Abstract
Description
(クイックコネクタの概要)
本実施形態のクイックコネクタ1の概要について、図1~図3を参照して説明する。図1に示すように、クイックコネクタ1は、例えば自動車のガソリン燃料配管を構成するために用いられるものである。つまり、クイックコネクタ1は、例えば燃料を流通させるための流路を形成している。このクイックコネクタ1の一端側(図1,2の左側)が樹脂チューブ(図示せず)に接続され、クイックコネクタ1の他端側にはパイプ体3(図23に示す)が挿入され、パイプ体3に連結される。つまり、クイックコネクタ1は、パイプ体3と樹脂チューブとの配管接続を行い、ガソリン燃料を流通させる。パイプ体3は、筒状に形成されており、先端から軸方向に所定距離隔てた位置に径方向外側に突出形成された環状突部3a(図23に示す)を備える。このクイックコネクタ1は、第一ハウジング10と、第二ハウジング30と、チェッカー50と、カラー70と、環状シール部材81,82とを備えて構成される。
第二ハウジング30の詳細構成について、図4~図12を参照して説明する。第二ハウジング30は、上述した「クイックコネクタの概要」欄にて説明したように、ハウジング本体部31と、リテーナ部41とを備えて構成される。なお、ハウジング本体部31とリテーナ部41とは一体形成されているため、厳密な境界が存在する訳ではないが、ここでは、図4における軸方向位置Wを境界として、ハウジング本体部31は、図4において軸方向位置Wよりも左側(軸方向一方側)のW1の部分とし、リテーナ部41は、図4において軸方向位置Wより右側(軸方向他方側)のW2の部分として説明する。
次に、チェッカー50の詳細構成について、図13~図19を参照して説明する。チェッカー50は、上述した「クイックコネクタの概要」欄にて説明したように、パイプ体3の環状突部3aがリテーナ部41に係止された状態であることを確認するための部材である。チェッカー50は、チェッカー拡径弾性変形爪51と、チェッカー軸方向弾性変形爪52と、隙間介在部材53と、ガイド部54と、リリース部55とを備えて構成される。
次に、上述したクイックコネクタ1にパイプ体3を挿入する工程におけるクイックコネクタ1の各部の動作について説明する。その後に、クイックコネクタ1からパイプ体3をリリースする工程におけるクイックコネクタ1の各部の動作について説明する。
まず、パイプ体3をクイックコネクタ1に挿入する前の工程である初期状態について、図20~図22を参照して説明する。初期状態とは、図20~図22に示すように、チェッカー50をリテーナ部41に対して第一位置に位置する状態である。詳細には、図20に示すように、チェッカー50を、リテーナ部41の上方から装着する。ここでいうリテーナ部41の上方とは、リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪49の開口側に相当する。
次に、パイプ体3の先端の一部をクイックコネクタ1の開口端座部材43側から挿入した状態である第一中間状態について、図23~図25を参照して説明する。図23に示すように、パイプ体3は、筒状に形成されており、先端から軸方向に所定距離隔てた位置に径方向外側に突出形成された環状突部3a(図23に示す)を備える。このパイプ体3をクイックコネクタ1の開口端座部材43側から挿入していくと、環状突部3aが、リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪49に干渉する。そのため、図24に示すように、パイプ体3の環状突部3aによって、リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪49が拡径するように弾性変形する。特に、パイプ体3の環状突部3aは、リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪49の先端側のうち軸方向他方側の端面49c,49dを押圧するため、比較的容易にリテーナ拡径弾性変形爪49が拡径する。
次に、パイプ体3の先端の一部をさらに奥側へ挿入した状態である第二中間状態について、図26~図28を参照して説明する。図26に示すように、パイプ体3の環状突部3aが、リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪49の位置を通過する。そうすると、図27に示すように、リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪49が形状復帰することで、リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪49がパイプ体3の環状突部3aに対して軸方向に係止することとなる。
次に、第二中間状態の後に、チェッカー50を第一位置から第二位置へスライド動作させる。第三中間状態は、チェッカー50が第一位置と第二位置との中間に位置する状態である。この第三中間状態について、図29~図31を参照して説明する。ここで、図29は、チェッカー軸方向弾性変形爪52,52の状態を分かりやすくするために、パイプ体3の外形のみについて二点鎖線にて示す。図29および図30に示すように、チェッカー軸方向弾性変形爪52,52の先端側が、撓み変形をしている様子が分かる。また、チェッカー拡径弾性変形爪51は、図31に示すように、リテーナ部41の第一係止部45の側面に沿って下方へスライド動作する。
