本明細書において、本発明に係る硬化性組成物は、硬化性原料組成物、ならびに硬化性原料組成物に硬化触媒、脱水剤、およびその他の添加剤を配合して得られる硬化性製品組成物と総称するものとする。
本発明の硬化性原料組成物は、重合体(P)と、無機酸または酸素原子に結合した活性水素を有する有機酸とを含む組成物である。
硬化性原料組成物に含有される重合体(P)は、ポリオキシアルキレン鎖およびヒドロキシ基を有する重合体(pP)と、下記式(I)、
硬化性原料組成物および硬化性製品組成物の硬化物の強度を重視する場合には、重合体(P)のMw/Mnは小さいことが好ましい。これにより、硬化物の弾性率が同程度であっても、その破断伸度がより大きく、かつ、より高強度となる。特に、重合体(P)はMw/Mnが3.0以下が好ましく、1.6以下であることがより好ましい。Mw/Mnが3.0以下の場合、得られる重合体(P)の強度が大きくなる。特にMnが同一の重合体(P)同士の比較において、Mw/Mnが1.6以下のものは、Mw/Mnが1.6より大きいものよりも、分子量の小さな重合体成分の含有量が少なくなるために、硬化物の引張破断伸度および引張破断強度がより大きくなるとともに、重合体(P)自体の粘度がより低くなって、硬化性原料組成物および硬化性製品組成物の取扱性に優れる。同様の理由から、Mw/Mnは1.5以下であることが更に好ましく、1.4以下であることがより一層好ましい。Mw/Mnが小さな重合体(P)は、後述のように、複合金属シアン化物錯体を触媒として用いて、開始剤の存在下、アルキレンオキシドを重合させる方法により所望のMw/Mnを有するポリオキシアルキレン鎖含有重合体(pP)を得、これと化合物(U)とを反応させて得られるものが好ましい。
上記重合体(pP)は、ポリオキシアルキレン鎖およびヒドロキシ基を有する重合体である。
重合体(pP)が有するポリオキシアルキレン鎖は、炭素数2~6のアルキレンオキシドの開環重合により形成されたオキシアルキレンの重合単位からなるのが好ましい。具体的にはエチレンオキシド、プロピレンオキシド、ブチレンオキシド、およびヘキシレンオキシドからなる群から選ばれる1種以上のアルキレンオキシドが好ましい。プロピレンオキシドのみ、または、プロピレンオキシドとエチレンオキシドの組み合わせがより好ましく、プロピレンオキシドのみが特に好ましい。ポリオキシアルキレン鎖が2種以上のオキシアルキレンの重合単位からなる場合、2種以上のオキシアルキレンの重合単位の並び方は、ブロック状であってもよくランダム状であってもよい。
重合体(pP)の数平均分子量(Mn)は1,000~49,000が好ましく、1,000~39,000がより好ましく、1,000~29,000が特に好ましい。また、重合体(pP)の重量平均分子量と数平均分子量との比、Mw/Mnは、3.0以下が好ましく、1.6以下がより好ましく、1.5以下が特に好ましい。
重合体(pP)の製造に用いる開環重合触媒としては、複合金属シアン化物錯体が好ましく、特に亜鉛コバルト系シアン化物錯体が好ましく、具体的には亜鉛ヘキサシアノコバルテートが好ましい。
複合金属シアン化物錯体は、有機配位子を有する複合金属シアン化物錯体が好ましい。かかる有機配位子は、エーテル系配位子またはアルコール系配位子が好ましい。エーテル系配位子の具体例としては、エチレングリコールジメチルエーテル(グライム)、ジエチレングリコールジメチルエーテル(ジグライム)、トリエチレングリコールジメチルエーテルが挙げられる。
重合体(pP)の製造に用いる開始剤としては、アルキレンオキシドが反応しうる活性水素原子を1個以上有する有機化合物である。開始剤1分子中の活性水素原子の個数は、1~6個が好ましく、1~4個がより好ましい。
活性水素原子を1個以上有する化合物としては例えば、水酸基を有する化合物が好ましく、水酸基を1~4個有する化合物が好ましい。
水酸基を有する化合物としては、メタノール、エタノールなどのモノアルコール;エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコール、ネオペンチルグリコール、1,4-ブタンジオール、1,6-ヘキサンジオール、ネオペンチルグリコール、グリセリン、トリメチロールメタン、トリメチロールプロパン、ペンタエリスリトール、ジグリセリン等の多価アルコール;フェノール、ビスフェノールAなどのフェノール類が挙げられる。さらにこれらに少量のアルキレンオキシドが付加された水酸基あたりの分子量が300~1500のポリオキシアルキレンモノオールもしくはポリオキシアルキレンポリオールが挙げられる。これらは1種のみを用いてもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。
重合体(pP)と化合物(U)のウレタン化反応は、ウレタン化触媒の存在下に行うことになる。上記重合体(pP)中に、重合残渣として含まれうる複合金属シアン化物錯体をそのままウレタン化触媒として利用してもよい。重合体(pP)の合成に特に好ましく用いられる亜鉛ヘキサシアノコバルテートが好適である。
ウレタン化触媒は、特に限定されず、例えばジブチルスズジアセテート、ジブチルスズジラウレート、ジオクチルスズジラウレート等の有機スズ化合物が挙げられる。その他にもビスマストリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)(商品名:ネオスタンU-600)などのビスマス化合物、アセチルアセトン亜鉛(II)(商品名:ナーセム亜鉛)などの亜鉛化合物、鉄ナフテネートなどの鉄化合物、チタン化合物、ジルコニウム化合物、アセチルアセトン銅(II)(商品名:ナーセム銅)などの銅化合物、ニッケル化合物、コバルト化合物、マンガン化合物、アルミニウム化合物等の触媒が用いられる。
本発明で用いられる化合物(U)は、前記式(I)で表わされる。
X1は炭素原子数1~6のアルコキシ基である。
上記化合物(U)を表す式(I)におけるX1が表す炭素原子数1~6のアルコキシ基としては、メトキシ基、エトキシ基、プロポキシ基、ブトキシ基、ペンチルオキシ基、ヘキシルオキシ基が挙げられる。これらのうち、メトキシ基が好ましい。複数ある場合のX1は、それぞれ同一であっても異なる基であってもよいが、入手容易性または、反応性が同じである点で、同一の基であることが好ましい。
R2またはR3としてのアルキル基は、例えばメチル基またはエチル基が挙げられる。該アルキル基は置換基を有していてもよい。該置換基としては、例えばエステル基やビニル基等が挙げられる。また該アルキル基は分岐を有してもよく、アルキル基中の水素原子が、フッ素原子、塩素原子、臭素原子、ヨウ素原子などのハロゲン原子や、シクロアルキル基で置換されていてもよい。

このような化合物(U)としては、1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシラン、1-イソシアネートメチルトリメトキシシラン、1-イソシアネートメチルエチルジメトキシシラン、が挙げられ、特に1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシラン、1-イソシアネートメチルトリメトキシシランが好ましい。
上記重合体(pP)は、重合残渣として含まれる複合金属シアン化物錯体を精製除去した後に化合物(U)と-NH-CO-結合を形成するウレタン化反応させてもよく、該複合金属シアン化物錯体を精製除去することなく化合物(U)とウレタン化反応させてもよい。複合金属シアン化物錯体は、開環重合の触媒として機能するだけでなく、ウレタン化反応の触媒としても機能すると考えられる。したがって、重合体(pP)に重合残渣として含まれる複合金属シアン化物を精製除去することなく、重合体(pP)と化合物(U)をウレタン化反応させた場合には、ウレタン化反応が効率的に進行する効果がある。
