 電動自動車等の移動体の駆動源または蓄電装置として用いられるバッテリシステムにおいては、充放電が可能な複数のバッテリモジュールが設けられる。各バッテリモジュールは、複数の電池(バッテリセル)が例えば直列に接続された構成を有する。また、バッテリシステムには、バッテリセルの過充電または過放電等の異常を検出する検出装置が設けられる。
 特許文献1に記載されている車載組電池制御装置においては、組電池を構成する複数のセルグループに対応して簡易セル過充放電検出装置が設けられる。各簡易セル過充放電検出装置は、対応するセルグループのセルに過充電または過放電が発生しているか否かを判定し、その結果を電池コントローラに送信する。

 特許文献1に記載された車載組電池制御装置において、複数の簡易セル過充放電検出装置と電池コントローラとが通信を行うためには、複数の簡易セル過充放電検出装置にそれぞれ異なる識別子(ID)を設定する必要がある。そのため、車載組電池制御装置の製造時に、複数の簡易セル過充放電検出装置にそれぞれ識別子が設定される。
 特許文献2には、システム間接続方式が記載されている。特許文献2に記載されているシステム間接続方式においては、変換回路を有する複数の装置が設けられる。複数の装置の変換回路は信号線によりカスケード接続されている。一の装置の変換回路に例えば識別番号“1”を示す信号が入力されると、変換回路は、当該一の装置に識別番号“1”を設定するとともに、例えば識別番号“2”を示す信号を他の装置の変換回路に信号線を介して送出する。他の装置の変換回路に例えば識別番号“2”を示す信号が入力されると、変換回路は、当該対応する他の装置に識別番号“2”を設定するとともに、例えば識別番号“3”を示す信号をさらに他の装置の変換回路に信号線を介して送出する。このようにして、複数の装置に識別番号が順次設定される。
 しかしながら、車載組電池制御装置の使用時に、いずれかの簡易セル過充放電検出装置が故障した場合、その簡易セル過充放電検出装置を新たな簡易セル過充放電検出装置に交換する必要がある。その場合、使用者が新たな簡易セル過充放電検出装置に他の簡易セル過充放電検出装置の識別子と重複しない識別子を設定することは困難である。
 また、特許文献2には、複数の装置と通信可能な制御装置は設けられていない。そのため、制御装置が複数の装置とそれぞれ通信を行う通信システムに特許文献2のシステム間接続方式を適用した場合、制御装置は、各装置に識別番号が設定されたか否かを認識することができない。また、制御装置は、所望の識別番号等の付与等ができない。したがって、通信の信頼性が確保されない。
 本発明は、通信の信頼性を確保しつつ識別子を容易に設定することが可能なマスタ装置、スレーブ装置、通信システム、バッテリシステム、電動車両、移動体、電力貯蔵装置および電源装置を提供することである。

 各バッテリモジュール100は、複数のバッテリセル10からなるバッテリセル群BL、電圧検出部20、異常検出部30、演算処理装置40、スイッチ回路50、通信ドライバ60および絶縁素子DIa,DIbを含む。バッテリセル群BLの複数のバッテリセル10は直列接続されている。バッテリセル群BLは、互いに隣接するように配置されるとともにバッテリブロックとして一体的に保持されている。バッテリセル群BLには、温度を検出するための複数のサーミスタTH(後述する図11参照)が取り付けられる。各バッテリセル10は、例えばリチウムイオン電池またはニッケル水素電池等の二次電池である。
 複数のバッテリモジュール100のバッテリセル群BLは、電源線を通して直列接続されている。これにより、バッテリシステム500においては、複数のバッテリモジュール100の全てのバッテリセル10が直列接続されている。
 以下の説明において、図1の最低電位を有するバッテリセル10を含むバッテリモジュール100から最高電位を有するバッテリセル10を含むバッテリモジュール100までを1番目~N番目のバッテリモジュール100と呼ぶ。図1では、2番目~(N-2)番目のバッテリモジュール100の図示は省略する。
 (2)通常モード
 各バッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40は、通常モードおよびID(識別子)設定モードに選択的に設定される。まず、各バッテリモジュール100の通常モードにおける各部の動作について説明する。
 電圧検出部20は複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧を検出し、検出した端子電圧の値を示す検出信号DAを演算処理装置40に与える。異常検出部30は、対応するバッテリセル群BLの充放電に関する異常として複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧の異常の有無を検出する。各バッテリセル10の過放電および過充電を防止するために、端子電圧の許容電圧範囲が定められている。異常検出部30は、各バッテリセル10の端子電圧が許容電圧範囲の上限値(以下、上限電圧と呼ぶ。)以上であるか否かを検出するとともに端子電圧が許容電圧範囲の下限値(以下、下限電圧と呼ぶ。)以下であるか否かを検出する。
 異常検出部30は、対応するバッテリセル群BLの少なくとも1つのバッテリセル10の端子電圧が上限電圧以上である場合または下限電圧以下である場合(異常検出時)に、第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBを発生する。異常検出部30は、対応するバッテリセル群BLの全てのバッテリセル10の端子電圧が許容電圧範囲内にある場合(正常検出時)に、第2のデューティ比(例えば25%)を有する検出信号DBを発生する。異常検出部30は、発生した検出信号DBをスイッチ回路50に与える。また、異常検出部30は、状態信号ICを出力する。状態信号ICは、異常検出部30の動作時に“H”レベルとなる。それにより、スイッチ回路50は、異常検出部30により発生される検出信号DBを絶縁素子DIbに出力する。異常検出部30の停止時に“L”レベルとなる。
 演算処理装置40は、絶縁素子DIaおよび通信ドライバ60を介してバッテリECU510と例えばCAN(Controller Area Network)通信を行う。これにより、バッテリECU510は、N個の演算処理装置40に容易にブロードキャスト通信することができる。N個の演算処理装置40とバッテリECU510とにより通信システムが構成される。この場合、バッテリECU510がマスタ装置となり、演算処理装置40がスレーブ装置となる。
 図2は、演算処理装置40の構成を示すブロック図である。図2に示すように、演算処理装置40は、CPU(中央演算処理装置)41、RAM(ランダムアクセスメモリ)42および不揮発性メモリ43を含む。演算処理装置40は、CPU41、RAM42および不揮発性メモリ43の機能を有するマイクロコンピュータであってもよい。
 後述するID設定モードにおいて、RAM42にはIDが記憶される。また、不揮発性メモリ43には、RAM42に記憶したIDが保存される。以下、CPU41の動作を演算処理装置40の動作として説明する。
 演算処理装置40は、電圧検出部20から与えられた検出信号DAに基づいて、複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧の値をバッテリECU510に送信する。また、演算処理装置40は、後述する図11のサーミスタTHから与えられるバッテリモジュール100の温度の値をバッテリECU510に送信する。さらに、演算処理装置40は、複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧の値および温度の値を用いた各種演算処理および判定処理を行う。さらに、演算処理装置40は、バッテリECU510から各種指令信号をバスBSおよび通信ドライバ60を介して受信する。
 後述するID設定モードにおいて、演算処理装置40は、後述するID設定信号ISをスイッチ回路50に与える。スイッチ回路50は、異常検出部30から出力される状態信号ICに基づいて、異常検出部30から与えられる検出信号DBおよび演算処理装置40から与えられるID設定信号ISの一方を選択的に出力する。通常モードにおいては、スイッチ回路50は、異常検出部30から与えられる検出信号DBを絶縁素子DIbに出力する。後述するID設定モードにおいては、スイッチ回路50は、演算処理装置40から与えられるID設定信号ISを絶縁素子DIbに出力する。
 バッテリECU510は、信号線Pを介してN番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbと接続される。N番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbは、信号線Pを介して(N-1)番目の絶縁素子DIbと接続される。(N-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbは、信号線Pn-1を介して(N-2)番目の絶縁素子DIbと接続される。同様に、2番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbは、信号線Pを介して1番目の絶縁素子DIbと接続される。1番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbは、信号線Pを介してバッテリECU510と接続される。
 このように、バッテリECU510および1番目~N番目のバッテリモジュール100は、信号線P~Pにより接続される。なお、通常モードにおいては、信号線Pは使用されない。
 通常モードにおいては、N番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30により発生される検出信号DBは、スイッチ回路50、絶縁素子DIb、信号線Pおよび(N-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbを介して(N-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30に与えられる。(N-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30により発生される検出信号DBは、スイッチ回路50、絶縁素子DIb、信号線Pn-1および(N-2)番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbを介して(N-2)番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30に与えられる。
 同様に、2番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30により発生される検出信号DBは、スイッチ回路50、絶縁素子DIb、信号線Pおよび1番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbを介して1番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30に与えられる。1番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30により発生される検出信号DBは、スイッチ回路50、絶縁素子DIbおよび信号線Pを介してバッテリECU510に与えられる。
 図3は、バッテリECU510の構成を示すブロック図である。図3に示すように、バッテリECU510は、MPU(マイクロプロセッサ)511およびメモリ512を含む。メモリ512には、通常モードにおけるプログラムおよびID設定モードにおけるプログラムが記憶される。MPU511は、メモリ512に記憶されるプログラムに従って動作する。以下、MPU511の動作をバッテリECU510の動作として説明する。