次に、チェッカー50を第一位置から第二位置へスライド動作させて、チェッカー50が第二位置へ到達した状態について、図32~図34を参照して説明する。図34に示すように、チェッカー拡径弾性変形爪51は、形状復帰して、リテーナ部41の第一係止部45の先端側の下面に係止される。つまり、チェッカー拡径弾性変形爪51は、第一係止部45に係止されることで、元に戻す方向(上方)へのスライド動作を規制される。
次に、保守などにおいてクイックコネクタ1からパイプ体3を引き抜く(リリースする)場合が生じる。この場合について、図35~図37を参照して説明する。図35~図37に示すように、チェッカー50を、リテーナ部41に対して第二位置からさらに押し込む方向(下方)へスライド動作させる。このとき、図36に示すように、チェッカー50のリリース部55,55がリテーナ拡径弾性変形爪49を拡径する。つまり、リリースに際して、リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪49を拡径することができるだけのチェッカー50を押し込む力が必要となる。
次に、第二実施形態のクイックコネクタについて説明する。第二実施形態のクイックコネクタは、第一実施形態のクイックコネクタに対して、第二ハウジングおよびチェッカーが相違する。また、係止確認状態、および、係止確認状態からリリース状態へ移行する際が、第一実施形態と相違する。以下に、相違点について説明する。なお、第一実施形態と同一構成については同一符号を付して説明を省略する。
第二ハウジング130の詳細構成について、図38~図46を参照して説明する。第二ハウジング130は、ハウジング本体部131と、リテーナ部141とを備えて構成される。なお、ハウジング本体部131とリテーナ部141とは一体形成されているため、厳密な境界が存在する訳ではないが、ここでは、図38における軸方向位置Wを境界として、ハウジング本体部131は、図38において軸方向位置Wよりも左側(軸方向一方側)のW1の部分とし、リテーナ部141は、図38において軸方向位置Wより右側(軸方向他方側)のW2の部分として説明する。
次に、チェッカー150の詳細構成について、図47~図52を参照して説明する。チェッカー150は、第一実施形態のチェッカー50に対して、主に、リリース用弾性変形爪156を設けたことと、ガイド部54を除外したことが相違する。チェッカー150は、チェッカー拡径弾性変形爪151と、チェッカー軸方向弾性変形爪52と、隙間介在部材53と、リリース部55と、リリース用弾性変形爪156とを備えて構成される。チェッカー拡径弾性変形爪151の基部151cが、図49の左右側に突出している部分を除外した形状をなしている。
次に、チェッカー150を第一位置から第二位置へスライド動作させて、チェッカー150が第二位置へ到達した状態について、図53を参照して説明する。第一実施形態における図32~図35に示す状態が対応する。図53に示すように、リリース用弾性変形爪156の爪部156bが、第三係止部136に対して、チェッカー150の押し込み方向に係止している。つまり、チェッカー150が第二位置に位置する状態において、リリース用弾性変形爪156と第三係止部136とが、チェッカー150を第三位置(さらに押し込み方向の位置)へスライド動作することを規制している。
次に、リリース工程について、図53および図54を参照して説明する。まず、図53の係止確認完了状態から爪部156bに対して、図53の軸方向右側への力を付与する。そうすると、図54に示すように、一対の腕部156aが、図54の右回りに回転するように弾性変形する。当該弾性変形により、リリース用弾性変形爪156の爪部156bによる第三係止部136に対する係止が解除される。そうすると、チェッカー150は、リテーナ部141に対して第二位置からさらに押し込む方向(下方)へスライド動作可能となる。
Claims (10)
- 先端から軸方向に所定距離隔てた位置に径方向外側に突出形成された環状突部を備える筒状のパイプ体に連結されるクイックコネクタであって、
筒状のハウジング本体と、
前記ハウジング本体に一体形成または連結されたリテーナであり、前記リテーナの開口端部から前記パイプ体を軸方向に挿通可能な形状に形成され、前記開口端部から軸方向に挿入された前記パイプ体の前記環状突部に係止して前記パイプ体の軸方向の抜けを規制する前記リテーナと、
前記リテーナに対して第一位置から設定径方向にスライド動作させて第二位置へ移動することにより、前記パイプ体の前記環状突部が前記リテーナに係止された状態であることを確認するチェッカーと、
を備え、
前記リテーナは、
第一係止部と第二係止部を備えるリテーナ本体と、
前記リテーナ本体に設けられ、弾性変形により拡径可能なC字形状に形成され、拡径することにより前記パイプ体の前記環状突部を軸方向に通過可能とし、前記パイプ体の前記環状突部が軸方向に通過した後に形状復帰することにより前記環状突部に対して軸方向に係止するリテーナ拡径弾性変形爪と、
を備え、
前記チェッカーは、