ウレタン化反応の反応温度は、20~200℃が好ましく、50~150℃が特に好ましい。また、ウレタン化反応は、不活性ガス、好ましくは窒素ガス雰囲気下に行うのが好ましい。
硬化性原料組成物が含有することができる変成シリコーンポリマー(C1)としては例えばポリオキシアルキレンポリオールの末端水酸基に不飽和基を導入したのち、末端不飽和基を加水分解性シリル基に変換することで得られるものを用いることができる。ポリオキシアルキレンポリオールは重合体(pP)と同様の方法で得ることができる。ポリオキシアルキレンポリオールの末端水酸基を、不飽和基に変換するには例えば末端水酸基をアルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類金属のアルコキシドとし、次いで不飽和基を有する化合物と反応させる方法が挙げられる。末端水酸基をアルコキシドに変換するために用いるアルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類金属化合物としては、アルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類金属の水酸化物、アルカリ金属水素化物、アルカリ金属アルコキシドなどが使用できる。アルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類金属化合物の使用量は、重合体(pP)の末端水酸基1モルに対して、0.8~1.5モルが好ましく、0.9~1.4モルがより好ましく、0.95~1.3モルが最も好ましい。
重合体(pP)の末端水酸基をアルコキシドに変換した後に、不飽和基含有化合物と反応させて、ポリオキシアルキレンポリオールの末端水酸基に不飽和基を導入する。不飽和基含有化合物としては、アリルクロライドなどが挙げられる。
次いで、不飽和基と反応する基および加水分解性シリル基を有する化合物を変換された不飽和結合と反応させて、変成シリコーンポリマーを得ることができる。不飽和基と反応する基および加水分解性シリル基を有する化合物としては、例えば、メチルジメトキシシランが挙げられる。
硬化性原料組成物が含有することができる反応性ケイ素基を有するビニル重合体(C2)としては、例えば反応性ケイ素基を有し、かつ(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル単量体単位を含むアクリル重合体などが挙げられる。
上記アクリル重合体は、(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル単量体単位を含んでいる。(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル単量体単位のみを単量体単位として含む重合体であってもよいし、これ以外の不飽和基含有単量体単位を更に含む重合体であってもよい。該(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル単量体単位を含む重合体とは、(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステルから誘導される繰り返し単位を有する重合体を意味する。該重合体は、通常、(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル単量体を必須成分として含む不飽和基含有単量体を重合反応させることにより得られる。なお、本発明において、不飽和基含有単量体とは、不飽和結合(好ましくは、炭素-炭素二重結合)を有する化合物であって、重合体を形成し得る化合物のことを意味し、(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステルとは、アクリル酸アルキルエステル、メタクリル酸アルキルエステルまたは両者の混合物を意味する。
アクリル重合体に含まれる(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル単量体単位の種類や数は制限されない。
(i):不飽和基含有重合体の重合によりアクリル重合体を合成する際に、反応性ケイ素基を有する不飽和基含有単量体を共重合する方法。
(ii):不飽和基含有重合体の重合によりアクリル重合体を合成する際に、反応性ケイ素基を有する開始剤を用いる方法。
(iii):水酸基、アミノ基、カルボキシル基、イソシアネート基、エポキシ基等の官能基を有するアクリル重合体を合成し、これに、当該官能基と反応する官能基および反応性ケイ素基を有する化合物を反応させる方法。
重合体(C3)は、下記式(I-1)、

(式中、Qは炭素原子数2~20の直鎖の2価炭化水素基を表し、好ましくは炭素原子数2~10のアルキレン基、最も好ましくはトリメチレン基を表す。X2は炭素原子数1~6のアルコキシ基を表す。R4は炭素原子数1~6のアルキル基を表す。mは1~3の整数を表す。)で表される化合物(U2)と上記重合体(pP)とを上記ウレタン化触媒の存在下でウレタン化反応させて得られる。
化合物(U2)の好適例としては、3-イソシアネートプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3-イソシアネートプロピルトリエトキシシラン、3-イソシアネートプロピルジメトキシメチルシラン、2-イソシアネートエチルトリメトキシシランが挙げられる。これらの化合物の中で、特に硬化性原料組成物および硬化性製品組成物の硬化速度が速いため、3-イソシアネートプロピルトリメトキシシランが好ましい。硬化性原料組成物が重合体(C3)を含有する場合の含有量は、重合体(P)100質量部に対して0~40質量部であり、好ましくは5~35質量部である。3-イソシアネートプロピルトリメトキシシランのような重合体(C3)を含有させることにより、本発明の硬化性原料組成物から得られる硬化物の硬さを調節することができる。重合体(C3)を本発明の硬化性原料組成物に含有させる方法としては、化合物(U2)を重合体(pP)とウレタン化反応させて重合体(C3)を得た後に、重合体(P)とブレンドする方法が挙げられる。
次に、本発明の硬化性原料組成物が含有する酸について説明する。
本発明の硬化性原料組成物が含有する酸は、無機酸または酸素原子に結合した活性水素を有する有機酸である。
本発明で使用することのできる無機酸としては、オルトリン酸、ポリリン酸、ポリメタリン酸などのリン酸、塩酸、亜塩素酸、次亜塩素酸、硫酸、亜硫酸、アミド硫酸、硝酸、亜硝酸、シアン酸、イソシアン酸ホウ酸、フッ化水素酸、ホスフィン酸、ホスホン酸、炭酸、ヨウ化水素酸、臭化水素酸などの、炭素以外の非金属を含む酸が挙げられる。また、リン酸モノエステル、リン酸ジエステル、リン酸モノアルキルエステル、リン酸ジアルキルエステルなど、酸性を呈する部分エステルであってもよい。リン酸の部分エステルとは、リン酸における全てのOH基がエステル化されておらず、一部のOH基が残ったものをいう。
上記リン酸の部分エステルとして、リン酸モノアルキルエステル、リン酸ジアルキルエステルなどの酸性リン酸エステルが挙げられる。リン酸の部分エステルとしては、炭素数1~18の炭化水素基を有するエステルが好ましく、該炭素数1~18の炭化水素基としては、炭素数1~18のアルキル基、炭素数3~18のシクロアルキル基、炭素数6~18のアリール基などが好ましい。
前記アルキル基としては、メチル基、エチル基、プロピル基、ブチル基、ヘキシル基、オクチル基、2-エチルヘキシル基、デシル基、ドデシル基、ステアリル基等が挙げられる。また、ベンジル基のような芳香族基を置換基に有するアルキル基でもよい。
