が第2の端子9に接続されている。第2の端子9から、WLANの信号が取り出され、後段のRF-IC6に与えられる。
 前述したように、分波器1のWLANの通過帯域と、Band7の搬送波周波数帯域とは非常に近接している。従って、WLANの信号とBand7の信号との干渉を回避するためには、Band7の搬送波周波数帯域における減衰量を十分大きくすることが必要である。本実施形態では、ハイパスフィルタ7がノッチフィルタ部を有するように構成されているため、Band7の信号を十分に減衰させ、WLANの通過帯域高域側におけるフィルタ特性の急峻性を効果的に高めることができる。これを、図2の具体的な回路図を参照しつつ、より詳細に説明する。
 図2は、上記分波器1の回路図を示す。第1のバンドパスフィルタ4は、図示のようにラダー型回路構成を有する帯域通過型のフィルタである。第1のバンドパスフィルタ4は、入力端と出力端とを結ぶ直列腕に直列に接続された複数の直列腕共振子S1~S3を有する。直列腕共振子S1,S2間の接続点とグラウンド電位とを結ぶ並列腕に第1の並列腕共振子P1が配置されている。直列腕共振子S2,S3間の接続点とグラウンド電位とを結ぶ並列腕に並列腕共振子P2が配置されている。出力端とグラウンド電位との間を結ぶ直列腕に並列腕共振子P3が配置されている。直列腕共振子S1~S3及び並列腕共振子P1~P3は、それぞれ、弾性表面波共振子からなる。もっとも、第1のバンドパスフィルタ4は、このような弾性表面波共振子を用いたものに限らず、弾性境界波共振子や圧電薄膜共振子などの他の弾性波共振子を用いて構成されていてもよい。さらに、第1のバンドパスフィルタ4は、GPSの信号を通過させる帯域通過型のフィルタである限り、ラダー型フィルタに限定されるものでもない。
 他方、ハイパスフィルタ7は、ハイパスフィルタ7の入力端と出力端とを結ぶ直列腕において互いに直列に接続された第1,第2の直列腕共振子S11,S12と、直列腕共振子S11,S12間の接続点とグラウンド電位とを結ぶ並列腕に配置されたインダクタンス素子L1とを有する。第1,第2の直列腕共振子S11,S12は、それぞれ、弾性表面波共振子からなる。もっとも、第1,第2の直列腕共振子S11,S12は、弾性表面波共振子に限らず、弾性境界波共振子や圧電薄膜共振子などの他の弾性波共振子でもよい。
 直列腕共振子S11,S12は、共振周波数と反共振周波数との間以外は単なる容量として機能する。そのため、ハイパスフィルタ7では、直列腕共振子S11,S12の容量成分と、インダクタンス素子L1のインダクタンスとによりハイパスフィルタとしての特性が得られている。すなわち、カットオフ周波数以下の帯域の信号を減衰させ、カットオフ周波数を超える帯域の信号を通過させる。このカットオフ周波数は、第1のバンドパスフィルタ4の通過帯域すなわちGPSの通過帯域よりも高域側に位置し、WLANの通過帯域よりも低域側に位置している。従って、ハイパスフィルタ7により、GPSの信号を十分に減衰させ、WLANの信号を通過させることができる。
 加えて、ハイパスフィルタ7は、弾性表面波共振子からなる直列腕共振子S11,S12により、ノッチフィルタ部をも構成している。このノッチフィルタ部は、帯域除去型フィルタ(BEF)として作用するものであり、ハイパスフィルタ7の通過帯域内に阻止帯域を形成する。図1に示すハイパスフィルタ7では、通過帯域内に阻止帯域が形成されていることが模式的に示されている。
 上記阻止帯域は、直列腕共振子S11,S12の反共振周波数における高いインピーダンスにより形成される。本実施形態では、直列腕共振子S11,S12の反共振周波数は、Band7の通過帯域、すなわちWLANの通過帯域の高域側近傍に位置している。これを図3を参照して説明する。図3の破線は、前述した第1のバンドパスフィルタ4のフィルタ特性を示す。第1のバンドパスフィルタ4では、GPSの通過帯域である1.55~1.65GHz帯において挿入損失が約1dBとなっている。この通過帯域よりも高い周波数域及び低い周波数域が減衰帯域とされている。
