Abstract
Description
本願は、2009年7月3日に、日本に出願された特願2009-159056号に基づき優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
界面活性剤(A):主鎖の炭素数が1~6の1価の脂肪族炭化水素基の水素原子の1以上がフッ素原子で置換された含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素基を含有し、0.01質量%水溶液としたときの静的表面張力が30mN/m以下であり、かつ分子量が2500未満の界面活性剤。
含フッ素重合体(B):下式(b1)で表される化合物に由来する重合単位と、下式(b2)で表される化合物に由来する重合単位とを含有し、下記条件(i)~(iii)を全て満たす、質量平均分子量が2500以上の含フッ素重合体。

条件(i):重合体100質量%中のフッ素原子の含有量が30質量%以下である。
条件(ii):重合体100質量%中のエチレンオキシド基およびヒドロキシ基の合計含有量が35質量%以上である。
条件(iii):重合体中にエチレンオキシド基以外のアルキレンオキシド基が存在する場合、重合体に含有される全エチレンオキシド基の質量割合がエチレンオキシド基以外の全アルキレンオキシド基の質量割合よりも大きい。
また、前記界面活性剤(A)は、エチレンオキシド基を含有するノニオン性界面活性剤であることが好ましい。
また、前記界面活性剤(A)として、下式(A1)で表される界面活性剤(A1)または下式(A2)で表される界面活性剤(A2)を含有することが好ましい。
また、前記含フッ素重合体(B)がヒドロキシ基を有することが好ましい。
また、前記条件(i)のフッ素原子の含有量が20質量%以下であり、かつ、前記条件(ii)のエチレンオキシド基およびヒドロキシ基の合計含有量が50~70質量%であることが好ましい。
また、本発明のフロアポリッシュ組成物は、本発明の水性樹脂エマルジョンを用いているため環境負荷が低く、また塗布が容易で床に優れた外観を付与できる。
本発明の水性樹脂エマルジョン(以下、「本樹脂エマルジョン」という。)は、後述する界面活性剤(A)、含フッ素重合体(B)(以下、「重合体(B)」という。)、水系媒体(C)および樹脂(D)を含む。
(界面活性剤(A))
界面活性剤(A)は、主鎖の炭素数が1~6の1価の脂肪族炭化水素基の水素原子の1以上がフッ素原子で置換された含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素基(以下、「含フッ素炭化水素基(α)」という。)を含有し、0.01質量%水溶液としたときの静的表面張力が30mN/m以下であり、かつ分子量が2500未満の界面活性剤である。
本発明における含フッ素炭化水素基(α)は、フッ素原子が結合している炭素原子を全て含み、かつ該基に含まれる炭素数が最小になるように決めるものとする。
例えば、「CF2H-CH2-CFH-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-」で表される基の場合、含フッ素炭化水素基(α)が「CF2H-CH2-CHF-」であり、該含フッ素炭化水素基(α)が「-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-」で表される2価の基と連結しているものとする。また、「CF3-CF2-CF2-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-」で表される基の場合、含フッ素炭化水素基(α)が「CF3-CF2-CF2-」であり、該含フッ素炭化水素基(α)が「-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-」で表される2価の基と連結しているものとする。
界面活性剤(A)がノニオン性界面活性剤である場合は、親水基としてエチレンオキシド基(以下、「EO基」という。)を有していることが好ましい。また、優れた親水性が得られやすい点から、分子中にヒドロキシ基(以下、「OH基」という。)を有することが好ましく、分子中に2以上のOH基を有することがより好ましい。
Rfa1は、主鎖の炭素数が1~6のRf基である。Rfa1は、直鎖状であってもよく、分岐鎖状であってもよく、直鎖状が好ましい。Rfa1が分岐鎖状であれば、全炭素数は3~9が好ましい。
Rfa1としては、合成の容易さおよび表面張力低下能力が良好である点から、炭素数4~6の直鎖状のRf基が好ましく、炭素数4または6の直鎖状のRf基がより好ましく、炭素数6の直鎖状のRf基が特に好ましい。