弾性変形により拡径可能なC字形状に形成され、拡径していない状態にて前記第一係止部に係止されることで前記リテーナ本体に対して前記第一位置から前記設定径方向へのスライド動作を規制し、前記リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪を軸方向に通過した後の前記パイプ体の前記環状突部により拡径され、拡径した状態にて前記第一係止部に対する係止が解除されて前記リテーナ本体に対して前記第一位置から前記設定径方向の前記第二位置へスライド動作可能なチェッカー拡径弾性変形爪と、
先端側が前記軸方向に撓み変形可能に形成され、前記リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪が拡径している状態にて前記リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪により撓み変形が規制されることで前記リテーナ本体の前記第二係止部に係止された状態を維持し、前記リテーナ本体の前記第二係止部に係止されることで前記リテーナ本体に対して前記第一位置から前記設定径方向へのスライド動作を規制し、前記リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪が形状復帰した状態にて前記リテーナ本体の前記第二係止部に対する係止が解除可能となることで前記リテーナ本体に対して前記第一位置から前記設定径方向の前記第二位置へスライド動作可能なチェッカー軸方向弾性変形爪と、
を備えるクイックコネクタ。 - 請求項1において、
前記チェッカーが前記リテーナに対して前記第一位置から前記第二位置へスライド動作する前記設定径方向は、前記リテーナに対して前記チェッカーを押し込む方向であり、
前記リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪のC字形状の開口側は、前記押し込む方向と反対方向であり、
前記チェッカーは、前記リテーナに対して前記第二位置から前記設定径方向の第三位置へスライド動作することにより、前記リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪を拡径させるリリース部を備えるクイックコネクタ。 - 請求項2において、
前記クイックコネクタは、前記チェッカーが前記リテーナ本体に対して前記第二位置に位置する状態において、前記チェッカーを前記リテーナ本体に対して前記第三位置へスライド動作することを規制すると共に、力が付与されることにより前記チェッカーを前記リテーナ本体に対して前記第三位置へスライド動作可能とするリリース用規制手段を備えるクイックコネクタ。 - 請求項3において、
前記リテーナ本体または前記ハウジング本体は、前記リリース用規制手段としての第三係止部を備え、
前記チェッカーは、前記チェッカーが前記リテーナ本体に対して前記第二位置に位置する状態にて前記第三係止部に係止されることにより前記チェッカーを前記リテーナ本体に対して前記第三位置へスライド動作することを規制し、弾性変形により前記第三係止部に対する係止が解除されることで前記チェッカーを前記リテーナ本体に対して前記第三位置へスライド動作可能とする前記リリース用規制手段としてのリリース用弾性変形爪を備えるクイックコネクタ。 - 請求項4において、
前記リリース用弾性変形爪は、前記チェッカーが前記リテーナ本体に対してスライド動作する前記設定径方向とは異なる方向に弾性変形することで、前記第三係止部に対する係止が解除されるクイックコネクタ。 - 請求項5において、
前記リリース用弾性変形爪は、当該爪の根元に位置する支点に対して回転するように弾性変形し、前記第三係止部から係止解除され、
前記リリース用弾性変形爪における前記第三係止部に当接する部位は、前記設定径方向に対して傾斜する面とし、
前記チェッカーが前記設定径方向に押し込まれることにより前記リリース用弾性変形爪が前記第三係止部から受ける係止力により発生する前記支点に対するモーメントの回転方向が、前記リリース用弾性変形爪を前記第三係止部から係止解除するための回転方向に対して逆方向となるように、前記傾斜面が形成されているクリックコネクタ。 - 請求項1~6の何れか一項において、
前記リテーナ本体は、前記リテーナの前記開口端部を形成し、前記第二係止部を形成する開口端座部材を備え、
前記チェッカーは、前記チェッカー軸方向弾性変形爪の径方向内側にスリットを介して形成され、前記チェッカーが前記リテーナに対して前記第一位置から前記第二位置まで移動する間に前記リテーナ本体の前記開口端座部材と前記リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪との軸方向隙間に介在する隙間介在部材を備えるクイックコネクタ。 - 請求項1~7の何れか一項において、
前記リテーナおよび前記チェッカーは、相対的に回転を規制し、前記設定径方向への相対的なスライド動作をガイドするガイド手段を備えるクイックコネクタ。 - 請求項1~8の何れか一項において、
前記チェッカー軸方向弾性変形爪は、前記リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪の両端のそれぞれに対応する一対であるクイックコネクタ。 - 請求項1~9の何れか一項において、
前記リテーナは、前記ハウジング本体と一体形成されており、
前記リテーナは、前記リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪の拡径量が設定量に到達した場合に前記リテーナ拡径弾性変形爪の拡径を規制するストッパを備えるクイックコネクタ。