 バッテリECU510は、バッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40から与えられた複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧の値に基づいて各バッテリセル10の充電量を算出する。また、バッテリECU510は、各バッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40から与えられた複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧の値および温度に基づいて各バッテリモジュール100のバッテリセル群BLの充放電に関する異常の有無を判定する。バッテリモジュール100のバッテリセル群BLの充放電に関する異常とは、例えば、バッテリセル群BLに流れる電流、バッテリセル10の端子電圧、SOC(充電量)、過放電、過充電または温度の異常等を含む。
 さらに、バッテリECU510は、1番目のバッテリモジュール100から与えられる検出信号DBに基づいて、バッテリモジュール100の複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧の異常の有無を検出する。
 N番目のバッテリモジュール100の最も高電位のプラス電極に接続される電源線および1番目のバッテリモジュール100の最も低電位のマイナス電極に接続される電源線は、コンタクタ520に接続される。また、コンタクタ520は、HVコネクタ530を介して電動車両のモータ等の負荷に接続される。バッテリECU510は、バッテリモジュール100に異常が発生した場合、コンタクタ520をオフする。これにより、異常時には、複数のバッテリセル10に電流が流れないので、バッテリモジュール100の異常発熱が防止される。
 バッテリECU510は、バスを介して電動車両の主制御部300(後述する図12参照)に接続される。バッテリECU510から主制御部300に各バッテリモジュール100の充電量(バッテリセル10の充電量)が与えられる。主制御部300は、その充電量に基づいて電動車両の動力(例えばモータの回転速度)を制御する。また、各バッテリモジュール100の充電量が少なくなると、主制御部300は、電源線に接続された図示しない発電装置を制御して各バッテリモジュール100を充電する。
 (3)電圧検出部および異常検出部の構成
 図4は、電圧検出部20および異常検出部30の構成を示すブロック図である。電圧検出部20は、例えばASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuit:特定用途向け集積回路)からなる。電圧検出部20は、複数の差動増幅器21、マルチプレクサ22、A/D(アナログ/デジタル)変換器23および通信回路24を含む。なお、図4には、図1の状態信号ICを出力する信号出力回路は図示されない。
 各差動増幅器21は2つの入力端子および出力端子を有する。各差動増幅器21は、2つの入力端子に入力された電圧を差動増幅し、増幅された電圧を出力端子から出力する。各差動増幅器21の2つの入力端子は、それぞれ導体線W1により対応するバッテリセル10のプラス電極およびマイナス電極に接続される。これにより、各バッテリセル10のプラス電極とマイナス電極との間の電圧が各差動増幅器21により差動増幅される。各差動増幅器21の出力電圧は各バッテリセル10の端子電圧に相当する。複数の差動増幅器21から出力される端子電圧はマルチプレクサ22に与えられる。マルチプレクサ22は、複数の差動増幅器21から与えられる端子電圧を順次A/D変換器23に出力する。
 A/D変換器23は、マルチプレクサ22から出力される端子電圧をデジタル値に変換する。A/D変換器23により得られたデジタル値は、端子電圧の値を示す検出信号DAとして通信回路24を介して演算処理装置40(図1参照)に与えられる。
 異常検出部30は、例えばASICからなる。異常検出部30は、複数の差動増幅器31、マルチプレクサ32、スイッチ回路33、基準電圧出力部34,35、コンパレータ36、検出信号出力回路37および通信回路38a,38bを含む。
 各差動増幅器31は2つの入力端子および出力端子を有する。各差動増幅器31は、2つの入力端子に入力された電圧を差動増幅し、増幅された電圧を出力端子から出力する。各差動増幅器31の2つの入力端子は、それぞれ導体線W1により対応するバッテリセル10のプラス電極およびマイナス電極に接続される。これにより、各バッテリセル10のプラス電極とマイナス電極との間の電圧が各差動増幅器31により差動増幅される。各差動増幅器31の出力電圧は各バッテリセル10の端子電圧に相当する。複数の差動増幅器31から出力される端子電圧はマルチプレクサ32に与えられる。マルチプレクサ32は、複数の差動増幅器31から与えられる端子電圧を順次コンパレータ36に出力する。
 スイッチ回路33は、端子CP0,CP1,CP2を有する。基準電圧出力部34は、スイッチ回路33の端子CP1に上限電圧Vth_Oを出力する。基準電圧出力部35は出力端子CP2に下限電圧Vth_Uを出力する。上限電圧Vth_Oは例えば4.2V(4.19V以上4.21V以下)に設定され、下限電圧Vth_Uは例えば約2.0V(1.99V以上2.01V以下)に設定される。
 コンパレータ36は2つの入力端子および出力端子を有する。コンパレータ36の一方の入力端子はマルチプレクサ32に接続される。コンパレータ36の他方の入力端子はスイッチ回路33の端子CP0に接続される。スイッチ回路33は、一定周期で端子CP0が複数の端子CP1,CP2に交互に接続されるように切り替わる。これにより、コンパレータ36の一方の入力端子にはマルチプレクサ32から出力される端子電圧が与えられるとともに、コンパレータ36の他方の入力端子には上限電圧Vth_Oおよび下限電圧Vth_Uが交互に与えられる。この場合、コンパレータ36は、マルチプレクサ32から与えられるバッテリセル10の端子電圧を上限電圧Vth_Oおよび下限電圧Vth_Uと順に比較し、比較結果を示す信号を検出信号出力回路37に出力する。
 検出信号出力回路37は、コンパレータ36の出力信号に基づいて、複数のバッテリセル10の少なくとも1つの端子電圧が上限電圧Vth_O以上であるか否かを判定するとともに、複数のバッテリセル10の少なくとも1つの端子電圧が下限電圧Vth_U以下であるか否かを判定する。
 複数のバッテリセル10の少なくとも1つの端子電圧が上限電圧Vth_O以上である場合または下限電圧Vth_U以下である場合、検出信号出力回路37は対応するバッテリセル群BLの端子電圧が異常であると判定する。全てのバッテリセル10の端子電圧が上限電圧Vth_O未満でありかつ下限電圧Vth_Uを超えている場合、検出信号出力回路37は、対応するバッテリセル群BLの端子電圧が正常であると判定する。
 N番目のバッテリモジュール100においては、通信回路38aには検出信号が入力されない。検出信号出力回路37は、対応するバッテリセル群BLの端子電圧が異常であると判定した場合に、第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBを発生する。検出信号出力回路37は、対応するバッテリセル群BLの端子電圧が正常であると判定した場合に、第2のデューティ比(例えば25%)を有する検出信号DBを発生する。通信回路38bは、検出信号出力回路37により発生される検出信号DBをスイッチ回路50、絶縁素子DIbおよび信号線Pを介して(N-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30に与える。
 i番目(iは2~(N-1)の任意の自然数)のバッテリモジュール100の電圧検出部20および異常検出部30の構成は、次の点を除いてN番目のバッテリモジュール100の電圧検出部20および異常検出部30の構成と動作と同様である。
 i番目のバッテリモジュール100においては、通信回路38aは、(i+1)番目のバッテリモジュール100から与えられる検出信号DBを検出信号出力回路37に与える。検出信号出力回路37は、対応するバッテリセル群BLの端子電圧が異常であると判定した場合または通信回路38aから与えられる検出信号が第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する場合に、第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBを発生する。検出信号出力回路37は、対応するバッテリセル群BLの端子電圧が正常であると判定しかつ通信回路38aから与えられる検出信号が第2のデューティ比(例えば25%)を有する場合に、第2のデューティ比(例えば25%)を有する検出信号DBを発生する。通信回路38bは、検出信号出力回路37により発生される検出信号DBを(i-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100に与える。
 1番目のバッテリモジュール100の電圧検出部20および異常検出部30の構成は、次の点を除いてi番目のバッテリモジュール100の電圧検出部20および異常検出部30の構成と動作と同様である。1番目のバッテリモジュール100においては、通信回路38bは、検出信号出力回路37により発生される検出信号DBを信号線Pを介してバッテリECU510に与える。
 バッテリモジュール100の全てのバッテリセル10の端子電圧が正常であると判定された場合、バッテリECU510は、1番目のバッテリモジュール100から第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBを取得する。一方、バッテリモジュール100の少なくとも1つのバッテリセル10の端子電圧が異常であると判定された場合、バッテリECU510は、1番目のバッテリモジュール100から第2のデューティ比(例えば25%)を有する検出信号DBを取得する。それにより、バッテリECU510は、バッテリモジュール100の複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧の異常の有無を検出することができる。
 (4)電圧検出部および異常検出部の他の例
 バッテリモジュール100に含まれるバッテリセル群BLのバッテリセル10の数が多い場合、または電圧検出部20もしくは異常検出部30の耐圧が小さい場合には、各バッテリモジュール100は、直列に接続された複数の電圧検出部20および複数の異常検出部30を含んでもよい。
 図5は、各バッテリモジュール100が複数の電圧検出部20および複数の異常検出部30を含む場合の構成を示すブロック図である。図5には、バッテリモジュール100の構成が示される。図5の例では、バッテリモジュール100は、3個の電圧検出部20および3個の異常検出部30を含む。
 一の電圧検出部20(以下、低電位電圧検出部20Lと呼ぶ。)は、複数のバッテリセル10のうち低電位側の1/3の数のバッテリセル10(以下、低電位バッテリセル群10Lと呼ぶ。)に対応する。他の電圧検出部20(以下、中電位電圧検出部20Mと呼ぶ。)は、複数のバッテリセル10のうち中電位の1/3の数のバッテリセル10(以下、中電位バッテリセル群10Mと呼ぶ。)に対応する。さらに他の電圧検出部20(以下、高電位電圧検出部20Hと呼ぶ。)は、複数のバッテリセル10のうち高電位側の1/3の数(本例では6個)のバッテリセル10(以下、高電位バッテリセル群10Hと呼ぶ。)に対応する。
