And since the terminal 26 of this electric wire 20 with a terminal is inserted in the cavities 12 and 14, the terminal 26 is hard to be caught in the opening of the cavities 12 and 14, and the terminal 26 can be smoothly inserted into the cavities 12 and 14. The failure when inserting the terminal 26 into the cavities 12 and 14 can be suppressed as much as possible.
- the insertion guide surface 77 is formed in a hole shape and guides the terminal 26 so that the terminal 26 is positioned on the opening side extension in the cavities 12, 14. , 14 can be inserted.
- the terminal-attached electric wire 20 can be manually set on the pair of gripping portions 86 and 87 and the terminal insertion guide portion 76. Thereby, during the operation
- the setting operation of the terminal-attached electric wire 20 can be performed immediately. This makes it possible to speed up the terminal insertion work.
- the pair of split guide portions 78 are opened during the insertion operation of the terminal 26, the guide and restriction state by the insertion guide surface 77 is released, so that the terminal 26 can be inserted into the cavities 12 and 14 more smoothly. it can.
- the shape of the insertion guide surface 77 is not limited to the above example.
- the shape may be such that a stepped portion facing the opposite side of the cavities 12 and 14 is formed at the bottom in the extending direction of the round hole or the square hole.
- any shape that allows the insertion of the distal end portion of the terminal and allows contact with the protruding portion of the intermediate portion in the longitudinal direction or the proximal end portion of the terminal to restrict the movement toward the distal end side may be used.
- the insertion guide surface 77 of the terminal insertion guide portion 76 has been described as having a divided structure, but it is not necessarily required to be divided.
- the insertion guide surface may be a concave groove-shaped inner peripheral surface formed so as to open to one side.
- the configuration in which the terminal insertion housing 10 and the pair of gripping portions 86 and 87 and the terminal insertion guide portion 76 are relatively moved is not limited to the above example.
- the terminal insertion housing 10 and any one of the pair of gripping portions 86 and 87 and the terminal insertion guide portion 76 may be configured to move in the vertical direction and the horizontal direction.
- terminal insertion device has been described in detail as described above, the above description is an example in all aspects, and the present invention is not limited thereto. It is understood that countless variations that are not illustrated can be envisaged without departing from the scope of the present invention.
