Abstract
Description
特許文献2,3には、ナイロンフィルムの両側にポリオレフィン層が積層されたり、ナイロンフィルムの一面に熱融着層が積層されたピロー包装用ケーシング材が開示されている。
また、特許文献2に記載のピロー包装用ケーシング材を用いたピロー包装体では、ピロー包装体の両端部を金属クリップで封止するため、食する際に開封が困難である。また、金属クリップのために、製造段階での金属異物検出ができず、また、廃棄時の分別も困難となる。さらに、金属クリップによる封止では、密封性が不十分である。
さらに、特許文献3に記載のピロー包装用ケーシング材を用いたピロー包装体では、外側表面にナイロンフィルムが配置されるため、ピロー包装体に高温熱水でレトルト処理を施すと、硬化が起こり脆くなり強度が低くなるおそれがある。また、充填作業や輸送作業時にピロー包装体にピンホールが発生するおそれもある。
また、前記二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムは、ナイロン6とメタキシリレンアジパミドとを含有し、メタキシリレンアジパミドに対するナイロン6の質量比((ナイロン6)/(メタキシリレンアジパミド))が1.5以上6以下であり、チューブラー方式にてMD方向(フィルムの移動方向)およびTD方向(フィルムの幅方向)にともに2.8倍以上の延伸倍率で延伸されて形成されたことが好ましい。
さらに、前記保護層は、厚さが0.5μm以上5μm以下であることが好ましい。
また、前記接着部には、切り込みが形成されたことが好ましい。
また、本発明によれば、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムに、PVDC等の特定の樹脂を用いて溶剤コーティングされた保護層を形成したため、易裂性、耐熱性及び強度に優れる。従って、高温熱水によるレトルト処理時に二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムを保護して破袋などを防止でき、しかも、容易に切り裂くこともできる。さらに、本発明によれば、魚肉などの充填作業時にピンホールが発生することを抑制できる。
本実施形態のピロー包装用ケーシング材1(以下、「ケーシング材1」)は、図1に示すようなピロー包装体2に用いられるラミネートフィルムである。このケーシング材1は、図2に示すように、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11と、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11の一面側に積層された接着層12と、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11の接着層12と反対側に積層された保護層13とを備える。
この二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11は、バージン原料と、熱履歴品とを原料として含むブレンド品である。
バージン原料は、ナイロン6(以下、「Ny6」)と、メタキシリレンアジパミド(以下、「MXD6」)とを含有し、MXD6に対するNy6の質量比((Ny6)/(MXD6))が1.5以上6以下である。
一方、熱履歴品は、Ny6及びMXD6を溶融混練したものである。熱履歴品におけるMXD6の融点は、234℃以上238℃以下で、かつ、熱履歴品の配合量は、原料全量基準で5質量%以上40質量%以下である。
ここで、Ny6の化学式(1)を以下に示す。
接着層12として、CPPを主成分としてメタロセンPPを混合したものを用いることで、CPP単独のものと比べて、耐圧強度や落板強度がより向上できる。
ここで、接着層12が延伸ポリプロピレン樹脂(OPP)を主成分とする場合、ピロー包装体2とするとシール強度が低く耐衝撃性が低くなるためである。
ここで、保護層13をエマルジョンコーティングにより形成する場合では、懸濁水液を用いるため、レトルト処理時に100℃を超えると、保護層13が白化しやすくなり、外観性が低下する場合があるためである。
一方、保護層13の厚さが5μmを超える場合、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11の収縮性を阻害して魚肉などを包装できないおそれがある。また、厚さが5μmを超える保護層13を形成するためには、2度コーティング(2度塗り)しなければならず、コストアップとなり好ましくない。
ここで、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11の厚さは、例えば、魚肉を包装する場合、12μm以上25μm以下であり、接着層12の厚さは、25μm以上60μm以下が好ましい。
なお、保護層13が二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11と接着層12との間に配置されている場合では、易裂性が低下する。
次に、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11の製造方法について説明する。
二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11は、チューブラー方式の二軸延伸装置を用いて製造することができる。二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11は、例えば、Ny6のペレット、MXD6のペレットおよび熱履歴品をドライブレンドした混合物を溶融押出しした後に冷却し、得られた原反フィルムをMD方向およびTD方向共に2.8倍以上の倍率で二軸延伸する。延伸後の原反フィルムを150℃以上215℃以下の温度で熱処理することにより製造できる。なお、二軸延伸方式は、同時二軸延伸でもよく、逐次二軸延伸でもよい。また、テンター方式の二軸延伸装置を用いても良い。