 低電位電圧検出部20Lは、低電位バッテリセル群10Lの複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧を検出する。中電位電圧検出部20Mは、中電位バッテリセル群10Mの複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧を検出する。高電位電圧検出部20Hは、高電位バッテリセル群10Hの複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧を検出する。
 高電位電圧検出部20Hの通信回路24(図4参照)から出力される検出信号DAは中電位電圧検出部20Mの通信回路24(図4参照)を経由して低電位電圧検出部20Lの通信回路24(図4参照)に与えられ、低電位電圧検出部20Lの通信回路24から演算処理装置40に与えられる。中電位電圧検出部20Mの通信回路24から出力される検出信号DAは低電位電圧検出部20Lの通信回路24に与えられ、低電位電圧検出部20Lの通信回路24から演算処理装置40に与えられる。低電位電圧検出部20Lの通信回路24から出力される検出信号DAは演算処理装置40に与えられる。
 一の異常検出部30(以下、低電位異常検出部30Lと呼ぶ。)は、低電位バッテリセル群10Lに対応する。他の異常検出部30(以下、中電位異常検出部30Mと呼ぶ。)は、中電位バッテリセル群10Mに対応する。さらに他の異常検出部30(以下、高電位異常検出部30Hと呼ぶ。)は、高電位バッテリセル群10Hに対応する。
 低電位異常検出部30Lは、低電位バッテリセル群10Lの複数のバッテリセル10の異常の有無を検出する。中電位異常検出部30Mは、中電位バッテリセル群10Mの複数のバッテリセル10の異常の有無を検出する。高電位異常検出部30Hは、高電位バッテリセル群10Hの複数のバッテリセル10の異常の有無を検出する。
 この場合、高電位異常検出部30Hの通信回路38b(図4参照)と中電位異常検出部30Mの通信回路38a(図4参照)とが接続される。中電位異常検出部30Mの通信回路38b(図4参照)と低電位異常検出部30Lの通信回路38a(図4参照)とが接続される。低電位異常検出部30Lの通信回路38b(図4参照)はスイッチ回路50(図1参照)に接続される。
 i番目(iは2~(N-1)の自然数)のバッテリモジュール100の高電位異常検出部30Hには、(i+1)番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30(低電位異常検出部30L)から検出信号DBが与えられる。i番目のバッテリモジュール100の高電位異常検出部30Hにおいて、検出信号出力回路37(図4参照)は、対応する高電位バッテリセル群10Hの端子電圧が異常であると判定した場合または通信回路38aにより第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBが与えられた場合に、第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBHを発生する。また、検出信号出力回路37は、対応する高電位バッテリセル群10Hの端子電圧が正常であると判定しかつ通信回路38aにより第2のデューティ比(例えば25%)を有する検出信号DBが与えられた場合に、第2のデューティ比(例えば25%)を有する検出信号DBHを発生する。通信回路38b(図4参照)は、検出信号出力回路37により発生される検出信号DBHを中電位異常検出部30Mに与える。
 中電位異常検出部30Mにおいて、通信回路38a(図4参照)は、高電位異常検出部30Hにより与えられた検出信号DBHを検出信号出力回路37(図4参照)に与える。検出信号出力回路37は、対応する中電位バッテリセル群10Mの端子電圧が異常であると判定した場合または通信回路38aにより第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBHが与えられた場合に、第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBMを発生する。また、検出信号出力回路37は、対応する中電位バッテリセル群10Mの端子電圧が正常であると判定しかつ通信回路38aにより第2のデューティ比(例えば25%)を有する検出信号DBHが与えられた場合に、第2のデューティ比(例えば25%)を有する検出信号DBMを発生する。通信回路38b(図4参照)は、検出信号出力回路37により発生される検出信号DBMを低電位異常検出部30Lに与える。
 低電位異常検出部30Lにおいて、通信回路38a(図4参照)は、中電位異常検出部30Mにより与えられた検出信号DBMを検出信号出力回路37(図4参照)に与える。検出信号出力回路37は、対応する低電位バッテリセル群10Lの端子電圧が異常であると判定した場合または通信回路38aにより第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBMが与えられた場合に、第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBLを発生する。また、検出信号出力回路37は、対応する低電位バッテリセル群10Lの端子電圧が正常であると判定しかつ通信回路38aにより第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBMが与えられた場合に、正常を示す例えば“L”レベルの検出信号DBLを発生する。通信回路38b(図4参照)は、検出信号出力回路37により発生される検出信号DBLを検出信号DBとして(i-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30(高電位異常検出部30H)に与える。
 N番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30の動作は、次の点を除いてi番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30の動作と同様である。N番目のバッテリモジュール100の高電位異常検出部30Hの通信回路38aには、検出信号DBが与えられない。そのため、N番目のバッテリモジュール100の高電位異常検出部30Hにおいて、検出信号出力回路37(図4参照)は、対応する高電位バッテリセル群10Hの端子電圧が異常であると判定した場合に、第1のデューティ比(例えば75%)を有する検出信号DBHを発生する。また、検出信号出力回路37は、対応する高電位バッテリセル群10Hの端子電圧が正常であると判定した場合に、第2のデューティ比(例えば25%)を有する検出信号DBHを発生する。
 1番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30の動作は、次の点を除いてi番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30の動作と同様である。1番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30の通信回路38b(図4参照)は、検出信号出力回路37により発生される検出信号DBLを検出信号DBとしてバッテリECU510に与える。
 (5)プリント回路基板の一構成例
 図1の各バッテリモジュール100の電圧検出部20、異常検出部30、演算処理装置40、スイッチ回路50、通信ドライバ60および絶縁素子DIa,DIbは、リジッドプリント回路基板(以下、プリント回路基板と呼ぶ。)に実装される。図6は、バッテリモジュール100のプリント回路基板の一構成例を示す模式的平面図である。図6に示すように、プリント回路基板110には、コネクタCNa,CNb,CNcがさらに実装される。また、プリント回路基板110は、第1の実装領域MT1、第2の実装領域MT2および帯状の絶縁領域INSを有する。
 第2の実装領域MT2は、プリント回路基板110の1つの角部に形成される。絶縁領域INSは、第2の実装領域MT2に沿って延びるように形成される。第1の実装領域MT1は、プリント回路基板110の残りの部分に形成される。第1の実装領域MT1と第2の実装領域MT2とは絶縁領域INSにより互いに分離される。それにより、第1の実装領域MT1と第2の実装領域MT2とは絶縁領域INSにより電気的に絶縁される。
 第1の実装領域MT1には、電圧検出部20、異常検出部30、演算処理装置40およびスイッチ回路50が実装される。電圧検出部20、異常検出部30、演算処理装置40およびスイッチ回路50の電源として、バッテリセル群BLの複数のバッテリセル10が電圧検出部20、異常検出部30、演算処理装置40およびスイッチ回路50に接続される。
 電圧検出部20、異常検出部30、演算処理装置40およびスイッチ回路50の実装領域ならびに接続線の形成領域を除いて、第1の実装領域MT1にグランドパターンGND1が形成される。グランドパターンGND1は、バッテリセル群BLの複数のバッテリセル10の基準電位(グランド電位)に保持される。
 第2の実装領域MT2には、通信ドライバ60およびコネクタCNa~CNcが実装される。通信ドライバ60の電源として、電動車両の非動力用バッテリBATが通信ドライバ60に接続される。
 通信ドライバ60およびコネクタCNa~CNcの実装領域ならびに複数の接続線の形成領域を除いて、第2の実装領域MT2にグランドパターンGND2が形成される。グランドパターンGND2は非動力用バッテリBATの基準電位(グランド電位)に保持される。
 このように、電圧検出部20、異常検出部30、演算処理装置40およびスイッチ回路50にはバッテリセル群BLの複数のバッテリセル10により電力が供給され、通信ドライバ60には、非動力用バッテリBATにより電力が供給される。それにより、通信ドライバ60を電圧検出部20、異常検出部30、演算処理装置40およびスイッチ回路50から独立に安定して動作させることができる。
 絶縁素子DIaは、絶縁領域INSをまたぐように実装される。絶縁素子DIaは、演算処理装置40と通信ドライバ60とを互いに電気的に絶縁しつつ電圧検出部20と演算処理装置40との間で信号を伝送する。絶縁素子DIbは、絶縁領域INSをまたぐように実装される。絶縁素子DIbは、スイッチ回路50とコネクタCNbとを互いに電気的に絶縁しつつスイッチ回路50とコネクタCNbとの間で信号を伝送する。また、絶縁素子DIbは、異常検出部30の通信回路38a(図4参照)とコネクタCNcとを互いに電気的に絶縁しつつ異常検出部30の通信回路38aとコネクタCNcとの間で信号を伝送する。さらに、絶縁素子DIbは、演算処理装置40とコネクタCNcとを互いに電気的に絶縁しつつ演算処理装置40とコネクタCNcとの間で信号を伝送する。絶縁素子DIa,DIbとしては、例えばデジタルアイソレータまたはフォトカプラ等を用いることができる。本実施の形態においては、絶縁素子DIa,DIbとしてデジタルアイソレータを用いる。
 通信ドライバ60とコネクタCNaとが接続される。これにより、演算処理装置40から出力される複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧の値およびバッテリモジュール100の温度の値がコネクタCNaに与えられる。コネクタCNaには図1のバスBSが接続される。
 N番目のバッテリモジュール100のコネクタCNcは、信号線Pを介してバッテリECU510と接続される。N番目のバッテリモジュール100のコネクタCNbは、信号線Pを介して(N-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100のコネクタCNcと接続される。(N-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100のコネクタCNbは、信号線Pn-1を介して(N-2)番目のバッテリモジュール100のコネクタCNcと接続される。同様に、2番目のバッテリモジュール100のコネクタCNbは、信号線Pを介して1番目のバッテリモジュール100のコネクタCNcと接続される。1番目のバッテリモジュール100のコネクタCNbは、信号線Pを介してバッテリECU510と接続される。