Qa1としては、合成の容易さおよび表面張力低下能力が良好である点から、-(CH2)j1-CH(OH)-(CH2)l1-、または-(CH2)j2-O-(CH2)k-CH(OH)-(CH2)l2-が好ましく、-(CH2)j1-CH(OH)-(CH2)l1-が特に好ましい。j1およびl1は、いずれも1であることが好ましい。また、j2およびl2は、いずれも1であることが好ましい。kは1であることが好ましい。
特に好ましい界面活性剤(A1)は、Ra1~Ra4のうちの1個または2個が水素原子で、残りがCF3-(CF2)5-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-基であり、e~hの合計が10~30の化合物である。
界面活性剤(A1)は、1種を単独で使用してもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本樹脂エマルジョンに含有される界面活性剤(A1)の全体としては、例えば、Ra1~Ra4の平均1個がCF3-(CF2)5-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-基、残りが水素原子であり、e~hの合計が各々1~40である化合物群、Ra1~Ra4の平均2.5個がCF3-(CF2)5-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-基、残りが水素原子であり、e~hの合計が各々1~40である化合物群、Ra1~Ra4の平均3個がCF3-(CF2)5-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-基、残りが水素原子であり、e~hの合計が1~40である化合物群、またはRa1~Ra4の平均1個がCF3-(CF2)5-CH2-O-CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-基、残りが水素原子であり、e~hの合計が各々1~40である化合物群が挙げられる。
界面活性剤(A1)全体としての前記化合物群においては、e~hの合計が平均15~25であることが好ましい。
Rfa2としては、合成の容易さおよび表面張力低下能力が良好である点から、炭素数4~6の直鎖状のRf基が好ましく、炭素数4または6の直鎖状のRf基がより好ましく、炭素数6の直鎖状のRf基が特に好ましい。
Qaaを、炭素数が1~10の直鎖状もしくは分岐状のアルキレン基、または炭素数が2~10のアルケニレン基、6員環芳香族基、4~6員環の飽和もしくは不飽和の脂肪族基、5~6員環の複素環基、または、それらが複数組み合わされ、もしくは縮合された基とする。
中でも、合成の容易さおよび表面張力低下能力が良好である点から、炭素数が1~10の直鎖状もしくは分岐状のアルキレン基または炭素数が2~10のアルケニレン基であることが好ましい。
また、Qabを、-O-、-S-、-CO-、-COO-、-SO-、-SO2-、-N(R)-、-N(R)-COO-、-N(R)-CO-、-N(R)-SO-、-N(R)-SO2-(ただし、Rは水素原子または炭素数1~3のアルキル基である。)とする。また、この連結基は、前記した連結基の逆向き(例えば-CO-N(R)-)の基であってもよい。
Qa2の2価の連結基としては、上記QaaとQabの連結基の内少なくとも1つの連結基であり、たとえば、-Qaa-Qab-、-Qab-Qaa-、または、-Qaa-Qab-Qaa-というように交互に組み合わせたものであってもよい。
Qa3の2価の連結基としては、上記Qaaのみか、QaaにQabを連結した-Qaa-Qab-、さらにそれらを組み合わせた-Qaa-Qab-Qaa-、または、-Qaa-Qab-Qaa-Qab-などであってもよい。
これら2価の連結基は、上記のように2種以上が組み合わされていてもよく、複数の環基が縮合している連結基であってもよい。また、2価の連結基はフッ素原子以外の置換基を有していてもよい。置換基としては、OH基が好ましい。
Ra5としては、合成の容易さおよび表面張力低下能力が良好である点から、水素原子、メチル基または炭素数4~6の直鎖状のRf基が好ましく、水素原子または炭素数4~6の直鎖状のRf基がより好ましく、水素原子が特に好ましい。
iは、1~45の整数であり、1~30が好ましく、1~20がより好ましい。
界面活性剤(A21):CF3-(CF2)5-CH2CH(OH)CH2-O-(C2H4O)i-H
界面活性剤(A22):CF3-(CF2)5-C2H4-O-(C2H4O)i-H
界面活性剤(A23):CF3-(CF2)5-CH2CH(OH)CH2-O-(C2H4O)i-CH3
界面活性剤(A21)~(A23)におけるiは1~45の整数であり、1~20であることが好ましい。また、界面活性剤(A21)については、iが4、6、9、13の化合物が特に好ましい。