前記アリール基としては、炭素数6~10のアリール基が好ましく、フェニル基が挙げられる。また、トルイル基、キシリル基などのアルキル基を置換基に有する基でもよい。前記シクロアルキル基としては、シクロペンチル基、シクロヘキシル基などが挙げられる。
本発明で使用することのできる有機酸とは、酸素原子に結合した活性水素を有する有機酸であり、(1)カルボキシル基、(2)スルホ基、(3)スルフィノ基、(4)水酸基、(5)ニトロ基などの基を有し、酸性を呈する有機化合物をいう。これらの基を有する有機酸としてはカルボン酸、ヒドロキシ酸、スルホン酸、スルフィン酸、フェノール、ニトロ化合物が挙げられる。カルボン酸類としては、蟻酸、酢酸などのモノカルボン酸;シュウ酸、マロン酸、フタル酸などのジカルボン酸が挙げられる。ヒドロキシ酸類としては、乳酸、リンゴ酸、クエン酸などが挙げられる。ニトロ化合物としては、2-ニトロフェニルヒドラジド誘導体などが挙げられる。
本発明で使用することのできる有機酸の具体例としては、例えば、アクリル酸、吉草酸、イソ吉草酸、酪酸、イソ酪酸、オクタン酸、ギ酸、グリオキシル酸、酢酸、ビニル酢酸、ピルビン酸、プロピオン酸、ヘキサン酸、ヘプタン酸、安息香酸、シアノ安息香酸、ニトロ安息香酸、アニス酸、ケイ皮酸、ナフトエ酸、フェニル酢酸、フェノキシ酢酸、2-フランカルボン酸等の脂肪族/芳香族モノカルボン酸;アジピン酸、アゼライン酸、グルタル酸、コハク酸、シュウ酸、マロン酸、ピメリン酸、フマル酸、マレイン酸、フタル酸、イソフタル酸、テレフタル酸等の脂肪族/芳香族ジカルボン酸;カンホロン酸、ヘマト酸、1,3,5-ベンゼントリカルボン酸等の脂肪族/芳香族トリカルボン酸;グリコール酸、乳酸、クエン酸、リンゴ酸、酒石酸、マンデル酸、ヒドロキシ安息香酸、サリチル酸等の脂肪族/芳香族ヒドロキシ酸;メタンスルホン酸、ベンゼンスルホン酸等の脂肪族/芳香族スルホン酸;メタンスルフィン酸、ベンゼンスルフィン酸等の脂肪族/芳香族スルフィン酸;フェノール、アスコルビン酸、ピリドキサール、ピリドキシン、酸性リン酸エステル等を挙げることができる。
本発明の硬化性原料組成物が含有する酸は、酸解離定数pKaが8以下であることが好ましく、7以下であることがより好ましい。酸解離定数pKaとは、酸解離定数Kaの逆数の対数値であり、本発明では、化学便覧基礎編改定5版に記載の第1段階解離を酸解離定数pKaとして表している。すなわち、酸性度(プロトン供与性)に関していえば、pKaが小さいものほど、一般的に酸強度が強いものである。
本発明の硬化性原料組成物が含有する酸は、硬化性原料組成物を金属容器に入れて保存等する場合に、金属容器への腐食が少ないことから、酸解離定数pKaが1~8であることがさらに好ましい。
酸解離定数pKaが1~8の無機酸としては、例えばリン酸(オルトリン酸、ポリリン酸、ポリメタリン酸)、酸性リン酸エステル、リン酸モノエステル、リン酸ジエステルおよびこれらの混合物が挙げられる。
酸解離定数pKaが1~8の有機酸としては、例えば、ギ酸、酢酸、乳酸、酪酸等のモノカルボン酸類、シュウ酸、マロン酸、フマル酸、マレイン酸、フタル酸等のジカルボン酸類、クエン酸、リンゴ酸等のヒドロキシ酸類が挙げられる。これらの有機酸のうち、液体であるので混合性が良く、添加量がそれほど多くなくても効果があり、かつ硬化性原料組成物の着色、臭気が少ないことから、酢酸、乳酸が特に好ましい。
また、上記で挙げた酸の中で、添加量が少なくても効果がありかつ硬化性原料組成物の着色、臭気がないため、オルトリン酸が最も好ましい。
これらの酸を所定量使用すると、金属容器への腐食や、重合体(P)への着色といった副作用が無く、ウレタン化触媒に作用し、重合体(P)の貯蔵安定性が改良される効果が得られる。
本発明の硬化性組成物中の上記無機酸または酸素原子に結合した活性水素を有する有機酸の添加量は、重合体(P)100質量部に対して、無機酸または酸素原子に結合した活性水素を有する有機酸が0.0001~0.1質量部、好ましくは0.0001~0.05質量部である。酸の含有量が少なすぎると、酸の添加効果が現れず、多すぎると酸が硬化触媒として働いてしまうことがあるので好ましくない。ウレタン化触媒によるシラノール縮合反応は、重合体(P)に少量含まれる水分が影響していると考えられる。本発明の硬化性原料組成物が含有する酸は、市販されるものをそのまま添加してもよく、水、その他の溶媒に希釈して添加することができ、特に水溶液として添加することが好ましい。水、その他の溶媒を使用した場合は、減圧乾燥などによって水または溶媒をポリオールから除くことができる。ここで言うその他の溶剤とは、必要に応じて、硬化性原料組成物に含有される溶剤と同じ溶剤を使用することができる。
硬化性製品組成物は本発明の硬化性原料組成物に、硬化触媒、脱水剤、およびその他の添加剤を配合することにより得られる。
硬化性原料組成物としては、重合体(P)以外に、変成シリコーンポリマー(C1)、ビニル重合体(C2)もしくは重合体(C3)を含むことができる。重合体(P)、変成シリコーンポリマー(C1)、ビニル重合体(C2)および重合体(C3)の合計数量を100質量部とした場合、重合体(P)の量は50質量部以上が好ましく、70質量部以上がより好ましい。
硬化性製品組成物が防湿容器に充填された場合、特に貯蔵安定性に優れ、硬化速度が速い効果がある。
硬化性製品組成物に含有させる硬化触媒は、重合体(P)のシラノール縮合反応による架橋反応を触媒する化合物であれば、特に限定されない。硬化触媒の具体例としては、有機スズ化合物、スズ以外の金属を含む有機金属化合物、有機金属アルコキシド、スズ以外の金属を含む錯体、アミノ基含有化合物、第4級アンモニウム塩、アミジン誘導体塩、その他の触媒が挙げられる。
硬化性製品組成物に配合する硬化触媒は、硬化性原料組成物に含まれる硬化性重合体100質量部に対して、0.01~10質量部が好ましく、0.1~5質量部がより好ましい。0.01質量部より多ければ硬化性原料組成物に含まれる酸にかかわらず良好な速硬化性が得られ、10質量部より少なければ貯蔵安定性が良好である。
有機スズ化合物の具体例としては、ジブチルスズジアセテート、ジブチルスズジラウレート、ジオクチルスズジラウレート、(n-C4H9)2Sn(OCOCH=CHCOOCH3)2、(n-C4H9)2Sn(OCOCH=CHCOO(n-C4H9))2、(n-C8H17)2Sn(OCOCH=CHCOOCH3)2、(n-C8H17)2Sn(OCOCH=CHCOO(n-C4H9))2、(n-C8H17)2Sn(OCOCH=CHCOO(iso-C8H17))2等の有機スズカルボン酸塩;(n-C4H9)2Sn(SCH2COO)、(n-C8H17)2Sn(SCH2COO)、(n-C8H17)2Sn(SCH2CH2COO)、(n-C8H17)2Sn(SCH2COOCH2CH2OCOCH2S)、(n-C4H9)2Sn(SCH2COO(iso-C8H17))2、(n-C8H17)2Sn(SCH2COO(iso-C8H17))2、(n-C8H17)2Sn(SCH2COO(n-C8H17))2、(n-C4H9)2SnS、(iso-C8H17)2Sn(SCH2COO(n-C8H17))2等の硫黄原子を含む有機スズ化合物;(n-C4H9)2SnO、(n-C8H17)2SnO等の有機スズオキシド化合物;有機スズオキシドとエステル(エチルシリケート、マレイン酸ジメチル、マレイン酸ジエチル、マレイン酸ジオクチル、フタル酸ジメチル、フタル酸ジエチル、フタル酸ジオクチル等。)を反応させて得た反応生成物;(n-C4H9)2Sn(acac)2、(n-C8H17)2Sn(acac)2、(n-C4H9)2Sn(OC8H17)(acac)、(n-C4H9)2Sn(etac)2、(n-C8H17)2Sn(etac)2、(n-C4H9)2Sn(OC8H17)(etac)、ビスアセチルアセトナートスズ等の有機スズ化合物のキレート;有機スズ化合物のキレートとアルコキシシラン(テトラメトキシシラン、テトラエトキシシラン、テトラプロポキシシラン等。)を反応させて得た反応生成物;(n-C4H9)2(CH3COO)SnOSn(OCOCH3)(n-C4H9)2、(n-C4H9)2(CH3O)SnOSn(OCH3)(n-C4H9)2等の-SnOSn-結合を有する有機スズ化合物;2-エチルヘキサン酸スズ、n-オクチル酸スズ,ナフテン酸スズ,ステアリン酸スズ等の2価スズカルボン酸 塩が挙げられる。