この後、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11に保護層13を溶剤コーティングにより形成する。具体的には、保護層13を構成するPVDC樹脂等をTHF(テトラヒドロフラン)などの溶剤に溶かして溶液とし、この溶液を二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11に塗布する。そして、加熱して溶媒を除去し、保護層13を形成する。
次に、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11に接着層12を積層する。積層方式としては、例えばエクストルージョンラミネート、ホットメルトラミネート、ドライラミネート、ウエットラミネート等が挙げられる。
これにより、ケーシング材1を製造することができる。
図1に示すように、ピロー包装体2は、ケーシング材1により形成され、魚肉などの食品を密着包装する。ピロー包装体2は、長手状で長手方向の両端に接着部21と、一方の接着部21から他方の接着部21に亘って合掌貼りにて形成された背貼部21Aとを有する。そして、接着部21の少なくとも一方には、MD方向(ケーシング材1の移動方向)に切り込み22が形成されていることが好ましい。
また、ピロー包装体2は、内部に魚肉などの食品を収容するための収容空間を有する。
ピロー包装体2を構成するケーシング材1においては、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11の収容空間側に接着層12が配置され、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11の収容空間と反対側、つまり外側表面には、保護層13が配置されている。
なお、保護層13の外側表面側に、エチレン-ビニルアルコール樹脂などを使用したバリア層がさらに積層されている場合、易裂性が低下する場合があるので好ましくない。
次に、ピロー包装体2の製造方法について説明する。
図1に示すようなピロー包装体2は、公知のピロー包装機を用いて製造できる。まず、ケーシング材1の接着層12を内側にして、ケーシング材1の移動方向となる長手方向に沿って長手状の背貼部21Aを形成する。一方、魚肉のすり身を連続的に供給してケーシング材1にすり身を充填する。
次に、ケーシング材1の長手方向の両端に接着部21を形成してピロー包装体2を得る。ここで、接着部21は、接着層12が互いに重ね合わされた状態で熱接着などにより形成される(合掌貼り)。その後、接着部21に、ケーシング材1の流れ方向に沿って切り込み22を形成する。
そして、得られたピロー包装体2にレトルト処理を施す。レトルト処理は、例えば、120℃で4分以上40分以下行う。これにより、ピロー包装体2が収縮して、魚肉などの収容物を密着包装する。
本実施形態のケーシング材1では、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11の一面にCPPを主成分とする接着層12を積層し、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11の他面に保護層13を積層し、保護層13はPVDC等の特定の樹脂により形成した。
従って、接着層12がCPPを主成分としたため、延伸ポリプロピレン(OPP)樹脂を主成分とする場合と比較して、シール強度を高くでき、耐衝撃性などの強度を向上させることができる。よって、接着層12によりピロー包装体2の接着部21を形成することで、金属クリップを用いることなく、開封が容易で高強度のピロー包装体2を得ることができる。
さらに、ケーシング材1を用いたピロー包装体2では、金属クリップを用いる必要が無いので、完全密封が可能となり、金属異物検出ができ、廃棄時の分別が容易になる。
また、PVDC樹脂などの特定の樹脂を用いて保護層13を形成したため、耐熱性及び強度に優れる。従って、高温熱水によるレトルト処理時に二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11を保護でき、破袋等を防止できる。また、保護層13を備えるため、充填作業時などにピンホールが発生することを抑制できる。
さらに、PVDC樹脂などを用いて溶剤コーティングにより保護層13を形成したため、レトルト処理時に100℃を超える場合であっても、保護層13が白化することを抑制でき、外観が低下することを防止できる。
そして、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11は易裂性に優れるため、容易に切り裂くことができるケーシング材1とすることができる。従って、ケーシング材1は、食品包装用として好適である。
さらに、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11を、チューブラー法により延伸倍率を2.8倍以上として形成したため、テンター法により形成する場合よりも強度を向上させることができる。
また、接着層12を特定の厚さとしたため、熱収縮性、耐熱性及び強度をさらに向上させることができる。
また、ピロー包装体2の接着部21に切り込み22を形成したため、食する際に切り込み22から直線状に容易に引き裂くことができ、魚肉などの収容物の取出しが容易になる。そして、切り込み22を二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム11のMD方向に沿って形成したため、さらに、直線カット性を向上できる。
なお、本発明は、前記した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の目的及び効果を達成できる範囲内での変形や改良が、本発明の内容に含まれるものであることはいうまでもない。また、本発明を実施する際における具体的な構造及び形状等は、本発明の目的及び効果を達成できる範囲内において、他の構造や形状等としても問題はない。