 (6)ID設定モード
 バッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40は、ID設定処理の開始を示すID設定開始信号をバスBSを介してバッテリECU510から受信することにより、ID設定モードに移行する。各バッテリモジュール100のID設定モードにおける各部の動作について説明する。
 ID設定モードにおいて、演算処理装置40は、異常検出部30の機能を停止させる。この場合、異常検出部30から出力される状態信号ICが“L”レベルになる。それにより、スイッチ回路50は、演算処理装置40により与えられるID設定信号ISを出力可能な状態に切り替えられる。
 ID設定モードにおいては、バッテリECU510により発生されるID設定信号ISは、信号線P、およびN番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbを介してN番目のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40に与えられる。
 N番目のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40により発生されるID設定信号ISは、スイッチ回路50、絶縁素子DIb、信号線Pおよび(N-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbを介して(N-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40に与えられる。(N-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40により発生されるID設定信号ISは、スイッチ回路50、絶縁素子DIb、信号線Pn-1および(N-2)番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbを介して(N-2)番目のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40に与えられる。
 同様に、2番目のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40により発生されるID設定信号ISは、スイッチ回路50、絶縁素子DIb、信号線Pおよび1番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbを介して1番目のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40に与えられる。なお、ID設定モードにおいては、信号線Pは使用されない。
 各演算処理装置40は、IDが設定されていない状態では、バッテリECU510からバスBSを通して各種信号、指令および通知等のメッセージの受信のみを行うことができる。また、各演算処理装置40はIDが設定された後には、バッテリECU510からバスBSを通して各種信号、指令および通知等のメッセージの送信および受信を行うことができる。
 (7)ID設定処理
 バッテリECU510によるバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40に対するID設定処理を説明する。図7および図8は、バッテリECU510によるバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40に対するID設定処理を示すフローチャートである。以下、1番目~N番目のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40をそれぞれ1番目~N番目の演算処理装置40と呼ぶ。
 まず、バッテリECU510は、ID設定処理の開始を示すID設定開始信号をブロードキャスト通信によりバスBSを介して1番目~N番目の演算処理装置40に送信する(ステップS1)。これにより、全ての演算処理装置40が通常モードからID設定モードに移行する。この場合、演算処理装置40は、電圧検出部20および異常検出部30の動作を停止させる。それにより、異常検出部30から出力される状態信号ICが“L”レベルになる。その結果、スイッチ回路50は演算処理装置40から出力されるID設定信号ISを選択的に出力可能な状態に切り替えられる。
 次に、バッテリECU510は、信号線Pを介してN番目の演算処理装置40に“H”レベルのN番目のID設定信号ISを出力する(ステップS2)。これにより、N番目の演算処理装置40は、IDの設定を指令される。続いて、バッテリECU510は、バスBSを介してID“N”を送信する(ステップS3)。これにより、N番目の演算処理装置40がバスBSを介してID“N”を受信する。
 ここで、N番目の演算処理装置40は、受信したID“N”をRAM42(図2参照)に記憶する。これにより、N番目の演算処理装置40にID“N”が設定される。その結果、N番目の演算処理装置40は、バスBSを通してバッテリECU510とメッセージの送受信が可能になる。N番目の演算処理装置40は、ID設定の完了通知をバスBSを介してバッテリECU510に送信する。
 一方、バッテリECU510は、N番目の演算処理装置40からID設定の完了通知を受信するまで待機する(ステップS4)。N番目の演算処理装置40からID設定の完了通知を受信すると、バッテリECU510は、変数i(2~Nまでの自然数)の値を“N”に設定する(ステップS5)。その後、バッテリECU510は、バスBSを介してi番目の演算処理装置40が“H”レベルの(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISを出力するようにi番目の演算処理装置40に指令する(ステップS6)。
 バスBSを介して“H”レベルの(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の指令をバッテリECU510から受信すると、i番目の演算処理装置40は、“H”レベルの(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISを出力する。その後、i番目の演算処理装置40は、(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の完了通知をバスBSを介してバッテリECU510に送信する。i番目の演算処理装置40により出力された“H”レベルの(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISは、信号線を介して(i-1)番目番目の演算処理装置40に与えられる。これにより、(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40は、IDの設定を指令される。
 一方、バッテリECU510は、i番目の演算処理装置40から(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の完了通知を受信するまで待機する(ステップS7)。i番目の演算処理装置40から(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の完了通知を受信すると、バッテリECU510は、バスBSを介してID“i-1”を送信する(ステップS8)。これにより、(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40は、バスBSを介してID“i-1”を受信する。
 ここで、(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40は、受信したID“i-1”をRAM42(図2参照)に記憶する。これにより、(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40にID“i-1”が設定される。その結果、(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40は、バスBSを通してバッテリECU510とメッセージの送受信が可能になる。(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40は、ID設定の完了通知をバスBSを介してバッテリECU510に送信する。
 一方、バッテリECU510は、(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40からID設定の完了通知を受信するまで待機する(ステップS9)。(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40からID設定の完了通知を受信すると、バッテリECU510は、変数iの値を“i-1”に更新する(ステップS10)。次に、バッテリECU510は、変数iの値が1か否かを判定する(ステップS11)。
 変数iの値が1でない場合、バッテリECU510は、ステップS6の処理に戻る。変数iの値が1になるまでステップS6~S11の処理を繰り返す。それにより、(N-1)番目~1番目の演算処理装置40は、ID“N-1”~“1”をRAM42(図2参照)にそれぞれ記憶する。その結果、(N-1)番目~1番目の演算処理装置40にID“N-1”~“1”がそれぞれ設定される。
 変数iの値が1である場合、バッテリECU510は、バスBSを介して1番目~N番目の演算処理装置40にID設定処理の終了通知を送信する(ステップS12)。これにより、全ての演算処理装置40がID設定モードから通常モードに移行する。
 (8)演算処理装置の動作
 バッテリECU510のID設定処理時の演算処理装置40の動作を説明する。図9および図10は、ID設定処理時の演算処理装置40の動作を示すフローチャートである。
 ここでは、i番目(iは1~Nの自然数)の演算処理装置40の動作について説明する。演算処理装置40は、起動時に通常モードに移行し(ステップS21)、通常モードで動作する(ステップS22)。また、演算処理装置40は、バスBSを介してバッテリECU510からID設定開始信号を受信したか否かを判定する(ステップS23)。ID設定開始信号を受信しない場合、演算処理装置40はステップS22の処理に戻り、通常モードでの動作を行う。
 ID設定開始信号を受信した場合、演算処理装置40は、ID設定モードに移行する(ステップS24)。その後、演算処理装置40は、信号線を介して“H”レベルのi番目のID設定信号ISを受信するまで待機する(ステップS25)。“H”レベルのi番目のID設定信号ISを受信した場合、演算処理装置40は、IDの設定を指令される。この場合、演算処理装置40は、バスBSを介してバッテリECU510からIDを受信するまで待機する(ステップS26)。
 IDを受信した場合、演算処理装置40は、受信したIDをRAM42(図2参照)に記憶する(ステップS27)。これにより、演算処理装置40にIDが設定される。その結果、演算処理装置40は、バスBSを通してバッテリECU510とメッセージの送受信が可能になる。この場合、演算処理装置40は、バスBSを介してバッテリECU510にID設定の完了通知を送信する(ステップS28)。