 他方、図3の実線は、ハイパスフィルタ7のフィルタ特性を示す。ハイパスフィルタ7は、カットオフ周波数がGPSの搬送波周波数帯域よりも高周波数域にある。すなわち、ハイパスフィルタ7の通過帯域は、第1のバンドパスフィルタ4の通過帯域よりも高周波数域にある。従って、GPSの信号を十分に減衰することができる。他方、前述したように、本実施形態では、ハイパスフィルタ7が上記帯域除去フィルタとして作用するノッチフィルタ部を備えているため、矢印Bで示す阻止帯域が形成されている。すなわち、直列腕共振子S11,S12の反共振周波数がBand7の搬送波周波数帯域の一部である2.5GHz付近に位置する。従って、2.5GHz付近に矢印Bで示す阻止帯域が形成されている。
 図2に戻り、ハイパスフィルタ7の後段に接続されている第2のバンドパスフィルタ8は、WLANの信号を通過させる帯域通過型のフィルタである。このようなバンドパスフィルタ8は、複数の共振子を用いたラダー型フィルタや、容量とインダクタンスとを用いて構成されたLCフィルタなどの適宜のフィルタにより構成することができる。本実施形態では、第2のバンドパスフィルタ8は、第1のバンドパスフィルタ4と同様に、複数の弾性表面波共振子を用いてなるラダー型フィルタにより構成されている。
 図3に第2のバンドパスフィルタ8のフィルタ特性を一点鎖線Cで示す。前述したように、WLANの通過帯域高域側と、Band7の搬送波周波数帯域の低域側とは非常に近接している。従って、阻止帯域Bは、WLANの通過帯域高域側端部と減衰帯域との間において減衰量が急激に変化する遷移域に位置している。
 そのため、本実施形態では、第2の端子9から取り出される信号において、WLANの通過帯域高域側端部におけるフィルタ特性の急峻性を効果的に高めることができる。すなわち、Band7の信号を抑制しつつ、WLANの信号の選択度を効果的に高めることが可能となる。
 しかも、上記ハイパスフィルタ7が、尖鋭度が大きい反共振周波数及び共振周波数を有する弾性波共振子によって阻止帯域を形成するノッチフィルタ部を有するように構成されているため、上記フィルタ特性の急峻性を高めるために追加的な部品や回路を必要としない。例えば、特許文献1に記載の分波器では、WLANの通過帯域高域側においてBand7の信号を十分に抑圧するには、前述したように別回路素子として帯域阻止型フィルタを追加しなければならなかった。
 これに対して、本実施形態では、ハイパスフィルタ7が、第1,第2の直列腕共振子S11,S12とインダクタンス素子L1とを有する構成において、直列腕共振子S11,S12の反共振周波数における高インピーダンスを利用して、上記阻止帯域を形成することができる。また、ハイパスフィルタ7の第1,第2の直列腕共振子S11,S12と、第1のバンドパスフィルタ4の直列腕共振子S1~S3及び並列腕共振子P1~P3とを同種の弾性波共振子にすれば、同一基板に形成することもできる。さらに、第2のバンドパスフィルタ8が同種の弾性波共振子を用いたラダー型フィルタから構成される場合は、第2のバンドパスフィルタ8も前記同一基板に形成することもできる。従って、部品点数の増加をさほどまねくことなく、安価に、WLANの通過帯域における信号の選択度を高めることが可能となる。
 図4は、本発明の第2の実施形態に係る分波器の回路図である。第2の実施形態の分波器21では、アンテナ端子3に第1のバンドパスフィルタ4が接続されている。第1のバンドパスフィルタ4は、第1の実施形態と同様であるため、同一の部分には同一の参照番号を附することによりその説明を省略する。