例えば、ピロー包装用ケーシング材はラミネートフィルムとしたが、所定の厚さを有する積層シートでもよい。
また、ピロー包装用ケーシング材は、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムと接着層と保護層との3層である構成を示したが、4層以上でも良い。例えば、保護層の外側(二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムと反対側)には、さらに、滑り剤、帯電防止剤などが塗布されていてもよい。保護層にエルカ酸アミドなどの滑り剤を塗布する場合では、レトルト処理前の充填を容易に実施できる。また、保護層に滑り剤が配合されていてもよい。
そして、保護層は溶剤コーティングにより形成する構成を示したが、エマルジョンコーティングにより形成しても良い。エマルジョンコーティングとしては、例えば、保護層を構成する樹脂の懸濁水液とし、この懸濁水液を二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムに塗布することにより形成する。
また、ピロー包装体は魚肉などを密着包装する構成を示したが、密着せずに所定の空間を有して包装しても良い。
さらに、ピロー包装体は魚肉などを包装する食品包装用に使用する構成を示したが、医薬品や工業材料、化粧品等を包装してもよい。
図3は、本発明に係る実施例及び比較例のピロー包装体を評価するための落板衝撃試験を説明する図である。図4は、本発明に係る実施例及び比較例のピロー包装体を評価するための静圧保持試験を説明する図である。図5は、本発明に係る実施例及び比較例のピロー包装体を評価するための落下試験を説明する図である。図6は、本発明に用いられる二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムを評価するための直線カット性試験を説明する図である。
以下のようにして、実施例1から実施例11まで及び比較例1から比較例5までのピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
表1に示すように、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムには、ユニアスロンTB(商品名、出光ユニテック(株)製)を用いた。この二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムは、Ny6とMXD6とのブレンド品(ブレンド比((Ny6)/(MXD6))=2)であり、チューブラー法により二軸延伸され、厚さが15μmである。なお、この二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムの120℃における収縮率は、MD方向が7.0%、TD方向が5.5%である。
そして、この二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムの一面に保護層として、PVDC樹脂を3μm溶剤コーティングした。一方、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムの保護層と反対側に、接着層(レトルト用CPPシーラント)40μmを積層してピロー包装用ケーシング材とした。
次に、ピロー包装機を用いて、ピロー包装用ケーシング材により収容物(ソーセージ)を20g充填シールし、保護層が外側表面(ラミ外面)となる状態にピロー包装体を作製した。その後、レトルト釜にて、120℃、20分殺菌処理した。
保護層の厚みを1μmとした以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
(実施例3)
保護層としてPVDC樹脂の代わりにアクリル樹脂を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
(実施例4)
保護層としてPVDC樹脂の代わりにウレタン樹脂を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
(実施例5)
保護層としてPVDC樹脂の代わりにPET樹脂を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
(実施例6)
二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムとして、テンター法により二軸延伸されたNC(商品名、ユニチカ(株)製)を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。なお、この二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムの120℃における収縮率は、MD方向が6.0%、TD方向が4.0%である。
(実施例7)
保護層の厚みを1μmとし、PVDC樹脂の代わりに硝化綿アミド樹脂を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
(実施例8)
保護層の厚みを0.6μmとし、PVDC樹脂の代わりに硝化綿アミド樹脂を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
(実施例9)
保護層の厚みを0.4μmとし、PVDC樹脂の代わりに硝化綿アミド樹脂を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
(実施例10)