界面活性剤(A2)としては、合成の容易さや表面張力低下能力が良好であることから、Qa2がOH基を有する炭素数1~5の直鎖状のアルキレン基であり、Qa3が単結合であり、Ra5が水素原子である化合物が好ましく、界面活性剤(A21)、界面活性剤(A22)がより好ましい。
本樹脂エマルジョンに含有される界面活性剤(A2)の全体としては、iが平均1~20であることが好ましい。また、界面活性剤(A21)の全体としては、iの平均が4、6、9、13のいずれかであることが特に好ましい。
本発明における静的表面張力とは、25℃で測定した値を意味する。
界面活性剤(A)の前記静的表面張力は、パーフルオロアルキル基の炭素数を増やすことにより、小さくなる傾向がある。
本発明の界面活性剤(A)の分子量は構造から求められる。例えば、「CF3-(CF2)5-CH2CH(OH)CH2-S-C2H4-COO-NH4 +」で表される化合物の場合は、C12H8O3SF13・NH4として計算できる。
また、前記界面活性剤(A1)の場合は、「原料となるポリエチレングリコールジグリセリルエーテルの分子量」と、「付加したRf基含有化合物の分子量に平均付加モル数を乗じた値」との合計である。同様に、前記界面活性剤(A2)の場合も、「原料となるポリエチレングリコールの分子量」と、「付加したRf基含有化合物の分子量に平均付加モル数を乗じた値」との合計である。

ただし、式(1)中、MA(F)は界面活性剤(A)中のフッ素原子の含有量、V1は界面活性剤(A)中のフッ素原子の原子量の合計、W1は界面活性剤(A)の分子量である。
重合体(B)は、下式(b1)で表される重合性化合物(以下、「化合物(b1)」という。)に由来する重合単位(以下、「重合単位(β1)」という。)と、下式(b2)で表される重合性化合物(以下、「化合物(b2)」という。)に由来する重合単位(以下、「重合単位(β2)」という。)とを含有し、後述する条件(i)~(iii)を満たす質量平均分子量2500以上の含フッ素重合体である。

Rfb1としては、合成の容易さおよび表面張力低下能力が良好であり、また皮膜への表面配向性の付与および親水性の発現が容易である点から、炭素数4~6の直鎖状のRf基が好ましく、炭素数4または6の直鎖状のRf基がより好ましく、炭素数6の直鎖状のRf基が特に好ましい。
Rb1は、水素原子またはメチル基である。
なお、Qbbは、-O-、-S-、-N(R)-、-N(R)-COO-、-N(R)-CO-、-N(R)-SO-、-N(R)-SO2-(ただし、Rは水素原子または炭素数1~3のアルキル基である。)である。
なお、Qb1としては、-O-(CH2)o-、または-NRb4-(CH2)p-で表される基が好ましく、-O-(CH2)o-が特に好ましい。ただし、oおよびpは相互に独立して1~3の整数であり、Rb4は水素原子またはメチル基である。

化合物(b1)は、1種を単独で使用してもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
Rb3は、水素原子または炭素数1~3のアルキル基である。Rb3としては、水溶性が良好である点から、水素原子またはメチル基が好ましく、水素原子が特に好ましい。
Qb3としては、-(C2H4O)q-、-(C2H4O)r-(C3H6O)s-、-(C2H4O)t-(C3H6O)u-(C2H4O)vが好ましい。ただし、qは1~100の整数である。また、rは1~100の整数であり、sは1~75の整数であり、r/s≧1.32である。また、tは1~99の整数であり、uは1~75の整数であり、vは1~99の整数であり、(t+v)/u≧1.32である。r/s≧1.32、(t+v)/u≧1.32を満たせば、Qb3中のEO基の質量割合がPO基の質量割合よりも大きくなる。
Qb3としては、-(C2H4O)q-が好ましい。qは、1~30が好ましく、1~10がより好ましい。
Qb3は、1以上のエチレンオキシド基が連結した2価の基であるか、または1以上のエチレンオキシド基と1以上のプロピレンオキシド基が連結した2価の基であり、Qb1およびQb2は、相互に独立して単結合、または、エチレンオキシド基とプロピレンオキシド基以外でフッ素原子を有さない2価の連結基であることが好ましい。

化合物(b3)としては、例えば、以下の化合物(b31)~(b35)が挙げられる。
化合物(b31):アルキル(メタ)アクリレート。
化合物(b32):アルキルジ(メタ)アクリレート。
化合物(b33):化合物(b2)以外のポリアルキレングリコール(メタ)アクリレート。
化合物(b34):ポリアルキレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート。
化合物(b35):その他の重合性化合物。

化合物(b3)は、1種を単独で使用してもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