ただし、acacはアセチルアセトナト配位子を、etacはエチルアセトアセテート配位子を、示す(以下同様)。
スズ以外の金属を含む有機金属化合物の具体例としては、カルボン酸カルシウム、カルボン酸ジルコニウム、カルボン酸鉄、カルボン酸バナジウム、ビスマストリス-2-エチルヘキサノエートなどのカルボン酸ビスマス、カルボン酸鉛、カルボン酸チタニウム、カルボン酸ニッケルが挙げられる。
有機金属アルコキシドの具体例としては、テトライソプロピルチタネート、テトラブチルチタネート、テトラメチルチタネート、テトラ(2-エチルへキシルチタネート)等のチタンアルコキシド;アルミニウムイソプロピレート、モノ-sec-ブトキシアルミニウムジイソプロピレート等のアルミニウムアルコキシド;ジルコニウム-n-プロピレート、ジルコニウム-n-ブチレート等のジルコニウムアルコキシド;チタンテトラアセチルアセトナート、チタンエチルアセトアセテート、チタンオクチレングリコレート、チタンラクテート等のチタンアルコキシドが挙げられる。
スズ以外の金属を含む錯体の具体例としては、アルミニウムトリスアセチルアセトナート、アルミニウムトリスエチルアセトアセテート、ジイソプロポキシアルミニウムエチルアセトアセテート等のアルミニウムキレート;ジルコニウムテトラアセチルアセトナート、ジルコニウムビスアセチルアセトナート、ジルコニウムアセチルアセトナートビスエチルアセトアセテート、ジルコニウムアセテート等のジルコニウムキレートが挙げられる。
アミノ基含有化合物の具体例としては、1分子中に少なくとも1つのアミノ基を有する化合物であればよい。アミノ基含有化合物としては、第1級アミン、第2級アミン、第3級アミンのいずれでもよい。また、1分子中に第1級アミノ基と第2級アミノ基の両方を有する化合物でもよい。
第1級アミンの例としては、メチルアミン、エチルアミン、プロピルアミン、イソプロピルアミン、イソプロピルアルコールアミン、ブチルアミン、1-エチルブチルアミン、イソブチルアミン、ペンチルアミン、オクチルアミン、ラウリルアミン、モノエタノールアミン、ジエチルアミノプロピルアミン、オレイルアミン、シクロヘキシルアミン、ベンジルアミン、グアニジン、2-エチルヘキシルアミン、トリエチレンテトラミンなどの脂肪族第1級アミン;アニリン、ベンジルアニリン、ニトロアニリン、フェニレンジアミン、トルイジン、トルイルアミン、キシレンジアミン、2,3-キシリジン、アニシジン、フェネチジン、ベンジジン、ベンジルアミン、ナフチルアミンなどの芳香族第1級アミン等が挙げられる。
第2級アミンの例としては、ジメチルアミン、ジエチルアミン、ジエタノールアミン、ジエチレントリアミン、ジブチルアミン、ピペリジン、ジイソペンチルアミン、ピロリジン、モルホリン、2-エチル-4-メチルイミダゾールなどの脂肪族第2級アミン;N-エチルナフチルアミン、アセトアニリド、アセトアミドナフタレン、ジフェニルグアニジンなどの芳香族第2級アミン等が挙げられる。
第3級アミンの例としては、トリメチルアミン、トリエチルアミン、トリエタノールアミン、トリプロピルアミン、トリブチルアミン、1,4-ジアザビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン(DABCO)、1,8-ジアザビシクロ[5.4.0]ウンデセン-7(DBU)などの脂肪族第3級アミン;N,N-ジメチルアニリン、N,N-ジベンジルアニリン、ジメチルアミノ安息香酸、2,4,6-トリス(ジメチルアミノメチル)フェノール、などの芳香族第3級アミン等が挙げられる。
また、アミノ基含有化合物として、1分子中に少なくとも1つのアミノ基を有するとともに、反応性ケイ素基を有する化合物も使用できる。
具体例としては、N-アミノエチル-3-アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3-アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3-アミノプロピルトリエトキシシラン、N-フェニル-3-アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン等が挙げられる。これらは市販品として入手できる。
アミノ基含有化合物として、硬化が速い点で第1級アミノ基または第2級アミノ基を有する化合物が好ましく、1分子中に第1級アミノ基および第2級アミノ基を有する化合物がより好ましい。
特に第1級アミノ基および/または第2級アミノ基を有するとともに、反応性ケイ素基を有する化合物が硬化性組成物の硬化後、組成物表面にアミノ基含有化合物がブリードアウト(Bleed out)しにくい点で好ましい。
本発明において、アミノ基含有化合物は1種を単独で使用してもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明で用いられる第4級アンモニウム塩は、NH4 +イオン(水素原子が置換されていてもよい)と、一価の陰イオンとが電荷を中和する形で結合してなる化合物である。
本発明で用いられるアミジン誘導体塩は、アミジンから誘導される4級塩であり、アミジンを構成する2個の窒素原子のうち、二重結合を介して炭素原子と結合している窒素原子に、孤立電子対を介して有機基が結合している陽イオンと、一価の陰イオンとが結合した構造を有する化合物である。
具体例としては、1,8-ジアザビシクロ[5.4.0]ウンデカ-7-エン(以下、DBUという)から誘導される塩、または1,5-ジアザビシクロ[4.3.0]ノナ-5-エン(以下、DBNという。)から誘導される塩が好ましい。
これらは市販品から入手可能である。例えば、U-CAT SA1(DBUのフェノール塩)、U-CAT SA102(DBUのオクチル酸塩)、U-CAT SA106(DBUのオレイン酸塩配合物)、U-CAT SA506(DBUのp-トルエンスルホン酸塩)、U-CAT SA603(DBUの蟻酸塩)、U-CAT 1102(DBNのオクチル酸塩)(いずれも製品名、サンアプロ社製)が挙げられる。
本発明において、アミジン誘導体塩は1種でもよく2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明で使用可能な脱水剤は、オルトギ酸メチル、オルトギ酸エチル等のオルトギ酸アルキル、オルト酢酸メチル、オルト酢酸エチル等のオルト酢酸アルキル、メチルトリメトキシシラン、ビニルトリメトキシシラン、テトラメトキシシラン、テトラエトキシシラン等の加水分解性有機シリコン化合物、加水分解性有機チタン化合物等が挙げられる。これらの中でも、下式(II)で表される化合物を含むことが好ましい。硬化性製品組成物が下式(II)で表される化合物を含む場合、硬化性製品組成物の速硬化性と貯蔵安定性が向上する効果がある。その理由は必ずしも明確ではないが、下式(II)で表される化合物中の加水分解性シリル基と、硬化性製品組成物中に含まれうる水分、重合体(P)中に含まれうるヒドロキシ基等とが優先的に反応することにより、重合体(P)の経時的な加水分解反応による架橋反応が抑制されるためと考えられる。
