Abstract

 試料分注のタイミングを揃えて、装置構成を単純化しつつ複数項目の検査を効率的に行うことができる自動分析装置を提供する。中間ディスク(ディスク)は、前処理のための動作を行うAサイクルと、試料を検査機構としての反応ディスクおよびフロー系分析機構に分注するための動作を行うBサイクルとを組み合わせて、試料の分注動作サイクル時間としてBサイクルをn個使用するように設定する。つまり、再分注するための動作サイクル時間(複数項目の検査機構への分注動作サイクル時間)を最小動作サイクル時間のn倍(nは整数または整数間の中間値)とする。これにより、分析サイクルが長い項目の検査中に分析サイクルが短い項目の検査を行うことや、依頼数の少ない項目の検査の間に依頼数の多い項目の検査を行うことができるように、効率的にサンプリングのタイミングを揃えることができる。

Description

自動分析装置
 本発明は血液等の成分を自動的に分析する自動分析装置に関し、特に生化学検査、免疫血清検査、血液凝固検査等の複数の項目の検査を行う装置に適用して有効な技術である。
 臨床検査では、遠心分離、溶血、免疫血清検査における抗原抗体反応のB/F分離等の種々の前処理が必要である。これらの前処理は、実際に検査を行う自動分析装置内では行わず、専用の装置で事前に行われることが多い。
 事前に前処理を行う装置としては、検体搬送システムがよく知られている。この検体搬送システムは、前処理部や複数の分析装置をベルトコンベヤで接続し、このベルトコンベヤ上をラックにセットされた検体が目的の前処理部や分析装置に搬送される。しかし、このような臨床検査室で行われる検査を、全て自動化して処理するシステムを導入すると、莫大な費用が必要となり、一般の病院等で行うことはできない。
 免疫血清検査の専用装置では、装置内の前処理機構部分でB/F分離、溶血処理等を実現している。しかし、B/F分離機能を付加した装置は、一般的に機構が複雑となり、装置サイズが大きい、処理能力が低い等の問題点が指摘されている。また、システムで装置間を接続しない場合は、各検査が別々に実施され、装置間の検体移動、装置への検体セット、分析依頼操作、出力結果のまとめ等の複数の業務が交錯し、効率も悪い。
 これらの問題点を改善するために、生化学検査、免疫血清検査、血液凝固検査等の一連の検査を同じ装置内で行えるようにしたものが知られている。例えば特許文献1では、生化学および免疫血清検査を行う第1の検査機構と免疫凝固検査を行う第2の検査機構とから構成された装置が提案されている。また、特許文献2では、コマ送り操作によって多数の反応容器を順次移動させ、往復動操作の際に各試料に応じた測光間隔で光強度を算出する検査方法が提案されている。さらに、近年では、複数の検査機構を備え、かつ前処理機能等を併せ持つ装置が市販されている。
 一方、検体試料の前処理として希釈をする方法では、例えば特許文献3に記載されるように、試料を分注する容器および希釈液を分注する分注機構により構成され、順番に容器を移動させながら、試料および希釈液を分注して行く方法が知られている。
 具体的には、容器を配置したディスクが、1サイクルで1回転+1容器あるいは半回転+1容器の動作をする。そして、1サイクルあるいは数サイクルが経過すると、容器の停止位置が1容器分だけ移動する。このように、順次移動する過程において、容器では、試料の分注、希釈液の分注、攪拌が行われ、試料は容器内部で希釈される。希釈が行われた容器は、試料を再分注する位置に移動する。