また、重合体(B)は、以下に示す条件(i)~(iii)を満たす。重合体(B)が2種以上である場合、その各々の重合体(B)がそれぞれ条件(i)~(iii)を満たす。
条件(i):重合体(B)100質量%中のフッ素原子の含有量が30質量%以下である。
重合体(B)中のフッ素原子の含有量が30質量%以下であれば、優れた親水性が得られる。また、親水性の発現がさらに容易になる点から、重合体(B)中のフッ素原子の含有量は、20質量%以下であることが好ましい。なお、重合体(B)の親水性が良好であると、水性樹脂エマルジョンの基材への塗布が容易になるため好ましい。また、重合体(B)中の前記フッ素原子の含有量は、レベリング性が向上する点から、1質量%以上であることが好ましく、5質量%以上であることがより好ましい。

ただし、式(2)中、MB(F)は重合体(B)中のフッ素原子の含有量、V2は化合物(b1)中のフッ素原子の原子量の合計、W2は化合物(b1)の分子量、X2は化合物(b1)の仕込み量(質量部)、Y2は化合物(b1)~(b3)の仕込み量(質量部)の合計、Z2は重合量調整剤の仕込み量(質量部)である。前記仕込み量(質量部)は、重合時の各重合性化合物の仕込み量の相対値である(以下、同じ。)。
重合体(B)は、OH基を有することが好ましい。重合体(B)がOH基を有していれば、重合体(B)の水溶性が向上する。
なお、式(b2)において、Rb3が水素原子である場合、「-Qb3-Rb3」は、「-(C2H4O)q-H」等の構造になる。この場合、末端はOH構造となるため、式(b2)はOH基を有する構造である。
同様に、含有量MB(EO+OH)は、35質量%以上であり、50~70質量%であることが好ましい。

ただし、式(3)中、V3はEO基含有重合性化合物中の全EO基における原子量の合計、W3はEO基含有重合性化合物の分子量、X3はEO基含有重合性化合物の仕込み量(質量部)、Y3は全重合性化合物の仕込み量(質量部)の合計、Z3は重合量調整剤の仕込み量(質量部)である。
前記EO基含有重合性化合物とは、OH基を含有せず、かつEO基を含有する重合性化合物である。例えば、化合物(b2)のRb3が炭素数1~3のアルキル基である化合物、化合物(b3)においてEO基を含有する前記化合物等が挙げられる。
また、式(3)は、EO基含有重合性化合物が1種の場合の計算式であり、EO基含有重合性化合物が2種以上含有されている場合は、それら各々について式(3)により算出した値を合計すればよい。

ただし、式(4)中、V4はEO基OH基含有化合物中の全EO基およびOH基における原子量の合計、W4はEO基OH基含有化合物の分子量、X4はEO基OH基含有化合物の仕込み量(質量部)、Y3は全重合性化合物の仕込み量(質量部)の合計、Z3は重合量調整剤の仕込み量(質量部)である。
前記EO基OH基含有化合物とは、OH基を含有せず、かつEO基を含有する重合性化合物、EO基を含有せず、かつOH基を含有する重合性化合物、EO基とOH基を併有する重合性化合物、またはOH基を含有する重合量調整剤である。
また、式(4)は、EO基OH基含有化合物が1種の場合の計算式であり、EO基OH基含有化合物が2種以上含有されている場合は、それら各々について式(4)により算出した値を合計すればよい。
つまり、EO基やOH基を持つ構造が「-(C2H4O)q-H」だけの場合は、「(C2H4O)の原子量にqを乗じた値」と、「末端の水素原子の原子量」とを足したものが、V4となる。
重合体(B)が、他の重合性化合物として、前記化合物(b33)で3番目に例示した化合物を共重合させた場合も同様である。」
EO基以外のアルキレンオキシド基としてはプロピレンオキシド基(以下、「PO基」という。)が好ましい。
全EO基の質量割合をEO基以外の全アルキレンオキシド基の質量割合よりも大きくすることにより、充分な親水性を有する重合体(B)が得られる。
以下、EO基以外のアルキレンオキシド基としてPO基を例に挙げて説明する。
化合物(b2)は、化合物(b2)中においてEO基の質量割合がPO基の質量割合よりも大きい。そのため、重合体(B)が、化合物(b1)と、EO基およびPO基を併有している化合物(b2)を共重合体した重合体であれば、重合体(B)全体におけるEO基の質量割合がPO基の質量割合よりも大きくなる。また、重合体(B)が、化合物(b1)および化合物(b2)に加えて、PO基、またはPO基およびEO基を有する化合物(b3)を共重合した重合体であれば、化合物(b2)と化合物(b3)が有する全てのPO基とEO基を考慮して、重合体(B)全体におけるEO基の質量割合がPO基の質量割合よりも大きくなるようにする。
重合体(B)における各重合単位の含有量(質量比率)とは、重合に使用した原料がすべて重合単位を構成するとみなし、各重合性化合物の質量割合から算出される値である。例えば、重合体(B)における重合単位(β2)の含有量(全重合単位に対する重合単位(β2)の質量の百分率)は、重合に使用した全原料の合計質量に対する化合物(b2)の質量割合として算出される。