Si(X3)n(Y1)4-n (II)
硬化性製品組成物は、さらに、必要に応じて、以下に説明する充填剤、可塑剤、チキソ性付与剤、老化防止剤、接着性付与剤、溶剤、顔料を含有していてもよい。
また、これらの他に、表面改質剤、溶剤、フェノキシトリメチルシランなど加水分解によりトリメチルシラノールを発生する化合物からなるモジュラス(modulus)調整剤、桐油などの空気によって硬化する化合物、トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレートなどの光によって硬化する化合物、酸化鉄、酸化クロム、酸化チタン等の無機顔料およびフタロシアニンブルー、フタロシアニングリーン等の有機顔料を含有していてもよい。顔料の使用は、着色のみならず耐候性の向上という目的でも効果的である。
また、公知の難燃剤や防かび剤などを硬化性製品組成物に添加することもできる。塗料用途に使用されている艶消し剤を添加することも可能である。硬化性製品組成物は、これらに限らず、必要に応じて他の添加剤を含有していてもよい。
充填剤の具体例としては、平均粒径1~20μmの重質炭酸カルシウム、沈降法により製造した平均粒径1~3μmの軽質炭酸カルシウム、表面を脂肪酸や樹脂酸系有機物で表面処理した膠質炭酸カルシウム、軽微性炭酸カルシウム等の炭酸カルシウム;フュームドシリカ;沈降性シリカ;表面シリコーン処理シリカ微粉体;無水ケイ酸;含水ケイ酸;カーボンブラック;炭酸マグネシウム;ケイソウ土;焼成クレー;クレー;タルク;酸化チタン;ベントナイト;酸化第二鉄;酸化亜鉛;活性亜鉛華;シラスバルーン、パーライト、ガラスバルーン、シリカバルーン、フライアッシュバルーン、アルミナバルーン、ジルコニアバルーン、カーボンバルーン等の無機質の中空体;フェノール樹脂バルーン、エポキシ樹脂バルーン、尿素樹脂バルーン、ポリ塩化ビニリデン樹脂バルーン、ポリ塩化ビニリデン-アクリル樹脂バルーン、ポリスチレンバルーン、ポリメタクリレートバルーン、ポリビニルアルコールバルーン、スチレン-アクリル系樹脂バルーン、ポリアクリロニトリルバルーン等の有機樹脂中空体;樹脂ビーズ、木粉、パルプ、木綿チップ、マイカ、くるみ穀粉、もみ穀粉、グラファイト、アルミニウム微粉末、フリント粉末等の粉体状充填剤;ガラス繊維、ガラスフィラメント、炭素繊維、ケブラー繊維、ポリエチレンファイバー等の繊維状充填剤が挙げられる。これらの充填剤は単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
また、硬化性製品組成物およびその硬化物を軽量化することができる点からは、充填剤として中空体を用いることが好ましい。また、中空体を用いることにより、硬化性製品組成物の糸引き性を改善して作業性を向上させることができる。中空体は単独で用いてもよいが、炭酸カルシウム等のその他の充填剤と組み合わせて用いてもよい。
充填剤を添加する場合の添加量は、硬化性原料組成物に含まれる硬化性重合体100質量部に対して、1000質量部以下が好ましく、50~250質量部がより好ましい。
可塑剤としては、フタル酸ジオクチル、フタル酸ジブチル、フタル酸ブチルベンジル、フタル酸イソノニル等のフタル酸エステル類;アジピン酸ジオクチル、コハク酸ジイソデシル、セバシン酸ジブチル、オレイン酸ブチル等の脂肪族カルボン酸エステル;ペンタエリスリトールエステルなどのアルコールエステル類;リン酸トリオクチル、リン酸トリクレジル等のリン酸トリエステル類;エポキシ化大豆油、4,5-エポキシヘキサヒドロフタル酸ジオクチル、エポキシステアリン酸ベンジル等のエポキシ可塑剤;塩素化パラフィン;2塩基酸と2価アルコールとを反応させてなるポリエステル類などのポリエステル系可塑剤;ポリオキシプロピレングリコールやその誘導体、例えばポリオキシプロピレングリコールの水酸基をアルキルエーテルで封止したようなポリエーテル類、ポリ-α-メチルスチレン、ポリスチレン等のポリスチレンのオリゴマー類、ポリブタジエン、ブタジエン-アクリロニトリル共重合体、ポリクロロプレン、ポリイソプレン、ポリブテン、水添ポリブテン、エポキシ化ポリブタジエン等のオリゴマー類等の高分子可塑剤が挙げられる。これら可塑剤は、例えば、フタル酸エステルとエポキシ可塑剤等の異なる種類の2種以上の併用も可能である。
可塑剤を添加する場合の添加量は、硬化性原料組成物に含まれる硬化性重合体100質量部に対して、1~200質量部が好ましく、1~100質量部がより好ましい。
チキソ性付与剤を含有することにより、硬化性製品組成物の垂れ性が改善される。このチキソ性付与剤としては、水添ひまし油、脂肪酸アミド等が挙げられ、これらの任意の量が使用される。
老化防止剤として、一般に用いられている酸化防止剤、紫外線吸収剤、光安定剤が適宜用いることができる。具体的には、ヒンダードアミン系、ベンゾトリアゾール系、ベンゾフェノン系、ベンゾエート系、シアノアクリレート系、アクリレート系、ヒンダードフェノール系、リン系、硫黄系の各化合物を老化防止剤として適宜使用できる。特に、光安定剤、酸化防止剤、および紫外線吸収剤から選ばれる2つまたはすべてを組み合わせて使用すると、それぞれの特徴を生かし、全ての老化防止効果が得られるため、好ましい。具体的には、3級または2級のヒンダードアミン系光安定剤、ベンゾトリアゾール系紫外線吸収剤、ヒンダードフェノール系および/またはホスファイト系酸化防止剤を組み合わせることが好ましい。
硬化性製品組成物に接着性付与剤を含有させると、硬化物が接着剤層またはシーリング材層として形成され、該層の接着性が要求される場合に、該硬化物と被着体との接着性を向上させることができる。接着性付与剤としては、(メタ)アクリロイルオキシ基含有シラン類、アミノ基含有シラン類、メルカプト基含有シラン類、エポキシ基含有シラン類、カルボキシル基含有シラン類等のシランカップリング剤が挙げられる。
接着性付与剤の添加量は、硬化性原料組成物に含まれる硬化性重合体100質量部に対して0~30質量部が好ましく、0.1~10質量部がより好ましい。
上記エポキシ樹脂にエポキシ樹脂硬化剤を組合せる場合、エポキシ樹脂硬化剤の使用割合は、エポキシ樹脂100質量部に対して、300質量部以下であることが好ましい。
本発明の硬化性製品組成物は、揮発性有機化合物(VOC)の発生を抑えるため溶剤を含まないことが好ましいが、必要に応じて粘度を調節するために溶剤を含むことができる。
本発明における溶剤の具体例としては、脂肪族炭化水素、芳香族炭化水素、ハロゲン化炭化水素、アルコール、ケトン、エステル、エーテル、エステルアルコール、ケトンアルコール、エーテルアルコール、ケトンエーテル、ケトンエステル、エステルエーテルが挙げられる。アルコールを用いた場合には、硬化性製品組成物の保存安定性が向上する。アルコールは、炭素数1~10のアルキルアルコールが好ましく、メタノール、エタノール、イソプロパノール、イソペンチルアルコール、またはヘキシルアルコールがより好ましく、入手容易性、乾燥のし易さの点で、メタノールまたはエタノールが特に好ましい。
本発明の硬化性原料組成物は、硬化触媒、脱水剤およびその他の添加材を配合することにより、1液型硬化性組成物である硬化性製品組成物の原料として使うことができる。
また、本発明の硬化性原料組成物に硬化触媒以外の所望の成分を配合し、使用に際して硬化触媒と混合して適宜硬化させる2液型硬化性組成物の原料として使うことができる。
