Abstract
Description
図1は、本発明の第1の実施の形態に係る通信システム1の全体構成を示す図である。移動体通信網2には、マクロセル基地局(eNodeB)41,42が接続されている。固定通信網3には、フェムトセル基地局(Home eNodeB)51,52が、光ファイバ等の有線通信回線61,62を介して接続されている。固定通信網3は、ゲートウェイ9を介して移動体通信網2に接続されている。移動体通信網2には、マクロセル基地局41,42の上位ノードとしてのMME(Mobility Management Entity)7が接続されている。また、移動体通信網2には、フェムトセル基地局51,52の上位ノードとしてのMME8が接続されている。MME7は、マクロセル基地局41,42を介した通信に関する通信管理装置として機能し、セッションの設定及び開放や、移動動作の制御等の各種の処理を実行する。同様に、MME8は、フェムトセル基地局51,52を介した通信に関する通信管理装置として機能し、セッションの設定及び開放や、移動動作の制御等の各種の処理を実行する。
図3は、本発明の第2の実施の形態に係る通信システム1の全体構成を示す図である。図1に示した構成に対してHLR(Home Location Register)等の管理サーバ10が追加されており、その他の構成は図1と同様である。管理サーバ10は、固定通信網3に接続されている。但し、管理サーバ10は必ずしも固定通信網3に接続されている必要はなく、通信システム1内の任意の箇所に設置されていれば良い。管理サーバ10には、既存の無線基地局(本実施の形態の例ではマクロセル基地局41,42及びフェムトセル基地局52)の設置場所に関する位置情報が、基地局ID等の識別情報に関連付けられて記憶されている。
図5は、本発明の第3の実施の形態に係る通信システム1の全体構成を示す図である。フェムトセル基地局51は、基地局-上位ノード間の論理インタフェース(S1インタフェース)にトンネリングさせた基地局-基地局間の論理インタフェース(X2インタフェース)を介して、周辺基地局であるマクロセル基地局42及びフェムトセル基地局52に接続されている。つまり、フェムトセル基地局51と周辺基地局との間に、S1インタフェースにトンネリングさせたX2インタフェース(以下「X2 over S1インタフェース」と称す)を用いた通信コネクションが確立されている。MME7,8及びゲートウェイ9は、このX2 over S1インタフェースを解釈でき、適切にルーティングを行うことが可能である。その他の構成は図1と同様である。
図7は、本発明の第4の実施の形態に係る通信システム1におけるX2インタフェースを用いた通信コネクション確立処理の手順を示す図である。
図9は、本発明の第5の実施の形態に係る通信システム1におけるX2インタフェースを用いた通信コネクション確立処理の手順を示す図である。
図10は、本発明の第6の実施の形態に係る通信システム1におけるX2インタフェースを用いた通信コネクション確立処理の手順を示す図である。

- 移動体通信網(2)と、
前記移動体通信網(2)に接続された固定通信網(3)と、
無線通信によって移動端末(100)と通信可能な複数の無線基地局と、
を備え、
前記無線基地局には、
前記移動体通信網(2)に接続された第1の基地局(41,42)と、
有線通信回線を介して前記固定通信網(3)に接続された第2の基地局(51,52)と、
が含まれ、
前記第2の基地局(51)と、当該第2の基地局(51)の周辺に位置する、前記第1の基地局(41,42)及び/又は他の前記第2の基地局(52)を含む周辺基地局と、の間には、所定の論理インタフェースを用いた通信コネクションが確立されている、通信システム。 - 前記所定の論理インタフェースとして、基地局-基地局間の論理インタフェースが用いられる、請求の範囲第1項に記載の通信システム。
- 前記第2の基地局(51,52)は、
前記周辺基地局の探索を行い、
当該探索に応答した前記周辺基地局に対して前記通信コネクションの確立の要求を行い、
当該要求に応答した前記周辺基地局との間で前記通信コネクションを確立する、請求の範囲第2項に記載の通信システム。 - 前記無線基地局の位置情報を保持する管理サーバ(10)をさらに備え、
前記第2の基地局(51,52)は、
前記周辺基地局に関する情報を前記管理サーバ(10)から取得し、