重合単位(β2)の含有量は50~95質量%が好ましく、70~90質量%がより好ましい。重合単位(β2)の含有量が50質量%以上であれば、親水性が向上する。重合単位(β2)の含有量が95質量%以下であれば、レベリング性が向上する。
本発明におけるMwとは、GPC(ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー、カラム充填剤:スチレンジビニルベンゼン共重合体、移動相:テトラヒドロフラン)により測定されるポリメチルメタクリレート(標準物質)換算分子量である。
重合開始源としては、重合反応をラジカル的に進行させるものであれば特に限定されず、例えば、過酸化物、アゾ化合物、過硫酸塩等の重合開始剤、光、電離放射線が挙げられ、重合開始剤が好ましい。
また、重合には、重合体(B)の分子量を調整する重合量調整剤を用いることが好ましい。重合量調整剤としては、例えば、メルカプトエタノール、オクタンチオール等が挙げられる。
本樹脂エマルジョン中の重合体(B)の含有量は、0.003~0.05質量%が好ましく、0.005~0.05質量%が特に好ましい。重合物(B)の含有量が0.003質量%以上あれば、レベリング性を発現しやすい。重合物(B)の含有量が0.05質量%以下であれば、他の構成成分の発現する機能に悪影響を与えにくい。
グリコール系溶媒としては、下記溶媒(c1)~(c4)が挙げられる。
溶媒(c1):OH基を有するグリコール溶媒。
溶媒(c2):モノアルキルグリコールエーテル系溶媒。
溶媒(c3):ジアルキルグリコールエーテル系溶媒。
溶媒(c4):モノアルキルグリコールエーテルアセテート系溶媒。
溶媒(c2)としては、例えば、メチルグリコール、メチルジグリコール、メチルトリグリコール、イソプロピルグリコール、ブチルグリコール、ブチルジグリコール、ヘキシルグリコール、ヘキシルジグリコール、メチルプロピレングリコール、ジエチレングリコールモノエチルエーテル、トリエチレングリコールモノエチルエーテル、ジエチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル、プロピレングリコールモノエチルエーテル、ジプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、ジプロピレングリコールモノエチルエーテルが挙げられる。
溶媒(c3)としては、例えば、ジメチルグリコール、ジメチルジグリコール、メチルエチルジグリコール、ジエチルグリコール、ジエチレングリコールジエチルエーテル、ジプロピレングリコールジメチルエーテルが挙げられる。
溶媒(c4)としては、例えば、エチレングリコールモノエチルエーテルアセテート、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテート、ジエチレングリコールモノブチルエーテルアセテート、ジエチレングリコールモノエチルエーテルアセテートが挙げられる。
水系媒体(C)は、1種を単独で使用してもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
また、樹脂(D)として市販の水性樹脂エマルジョンを用い、界面活性剤(A)、重合体(B)および水系媒体(C)を添加して本樹脂エマルジョンとしてもよい。
市販の樹脂エマルジョンとしては、例えば、デュラプラス2、プライマルE-2409、プライマルB-924、デュラプラス3L0、プライマルJP-308(いずれもロームアンドハース社製)、AE-610H、AE-945H、AE-981H(いずれもJSR社製)が挙げられる。
アルカリ可溶性樹脂としては、例えば、プライマルB-644、プライマル1531B(いずれもロームアンドハース社製)が挙げられる。
界面活性剤(E)の構造は特に限定されず、アニオン性またはノニオン性の界面活性剤が好ましく、浸透性、湿潤性に優れるものが特に好ましい。例えば、EO基数が5以下のポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル硫酸ナトリウム、ジアルキルスルホコハク酸ナトリウム、HLB値が8~15のポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテルが挙げられる。
本樹脂エマルジョンの製造方法は、界面活性剤(A)、重合体(B)、水系媒体(C)および樹脂(D)、ならびに必要に応じて界面活性剤(E)等の他の成分を充分に混合できる方法であれば特に限定されない。
界面活性剤(A)、重合体(B)、界面活性剤(E)については、混合する前に予め0.5~10質量%の水溶液とした後に混合することが好ましい。