本発明の硬化性原料組成物は貯蔵安定性が良好で、かつ1液型硬化性組成物である硬化性製品組成物とした場合に良好な硬化性と、良好な機械物性を有する硬化物を形成可能である。この点で本発明の硬化性原料組成物は1液型硬化性組成物である硬化性製品組成物の原料として好適である。
かかる硬化性原料組成物は、被覆・密封用の硬化性製品組成物の原料として用いられ、建築用シーラント、防水材、接着剤、シーリング材、およびコーティング剤の原料として有用であり、特に接着剤、およびシーリング材の原料として有用である。
硬化性製品組成物は硬化性と貯蔵安定性が高く、かつ良好な機械物性を有する硬化物を形成することが可能である。かかる硬化性製品組成物は、被覆・密封用の硬化性組成物として、建築用シーラント、防水材、接着剤、シーリング材、およびコーティング剤として有用であり、特に接着剤、およびシーリング材として有用である。
実施例で使用したウレタン化触媒を以下に示す。
ナーセム亜鉛(日本化学産業社製):アセチルアセトン亜鉛(II);Zn(C5H7O2)2・H2O)、ナフテックス鉄(日本化学産業社製):鉄ナフテネート(鉄分5%)、ナーセム銅(日本化学産業社製):アセチルアセトン銅(II);Cu(C5H7O2)2、ネオスタンU-860(日東化成社製):ジ-n-オクチル錫ビス(メルカプト酢酸イソオクチルエステル)、ネオスタンU-600(日東化成社製):ビスマストリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)
ポリオキシプロピレンジオール(Mw:3,000)を開始剤とし、亜鉛ヘキサシアノコバルテート-tert-ブチルアルコール錯体触媒の50ppmの存在下で、プロピレンオキシド(以下、POという。)を反応させて、数平均分子量(Mn)が18,000で、分子量分布(Mw/Mn)が1.2のポリオキシプロピレンジオール(以下、「pP-1」という。)を得た。
耐圧反応器(内容積5L(リットル))に重合体(pP-1)3,000gを入れ、内温を110℃に保持しながら減圧脱水した。つぎに、反応器内雰囲気を窒素ガスに置換し、内温を50℃に保持しながら、ウレタン化触媒としてナーセム亜鉛(日本化学産業社製)をpP-1に対して約50ppm添加し、撹拌した後、ヒドロキシ基の総数に対するイソシアネート基の総数の比(NCO/OH)が0.97となるように、1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシラン(純度95%)を54.8g投入した。続いて、内温を80℃に8時間保持して、重合体(pP-1)と1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシランをウレタン化反応させ、FT-IR(フーリエ変換型赤外分光)にてイソシアネートのピークが消失していることを確認した。その後、常温まで冷却し、末端にメチルジメトキシシリル基を有するオキシプロピレン重合体(以下、「重合体(A1)」という)を得た。
得られた重合体(A1)のMnは19,500であり、Mw/Mnは1.35であった。
耐圧反応器(内容積5L)に重合体(pP-1)3,000gを入れ、内温を110℃に保持しながら減圧脱水した。つぎに、反応器内雰囲気を窒素ガスに置換し、内温を50℃に保持しながら、ウレタン化触媒としてナフテックス鉄(日本化学産業社製)をpP-1に対して約50ppm添加し、撹拌した後、NCO/OHが0.97となるように、1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシラン(純度95%)を54.8g投入した。続いて、内温を80℃に8時間保持して、重合体(pP-1)と1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシランをウレタン化反応させ、FT-IRにてイソシアネートのピークが消失していることを確認した。その後、常温まで冷却し、末端にメチルジメトキシシリル基を有するオキシプロピレン重合体(以下、「重合体(A2)」という)を得た。
得られた重合体(A2)のMnは20,300であり、Mw/Mnは1.43であった。

得られた重合体(A3)のMnは20,500であり、Mw/Mnは1.44であった。
耐圧反応器(内容積5L)に重合体(pP-1)3,000gを入れ、内温を110℃に保持しながら減圧脱水した。つぎに、反応器内雰囲気を窒素ガスに置換し、内温を50℃に保持しながら、ウレタン化触媒として配位子中に硫黄原子を含む有機スズ化合物触媒(ネオスタンU-860(日東化成社製))を、pP-1に対して約80ppm添加し、撹拌した後、NCO/OHが0.97となるように、1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシラン(純度95%)を54.8g投入した。続いて、内温を80℃に8時間保持して、重合体(pP-1)と1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシランをウレタン化反応させ、FT-IRにてイソシアネートのピークが消失していることを確認した。その後、常温まで冷却し、末端にメチルジメトキシシリル基を有するオキシプロピレン重合体(以下、「重合体(A4)」という)を得た。
得られた重合体(A4)のMnは19,000であり、Mw/Mnは1.32であった。

得られた重合体(A5)のMnは19,500であり、Mw/Mnは1.35であった。

得られた重合体(A6)のMnは19,500であり、Mw/Mnは1.35であった。

得られた重合体(A7)のMnは20,000であり、Mw/Mnは1.40であった。
ポリオキシプロピレントリオール(Mw:1,000)を開始剤とし、亜鉛ヘキサシアノコバルテート-tert-ブチルアルコール錯体触媒の50ppmの存在下で、プロピレンオキシド(以下、POという。)を反応させて、数平均分子量(Mn)が25,000で、分子量分布(Mw/Mn)が1.2のポリオキシプロピレントリオール(以下、「pP-2」という。)を得た。
耐圧反応器(内容積5L)に重合体(pP-2)3,000gを入れ、内温を110℃に保持しながら減圧脱水した。つぎに、反応器内雰囲気を窒素ガスに置換し、内温を50℃に保持しながら、ウレタン化触媒としてナーセム亜鉛(日本化学産業社製)をpP-2に対して約50ppm添加し、撹拌した後、NCO/OHが0.97となるように、1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシラン(純度95%)を59.3g投入した。続いて、内温を80℃に8時間保持して、重合体(pP-2)と1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシランをウレタン化反応させ、FT-IRにてイソシアネートのピークが消失していることを確認した。その後、常温まで冷却し、末端にメチルジメトキシシリル基を有するオキシプロピレン重合体(以下、「重合体(A8)」という)を得た。
得られた重合体(A8)のMnは26,600であり、Mw/Mnは1.39であった。
ポリオキシプロピレンジオール(Mw:3,000)を開始剤として、亜鉛ヘキサシアノコバルテート-グライム錯体触媒(DMCグライム)(200ppm)存在下でPOを反応させて、数平均分子量(Mw)が16,000で、分子量分布が1.38のポリオキシプロピレンジオール(重合体pP-3)を得た。残存する複合金属シアン化物錯体の触媒量は、亜鉛が21.5ppmであり、コバルトが9.2ppmであった。