前記管理サーバ(10)から前記情報を取得した前記周辺基地局に対して前記通信コネクションの確立の要求を行い、
当該要求に応答した前記周辺基地局との間で前記通信コネクションを確立する、請求の範囲第2項に記載の通信システム。 - 前記所定の論理インタフェースとして、基地局-上位ノード間の論理インタフェースを利用した基地局-基地局間の論理インタフェースが用いられる、請求の範囲第1項に記載の通信システム。
- 前記基地局-上位ノード間の論理インタフェースを用いて前記第2の基地局(51,52)に接続され、前記周辺基地局に関する情報を収集する通信管理装置(8)をさらに備える、請求の範囲第5項に記載の通信システム。
- 前記第2の基地局(51,52)は、
前記周辺基地局に関する情報を前記通信管理装置(8)から取得し、
前記通信管理装置(8)から前記情報を取得した前記周辺基地局に対して、前記通信管理装置(8)を介して前記通信コネクションの確立の要求を行い、
当該要求に応答した前記周辺基地局との間で前記通信コネクションを確立する、請求の範囲第6項に記載の通信システム。 - 移動体通信網(2)と、
前記移動体通信網(2)に接続された固定通信網(3)と、
無線通信によって移動端末(100)と通信可能な複数の無線基地局と、
を備える通信システム(1)に用いられる小型基地局であって、
前記無線基地局には、
前記移動体通信網(2)に接続された第1の基地局(41,42)と、
有線通信回線を介して前記固定通信網(3)に接続された、前記小型基地局としての第2の基地局(51,52)と、
が含まれ、
前記第2の基地局(51)と、当該第2の基地局(51)の周辺に位置する、前記第1の基地局(41,42)及び/又は他の前記第2の基地局(52)を含む周辺基地局と、の間には、所定の論理インタフェースを用いた通信コネクションが確立されている、小型基地局。 - 移動体通信網(2)と、
前記移動体通信網(2)に接続された固定通信網(3)と、
無線通信によって移動端末(100)と通信可能な複数の無線基地局と、
を備える通信システム(1)における通信方法であって、
前記無線基地局には、
前記移動体通信網(2)に接続された第1の基地局(41,42)と、
有線通信回線を介して前記固定通信網(3)に接続された第2の基地局(51,52)と、
が含まれ、
前記第2の基地局(51)と、当該第2の基地局(51)の周辺に位置する、前記第1の基地局(41,42)及び/又は他の前記第2の基地局(52)を含む周辺基地局と、の間には、所定の論理インタフェースを用いた通信コネクションが確立されており、
前記第2の基地局(51)は、前記通信コネクションを介して前記周辺基地局と通信を行う、通信方法。 - 前記通信システム(1)は、さらに、移動体通信網(2)と固定通信網(3)との間に接続された中継装置(9)を備え、
前記第2の基地局(51,52,53)は、前記固定通信網(3)および前記中継装置(9)を介して前記移動体通信網(2)に接続され、
前記中継装置(9)および前記第2の基地局(51,52,53)は、前記中継装置(9)および前記第1の基地局間で前記基地局-基地局間の論理インタフェースを用いた通信コネクションが確立している場合には、前記中継装置(9)および前記第2の基地局(51,52,53)間で前記基地局-上位ノード間の論理インタフェースを利用した前記基地局-基地局間の論理インタフェースを用いる、請求の範囲第2項に記載の通信システム。 - 無線通信によって移動端末(100)と通信可能であり、かつ他の無線基地局との間で所定の論理インタフェースを用いた通信コネクションを確立することが可能な複数の無線基地局(51,52,53)と、
前記複数の無線基地局(51,52,53)の情報を格納可能であり、前記複数の無線基地局(51,52,53)と通信可能な通信制御装置(9)とを備え、
前記通信制御装置(9)は、他の前記無線基地局と前記通信コネクションを新たに確立すべき前記無線基地局である対象基地局を認識した場合には、前記対象基地局との前記通信コネクションを確立するためのコネクション確立処理を行わせる指示を示すコネクション確立指示を前記対象基地局以外の複数の前記無線基地局に通知し、
前記無線基地局は、前記通信制御装置(9)から前記コネクション確立指示が通知されて前記コネクション確立処理を行った後、前記対象基地局との前記通信コネクションの確立状態を維持すべきか否かを判定し、維持すべきでないと判定した場合には、前記通信コネクションを切断する、通信システム。 - 前記対象基地局は、固定通信網(3)を介して移動体通信網(2)に接続されており、