二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムとして、収縮性を有する二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムであるユニアスロンTBの収縮タイプ(出光ユニテック(株)製)を用い、保護層の厚みを2μmとした以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。なお、この二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムの120℃における収縮率は、MD方向が19.0%、TD方向が16.0%である。
(実施例11)
保護層の厚みを2μmとし、接着層として、CPPを主成分としてメタロセンPP(MPP)を混合したものを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムと接着層との間に保護層を積層した(ラミ内面)以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
(比較例2)
保護層を積層しなかった以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
(比較例3)
二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムとしてNCを用い、保護層を積層しなかった以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
(比較例4)
保護層としてPVDC樹脂を用いてエマルジョンコーティングにより形成した以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
(比較例5)
保護層の厚みを1μmとし、PVDC樹脂の代わりに硝化綿を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてピロー包装用ケーシング材及びピロー包装体を作製した。
実施例1から実施例11まで及び比較例1から比較例5までにて得られたピロー包装体について下記落板衝撃試験、耐圧試験、落下試験、易裂性試験を実施し、各評価基準により評価した。
落板衝撃試験は、図3に示すような落板衝撃試験装置を用いて実施した。この落板衝撃試験装置は、ピロー包装体9Aを載置するための平板状の載置板9A1と、この載置板9A1に連結部9A2を介して接続された平板状の落板9A3とにより構成されている。
落板9A3は、1kgのプラスチック板であり、高さが20cmである(図3の上下方向の長さ)。落板衝撃試験では、ピロー包装体9Aを落板9A3と載置板9A1に挟み込む状態に、載置板9A1に落板9A3を繰り返し打ち付けた。その後、ピロー包装体9Aの状態を下記評価基準により評価した。
A:50回以上打ち付けてもピロー包装体が破裂しない。
B:30回以上打ち付けてもピロー包装体が破裂しない。
C:11~29回打ち付けても、ピロー包装体が破裂しない。
D:3~10回打ち付けても、ピロー包装体が破裂しない。
E:2回以下でピロー包装体が破裂する。
耐圧試験は、図4に示すような耐圧試験装置を用いて実施した。耐圧試験装置は、ピロー包装体9Bを載置するための平板状の載置板9B1と、この載置板9B1との間にピロー包装体9Bを挟んで、ピロー包装体9Bを押圧する平板状の押圧板9B2とにより構成されている。
耐圧試験では、押圧板9B2により、10kgの荷重を5分間ピロー包装体9Bに加えて、ピロー包装体9Bの状態を下記評価基準により評価した。
A:20分間以上荷重を加えてもピロー包装体が破裂しない。
B:10分間以上荷重を加えてもピロー包装体が破裂しない。
C:5分間以上10分間未満荷重を加えてもピロー包装体が破裂しない。
D:1分間以上5分間未満荷重を加えてもピロー包装体が破裂しない。
E:1分間未満の荷重を加えるとピロー包装体が破裂する。
落下試験では、図5に示すように、1mの高さよりピロー包装体9Cを鉄板9C1に対して垂直にした状態で繰り返し落として、ピロー包装体9Cの状態を下記評価基準により評価した。
A:100回以上落下させてもピロー包装体が破裂しない。
B:50回以上落下させてもピロー包装体が破裂しない。
C:10回以上49回以下の回数、落下させてもピロー包装体が破裂しない。
D:3回以上9回以下の回数、落下させてもピロー包装体が破裂しない。
E:2回以下の落下でピロー包装体が破裂する。
接着部に切り込み(ノッチ)を形成し、その切り込みからピロー包装用ケーシング材を引き裂いて開封性を下記評価基準により評価した。
(評価基準)
A:7cmちぎれずに引き裂いて開封できる。
B:5cmちぎれずに引き裂いて開封できる。
C:3cmちぎれずに引き裂いて開封できる。
D:1cmちぎれずに引き裂いて開封できる。
E:ピロー包装用ケーシング材が切れない。
実施例1から実施例11までと比較例1から比較例5までとを比較すると、実施例1から実施例11までのピロー包装体では、特定範囲の厚さで特定樹脂からなる保護層が二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムよりもピロー包装体の外側に配置されている。そのため、高温熱水によるレトルト処理を実施した後でも、破袋せず、強度及び耐熱性に優れ、また易裂性も良好であることが分かった。
また、実施例1から実施例5までと実施例6とを比較すると、テンター法よりもチューブラー法により作製した二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムの方が、強度及び易裂性に優れることが分かった。
さらに、実施例1から実施例8までと実施例10とを比較すると、二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムとしてTBまたはNCを用いたものよりもTB収縮タイプを用いたものの方が、強度及び易裂性がさらに優れることが分かった。
また、実施例1から実施例8までと実施例11とを比較すると、接着層にCPPを単独で用いたものよりも、CPPを主成分としてMPPを混合したものの方が、耐圧強度や落板強度がさらに優れることが分かった。