耐圧反応器(内容積5L)に重合体(pP-3)3,000gを入れ、内温を110℃に保持しながら減圧脱水した。つぎに、反応器内雰囲気を窒素ガスに置換し、内温を50℃に保持しながら、NCO/OHが0.97となるように、1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシラン(純度95%)を61.7g投入した。続いて、内温を80℃に8時間保持して、重合体(pP-3)と1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシランをウレタン化反応させ、FT-IRにてイソシアネートのピークが消失していることを確認した。その後、常温まで冷却し、末端にメチルジメトキシシリル基を有するオキシプロピレン重合体(以下、「重合体(A9)」という)を得た。
得られた重合体(A9)のMnは17,000であり、Mw/Mnは1.35であった。
ポリオキシプロピレンジオール(Mw:3,000)を開始剤とし、亜鉛ヘキサシアノコバルテート-tert-ブチルアルコール錯体触媒50ppmの存在下で、プロピレンオキシド(以下、POという。)を反応させて、数平均分子量(Mn)が12,000で、分子量分布(Mw/Mn)が1.2のポリオキシプロピレンジオール(以下、「pP-4」という。)を得た。
耐圧反応器(内容積5L)に重合体(pP-4)3,000gを入れ、内温を110℃に保持しながら減圧脱水した。つぎに、反応器内雰囲気を窒素ガスに置換し、内温を50℃に保持しながら、ウレタン化触媒として無機ビスマス触媒(ネオスタンU-600(日東化成社製))をpP-4に対して約80ppm添加し、撹拌した後、NCO/OHが0.97となるように、1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシラン(純度95%)を82.0g投入した。続いて、内温を80℃に8時間保持して、重合体(pP-4)と1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシランをウレタン化反応させ、FT-IRにてイソシアネートのピークが消失していることを確認した。その後、常温まで冷却し、末端にメチルジメトキシシリル基を有するオキシプロピレン重合体(以下、「重合体(A10)」という)を得た。
得られた重合体(A10)のMnは13,000であり、Mw/Mnは1.35であった。
ポリオキシプロピレンジオール(Mw:3,000)を開始剤とし、亜鉛ヘキサシアノコバルテート-tert-ブチルアルコール錯体触媒50ppmの存在下で、プロピレンオキシド(以下、POという。)を反応させて、数平均分子量(Mn)が10,000で、分子量分布(Mw/Mn)が1.2のポリオキシプロピレンジオール(以下、「pP-5」という。)を得た。
耐圧反応器(内容積5L)に重合体(pP-5)3,000gを入れ、内温を110℃に保持しながら減圧脱水した。つぎに、反応器内雰囲気を窒素ガスに置換し、内温を50℃に保持しながら、ウレタン化触媒として無機ビスマス触媒(ネオスタンU-600(日東化成社製))をpP-5に対して約160ppm添加し、撹拌した後、NCO/OHが0.97となるように、1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシラン(純度95%)を98.4g投入した。続いて、内温を80℃に8時間保持して、重合体(pP-5)と1-イソシアネートメチルメチルジメトキシシランをウレタン化反応させ、FT-IRにてイソシアネートのピークが消失していることを確認した。その後、常温まで冷却し、末端にメチルジメトキシシリル基を有するオキシプロピレン重合体(以下、「重合体(A11)」という)を得た。
得られた重合体(A11)のMnは11,000であり、Mw/Mnは1.33であった。
ポリオキシプロピレンジオール(Mw:3,000)を開始剤として、亜鉛ヘキサシアノコバルテート-グライム錯体触媒(DMCグライム)50ppmの存在下でPOを反応させて、数平均分子量(Mw)が16,000で、分子量分布が1.38のポリオキシプロピレンジオール(重合体pP-A)を得た。
これとは別に、ポリオキシプロピレントリオール(Mw:5,000)を開始剤として亜鉛ヘキサシアノコバルテート-グライム錯体触媒存在下でPOを反応させて、数平均分子量(Mw)が20,000で、分子量分布が1.30のポリオキシプロピレントリオール(重合体pP-B)を得た。
得られた重合体pP-AとpP-Bとを、pP-A:pP-B=7:3(質量比)で混合して、重合体混合物pP-Cを得た。
該重合体混合物pP-C中の水酸基に対して1.05当量のナトリウムメトキシドのメタノール溶液を加え、加熱減圧下でメタノールを留去してポリオキシアルキレングリコールの水酸基を-ONa基に変換した。次いで-ONa基に対して1.20当量の塩化アリルを加えて反応させた後、減圧下で未反応の塩化アリルを除去し、さらに副生した塩を精製により除去し、アリル基末端オキシアルキレン重合体(pP-D)を得た。
重合体(pP-D)の1,000gをセパラブルフラスコに入れて、100℃で2時間脱水した後、80℃まで降温し、イソプロパノールに溶解させた塩化白金酸を投入した。その後、メチルジメトキシハイドロシランの14.7gを入れて80℃で4時間反応させた。その後、同温度で2時間かけて未反応のシランを除去し、重合体(A12)を得た。重合体(A12)のMnは17,000、分子量分布1.39であった。
攪拌機付きの耐圧反応器に重合体(A5)の400gを入れ、約67℃に昇温した。反応容器内温を約67℃に保ち、窒素雰囲気下、攪拌しながら、メタクリル酸メチルの72g、アクリル酸-n―ブチルの6.5g、メタクリル酸-n-ブチルの29.0g、3-メタクリロイルオキシプロピルトリエトキシシランの15.0g、およびn-ドデシルメルカプタンの14.0g、ならびに2,2’-アゾビス(2,4-ジメチルバレロニトリル)(商品名:V65、和光純薬社製)の2.5gからなる混合溶液を前記重合体(A5)中に8時間かけて滴下して重合を行い、重合体(A5)中に(メタ)アクレート共重合体が分散している重合体(A13)を得た。また、得られた重合体(A13)は、ヘキサン中で溶解させた後、遠心分離を行い、抽出し、(メタ)アクリレート共重合体の数平均分子量(Mn)を測定した。この(メタ)アクリレート共重合体の数平均分子量(Mn)は4,000であった。
ポリオキシプロピレンジオール(Mw:3,000)を開始剤にして分子量を変更したほかは製造例1と同様にして、数平均分子量(Mn)が15,000で、分子量分布(Mw/Mn)が1.2のポリオキシプロピレンジオール(重合体(pP-6))を得た。
耐圧反応器(内容積5L)に重合体(pP-6)3,000gを入れ、内温を110℃に保持しながら減圧脱水した。つぎに、反応器内雰囲気を窒素ガスに置換し、内温を50℃に保持しながら、ウレタン化触媒として配位子中に硫黄原子を含む有機スズ化合物触媒(ネオスタンU-860(日東化成社製))を、pP-6に対して約80ppm添加し、撹拌した後、NCO/OHが0.97となるように、3-イソシアネートプロピルトリメトキシシラン(純度95%)を86.1g投入した。続いて、内温を80℃に8時間保持して、重合体(pP-6)と3-イソシアネートプロピルトリメトキシシランをウレタン化反応させ、FT-IRにてイソシアネートのピークが消失していることを確認した。その後、常温まで冷却し、末端にトリメトキシシリル基を有するオキシプロピレン重合体(以下、「重合体(A14)」という)を得た。
得られた重合体(A14)のMnは16,100であり、Mw/Mnは1.38であった。
[硬化性原料組成物の製造]