 次に、演算処理装置40は、バスBSを介してバッテリECU510からID設定処理の終了通知を受信したか否かを判定する(ステップS29)。ID設定処理の終了通知を受信していない場合、演算処理装置40は、バスBSを介してバッテリECU510から“H”レベルの(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の指令を受信したか否かを判定する(ステップS30)。
 “H”レベルの(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の指令を受信していない場合、演算処理装置40は、ステップS29の処理に戻る。“H”レベルの(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の指令を受信した場合、演算処理装置40は、信号線を介して“H”レベルの(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISを(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40に出力する(ステップS31)。続いて、演算処理装置40は、バスBSを介してバッテリECU510に(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の完了通知を送信する(ステップS32)。その後、演算処理装置40は、ステップS29の処理に戻る。
 ステップS29において、ID設定処理の終了通知を受信した場合、演算処理装置40は、RAM42(図2参照)に記憶したIDを不揮発性メモリ43(図2参照)に保存し、ステップS21の処理に戻る。これにより、全ての演算処理装置40がID設定モードから通常モードに移行する。以下、ステップS22,S23の処理が繰り返されることにより、演算処理装置40は通常モードでの動作を行う。
 (9)バッテリモジュール
 バッテリモジュール100の構造について説明する。図11は、バッテリモジュール100の一例を示す外観斜視図である。なお、図11においては、矢印X,Y,Zで示すように、互いに直交する三方向をX方向、Y方向およびZ方向と定義する。なお、本例では、X方向およびY方向が水平面に平行な方向であり、Z方向が水平面に直交する方向である。また、上方向は矢印Zが向く方向である。
 図11に示すように、バッテリモジュール100においては、扁平な略直方体形状を有する複数のバッテリセル10がX方向に並ぶように配置される。略板形状を有する一対の端面枠EPがYZ平面に平行に配置される。一対の上端枠FR1および一対の下端枠FR2は、X方向に延びるように配置される。一対の端面枠EPの四隅には、一対の上端枠FR1および一対の下端枠FR2を接続するための接続部が形成される。一対の端面枠EPの間に複数のバッテリセル10が配置された状態で、一対の端面枠EPの上側の接続部に一対の上端枠FR1が取り付けられ、一対の端面枠EPの下側の接続部に一対の下端枠FR2が取り付けられる。これにより、複数のバッテリセル10が、一対の端面枠EP、一対の上端枠FR1および一対の下端枠FR2により一体的に固定される。複数のバッテリセル10、一対の端面枠EP、一対の上端枠FR1および一対の下端枠FR2により略直方体形状のバッテリブロックBLKが構成される。バッテリブロックBLKは図1のバッテリセル群BLを含む。
 一方の端面枠EPには、プリント回路基板110が取り付けられる。バッテリブロックBLKの側面には、バッテリモジュール100の温度を検出する複数のサーミスタTHが取り付けられる。
 ここで、各バッテリセル10は、Y方向に沿って並ぶようにバッテリブロックBLKの上面にプラス電極10aおよびマイナス電極10bを有する。バッテリモジュール100において、各バッテリセル10は、隣接するバッテリセル10間でY方向におけるプラス電極10aおよびマイナス電極10bの位置関係が互いに逆になるように配置される。また、複数のバッテリセル10の一方の電極10a,10bがX方向に沿って一列に並び、複数のバッテリセル10の他方の電極10a,10bがX方向に沿って一列に並ぶ。
 それにより、隣接する2個のバッテリセル10間では、一方のバッテリセル10のプラス電極10aと他方のバッテリセル10のマイナス電極10bとが近接し、一方のバッテリセル10のマイナス電極10bと他方のバッテリセル10のプラス電極10aとが近接する。この状態で、近接する2個の電極10a,10bに、例えば銅からなるバスバーBBが取り付けられる。これにより、複数のバッテリセル10が直列接続される。
 Y方向における複数のバッテリセル10の一端部側には、X方向に延びる長尺状のフレキシブルプリント回路基板(以下、FPC基板と略記する。)120が複数のバスバーBBに共通して接続される。同様に、Y方向における複数のバッテリセル10の他端部側には、X方向に延びる長尺状のFPC基板120が複数のバスバーBBに共通して接続される。
 FPC基板120は、主として絶縁層上に後述する図4の複数の導体線W1が形成された構成を有し、屈曲性および可撓性を有する。FPC基板120を構成する絶縁層の材料としては例えばポリイミドが用いられ、導体線W1の材料としては例えば銅が用いられる。各FPC基板120は、バッテリブロックBLKの一方の端面枠EPの上端部分で内側に向かって直角に折り返され、さらに下方に向かって折り返され、プリント回路基板110に接続される。これにより、図1の電圧検出部20および異常検出部30がバッテリセル10のプラス電極10aおよびマイナス電極10bに接続される。
 (10)効果
 この通信システムであるバッテリシステム500において、マスタ装置であり制御装置であるバッテリECU510は、1番目からN番目までの複数のバッテリモジュール100の処理装置である演算処理装置40と通信線であるバスBSにより接続される。1番目からN番目までの複数のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40は、それぞれ1番目からN番目までの演算処理装置40である。
 バッテリECU510は、N番目の演算処理装置40に識別子であるIDの設定を指令するN番目の設定信号であるID設定信号ISを出力するとともにN番目の演算処理装置40のIDをバスBSへ送信する。N番目の演算処理装置40は、N番目のID設定信号ISを受けた場合にバッテリECU510により送信されるN番目の演算処理装置40のIDを記憶する。それにより、バッテリECU510により送信されたN番目の演算処理装置40のIDがN番目の演算処理装置40に設定される。その結果、バッテリECU510はIDを用いてN番目の演算処理装置40に指令の送信が可能となり、N番目の演算処理装置40はバッテリECU510からの指令の受信が可能となる。
 バッテリECU510は、i番目(iはNから2までの自然数)の演算処理装置40が(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40へ(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISを出力するようにi番目の演算処理装置40に指令するとともに(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40のIDをバスBSへ送信する。一方、i番目の演算処理装置40は、(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の指令に応答して(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40へ(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISを出力する。(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40は、(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISを受けた場合にバッテリECU510により送信される(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40のIDを記憶し、このような動作がN番目から2番目の演算処理装置40の順に行われる。
 すなわち、バッテリECU510は、N番目の演算処理装置40が(N-1)番目の演算処理装置40へ(N-1)番目のID設定信号ISを出力するようにN番目の演算処理装置40に指令するとともに(N-1)番目の演算処理装置40のIDをバスBSへ送信する。一方、N番目の演算処理装置40は、(N-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の指令に応答して(N-1)番目の演算処理装置40へ(N-1)番目のID設定信号ISを出力する。(N-1)番目の演算処理装置40は、(N-1)番目のID設定信号ISを受けた場合にバッテリECU510により送信される(N-1)番目の演算処理装置40のIDを記憶する。
 次に、バッテリECU510は、(N-1)番目の演算処理装置40が(N-2)番目の演算処理装置40へ(N-2)番目のID設定信号ISを出力するように(N-1)番目の演算処理装置40に指令するとともに(N-2)番目の演算処理装置40のIDをバスBSへ送信する。一方、(N-1)番目の演算処理装置40は、(N-2)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の指令に応答して(N-2)番目の演算処理装置40へ(N-2)番目のID設定信号ISを出力する。(N-2)番目の演算処理装置40は、(N-2)番目のID設定信号ISを受けた場合にバッテリECU510により送信される(N-2)番目の演算処理装置40のIDを記憶する。
 続いて、バッテリECU510は、(N-2)番目の演算処理装置40が(N-3)番目の演算処理装置40へ(N-3)番目のID設定信号ISを出力するように(N-2)番目の演算処理装置40に指令するとともに(N-3)番目の演算処理装置40のIDをバスBSへ送信する。一方、(N-2)番目の演算処理装置40は、(N-3)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の指令に応答して(N-3)番目の演算処理装置40へ(N-3)番目のID設定信号ISを出力する。(N-3)番目の演算処理装置40は、(N-3)番目のID設定信号ISを受けた場合にバッテリECU510により送信される(N-3)番目の演算処理装置40のIDを記憶する。
 同様の動作を繰り返し、バッテリECU510は、3番目の演算処理装置40が2番目の演算処理装置40へ2番目のID設定信号ISを出力するように3番目の演算処理装置40に指令するとともに2番目の演算処理装置40のIDをバスBSへ送信する。一方、3番目の演算処理装置40は、2番目のID設定信号ISの出力の指令に応答して2番目の演算処理装置40へ2番目のID設定信号ISを出力する。2番目の演算処理装置40は、2番目のID設定信号ISを受けた場合にバッテリECU510により送信される2番目の演算処理装置40のIDを記憶する。
 その後、バッテリECU510は、2番目の演算処理装置40が1番目の演算処理装置40へ1番目のID設定信号ISを出力するように2番目の演算処理装置40に指令するとともに1番目の演算処理装置40のIDをバスBSへ送信する。一方、2番目の演算処理装置40は、1番目のID設定信号ISの出力の指令に応答して1番目の演算処理装置40へ1番目のID設定信号ISを出力する。
 それにより、バッテリECU510により送信されたN番目~2番目の演算処理装置40のIDがN番目~2番目の演算処理装置40にそれぞれ設定される。最後に、1番目の演算処理装置40は、1番目のID設定信号ISを受けた場合にバッテリECU510により送信される1番目の演算処理装置40のIDを記憶する。それにより、バッテリECU510により送信された1番目の演算処理装置40のIDが1番目の演算処理装置40に設定される。