さらに、実施例7および実施例8と実施例9とを比較すると、保護フィルムの厚みが0.5μm未満の場合、易裂性はかわらないが、十分な強度が得られないことが分かった。
一方、比較例1では、保護層を二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムよりもピロー包装体の内側に配置したため、強度及び易裂性が低いこと分かった。
また、比較例2,3では、保護層を形成しなかったため、特に強度が低いことが分かった。
さらに、比較例4では、エマルジョンコーティングにより保護層を形成したため、強度が低く、また、保護膜が白化し外観が不良であることが分かった。
さらにまた、比較例5では、保護層に硝化綿を用いたため、保護層が二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムから剥離することが分かった。
Ny6及びMXD6をそれぞれ80質量部及び20質量部の割合で混合したものを押出機中、270℃で溶融混練した後、溶融物を直径90mmのダイスから円筒状のフィルムとして押出し、引き続き水で急冷して原反フィルムを作製した。
次に、得られた延伸フィルムについて、引裂き強度及び衝撃強度(フィルム・インパクト)を測定し、また易裂性及び直線カット性を評価した。その結果を下記の表2に示す。前記引裂き強度の測定は、フィルムの延伸方向についてJIS-Z1702に準じてエレメンドルフ引裂き強度(kg/cm)を測定することにより行った。
前記易裂性は、エレメンドルフ引裂き強度のE値について、E≦7kg/cmを「B」として評価した。なお、E値が9kg/cm以上になると、裂け易さが顕著に低下してゆき、特に直線カット性が急激に落ちてゆくためである。
前記直線カット性は、次のようにして評価した。即ち、図6に示すように、20cm幅の二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム9Dに所定間隔Ws、例えば2cm間隔で切れ目9D1を入れ、これらの切れ目9D1に沿って二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム9Dを引き裂く。この後、フィルム片9D2の他端9D3の幅Weを測定し、元の間隔Wsとの偏差αを下記の通り求める。
α=〔(Ws-We)/Ws〕×100
(評価基準)
A:α(%)が±10%未満(直線カット性が非常に良好)
B:±10%≦α≦±30%(直線カット性が良好)
また、表2の総合評価の欄では、Aは非常に良好、Bは良好をそれぞれ示す。
上記実施例12において、Ny6とMXD6の混合割合及び延伸倍率を表2に示すように変えて、実施例12と同様の製造工程により実施例13から実施例19までに係る二軸延伸フィルムを得た。各実施例に係るフィルムについても、実施例12と同様に各種特性の測定及び評価を行った。その結果を表2に示す。
実施例12から実施例19までの二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムは、Ny6及びMXD6を含有し、Ny6の質量比が1.5以上6以下であって、二軸延伸時におけるナイロンフィルムの延伸倍率がMD方向及びTD方向共に2.8倍以上である。そのため、いずれも引裂き強度が7.0kg/cm以下で易裂性に優れ、直線カット性も良好か非常に良好であることが分かった。また、衝撃強度がいずれも5500kg・cm/cm以上であったため、食品包装用のピロー包装体に用いることができる高い衝撃強度を有していることが分かった。

Claims (5)
- 二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムと、この二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムに積層され無延伸ポリプロピレン樹脂を主成分とする接着層とを備えたピロー包装用ケーシング材であって、
前記二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムの前記接着層と反対側には、保護層が積層され、
前記保護層は、ポリ塩化ビニリデン樹脂、アクリル樹脂、ウレタン樹脂、ポリエチレンテレフタレート樹脂、及び硝化綿アミド樹脂のうちの少なくともいずれかを用いて溶剤コーティングにより形成された
ことを特徴とするピロー包装用ケーシング材。 - 前記二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムは、ナイロン6とメタキシリレンアジパミドとを含有し、メタキシリレンアジパミドに対するナイロン6の質量比((ナイロン6)/(メタキシリレンアジパミド))が1.5以上6以下であり、チューブラー方式にてMD方向(フィルムの移動方向)およびTD方向(フィルムの幅方向)にともに2.8倍以上の延伸倍率で延伸されて形成された
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のピロー包装用ケーシング材。 - 前記保護層は、厚さが0.5μm以上5μm以下である
ことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載のピロー包装用ケーシング材。 - 請求項1から請求項3までのいずれか一項に記載のピロー包装用ケーシング材により形成され、前記接着層が互いに重ね合わされた状態で接着されて形成された接着部および内部に収容空間を有したピロー包装体であって、
前記保護層は、前記二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムの前記収容空間と反対側に配置された
ことを特徴とするピロー包装体。 - 前記接着部には、切り込みが形成された
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載のピロー包装体。