実施例1~28として、上記各重合体A1~A13、もしくは、A5とA12の7:3(質量比)の混合物に対して、表1に示す酸の添加量(質量部)で、酸を添加して硬化性原料組成物を調製した。但し、比較例1~13では酸を用いなかった。比較例14および15では、表2に示す添加量で酸を添加した。比較例16では、酸の代わりにメルカプトプロピルトリメトキシシランを表2に示す量を添加した。なお、表1および表2における酸の添加量は、上記各重合体100質量部に対する添加量(質量部)である。
使用した酸は以下の通りである。
リン酸:純正化学、試薬特級、濃度85%
水溶液酸性リン酸エステル:大八化学工業社製、AP-8(リン酸ビス(2-エチルヘキシル)エステル[O=P(OH)(OC8H17)2]とリン酸モノ(2-エチルヘキシル)エステル[O=P(OC8H17)(OH)2]との混合物)
乳酸:純正化学、試薬特級、濃度85~92.0%
水溶液酢酸:純正化学、試薬特級、濃度99.7%
水溶液塩酸:純正化学、試薬特級、濃度69~70%
水溶液硫酸:純正化学、純正一級、濃度95%水溶液
[評価例1]硬化性原料組成物の増粘率の測定
各硬化性原料組成物の増粘率の測定を行った。
増粘率は、E型粘度計(製品名:RE80型粘度計、東機産業社製、ローターはNo.4)を用いて測定した。測定温度は25℃とした。初期粘度(Pa・s)とは調製直後の硬化性原料組成物の粘度を、後期粘度(Pa・s)とは硬化性原料組成物を70℃にて2週間貯蔵した後の硬化性組成物の粘度を、増粘率とは(後期粘度-初期粘度)/初期粘度の%値を示す。各比較例の硬化性原料組成物の増粘率についても同様に測定した。結果を下記表1および表2に示す。
[評価例2]硬化性原料組成物の臭気、着色および腐食の有無の判定
各硬化性原料組成物の臭気、着色および腐食の有無を判定した。結果を表1および表2に示す。
なお、臭気は、250ml容器に硬化性原料組成物200mlを充填密閉し、70℃1週間後、容器内臭気を嗅覚で判定した。着色は、硬化性原料組成物を70℃2週間後、目視にてハーゼンナンバー(JISK 0101準拠)100以上のものを着色有りと判定した。腐食は、貯安試験に用いたアルミ缶内部を目視にて確認し、錆の有無にて判定した。各比較例の硬化性原料組成物についても同様に判定した。
下記表1および表2において、上記判定法により臭気が無いと判定された場合には○、臭気があると判定された場合には×と記載する。また、着色が無いと判定された場合には○、着色があると判定された場合には×と記載する。同様に、腐食が無いと判定された場合には○、あると判定された場合には×と記載する。
[硬化性製品組成物の製造]
実施例1の硬化性原料組成物(初期粘度品)100質量部に、充填材として表面処理炭酸カルシウム(白石カルシウム社製 白艶華CCR)の50質量部、および重質炭酸カルシウム(日東粉化工社製 NS-400)の30質量部を加え、遊星式撹拌器(クラボウ社製)にて撹拌混合した。次に、温度を25℃まで下げてから、ビニルトリメトキシシラン(信越化学社製 KBM-1003)の5質量部、N-(2-アミノエチル)-3-アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン(信越化学社製 KBM-603)の3重量部、および3-グリシジルオキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン(信越化学社製KBM-403)の1質量部を加え撹拌混合した。その後、硬化触媒としてジブチルスズジラウレートの2質量部を加え、撹拌混合して実施例29の硬化性製品組成物を得た。
また、上記硬化性原料組成物(初期粘度品)の代わりに、硬化性原料組成物(後期粘度品)を使用した以外は全て同様にして、粘度測定用の硬化性製品組成物を得た。
[評価例3]硬化性製品組成物および配合組成物の増粘率の測定
上記実施例29~35で得られた硬化性製品組成物および比較例17で得られた配合組成物を製造直後に25℃にて粘度測定したものを初期粘度品とし、同様に25℃にて5時間貯蔵したものを後期粘度品とし、5時間貯蔵し、その後、B8U型粘度計にて6号ローターを用い、10rpmの条件で粘度(単位;Pa・s)を測定した。粘度の測定結果を表3に示す。
また、(硬化性製品組成物(後期粘度品)の粘度-硬化性製品組成物(初期粘度品))/硬化性製品組成物(初期粘度品)を増粘率とした。得られた結果を表3に示す。
[評価例4]硬化性製品組成物および配合組成物の引張り試験
上記実施例29~35で得られた硬化性製品組成物および比較例17で得られた配合組成物の硬化物からなる試験片を作製し、引張試験を行った。引張試験はJIS K6251に準拠して行った。得られた結果を表3に示す。
具体的には、硬化性製品組成物および配合組成物を、それぞれの厚みが2mmのシート状となるように成形し、23℃、湿度50%RHにて7日間硬化養生した。その後、50℃、湿度65%RHにて7日間養生した。さらに、23℃、湿度50%RHにて24時間以上放置して硬化物を得た。得られたシート状の硬化物を3号ダンベル形状に打ち抜いて試験片とした。試験片の厚みを測定した後、テンシロン試験機を使用して、50%伸張した時の応力(M50、単位:N/mm2)、最大引張応力(Tmax、単位:N/mm2)、破断時の伸び量(E、単位:%)を測定した。その結果を表3に示す。
[評価例5]硬化性製品組成物および配合組成物の表面タック試験
各実施例で得られた硬化性製品組成物および比較例で得られた配合組成物のそれぞれについてJIS A1439に準拠して表面タック試験を行った。
具体的には、硬化性製品組成物および配合組成物の硬化物の表面を指触した際に、該硬化物が指に付着しなくなる時間をタックフリー時間(分)として測定した。その結果を表3に示す。
本発明の硬化性原料組成物を用いた硬化性製品組成物、および本発明の硬化性原料組成物を用いない配合組成物の配合例と硬化物の物性を下記表4に示す。配合例に記載の数値の範囲は質量部である。硬化物の物性の評価方法は、上記各実施例と同様である。
また、硬化性製品組成物および配合組成物の粘度の測定方法は、上記評価例3と同様である。

※8:KBM-403(製品名)3-グリシジルオキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン(信越化学社製)
※9:DBTDL(製品名) ジブチル錫ジラウレート(東京化成工業社製)
※10:U810(製品名)オクチル酸錫触媒(日東化成社製)
表3に示したとおり、本発明の硬化性原料組成物を用いて得られた実施例29~35の硬化性製品組成物は、増粘率が100%以内で、タックフリー時間が短かった。本発明の硬化性原料組成物を用いなかった比較例17では増粘率が100%以上であった。
表4に示したとおり、本発明の硬化性原料組成物を用いて得られた実施例36~40の硬化性製品組成物は、製造時にゲル化も無く、物性も良好であった。本発明の硬化性原料組成物を用いなかった比較例18の配合組成物はゲル化した。

Claims (8)
- 前記無機酸または酸素原子に結合した活性水素を有する有機酸の酸解離定数pKaが8以下である請求項1に記載の硬化性組成物。
- 前記無機酸または酸素原子に結合した活性水素を有する有機酸の酸解離定数pKaが1~8である請求項1または2に記載の硬化性組成物。
- 前記無機酸または酸素原子に結合した活性水素を有する有機酸が酢酸、乳酸、リン酸および酸性リン酸エステルからなる群から選択される酸である請求項1に記載の硬化性組成物。
- 前記重合体(P)の数平均分子量が1,000~50,000である請求項1~4のうちいずれか一項に記載の硬化性組成物。
- 前記式(I)中のX1がメトキシ基である請求項1~5のうちいずれか一項記載の硬化性組成物。
- 前記式(I)中のR2およびR3が水素原子である請求項1~6のうちいずれか一項に記載の硬化性組成物。