 このように、バッテリECU510およびN番目~2番目の演算処理装置40からN番目~1番目の演算処理装置40に順にN番目~1番目のID設定信号ISが出力されるとともに、バッテリECU510からバスBSへN番目~1番目の演算処理装置40のIDが送信される。この場合、バッテリECU510は、各演算処理装置40にIDが設定されたことを認識することができる。これにより、バッテリECU510と複数の演算処理装置40との間の通信の信頼性を確保しつつ複数の演算処理装置40に容易にIDを設定することができる。
 その結果、各バッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40は、電圧検出部20により検出されたバッテリセル群BLの各バッテリセル10の電圧の検出結果を確実にバッテリECU510に送信することができる。
 また、各バッテリモジュール100においては、バッテリセル群BLの各バッテリセル10の端子電圧が電圧検出部20により検出される。各バッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40は、電圧検出部20により検出されたバッテリセル群BLの各バッテリセル10の端子電圧の値を確実にバッテリECU510に送信することができる。
 また、本実施の形態においては、バッテリECU510は、複数のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40とCAN接続される。この場合、バッテリECU510を複数のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40に容易にブロードキャスト通信可能に接続することができる。
 また、本実施の形態においては、複数のバッテリモジュール100の各々は、異常検出部である異常検出部30および選択部であるスイッチ回路50をさらに含む。異常検出部30は、バッテリセル群BLの充放電に関する異常状態を検出し、異常状態を示す検出信号DBを発生する。スイッチ回路50は、演算処理装置40から出力される(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISおよび異常検出部30により発生される検出信号DBの一方を選択的に出力する。バッテリECU510は、N番目の演算処理装置40に第1の信号線である信号線Pにより接続される。i番目のバッテリモジュール100のスイッチ回路50は、第2の信号線である信号線P~Pにより(i-1)番目のバッテリモジュール100の異常検出部30および演算処理装置40に接続される。1番目のバッテリモジュール100のスイッチ回路50は、第3の信号線である信号線PによりバッテリECU510に接続される。
 IDの設定モードにおいて、バッテリECU510は、信号線Pを介してN番目のID設定信号ISをN番目の演算処理装置40に出力する。i番目のバッテリモジュール100のスイッチ回路50は、i番目の演算処理装置40から出力される(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISを信号線P~Pを介して(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40に出力する。
 通常モードにおいて、i番目のバッテリモジュール100のスイッチ回路50は、i番目の異常検出部30により発生される検出信号DBを信号線P~Pを介して(i-1)番目の異常検出部30に出力し、1番目のバッテリモジュール100のスイッチ回路50は、1番目の異常検出部30により発生される検出信号DBを信号線Pを介してバッテリECU510に出力する。
 この場合、IDの設定モードにおいて、バッテリECU510は、信号線Pを介してN番目のID設定信号ISをN番目の演算処理装置40に出力する。i番目のバッテリモジュール100のスイッチ回路50は、i番目の演算処理装置40から出力される(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISを信号線P~Pを介して(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40に出力する。
 通常モードにおいて、i番目のバッテリモジュール100のスイッチ回路50は、i番目の異常検出部30により発生される検出信号DBを信号線P~Pを介して(i-1)番目の異常検出部30に出力する。1番目のバッテリモジュール100のスイッチ回路50は、1番目の異常検出部30により発生される検出信号DBを信号線Pを介してバッテリECU510に出力する。
 このように、複数のバッテリモジュール100のスイッチ回路50間を接続する信号線P~Pは、IDの設定モードにおける(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力、および通常モードにおける検出信号DBの出力に共通して使用される。これにより、バッテリシステム500の構成および配線が複雑化することなくバッテリシステム500がバッテリセル群BLの充放電に関する異常状態を検出する機能を有することができる。
 すなわち、バッテリモジュール100のスイッチ回路50間を接続する信号線P~Pは、ID設定モードにおけるID設定信号ISの出力、および通常モードにおける検出信号DBの出力に共通して使用される。これにより、バッテリシステム500の構成および配線を複雑化することなく容易に複数の演算処理装置40にIDを設定することができるとともにバッテリセル群BLの端子電圧の異常を検出することができる。
 また、電圧検出部20、絶縁素子DIaもしくは通信ドライバ60が故障した場合またはバスBSに不具合が発生した場合でも、異常検出部30により検出されたバッテリセル群BLの端子電圧の異常を複数のスイッチ回路50および絶縁素子DIbならびに信号線P~Pを介してバッテリECU510に通知することができる。また、異常検出部30が故障した場合または信号線P~Pに不具合が生じた場合でも、電圧検出部20により検出されたバッテリセル群BLの端子電圧の値を演算処理装置40、絶縁素子DIa、通信ドライバ60およびバスBSを通してバッテリECU510に通知することができる。このように、複数のバッテリモジュール100のバッテリセル群BLの端子電圧の異常の発生を確実にバッテリECU510に通知することが可能となる。
 [2]電動車両
 (1)構成および動作
 電動車両について説明する。電動車両は上記の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500を備える。なお、以下では、電動車両の一例として電動自動車を説明する。
 図12は、バッテリシステム500を備える電動自動車の構成を示すブロック図である。図12に示すように、電動自動車600は車体610を備える。車体610に、図1のバッテリシステム500ならびに非動力用バッテリBAT、電力変換部601、モータ602、駆動輪603、アクセル装置604、ブレーキ装置605、回転速度センサ606および主制御部300が設けられる。モータ602が交流(AC)モータである場合には、電力変換部601はインバータ回路を含む。バッテリシステム500には、図1のバッテリECU510が含まれている。
 バッテリシステム500は、電力変換部601を介してモータ602に接続されるとともに、主制御部300に接続される。
 主制御部300には、バッテリシステム500のバッテリECU510からバッテリモジュール100(図1参照)の充電量が与えられる。また、主制御部300には、アクセル装置604、ブレーキ装置605および回転速度センサ606が接続される。主制御部300は、例えばCPUおよびメモリ、またはマイクロコンピュータからなる。
 アクセル装置604は、電動自動車600が備えるアクセルペダル604aと、アクセルペダル604aの操作量(踏み込み量)を検出するアクセル検出部604bとを含む。ユーザによりアクセルペダル604aが操作されると、アクセル検出部604bは、ユーザにより操作されていない状態を基準としてアクセルペダル604aの操作量を検出する。検出されたアクセルペダル604aの操作量が主制御部300に与えられる。
 ブレーキ装置605は、電動自動車600が備えるブレーキペダル605aと、ユーザによるブレーキペダル605aの操作量(踏み込み量)を検出するブレーキ検出部605bとを含む。ユーザによりブレーキペダル605aが操作されると、ブレーキ検出部605bによりその操作量が検出される。検出されたブレーキペダル605aの操作量が主制御部300に与えられる。回転速度センサ606は、モータ602の回転速度を検出する。検出された回転速度は、主制御部300に与えられる。
 上記のように、主制御部300には、バッテリモジュール100の充電量、アクセルペダル604aの操作量、ブレーキペダル605aの操作量およびモータ602の回転速度が与えられる。主制御部300は、これらの情報に基づいてバッテリモジュール100の充放電制御および電力変換部601の電力変換制御を行う。例えば、アクセル操作に基づく電動自動車600の発進時および加速時には、バッテリシステム500から電力変換部601にバッテリモジュール100の電力が供給される。
 また、主制御部300は、与えられたアクセルペダル604aの操作量に基づいて、駆動輪603に伝達すべき回転力(指令トルク)を算出し、その指令トルクに基づく制御信号を電力変換部601に与える。
 上記の制御信号を受けた電力変換部601は、バッテリシステム500から供給された電力を、駆動輪603を駆動するために必要な電力(駆動電力)に変換する。これにより、電力変換部601により変換された駆動電力がモータ602に供給され、その駆動電力に基づくモータ602の回転力が駆動輪603に伝達される。
 一方、ブレーキ操作に基づく電動自動車600の減速時には、モータ602は発電装置として機能する。この場合、電力変換部601は、モータ602により発生された回生電力を複数のバッテリセル10の充電に適した電力に変換し、複数のバッテリセル10に与える。それにより、複数のバッテリセル10が充電される。
 (2)効果
 電動車両である電動自動車600においては、上記の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500からの電力によりモータ602が駆動される。そのモータ602の回転力によって駆動輪603が回転することにより、電動自動車600が移動する。
 この電動自動車600には、上記の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500が設けられるので、バッテリECU510と複数のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40との間の通信の信頼性を確保しつつ複数の演算処理装置40に容易にIDを設定することができる。それにより、各バッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40は、電圧検出部20により検出されたバッテリセル群BLの各バッテリセル10の電圧の検出結果を確実にバッテリECU510に送信することができる。