前記通信制御装置(9)は、前記対象基地局以外のすべての前記無線基地局に前記コネクション確立指示を通知する、請求の範囲第11項に記載の通信システム。 - 前記対象基地局は、固定通信網(3)を介して移動体通信網(2)に接続されており、
前記通信制御装置(9)は、各前記無線基地局のうち、前記対象基地局の周辺に配置された前記無線基地局に前記コネクション確立指示を通知する、請求の範囲第11項に記載の通信システム。 - 前記無線基地局は、前記通信制御装置(9)から前記コネクション確立指示が通知されて前記コネクション確立処理を行った後、前記対象基地局との間で確立された前記所定の論理インタフェースが所定期間用いられていない場合には、前記通信コネクションの確立状態を維持すべきでないと判定する、請求の範囲第11項から第13項のいずれか1つに記載の通信システム。
- 無線通信によって移動端末(100)と通信可能であり、かつ他の無線基地局との間で所定の論理インタフェースを用いた通信コネクションを確立することが可能な複数の無線基地局(51,52,53)と、
前記複数の無線基地局(51,52,53)の情報を格納可能であり、前記複数の無線基地局(51,52,53)と通信可能な通信制御装置(9)とを備え、
前記通信制御装置(9)は、他の前記無線基地局と前記通信コネクションを新たに確立すべき前記無線基地局である対象基地局を認識した場合には、各前記無線基地局のうち、前記対象基地局の周辺に配置された前記無線基地局へ、前記対象基地局との前記通信コネクションを確立するためのコネクション確立処理を行わせる指示を示すコネクション確立指示を通知する、通信システム。 - 前記通信制御装置(9)は、前記対象基地局を含む複数の前記無線基地局(51,52,53)の設置場所を示す情報に基づいて、各前記無線基地局の中から、前記コネクション確立指示を通知すべき前記無線基地局を選択する、請求の範囲第13項または第15項に記載の通信システム。
- 移動端末(100)が前記無線基地局間で移動動作を行うための情報、前記無線基地局が受けている干渉を示す情報、および前記無線基地局の負荷情報のうちの少なくともいずれか1つが、前記所定の論理インタフェースを介して前記無線基地局間で送受信される、請求の範囲第1項から第7および第10項から第16項のいずれか1つに記載の通信システム。
- 他の無線基地局との間で所定の論理インタフェースを用いた通信コネクションを確立することが可能な複数の無線基地局(51,52,53)の情報を格納可能であり、前記複数の無線基地局(51,52,53)と通信可能な通信制御装置(9)であって、
他の前記無線基地局と前記通信コネクションを新たに確立すべき前記無線基地局である対象基地局を認識した場合には、前記対象基地局との前記通信コネクションを確立するためのコネクション確立処理を行わせる指示を示すコネクション確立指示を前記対象基地局以外の複数の前記無線基地局に通知し、
前記無線基地局が前記コネクション確立指示を受けて前記コネクション確立処理を行った後、前記無線基地局と前記対象基地局との前記通信コネクションの確立状態を維持すべきか否かが判定され、維持すべきでないと判定された場合には、前記通信コネクションを切断する制御を行う、通信制御装置。 - 無線通信によって移動端末(100)と通信可能であり、かつ他の無線基地局との間で所定の論理インタフェースを用いた通信コネクションを確立することが可能な複数の無線基地局(51,52,53)と、前記複数の無線基地局(51,52,53)の情報を格納可能であり、前記複数の無線基地局(51,52,53)と通信可能な通信制御装置(9)とを備える通信システム(1)における通信方法であって、
前記通信制御装置(9)が、他の前記無線基地局と前記通信コネクションを新たに確立すべき前記無線基地局である対象基地局を認識した場合には、前記対象基地局との前記通信コネクションを確立するためのコネクション確立処理を行わせる指示を示すコネクション確立指示を前記対象基地局以外の複数の前記無線基地局に通知するステップと、
前記無線基地局が、前記通信制御装置(9)から前記コネクション確立指示が通知されて前記コネクション確立処理を行った後、前記対象基地局との前記通信コネクションの確立状態を維持すべきか否かを判定し、維持すべきでないと判定した場合には、前記通信コネクションを切断するステップとを含む、通信方法。
