Definitions
- the present invention relates to a monoamine derivative and an organic electroluminescence device using the monoamine derivative.
- organic electroluminescence device having an organic thin film layer including a light emitting layer between an anode and a cathode, and emitting light from exciton energy generated by recombination of holes and electrons injected into the light emitting layer.
- organic EL element organic electroluminescence device
- Patent Documents 1 to 5 describe monoamine derivatives used for organic EL elements. As these monoamine derivatives, structures having groups derived from a benzene ring, a naphthalene ring, a phenanthrene ring, a dibenzofuran ring and a fluorene ring are described.
- the monoamine derivatives of Patent Documents 1 and 2 are combined with TBPe (2,5,8,11-tetra-tert-butylperylene) or 1,2-bis (4-binaphthylaminophenyl) ethylene which is a fluorescent material. And used as a fluorescent host material.
- monoamine derivative of Patent Document 3 is a compound which emits fluorescence, and is used as a material for forming the light emitting layer of the organic EL element.
- an organic EL element in which a light emitting layer containing a phosphorescent dopant material is formed of one kind of host material is known.
- a bias occurs in the transport of either electrons or holes in the light emitting layer.
- the organic EL element to adjust the carrier balance is proposed .
- Patent Document 6 CBP (4,4′-bis (carbazole) biphenyl) is used as a first host material having an electron transport property, and TPD (N, N′-bis (3-methyl) is used as a second host material having a hole transport property.
- An organic EL device having a light emitting layer using (phenyl) -N, N′-diphenylbenzidine, a diamine derivative) is disclosed. And in the organic EL element of patent document 6, the effect that luminous efficiency changes greatly by changing the density
- Patent Document 7 2- (4′-tert-butylphenyl) -5- (4 ′′ -biphenyl) -1,3,4-oxadiazole is used as a first host material having an electron transporting property.
- An organic EL element using a TPD as a second host material and having a light emitting layer exhibiting fluorescence is disclosed.
- Patent Documents 8 and 9 Alq 3 (tris- (8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum) is used as the first host material having an electron transport property, and NPD (N, N′-diphenyl-N) is used as the second host material having a hole transport property.
- N'- bis - alpha - naphthyl benzidine, an organic EL device including a light emitting layer using a diamine derivative) are disclosed.
- Patent Documents 1 to 5 disclose structures having a benzene ring as described above as monoamine derivatives. It is also conceivable that these monoamine derivatives are used as phosphorescent host materials and combined with phosphorescent materials to improve external quantum efficiency. However, since the phosphorescent host material must have higher excited triplet energy than the phosphorescent light emitting material to be combined, the monoamine derivatives of Patent Documents 1 to 5 cannot be simply used as the phosphorescent host material. In general, an amine derivative is weak against electrons and has a very short lifetime, and also has a shorter lifetime than a carbazole derivative or the like as a conventionally used phosphorescent host material such as CBP.
- Patent Document 2 discloses non-amine compounds and diamino compounds as phosphorescent host materials. However, in order to use it as a phosphorescent host material, not only the excited triplet energy but also the charge transport property is required. Therefore, the material disclosed in Patent Document 2 does not satisfy all these requirements. It was difficult to achieve both long life.
- an organic EL element using the first host material and the second host material for the light emitting layer for example, an organic EL element using TPD as the second host material as described in Patent Documents 6 and 7, the luminous efficiency is TPD. It depends greatly on the concentration of. Similarly to the organic EL element described in Patent Document 6, the organic EL element using the NPD described in Patent Documents 8 and 9 greatly depends on the concentration of NPD. Therefore, in the organic EL element using the second host material of Patent Documents 6 to 9, when the organic EL element is manufactured, if the second host material is not finely adjusted so as to have a specific concentration, high luminous efficiency is obtained. It is not suitable for mass production.
- the first object of the present invention is to provide a monoamine derivative capable of improving the light emission efficiency, external quantum efficiency, and light emission lifetime of an organic EL device, and an organic EL device using the same.
- a second object of the present invention in the case of using the first host material and the second host material in the light emitting layer is also excellent in luminous efficiency and external quantum efficiency, it is to provide an organic EL device suitable for mass production .
- the present inventors have found that monoamine derivatives having specific condensed aromatic hydrocarbon groups improve the light emission efficiency, external quantum efficiency, and light emission lifetime of organic EL devices. I found out that I can make it.

- the derivative is not included, it can be seen that the light emission efficiency and the external quantum efficiency are low, and that the efficiency greatly depends on the concentration of the phosphorescent dopant material. Therefore, it can be seen that organic EL elements that do not use the monoamine derivative of the present invention as the second host material, such as Comparative Examples 7 to 9, are not suitable for mass production.
- Example 13 and 14 Production of organic EL element In Example 6, except that the types of the second host material and the concentrations of the second host material and the phosphorescent dopant material were changed to those shown in Table 3, respectively. Abstract
Description

具体的には、第2ホスト材料を溶媒に溶解(試料10μmol/リットル、EPA(ジエチルエーテル:イソハペンタン:エタノール=5:5:2容積比、各溶媒は分光用グレード)し、燐光測定用試料とした。
EgT(eV)=1239.85/λedge