 主制御部300は、バッテリECU510の機能を有していてもよい。この場合、主制御部300は、バスBSを通して各バッテリシステム500に含まれる各バッテリモジュール100の通信ドライバ60(図1参照)に接続される。また、主制御部300は、信号線Pを通して各バッテリシステム500に含まれるN番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIb(図1参照)にさらに接続されるとともに、信号線Pを通して各バッテリシステム500に含まれる1番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIb(図1参照)にさらに接続される。なお、主制御部300がバッテリECU510の機能を有する場合には、各バッテリシステム500には、バッテリECU510が設けられなくてもよい。
 (3)他の移動体
 上記では、図1のバッテリシステム500が電動車両に搭載される例について説明したが、バッテリシステム500が船、航空機、エレベータまたは歩行ロボット等の他の移動体に搭載されてもよい。
 バッテリシステム500が搭載された船は、例えば、図12の車体610の代わりに船体を備え、駆動輪603の代わりにスクリューを備え、アクセル装置604の代わりに加速入力部を備え、ブレーキ装置605の代わりに減速入力部を備える。運転者は、船体を加速させる際にアクセル装置604の代わりに加速入力部を操作し、船体を減速させる際にブレーキ装置605の代わりに減速入力部を操作する。この場合、船体が移動本体部に相当し、モータが動力源に相当し、スクリューが駆動部に相当する。このような構成において、モータがバッテリシステム500からの電力を受けてその電力を動力に変換し、その動力によってスクリューが回転されることにより船体が移動する。
 同様に、バッテリシステム500が搭載された航空機は、例えば、図12の車体610の代わりに機体を備え、駆動輪603の代わりにプロペラを備え、アクセル装置604の代わりに加速入力部を備え、ブレーキ装置605の代わりに減速入力部を備える。この場合、機体が移動本体部に相当し、モータが動力源に相当し、プロペラが駆動部に相当する。このような構成において、モータがバッテリシステム500からの電力を受けてその電力を動力に変換し、その動力によってプロペラが回転されることにより機体が移動する。
 バッテリシステム500が搭載されたエレベータは、例えば、図12の車体610の代わりに籠を備え、駆動輪603の代わりに籠に取り付けられる昇降用ロープを備え、アクセル装置604の代わりに加速入力部を備え、ブレーキ装置605の代わりに減速入力部を備える。この場合、籠が移動本体部に相当し、モータが動力源に相当し、昇降用ロープが駆動部に相当する。このような構成において、モータがバッテリシステム500からの電力を受けてその電力を動力に変換し、その動力によって昇降用ロープが巻き上げられることにより籠が昇降する。
 バッテリシステム500が搭載された歩行ロボットは、例えば、図12の車体610の代わりに胴体を備え、駆動輪603の代わりに足を備え、アクセル装置604の代わりに加速入力部を備え、ブレーキ装置605の代わりに減速入力部を備える。この場合、胴体が移動本体部に相当し、モータが動力源に相当し、足が駆動部に相当する。このような構成において、モータがバッテリシステム500からの電力を受けてその電力を動力に変換し、その動力によって足が駆動されることにより胴体が移動する。
 (4)他の移動体における効果
 バッテリシステム500が搭載された移動体においては、動力源がバッテリシステム500からの電力を受けてその電力を動力に変換し、駆動部が動力源により変換された動力により移動本体部を移動させる。
 この移動体には、上記の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500が用いられるので、バッテリECU510と複数の演算処理装置40との間の通信の信頼性を確保しつつ複数の演算処理装置40に容易にIDを設定することができる。それにより、各バッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40は、電圧検出部20により検出されたバッテリセル群BLの各バッテリセル10の電圧の検出結果を確実にバッテリECU510に送信することができる。
 [3]電源装置
 (1)構成および動作
 電源装置について説明する。図13は、電源装置の構成を示すブロック図である。図13に示すように、電源装置700は、電力貯蔵装置710および電力変換装置720を備える。電力貯蔵装置710は、バッテリシステム群711およびコントローラ712を備える。バッテリシステム群711は複数のバッテリシステム500を含む。複数のバッテリシステム500は互いに並列に接続されてもよく、または互いに直列に接続されてもよい。
 コントローラ712は、例えばCPUおよびメモリ、またはマイクロコンピュータからなる。コントローラ712は、各バッテリシステム500に含まれるバッテリECU510(図1参照)に接続される。コントローラ712は、各510から与えられた各バッテリセル10の充電量に基づいて電力変換装置720を制御する。コントローラ712は、バッテリシステム500のバッテリモジュール100の放電または充電に関する制御として、後述する制御を行う。
 電力変換装置720は、DC/DC(直流/直流)コンバータ721およびDC/AC(直流/交流)インバータ722を含む。DC/DCコンバータ721は入出力端子721a,721bを有し、DC/ACインバータ722は入出力端子722a,722bを有する。DC/DCコンバータ721の入出力端子721aは電力貯蔵装置710のバッテリシステム群711に各バッテリシステム500のHVコネクタ530(図1参照)を介して接続される。
 DC/DCコンバータ721の入出力端子721bおよびDC/ACインバータ722の入出力端子722aは互いに接続されるとともに電力出力部PU1に接続される。DC/ACインバータ722の入出力端子722bは電力出力部PU2に接続されるとともに他の電力系統に接続される。
 電力出力部PU1,PU2は例えばコンセントを含む。電力出力部PU1,PU2には、例えば種々の負荷が接続される。他の電力系統は、例えば商用電源または太陽電池を含む。電力出力部PU1,PU2および他の電力系統が電源装置に接続される外部の例である。なお、電力系統として太陽電池を用いる場合、DC/DCコンバータ721の入出力端子721bに太陽電池が接続される。一方、電力系統として太陽電池を含む太陽光発電システムを用いる場合、DC/ACインバータ722の入出力端子722bに太陽光発電システムのパワーコンディショナのAC出力部が接続される。
 DC/DCコンバータ721およびDC/ACインバータ722がコントローラ712によって制御されることにより、バッテリシステム群711の放電および充電が行われる。バッテリシステム群711の放電時には、バッテリシステム群711から与えられる電力がDC/DCコンバータ721によりDC/DC(直流/直流)変換され、さらにDC/ACインバータ722によりDC/AC(直流/交流)変換される。
 電源装置700が直流電源として用いられる場合、DC/DCコンバータ721によりDC/DC変換された電力が電力出力部PU1に供給される。電源装置700が交流電源として用いられる場合、DC/ACインバータ722によりDC/AC変換された電力が電力出力部PU2に供給される。また、DC/ACインバータ722により交流に変換された電力を他の電力系統に供給することもできる。
 コントローラ712は、バッテリシステム群711のバッテリモジュール100の放電に関する制御の一例として、次の制御を行う。バッテリシステム群711の放電時に、コントローラ712は、算出された充電量に基づいてバッテリシステム群711の放電を停止するか否かまたは放電電流(または放電電力)を制限するか否かを判定し、判定結果に基づいて電力変換装置720を制御する。具体的には、バッテリシステム群711に含まれる複数のバッテリセル10(図1参照)のうちいずれかのバッテリセル10の充電量が予め定められたしきい値よりも小さくなると、コントローラ712は、バッテリシステム群711の放電が停止されまたは放電電流(または放電電力)が制限されるようにDC/DCコンバータ721およびDC/ACインバータ722を制御する。これにより、各バッテリセル10の過放電が防止される。
 放電電流(または放電電力)の制限は、バッテリシステム群711の電圧が一定の基準電圧となるように制限されることにより行われる。また、基準電圧は、バッテリセル10の充電量に基づいて、コントローラ712により設定される。
 一方、バッテリシステム群711の充電時には、他の電力系統から与えられる交流の電力がDC/ACインバータ722によりAC/DC(交流/直流)変換され、さらにDC/DCコンバータ721によりDC/DC(直流/直流)変換される。DC/DCコンバータ721からバッテリシステム群711に電力が与えられることにより、バッテリシステム群711に含まれる複数のバッテリセル10(図1参照)が充電される。
 コントローラ712は、バッテリシステム群711のバッテリモジュール100の充電に関する制御の一例として、次の制御を行う。バッテリシステム群711の充電時に、コントローラ712は、算出された充電量に基づいてバッテリシステム群711の充電を停止するか否かまたは充電電流(または充電電力)を制限するか否かを判定し、判定結果に基づいて電力変換装置720を制御する。具体的には、バッテリシステム群711に含まれる複数のバッテリセル10(図1参照)のうちいずれかのバッテリセル10の充電量が予め定められたしきい値よりも大きくなると、コントローラ712は、バッテリシステム群711の充電が停止されまたは充電電流(または充電電力)が制限されるようにDC/DCコンバータ721およびDC/ACインバータ722を制御する。これにより、各バッテリセル10の過充電が防止される。
 充電電流(または充電電力)の制限は、バッテリシステム群711の電圧が一定の基準電圧となるように制限されることにより行われる。また、基準電圧は、バッテリセル10の充電量に基づいて、コントローラ712により設定される。
 なお、電源装置700と外部との間で互いに電力を供給可能であれば、電力変換装置720がDC/DCコンバータ721およびDC/ACインバータ722のうちいずれか一方のみを有してもよい。また、電源装置700と外部との間で互いに電力を供給可能であれば、電力変換装置720が設けられなくてもよい。
 (2)効果
 この電力貯蔵装置710においては、システム制御部であるコントローラ712により、上記の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500の複数のバッテリモジュール100の充電または放電に関する制御が行われる。それにより、複数のバッテリモジュール100の劣化、過放電および過充電を防止することができる。
 また、この電源装置700においては、バッテリシステム500と外部との間で電力変換装置720により電力変換が行われる。電力変換装置720が電力貯蔵装置710のコントローラ712により制御されることにより、複数のバッテリモジュール100の充電または放電に関する制御が行われる。それにより、複数のバッテリモジュール100の劣化、過放電および過充電を防止することができる。すなわち、電源装置700においては、コントローラ712によりバッテリシステム群711と外部との間の電力の供給が制御される。それにより、バッテリシステム群711に含まれる各バッテリセル10の過放電および過充電が防止される。
 電源装置700においては、上記の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500が設けられるので、バッテリECU510と複数のバッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40との間の通信の信頼性を確保しつつ複数の演算処理装置40に容易にIDを設定することができる。それにより、各バッテリモジュール100の演算処理装置40は、電圧検出部20により検出されたバッテリセル群BLの各バッテリセル10の電圧の検出結果を確実にバッテリECU510に送信することができる。