また、本樹脂エマルジョンは、必要に応じて、界面活性剤(A)、重合体(B)、水系媒体(C)、樹脂(D)および界面活性剤(E)の他に、他の成分を含有していてもよい。他の成分については、後述するフロアポリッシュ組成物の項で説明する。
本発明のフロアポリッシュ組成物(以下、「本組成物」という。)は、前述の本樹脂エマルジョンを用いた組成物である。
本組成物は、樹脂(D)として、アクリル樹脂、スチレン樹脂、ウレタン樹脂、または、アクリル-スチレン樹脂等の前記樹脂を組み合わせた樹脂が含有されていることが好ましい。また、樹脂(D)として前記樹脂とアルカリ可溶性樹脂が含有され、さらにポリオレフィンワックスが含有されていることがより好ましい。
ポリオレフィンワックスとしては、例えば、ハイテックE-4B、ハイテックE-8000(いずれも東邦化学工業社製)が挙げられる。
以下、アクリル樹脂等とアルカリ可溶性樹脂を含む樹脂(D)およびポリオレフィンワックスを合わせて便宜上「成分(P)」という。
可塑剤としては、例えば、ジブチルフタレート、ジオクチルフタレート、クエン酸トリブチル、アセチルクエン酸トリブチル、2,2,4-トリブチル、1,3-ペンタンジオールモノイソブチレート、2,2,4-トリメチル-1,3-ペンタンジオールジイソブチレート、2,2,4-トリメチル-1,3-ペンタンジオール モノイソブチレートが挙げられる。中でも、フタル酸系以外のものが好ましい。
レベリング助剤としては、例えば、トリブトキシエチルフォスフェートが挙げられる。
防腐剤としては、例えば、ケーソンCG(ロームアンドハース社製)が挙げられる。
消泡剤としては、例えば、FS-アンチフォーム013A、FS-アンチフォーム1277(いずれも東レダウコーニング社製)、SE-21、SE-39(旭化成ワッカーシリコーン社製)が挙げられる。
その他、紫外線吸収剤、色素、香料、殺ダニ剤、pH調整剤等が含有されていてもよい。
[界面活性剤(A)の静的表面張力の測定]
各製造例で得られた界面活性剤(A)の0.01質量%水溶液を調製し、(自動表面張力計CBVP-A3型、協和界面科学社製)により25℃で測定した。
本実施例で用いる重合体(B)、他の重合体(F)のMwは、GPC-101(昭和電工社製)(カラム充填剤:スチレンジビニルベンゼン共重合体、移動相:テトラヒドロフラン、和光純薬工業社製)によるGPC分析により、ポリメチルメタクリレート(標準物質)換算分子量として測定した。
[界面活性剤(A)]
(製造例1:界面活性剤A1-1)
界面活性剤A1-1:式(A1)におけるRa1~Ra4の平均1箇所がCF3-(CF2)5-CH2CH(OH)CH2-基であり、残りが水素原子である化合物。
国際公開第2007/32480号パンフレットに記載の方法に従い、下式(5)で表される化合物(以下、「化合物(5)」という。)3.76g、下式(6)で表される化合物(以下、「化合物(6)」という。)10.67g、および三フッ化ホウ素ジエチルエーテル錯体0.04gを使用して界面活性剤A1-1を得た。
界面活性剤A1-2:式(A1)におけるRa1~Ra4の平均2.5箇所がCF3-(CF2)5-CH2CH(OH)CH2-基であり、残りが水素原子である化合物。
化合物(5)9.45g、化合物(6)10.67g、および三フッ化ホウ素ジエチルエーテル錯体0.09gを使用した以外は、製造例1と同様にして界面活性剤A1-2を得た。
界面活性剤A1-3:式(a1)におけるRa1~Ra4の平均3箇所がCF3-(CF2)5-CH2CH(OH)CH2-基であり、残りが水素原子である化合物。
化合物(5)11.4g、化合物(6)10.67g、および三フッ化ホウ素ジエチルエーテル錯体0.11gを使用した以外は、製造例1と同様にして界面活性剤A1-3を得た。
界面活性剤A2-1:CF3-(CF2)5-CH2CH(OH)CH2-O-(C2H4O)4-H
PEG-200(商品名、ポリエチレングリコール、分子量199、日油社製)10.0g、三フッ化ホウ素ジエチルエーテル錯体0.19gを50mL三口フラスコに投入し、60℃まで加熱して保持し、化合物(5)18.8gを2時間かけて滴下した。その後、60℃で1時間熟成させた後、ガスクロマトグラフにて化合物(5)の消失を確認した。その後、60℃、667Paで副生物を留去することにより界面活性剤A2-1を得た。
界面活性剤A2-2:CF3-(CF2)5-CH2CH(OH)CH2-O-(C2H4O)13-H
PEG-200の代わりにPEG-600(商品名、ポリエチレングリコール、分子量587、日油社製)14.68g、三フッ化ホウ素ジエチルエーテル錯体0.10g、化合物(5)10.0gを使用した以外は、製造例4と同様にして界面活性剤A2-2を得た。
界面活性剤A2-3:CF3-(CF2)5-CH2CH(OH)CH2-O-(C2H4O)22-H