 アンテナ端子3と第2の端子9との間には、ハイパスフィルタ7A及び第2のバンドパスフィルタ8が互いに直列に接続されている。すなわち、アンテナ端子3側にハイパスフィルタ7Aが接続されている。第2のバンドパスフィルタ8は、第1の実施形態と同様に構成されている。
 本実施形態が、第1の実施形態と異なるところは、ハイパスフィルタ7Aが図示のような回路構成を有することにある。すなわち、ハイパスフィルタ7Aは、入力端と出力端とを結ぶ直列腕に直列に接続された第1,第2の直列腕共振子S21,S22を有する。入力端とグラウンド電位とを結ぶ並列腕に第1のインダクタンス素子L21を有する。直列腕共振子S21,S22間の接続点とグラウンド電位とを結ぶ並列腕に並列腕共振子P21を有する。出力端とグラウンド電位とを結ぶ並列腕に第2のインダクタンス素子L22が配置されている。
 従って、ハイパスフィルタ7Aも、直列腕と並列腕とを有するラダー型の回路構成を備える。直列腕共振子S21,S22及び並列腕共振子P21は、弾性表面波共振子からなる。もっとも、本実施形態においても、直列腕共振子S22及び並列腕共振子P21は弾性表面波共振子以外の弾性波共振子により構成されてもよい。
 本実施形態のハイパスフィルタ7Aにおいても、インダクタンス素子L21,L22と直列腕共振子S21,S22の容量成分とにより、WLANの信号を通過させるハイパスフィルタとしての特性が得られる。ここで、本実施形態のハイパスフィルタ7Aでは、並列腕共振子P21の容量成分によってWLANの通過帯域よりも高域側で緩やかに減衰量が増加していく。そのため、ハイパスフィルタ7Aはバンドパスフィルタであるとも言える。しかし、本発明を構成するハイパスフィルタは狭義のハイパスフィルタに限定されず、カットオフ周波数以下の帯域の信号を減衰させ、カットオフ周波数を超える帯域の信号を通過させる機能を有する帯域フィルタである。したがって、本発明を構成するハイパスフィルタにはバンドパスフィルタが含まれる。
 他方、直列腕共振子S21,S22の反共振周波数及び並列腕共振子P21の共振周波数が、Band7の搬送波周波数帯域に位置している。従って、直列腕共振子S21,S22及び並列腕共振子P21により第1の実施形態と同様にトラップを形成することができる。よって、Band7の通過帯域における信号を十分に減衰させることができる。よって、第2の端子9から取り出される信号において、WLANの通過帯域高域側におけるフィルタ特性の急峻性を効果的に高めることができる。よって、WLANの通過帯域における信号の選択度を効果的に高めることが可能となる。
 加えて、本実施形態では、第1,第2のインダクタンス素子L21,L22が入力端または出力端に対し、直列腕共振子S21,S22に並列に接続されている。従って、インピーダンス整合をインダクタンス素子L21,L22のインダクタンス値を調整することにより容易に図ることができる。加えて、入力端側に第1のインダクタンス素子L21がグラウンド電位との間に接続されているため、耐サージ電圧性も高めることが可能となる。
 なお、第1,第2の実施形態では、ハイパスフィルタの直列腕共振子の反共振周波数または並列腕共振子の共振周波数をBand7の搬送波周波数帯域に位置させていた。それによって、Band7の搬送波周波数帯域における信号を十分に減衰させ、WLANの通過帯域高域側におけるフィルタ特性の急峻性を高めることが可能とされている。しかしながら、本発明は、このような用途に限定されるものではない。例えば、WLANの通過帯域における信号の選択度を高めるために、Band40の搬送波周波数帯域(2.3~2.4GHz)の信号を十分に減衰させることが必要な場合もある。その場合には、弾性波共振子の反共振周波数すなわちトラップ形成位置をBand40の搬送波周波数帯域内に位置させれば、WLANの通過帯域低域側近傍におけるフィルタ特性の急峻性を高めることができる。