 コントローラ712は、バッテリセル群BLの端子電圧の異常を検出した場合、電力変換装置720を制御する。そのため、各バッテリシステム500には、図1のコンタクタ520が設けられなくてもよい。
 コントローラ712は、バッテリECU510の機能を有していてもよい。この場合、コントローラ712は、バスBSを通して各バッテリシステム500に含まれる各バッテリモジュール100の通信ドライバ60(図1参照)に接続される。また、コントローラ712は、信号線Pを通して各バッテリシステム500に含まれるN番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIb(図1参照)にさらに接続されるとともに、信号線Pを通して各バッテリシステム500に含まれる1番目のバッテリモジュール100の絶縁素子DIbにさらに接続される。なお、コントローラ712がバッテリECU510の機能を有する場合には、各バッテリシステム500には、バッテリECU510が設けられなくてもよい。
 [4]他の実施の形態
 (1)上記の実施の形態において、バッテリモジュール100は複数のバッテリセル10を含むが、これに限定されない。バッテリモジュール100は1個のバッテリセル10を含んでもよい。
 (2)上記実施の形態において、異常検出部30は、対応するバッテリセル群BLの充放電に関する異常として複数のバッテリセル10の端子電圧の異常を検出するが、これに限定されない。異常検出部30は、対応するバッテリセル群BLの充放電に関する異常として、バッテリセル群BLに流れる電流、バッテリセル10のSOC(充電量)、過放電、過充電または温度の異常等を検出してもよい。
 異常検出部30が対応するバッテリセル群BLの充放電に関する異常として、バッテリセル群BLに流れる電流の異常を検出する場合、バッテリモジュール100はバッテリセル群BLに流れる電流を検出する電流検出部を有する。
 (3)上記実施の形態において、バッテリECU510はN番目の演算処理装置40にID設定信号ISを出力し、i番目(iは2~Nの自然数)の演算処理装置40は(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40にID設定信号ISを出力するが、これに限定されない。バッテリECU510は1番目の演算処理装置40にID設定信号ISを出力し、j番目(jは1~(N-1)の自然数)の演算処理装置40は(j+1)番目の演算処理装置40にID設定信号ISを出力してもよい。
 (4)上記実施の形態において、バッテリECU510は、ID設定処理のステップS4(図7参照)の処理として、N番目の演算処理装置40からID設定の完了通知を受信するまで待機し、ID設定の完了通知を受信した後にステップS5の処理に進むが、これに限定されない。バッテリECU510は、ステップS4の処理として、予め定められた所定時間待機し、所定時間経過した後にステップS5の処理に進んでもよい。
 また、バッテリECU510は、ID設定処理のステップS9(図8参照)の処理として、(i-1)番目の演算処理装置40からID設定の完了通知を受信するまで待機し、ID設定の完了通知を受信した後にステップS10の処理に進むが、これに限定されない。バッテリECU510は、ステップS9の処理として、予め定められた所定時間待機し、所定時間経過した後にステップS10の処理に進んでもよい。
 これらの場合、演算処理装置40は、ステップS28(図10参照)の処理として、ID設定の完了通知を送信する必要がない。そのため、演算処理装置40は、ステップS28の処理を省略することができる。
 (5)上記実施の形態において、バッテリECU510は、ID設定処理のステップS7(図8参照)の処理で、i番目の演算処理装置40から(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の完了通知を受信するまで待機し、(i-1)番目のID設定信号ISの出力の完了通知を受信した後にステップS8の処理に進むが、これに限定されない。バッテリECU510は、ステップS7の処理として、予め定められた所定時間待機し、所定時間経過した後にステップS8の処理に進んでもよい。
 この場合、演算処理装置40は、ステップS32(図10参照)の処理として、ID設定信号ISの出力の完了通知を送信する必要がない。そのため、演算処理装置40は、ステップS32の処理を省略することができる。
 (6)上記実施の形態において、バッテリECU510は、バスBSを介して各演算処理装置40とCAN通信を行うが、これに限定されない。例えば、バッテリECU510は、PWM(パルス幅変調)、PCM(パルス符号変調)または他のシリアル通信方式を用いて、信号線P,P~Pを介して各演算処理装置40と通信を行ってもよい。

Claims (10)

  1. 通信機能を有するマスタ装置と、
     通信機能を有する1番目からN番目までの複数のスレーブ装置とを備え、
     前記マスタ装置と前記複数のスレーブ装置とは通信線により接続され、
     前記マスタ装置は、N番目のスレーブ装置に識別子の設定を指令するN番目の設定信号を出力するとともに前記N番目のスレーブ装置の識別子を前記通信線へ送信した後、N番目から2番目のスレーブ装置の順に、i番目(iはNから2までの自然数)のスレーブ装置が(i-1)番目のスレーブ装置へ(i-1)番目の設定信号を出力するように前記i番目のスレーブ装置に指令するとともに前記(i-1)番目のスレーブ装置の識別子を前記通信線へ送信し、
     前記i番目のスレーブ装置は、i番目の設定信号を受けた場合に前記マスタ装置により送信される前記i番目のスレーブ装置の識別子を記憶し、前記(i-1)番目の設定信号の出力の指令に応答して前記(i-1)番目のスレーブ装置へ(i-1)番目の設定信号を出力し、
     1番目のスレーブ装置は、1番目の設定信号を受けた場合に前記マスタ装置により送信される前記1番目のスレーブ装置の識別子を記憶する、通信システム。
  2. 1番目からN番目までの複数のスレーブ装置と通信を行うマスタ装置であって、

     前記通信処理部は、N番目のスレーブ装置に識別子の設定を指令するN番目の設定信号を出力するとともに前記N番目のスレーブ装置の識別子を前記通信線へ送信した後、N番目から2番目のスレーブ装置の順に、i番目(iはNから2までの自然数)のスレーブ装置が(i-1)番目のスレーブ装置へ(i-1)番目の設定信号を出力するように前記i番目のスレーブ装置に指令するとともに前記(i-1)番目のスレーブ装置の識別子を前記通信線へ送信するように構成される、マスタ装置。
  3. 1番目からN番目までの複数のスレーブ装置と、前記複数のスレーブ装置と通信線により接続されるマスタ装置とにより構成される通信システムにおけるi番目(iはNから2までの自然数)のスレーブ装置であって、
     前記マスタ装置または(i+1)番目のスレーブ装置から識別子の設定を指令するi番目の設定信号を受けるとともに、前記マスタ装置により送信されるi番目のスレーブ装置の識別子を受信し、前記マスタ装置からの(i-1)番目の設定信号の出力の指令を受けるように構成された通信処理部と、
     前記通信処理部が前記i番目の設定信号を受けた場合に前記通信処理部により受信されるi番目のスレーブ装置の識別子を記憶する記憶部とを備え、
     前記通信処理部は、前記(i-1)番目の設定信号の出力の指令に応答して(i-1)番目のスレーブ装置へ前記(i-1)番目の設定信号を出力する、スレーブ装置。
  4. 制御装置と、
     1番目からN番目までの複数のバッテリモジュールとを備え、
     前記複数のバッテリモジュールの各々は、
     1または複数のバッテリセルを含むバッテリセル群と、
     前記バッテリセル群に対応して設けられ、前記バッテリセル群の各バッテリセルの電圧を検出する電圧検出部と、
     前記電圧検出部の検出結果を前記制御装置に送信する処理装置とを含み、
     前記制御装置と前記複数のバッテリモジュールの前記処理装置とは通信線により接続され、
     前記1番目からN番目までの複数のバッテリモジュールの前記処理装置は、それぞれ1番目からN番目までの処理装置であり、
     前記制御装置は、N番目の処理装置に識別子の設定を指令するN番目の設定信号を出力するとともに前記N番目の処理装置の識別子を前記通信線へ送信した後、N番目から2番目の処理装置の順に、i番目(iはNから2までの自然数)の処理装置が(i-1)番目の処理装置へ(i-1)番目の設定信号を出力するように前記i番目の処理装置に指令するとともに前記(i-1)番目の処理装置の識別子を前記通信線へ送信し、
     前記i番目の処理装置は、i番目の設定信号を受けた場合に前記制御装置により送信される前記i番目の処理装置の識別子を記憶し、前記(i-1)番目の設定信号の出力の指令に応答して前記(i-1)番目の処理装置へ前記(i-1)番目の設定信号を出力し、
     1番目の処理装置は、1番目の設定信号を受けた場合に前記制御装置により送信される前記1番目の処理装置の識別子を記憶する、バッテリシステム。
  5. 前記制御装置は、前記複数のバッテリモジュールの前記処理装置とCAN接続される、請求項4記載のバッテリシステム。
  6. 前記複数のバッテリモジュールの各々は、
     前記バッテリセル群の充放電に関する異常状態を検出し、異常状態を示す検出信号を発生する異常検出部と、
     前記処理装置から出力される前記(i-1)番目の設定信号および前記異常検出部により発生される検出信号の一方を選択的に出力する選択部とをさらに含み、
     前記制御装置は、前記N番目の処理装置に第1の信号線により接続され、
     i番目のバッテリモジュールの前記選択部は、第2の信号線により(i-1)番目のバッテリモジュールの前記異常検出部および前記処理装置に接続され、
     1番目のバッテリモジュールの前記選択部は、第3の信号線により前記制御装置に接続され、
     識別子の設定モードにおいて、前記制御装置は、前記第1の信号線を介して前記N番目の設定信号を前記N番目の処理装置に出力し、i番目のバッテリモジュールの前記選択部は、前記i番目の処理装置から出力される前記(i-1)番目の設定信号を前記第2の信号線を介して前記(i-1)番目の処理装置に出力し、
     通常モードにおいて、i番目のバッテリモジュール前記の選択部は、i番目の前記異常検出部により発生される前記検出信号を前記第2の信号線を介して(i-1)番目の前記異常検出部に出力し、1番目のバッテリモジュールの前記選択部は、1番目の前記異常検出部により発生される前記検出信号を前記第3の信号線を介して前記制御装置に出力する、請求項4記載のバッテリシステム。
  7. 請求項4に記載のバッテリシステムと、
     前記バッテリシステムの電力により駆動されるモータと、
     前記モータの回転力により回転する駆動輪とを備える、電動車両。
  8. 請求項4に記載のバッテリシステムと、
     移動本体部と、
     前記バッテリシステムからの電力を前記移動本体部を移動させるための動力に変換する動力源とを備える、移動体。
  9. 請求項4に記載のバッテリシステムと、
     前記バッテリシステムの前記複数のバッテリモジュールの放電または充電に関する制御を行うシステム制御部とを備える、電力貯蔵装置。
  10. 外部に接続可能な電源装置であって、
     請求項9記載の電力貯蔵装置と、
     前記電力貯蔵装置の前記システム制御部により制御され、前記電力貯蔵装置の前記バッテリシステムと前記外部との間で電力変換を行う電力変換装置とを備える、電源装置。