PEG-200の代わりにPEG-1000(商品名、ポリエチレングリコール、分子量1020、日油社製)27.13g、三フッ化ホウ素ジエチルエーテル錯体0.10g、化合物(5)10.0gを使用した以外は、製造例4と同様にして界面活性剤A2-3を得た。
界面活性剤A3-1:CF3-(CF2)5-CH2CH(OH)CH2-S-C2H4-COO-NH4 +
メルカプトプロピオン酸4.83g、イソプロピルアルコール9.66g、水4.83g、25%アンモニア水3.93gを100mL四つ口フラスコに投入し、60℃まで加熱した。そこに化合物(5)19.1gを1時間かけて加えた後、7時間熟成させ、界面活性剤A3-1の溶液を得た。
界面活性剤A1-1~A3-1のフッ素原子含有量(F含有量)、静的表面張力、分子量を表1に示す。
表2に記載の仕込み量で原料を100mL耐圧瓶に投入し、70℃で16時間反応させることで重合させて重合体B1~B6を得た。
表2に記載の仕込み量で原料を100mL耐圧瓶に投入し、70℃で16時間反応させることで重合させて重合体F1~F4を得た。ただし、重合体F2およびF3については、重合後に70℃、667Paの条件で溶媒を留去し、白色の粉末を得た。また、重合体F2およびF3については測定溶媒に溶解しなかったため、Mwは測定しなかった。
重合体B1~B6および重合体F1~F4のEO基の含有量、プロピレンオキシドの含有量、フッ素原子の含有量を表2に示す。ただし、表2中、「EO含有量」はEO基の含有量、「PO含有量」はプロピレンオキシド基の含有量、「F含有量」はフッ素原子の含有量を意味する。また、表2中の各原料の仕込み量の単位は「質量部」である。

[実施例1~18]
表3および表4に示す組成で各成分を混合してフロアポリッシュ組成物を調製した。ただし、界面活性剤A1-1~A3-1、界面活性剤E1、E2および重合体B1~B6については、それぞれ濃度1質量%の水溶液を調製した後、表3および表4に示す量を満たすように混合した。
表5に示す組成に変更した以外は、実施例1~18と同様にしてフロアポリッシュ組成物を調製した。ただし、重合体F1、F4については、それぞれ濃度1質量%の水溶液を調製した後、表5に示す量を満たすように混合した。また、重合体F2および重合体F3については、それぞれカルボキシ基の量の1.05倍モルの25質量%アンモニア水を加え、濃度1質量%の水溶液を調製した後、表5に示す量を満たすように混合した。
表5に示す組成に変更した以外は、実施例1~18と同様にしてフロアポリッシュ組成物を調製した。
実施例、比較例および参考例における各成分の組成、得られたフロアポリッシュ組成物の評価結果を表3~5に示す。ただし、表3~5中、「F含有量」はフッ素原子の含有量を意味し、各原料の仕込み量の単位は「質量部」である。
[レベリング性の評価]
JIS K-3920に準じてレベリング性試験を行った。なお、塗布用具は絵筆を使用し、床タイルにはホモジニアスビニル床タイル(商品名「MS-5608」、東リ社製)を使用した。また、試験は5℃、湿度60%の条件下で行った。性能評価は下記基準で行った。なお、レベリング性が良好であるフロアポリッシュ組成物は、平滑性が良好で、塗布した床タイルが優れた外観を有する。
◎:塗りスジおよびムラが全く見られなかった。
○:塗りスジおよびムラのどちらかもしくは両方がわずかに確認された。
△:塗りスジおよびムラのどちらかもしくは両方がはっきりと確認された。
×:ブランクと比べて外観に有意な差が見られるが、著しい塗りスジおよびムラが確認された。
××:外観がブランクと同等であった。
なお、「ブランク」とは、界面活性剤(A)および重合体(B)を共に含まない組成の参考例を意味する。参考例1は、樹脂D1および樹脂D3を含む実施例1~9および比較例1~6との比較対象のブランクである。参考例2は、樹脂D1および樹脂D2を含む実施例10~18および比較例7~10との比較対象のブランクである。
参考例1および参考例2の樹脂エマルジョンでは、乾燥後に著しい塗りムラが残り、塗膜の凹凸および濡れていない部分が目視ではっきりと確認できる状態であった。
また、アニオン性界面活性剤である界面活性剤A3-1と、ノニオン性界面活性剤である界面活性剤A1-2、A1-3を同等の条件で用いた実施例2と実施例5および6の比較から、界面活性剤(A)としてノニオン性界面活性剤を用いることで、より優れたレベリング性が得られることがわかった。
また、実施例10および12と実施例11の比較から、フッ素原子の含有量が5質量%以上の重合体(B)を用いることで、より優れたレベリング性が得られることがわかった。
また、実施例10および12と実施例15の比較から、EO含有量が50~70質量%の重合体(B)を用いることで、より優れたレベリング性が得られることがわかった。
また、実施例10および12と実施例13の比較から、フッ素原子の含有量が20質量%以下で、かつEO含有量が50~70質量%の重合体(B)を用いることで、より優れたレベリング性が得られることがわかった。
