- the strut suspension used for the front wheels of a four-wheeled vehicle generally has a structure in which a coil spring is combined with a strut assembly in which a hydraulic shock absorber is incorporated in an outer cylinder integrated with a main shaft.
- a synthetic resin thrust sliding bearing may be used instead of the rolling bearing between the strut assembly and the upper spring seat member of the coil spring. is there.
- a mounting plate is used to support one end of the piston rod of the hydraulic shock absorber.
- one end of the piston rod is supported.
- the structure is complicated, resulting in high costs.
- Patent Document 6 describes that a piston rod can be supported at one end instead of a mounting plate of a mechanism for mounting a strut assembly to a vehicle body, and thus the mounting mechanism can be simplified to reduce costs. Proposed thrust slide bearings and a combination mechanism of this thrust slide bearing and piston rod have been proposed.