 また、第1のバンドパスフィルタ4の通過帯域は、GPSに限らず、GLONASSの搬送波周波数帯域であってもよい。さらには、第1のバンドパスフィルタ4は、第2のバンドパスフィルタ8の通過帯域よりも低い通過帯域にある限り、GPSやGLONASSの通過帯域に限定されるものでない。すなわち、本発明の分波器は、アンテナ端子から入力された信号の内、相対的に通過帯域が低い第1の通過帯域と、相対的に通過帯域が高い第2の通過帯域とを分布する必要がある用途に広く適用することができる。従って、第1のバンドパスフィルタ4の通過帯域はGPSやGLONASSの通過帯域に限定されるものではない。同様に、第2のバンドパスフィルタ8の通過帯域についても、WLANに限定されるものでもない。
 また、本発明の特徴であるハイパスフィルタの回路構成についても、図2及び図4に示した構成に限定されるものでもなく、ラダー型の回路構成におけるフィルタの段数についても特に限定されるものではない。すなわち、本発明のハイパスフィルタの回路構成は、直列腕に設けられた少なくとも1つの弾性波共振子と、並列腕に設けられた少なくとも1つのインダクタンス素子とを有するラダー型の回路構成であればよい。

Claims (6)

  1.  アンテナ端子と、第1,第2の端子とを有する分波器であって、
     前記アンテナ端子に入力端が接続されており、出力端が前記第1の端子に接続されており、相対的に低い第1の通過帯域を有する第1のバンドパスフィルタと、
     入力端及び出力端を有し、前記入力端が前記アンテナ端子に接続されており、前記第1の通過帯域よりも高い周波数位置にある第2の通過帯域を有するハイパスフィルタとを備え、
     前記ハイパスフィルタが、前記第2の通過帯域内に阻止帯域を形成するノッチフィルタとしての機能を有する、分波器。
  2.  前記ハイパスフィルタが、該ハイパスフィルタの入力端と出力端とを結ぶ直列腕に設けられた少なくとも1つの弾性波共振子と、前記直列腕とグラウンド電位とを結ぶ少なくとも1つの並列腕に設けられたインダクタンス素子とを備え、前記弾性波共振子の容量成分と前記インダクタンス素子のインダクタンスとによりハイパスフィルタのフィルタ特性が得られており、かつ前記弾性波共振子の反共振周波数によりノッチフィルタとしての周波数特性が得られている、請求項1に記載の分波器。
  3.  前記ハイパスフィルタが、前記直列腕に配置された第1,第2の弾性波共振子と、第1,第2の弾性波共振子間の接続点とグラウンド電位とを結ぶ前記並列腕に接続された前記インダクタンス素子とを備える、請求項2に記載の分波器。
  4.  前記ハイパスフィルタが、前記直列腕に配置された第1,第2の弾性波共振子と、入力端とグラウンド電位との間に接続された第1の並列腕に配置された第1のインダクタンス素子と、前記出力端と前記グラウンド電位との間に接続された第2の並列腕に配置された第2のインダクタンス素子とを有する、請求項2に記載の分波器。
  5.  前記ハイパスフィルタの出力端と前記第2の端子との間に接続されており、前記ハイパスフィルタの前記第2の通過帯域内に位置し、前記阻止帯域に近接する第3の通過帯域を有する第2のバンドパスフィルタを更に備える、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の分波器。
  6.  前記第1のバンドパスフィルタが、GPSまたはGLONASSの搬送波周波数を前記第1の通過帯域とし、前記第2のバンドパスフィルタが、2.4GHz帯のWLANの搬送波周波数を前記第3の通過帯域とし、UMTSのBand7またはBand40の搬送波周波数帯を前記阻止帯域とする、請求項5に記載の分波器。
