Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a palletless packaging unit comprising a plurality of packaging items stacked in a stack, in which packaging items are stacked in such a way that at least two engagement areas for fork legs of a lift truck are formed in at least one stack level.
- About the engagement areas extends film, which covers the stack completely or partially.
- a casing hood drawn over the stack of stacks is considered as casing, which is closed on one or both sides, but in any case surrounds the stack regularly on its outer circumference, ie. Side surfaces of the stack of goods covers.
- Such a cover is usually pulled over the stack of goods by moving a hose hood in the vertical along the vertical extent of the stack of goods.
- EP 2 036 818 A1 A generic method is known from EP 2 036 818 A1, which is based on the present Applicant.
- a stack with several normal layers is stacked on top of each other, so that a substantially cubic structure is formed.
- a special layer is placed on the normal layers whose base area is smaller than the base area of the normal layers.
- the special layer is stacked on top of the normal position so that the normal position forms engagement areas for fork legs of the lift truck on both sides.
- at least one retaining layer is placed over the engagement regions and adjacent packaging objects provided for this purpose on the stack, and then the stack of goods is wrapped with the first film with the intermediate layer of the retaining layer.
- the stack is turned so that the special situation comes down and the stack is on the special situation.
- the coating is carried out with a second film
- the first film and the second film are each formed from a tube whose circumference is initially smaller than the circumference of the stack and before the wrapping of the stack to a circumference greater than the circumference of the stack stretched and applied with elastic hoop stress to the stack.
- EP 2 036 818 A1 proposes to provide the first film on the outside and / or the second film on the inside with an adhesion promoter and / or with a friction-increasing surface, so that those in the overlapping region of the first and second Slide provided sections of both films against each other and / or adhere to each other.
- the so wrapped packaging unit is reinforced after completion by the holding position in particular adjacent to and over the engagement areas, which is to prevent the lifting of the stack by the lift truck sagging of layers of the stack between the fork legs or laterally past individual fork legs effectively.
- the first film extending secantily over the engagement regions is preferably applied to the contour of the product stack in the engagement region such that the second film is increasingly introduced into the engagement regions when the product stack is enveloped.
- the material of the first film is pushed inwards.
- the result is an elastic collar formed by the second film, the restoring collar of which urges the first and the second film inward against the contour of the stack of goods in the engagement areas. This procedure basically leads to a sufficient result.
- DE 38 34 535 A1 discloses a method with the preamble features of claim 1. Should or must be increased stacking strength, because the stacks are subject to special stresses during transport and / or because it is the parcel parts are particularly heavy parcel parts , between two mutually adjacent normal layers a flat film can be inserted as an intermediate film, which is greater in terms of their width and / or depth or length than the top or bottom of a normal position. The edge portions of this flat film projecting beyond the respective normal position are connected to the base film section or / and to the film enveloping the top and side surfaces of the article stack.
- the previously known methods are generally expensive. It has been found that the film, in particular a tensioned film over the stack (stretch ha übe), is only conditionally deformable such that it can be applied to the contour of the engagement regions.
- the first hood is fixed relative to the stack, so that an elongation as a result of the forming can be carried out essentially only by those hood section, which is located directly at the height of the special situation. This leads to excessive strains and possibly to the tearing of the film.
- users demand that the engagement areas are freely accessible to the fork legs of a lift truck. Otherwise, it is to be feared that the film is destroyed when retracting the fork legs.
- the present invention is based on the problem to improve the generic method.
- the present invention aims to simplify the generic method in order to be able to efficiently envelope a stack of goods as efficiently as possible, to the envelope of which no separate pallet is required.
- the present invention intends to specify a device which is suitable for carrying out the method.
- the present invention proposes a method having the features of claim 1. In this method, the special layer is deposited on the film to form the stack of goods.
- the stack is not formed in a conventional manner by first all the normal layers and placed as a conclusion of the stack, the special situation on the stack and this is finally completed after the stack was rotated. Rather, the stack is immediately stacked in the necessary alignment with the special situation at the bottom. Furthermore, it is proposed with the present invention that between the special position and the adjacent, ie first normal position, a holding layer is placed and connected to the film. The holding position is accordingly integrated when stacking the stack in the stack. The thus provided in a predetermined manner retaining layer is connected to the film. The bonding of the film with the holding layer is carried out regularly before the complete coating of the film on the stack.
- the film is first connected to the holding position and then placed over the stack, preferably after stacking of all normal layers. This leads to sufficient material of the film being present in order to place it in the engagement regions on the contour of the engagement regions and to connect it to the retaining layer.
- the method according to the invention offers the possibility of forming the film enveloping and covering the stack there following the contour of the engagement areas. Accordingly, the engagement areas are free for the engagement of fork legs of a lift truck.
- the packaging unit according to the invention is accordingly protected in an improved manner against destruction of the envelope during introduction of the fork legs of the lift truck.
- the stack can only be gently wrapped safely with a foil, ie in particular a single hood and thus resources.
- fastening sections are formed by the film material. These attachment portions extend substantially equal in height to the surface of the special situation, ie, for example, are substantially on the special situation for training the Eingriffsbe rich superior surface units of the lowest normal position.
- connection can be made by welding or gluing.
- connection takes place at least in the corner area of the engagement areas, so that the film, which leaves from there downwards, is immediately accessible. adjacent to the vertical surfaces of the special situation extends.