また、PO基の質量割合がEO基の質量割合よりも大きい以外は重合体(B)とほぼ同等である重合体F1を用いた比較例3でも、実施例に比べてレベリング性が劣っており、得られる床タイルの外観が劣っていた。
また、重合体(B)の代わりに、化合物(b1)と化合物(b2)のいずれか一方を欠く他の重合体(F)を用いた比較例4~6でも、実施例に比べてレベリング性が劣っており、得られる床タイルの外観が劣っていた。
また、界面活性剤(A)と重合体(B)を共に欠く比較例7では、参考例2と同等のレベリング性であり、実施例に比べてレベリング性が著しく劣っており、得られる床タイルの外観が劣っていた。
また、界面活性剤(A)を欠く比較例8~10についても、実施例に比べてレベリング性が著しく劣っており、得られる床タイルの外観が劣っていた。
また、本発明のフロアポリッシュ組成物は、本発明の水性樹脂エマルジョンを用いているため環境負荷が低く、また塗布が容易で床に優れた外観を付与できる。
Claims (9)
- 下記界面活性剤(A)、下記含フッ素重合体(B)、水系媒体(C)および樹脂(D)を含有する水性樹脂エマルジョン。
界面活性剤(A):主鎖の炭素数が1~6の1価の脂肪族炭化水素基の水素原子の1以上がフッ素原子で置換された含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素基を含有し、0.01質量%水溶液としたときの静的表面張力が30mN/m以下であり、かつ分子量が2500未満の界面活性剤。
含フッ素重合体(B):下式(b1)で表される化合物に由来する重合単位と、下式(b2)で表される化合物に由来する重合単位とを含有し、下記条件(i)~(iii)を全て満たす、質量平均分子量が2500以上の含フッ素重合体。
CH2=CRb1-CO-Qb1-Rfb1 (b1)
CH2=CRb2-COO-Qb2-Qb3-Rb3 (b2)
(ただし、式中、Rfb1は主鎖の炭素数が1~6のパーフルオロアルキル基であり、Rb1およびRb2は相互に独立して水素原子またはメチル基であり、Rb3は水素原子または炭素数1~3のアルキル基である。Qb1およびQb2は相互に独立して単結合、またはフッ素原子を有さない2価の連結基である。ただし、Qb1およびQb2は、Qb3に含まれるアルキレンオキシド基を含まない。Qb3は、1以上のエチレンオキシド基、または1以上のエチレンオキシド基と1以上のエチレンオキシド基以外のアルキレンオキシド基からなる2価の基であり、Qb3中における前記エチレンオキシド基の質量割合が、前記エチレンオキシド基以外のアルキレンオキシド基の合計の質量割合よりも大きい。)
条件(i):重合体100質量%中のフッ素原子の含有量が30質量%以下である。
条件(ii):重合体100質量%中のエチレンオキシド基およびヒドロキシ基の合計含有量が35質量%以上である。
条件(iii):重合体中にエチレンオキシド基以外のアルキレンオキシド基が存在する場合、重合体に含有される全エチレンオキシド基の質量割合がエチレンオキシド基以外の全アルキレンオキシド基の質量割合よりも大きい。 - 前記Qb1およびQb2が、相互に独立して単結合、またはエチレンオキシド基とプロピレンオキシド基以外でフッ素原子を有さない2価の連結基であって、前記Qb3及び条件(iii)のエチレンオキシド基以外のアルキレンオキシド基がプロピレンオキシド基である請求項1に記載の水溶性エマルジョン。
- 前記界面活性剤(A)および前記含フッ素重合体(B)の合計含有量が0.1質量%以下であり、さらに炭化水素系界面活性剤(E)を含有する請求項1又は2に記載の水性樹脂エマルジョン。
- 前記界面活性剤(A)がエチレンオキシド基を含有するノニオン性界面活性剤である請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の水性樹脂エマルジョン。
- 前記界面活性剤(A)として、下式(A1)で表される界面活性剤(A1)または下式(A2)で表される界面活性剤(A2)を含有する請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の水性樹脂エマルジョン。
- 前記界面活性剤(A)がヒドロキシ基を有する請求項1~5のいずれかに記載の水性樹脂エマルジョン。
- 前記含フッ素重合体(B)がヒドロキシ基を有する請求項1~6のいずれかに記載の水性樹脂エマルジョン。
- 前記条件(i)のフッ素原子の含有量が20質量%以下であり、かつ、前記条件(ii)のエチレンオキシド基およびヒドロキシ基の合計含有量が50~70質量%である請求項1~7のいずれかに記載の水性樹脂エマルジョン。
- 請求項1~8のいずれかに記載の水性樹脂エマルジョンを用いたフロアポリッシュ組成物。
