先ず図1及び図2を用いて、本発明において用いられる嵌め部材の代表例である嵌めナットについて説明する。これらの図に示されるように、嵌めナット1の一端には、軸線方向に貫通するネジ穴1aの一端部と連通する嵌め凹部1bが形成されている。嵌め凹部1bは、ネジ穴1aの内径よりも大きく形成されている。図2(A)に示されるように、嵌め凹部1bは下端面よりも奥側の方が内径が大きくなるように形成されている。このような形状は、ネジ穴1a及び嵌め凹部1bを形成後に、下端部を圧造して先細り部1dを形成することにより形成される。本実施形態では嵌め凹部1bには、周方向に一定角度で外側方向に膨出する凹部からなるセレーション1cが形成されている。本実施形態では、嵌めナット1は円柱形状であるが、嵌めナット1の形状は、六角柱形状等の多角柱形状等であっても差し支え無い。

嵌めボルト5は、ネジ溝が螺刻された軸部5aの一端に頭部5bが形成されたボルトにおいて、頭部5bに嵌め凹部5cが凹陥形成されたものである。嵌め凹部5cは、開放端よりも奥側の方が、内径が大きく形成されている。なお、嵌め凹部5cにセレーションが形成されていても差し支え無い。なお、軸部5aは、ネジ溝が螺刻されていないピン状のものであっても差し支え無い。また、軸部5aは、中実及び中空の両方が含まれる。
以下に、図7を用いて、嵌めボルトの嵌め装置60の説明をする。本発明の嵌めボルトの嵌め装置60は、ダイス61と、このダイス61と近接・離隔可能に対向配置されたパンチ62とから構成されている。

ダイスと、前記ダイスと近接・離隔可能に対向配置されたパンチを有し、
前記ダイスの端面には、前記嵌め凹部よりも小径の嵌め突起が形成されており、
前記パンチには金属板の上面を拘束する下方突出部が形成されていることを特徴とする嵌め装置。 - 嵌め凹部が形成された嵌め部材を金属板に嵌めるための装置であって、
ダイスと、前記ダイスと近接・離隔可能に対向配置されたパンチを有し、
前記ダイスの端面には、前記嵌め凹部よりも小径の嵌め突起が形成されており、
前記パンチには嵌めボルトの軸部が挿入される嵌めボルトの頭部を押圧する押圧面と、その中央に位置する軸部保持凹部とが形成されていることを特徴とする嵌め装置。