- a further holding position can be arranged at the bottom during stacking, that is, the special situation placed on the further holding position and these are formed following the contour of the special situation. Accordingly, the material of the other special situation is not only on the underside of the stack, but also parallel to those side surfaces which limit the engagement areas on the inside and are formed by the special situation.
- the film is placed before depositing the special situation on a substantially flat storage surface, which is partially formed by shaping jaws. Thereafter, the special layer is placed on the film and the fastening sections are formed by raising the mold jaws.
- the film is first deposited on a substantially flat base device, which also forms the support surface for depositing the special situation.
- This base device includes the height-adjustable mold jaws, which are spaced apart from each other so that they can include the special situation between them. Usually, the inclusion is done with little play.
- the mold jaws can also be moved horizontally to deliver them to the special situation. In a raised position, the surfaces of the mold jaws are substantially equal in height to the top of the special situation.
- the retaining layer is then placed on this plane.
- the retaining layer is connected to the mounting portions of the film.
- the film is held during the raising of the mold jaws under tension.
- the present invention intends to specify in particular a method in which the stack is kept in shape at least on the underside with a foil held under tension.
- the entire stack is covered with a stretch hood, ie clamped under tension circumferentially and / or longitudinally over the film.
- the holding layer is also connected to the film under tension of the film.
- connection area by appropriate Feeding of sheet material at the time of joining are made more relaxed or more stress-relieved, in particular to facilitate the formation of a welded joint. It is thus possible, for example, to provide tension in the contact area with the retaining layer before connecting the fastening sections to the special layer by feeding in film material.
- the holding layer may comprise a plastic layer provided at least on the underside of the same, which is suitable for welding to the film.
- the film is formed before depositing the special situation as a bottom closed film hood.
- the special layer is deposited on the weld, which closes the film hood on the underside.
- the film is closed on the upper side after the wrapping of the stack and separated from a film supply.
- the stack can be completely wrapped and shielded against environmental influences.
- the separation of the film from the film supply is usually carried out by a cutting device which is arranged in its cutting position at a small distance above the stack.
- the film material still connected to the film supply is first welded, the welding device being located at a certain distance above the product stack.
- Refrefollen which are located on the side facing away from the stack of the welding device and through which, for example, in a conventional manner, a predetermined length of the film material can be applied under tension to the stack, the introduced into the film material tensile stress can be reduced. Thereafter, further film material is usually conveyed from the film supply in order to arrange the connection point in the vicinity of the surface of the stack or to create against this.
- a cutter arranged at a short distance from the top allows the cutting off of a protruding remainder of the predetermined length of the film material immediately above a joint through which the top-side closure of the film is effected.
- This device has at least one device for wrapping the stack of goods with a film comprising a refraction device for impinging and coating the film over the stack, as is generally known (cf., for example, EP 1 013 549 A1).
- This reefing device can also be realized in a uniform manner with a stacking device in order to both form the stack of goods by stacking different stacking levels at a single station and to pull the tubular film over the stack of goods. It is also possible to provide a separate station, in which the hose hood is first formed, separated on the underside and teased.
- This hose hood can be stored on a movable frame, which comprises clamping means for holding the reefed film. The thus prepared hose hood is transferred to a stacking position.
- the device according to the invention has a storage surface for depositing the packaging objects, which is formed by a base device.
- This base device has height-adjustable mold jaws, which are vertically movable in the manner already described above.
- the middle station ie between that station, in which rather the hose cap is formed and placed on the base device, and that station in which the coating of the hose cover over the finished stacked stack is provided to provide means for lifting the mold jaws, because only there, ie at the station where at least the normal position is placed on the film material and the holding position is connected to the mounting portions, a lifting of the mold jaws is required.
- the mold jaws is associated with a joining device. With this joining device, the film can be connected in the region of its attachment sections with a retaining layer placed on the special layer.
- This device regularly comprises a cutting device in order to separate a predetermined length section of the holding layer from a supply.
- This stock is, for example, a roll of wound film, cardboard or other windable material.
- the joining device is designed as a welding device whose welding elements interact with the shaping jaws in order to connect the layers of film and special layer provided between the welding elements and the fastening sections.
- the forming jaw may be provided as part of the welding device.
- the welding elements and the mold jaws as part of an ultrasonic welding device.
- this ultrasonic welding device there is the advantage that only small thermal stresses are introduced into the film, so that it can be joined with a relatively high residual stress, without damaging the film is to be feared.
- the cycle time can be reduced since no substantial cooling time must be maintained after welding. It is conceivable to design the shaping jaw as a sonotrode or as an anvil and to provide the welding element as another component of the ultrasonic welding device.
- the welding device provided for welding the fastening section to the retaining layer is designed to be movable in height such that it can be moved to the upper side of the stack to close the film on the upper side to form a film hood.
- the device according to the invention needs only a welding device both for joining of retaining layer and mounting portion as well as for closing the top of the film hood.
- the welding device can also be configured such that the film supplied as an open film tube can be closed on the underside with the welding device before it is deposited on the depositing surface.

- the device further comprises a base device 5, which forms a flat storage surface 6.
- the base device 5 is formed as a divided base and has a middle Leren stationary base portion 7 and two laterally thereto provided for this purpose form jaws 8, which form part of the storage surface 6 in the lowered position shown in Figure 1.