 しかしながら、生化学検査、免疫血清検査、血液凝固検査等の複数の分野の分析を1台の装置で単純に組み合わせた場合は、各分析の関係は複雑になる。また、特許文献1および2の提案は、いずれも前処理等を別装置で行うものであり、前処理を含めた装置構成を単純化することはできない。さらに、上述の近年市販された前処理機能等を併せ持つ装置でも、免疫、生化学等の全ての検査項目で各々試薬分注機構を備える等して、装置機構の数が多く複雑な構成となっている。
 装置構成が複雑になると操作も必然的に複雑になるため、装置の単純化を図るには機構や操作の一部を共通化する必要がある。操作の中でもサンプリング(試料分注)は、いずれの検査項目でも行うため、そのタイミングを揃えることが望ましい。特に、サンプリングの処理能力が低いと、複数の検査機構を組み合わせた場合に混雑しやすくなって装置全体の処理能力が低下するため、サンプリングの処理能力を向上させることは重要である。
 サンプリングのタイミングを複数の分析工程を妨げることなく制御するためには、例えば、特許文献3の希釈方法に基づいて説明すると、以下の(1)~(3)の課題がある。
 (1)処理能力の低下
 1試料当たり複数項目の検査のための分注を行うと、ディスクは再分注の間、一定の位置で停止してサンプリングを繰り返すので、その間に新規の試料の希釈や容器の洗浄ができず、装置の処理能力が低下する。
 また、その後の分析工程において試薬分注機構が備える試薬プローブのキャリーオーバーが発生した場合に、試薬プローブの動作後に洗浄のための動作を追加する必要がある。さらには、複数項目の検査が行われることに伴い、試薬分注機構の動作タイミングが重なる場合がある。これらの場合にも装置の処理能力が低下する。
 (2)処理時間の制御が複雑で困難
 試料の前処理には、処理時間に制限がない項目と、一定にすることが必要な項目とがある。例えば、酵素、タンパク質等の検査項目では、単なる希釈のため、試料を一定倍率で希釈さえすればよい。これに対し、例えば、血液中の血球成分であるHbA1cの測定等では、赤血球成分試料を分取した後に一定量の希釈液を注入して溶血するために、一定時間放置あるいは一定温度で加温する必要がある。
 そのため、再サンプリング(再分注)で複数のサンプリングをする場合、上述の希釈方法では一定時間放置等することができない。
 (3)各検査項目で分析原理や分析サイクルが異なる
 各検査項目で分析原理が異なるので反応時間も異なる。例えば、生化学や血液凝固検査では、反応中に一定間隔で複数回測定するのに対し、免疫血清検査では、一定時間経過後の測定のみで、反応途中の測定はない。また、分析サイクルが異なるため、複数の検査を1台の装置で行うには制御が複雑となり、効率的な処理ができない。
 (1)~(3)の課題より、装置全体の動作、前処理および各検査の反応時間等の複数条件を考慮して、分析サイクルを決定する必要がある。
 ここで、本発明者の検討により、各検査項目の依頼数を数えると、生化学検査5に対して、その他の検査が1程度と生化学検査が多く、生化学検査の分析工程では、9割の項目で2種類の試薬を使用しており、かつ前処理を行う項目は少ないことが明らかになっている。
 したがって、分析サイクルが長い項目の検査中に分析サイクルが短い項目の検査を行うことや、依頼数の少ない項目の検査の間に依頼数の多い項目の検査を行うことができるように、効率的にサンプリングのタイミングを揃えることが望まれていた。
 本発明の目的は、試料分注のタイミングを揃えて、装置構成を単純化しつつ複数項目の検査を効率的に行うことができる自動分析装置を提供することにある。
 本発明の前記ならびにその他の目的と新規な特徴は、本明細書の記述および添付図面から明らかになるであろう。
 本願において開示される発明のうち、代表的なものの概要を簡単に説明すれば、次のとおりである。
 すなわち、本発明の自動分析装置は、試料容器内から分注された試料の前処理液による前処理または前記試料と試薬との反応を行う中間容器が配置されるディスクと、前記試料容器内または前記中間容器内から分注された前記試料の複数項目の検査機構とを有する自動分析装置であって、前記試料容器内または前記中間容器内から前記複数項目の検査機構への前記試料の分注動作サイクル時間が、各検査項目の最小動作サイクル時間のn倍(nは整数または整数間の中間値)である。
 本願において開示される発明のうち、代表的なものによって得られる効果を簡単に説明すれば以下のとおりである。
 すなわち、本発明の自動分析装置は、試料容器内または中間容器内から複数項目の検査機構への試料の分注動作サイクル時間を、各検査項目の最小動作サイクル時間のn倍(nは整数または整数間の中間値)にしたので、装置全体の動作や各検査の反応時間等の複数条件を考慮して試料分注のタイミングを揃えることができる。つまり、分析サイクルが長い項目の検査中に分析サイクルが短い項目の検査を行うことや、依頼数の少ない項目の検査の間に依頼数の多い項目の検査を行うことができるように、効率的に試料分注のタイミングを揃えられる。これにより、試料分注のタイミングを揃えて、装置構成を単純化しつつ複数項目の検査を効率的に行うことができる。

 以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて詳細に説明する。なお、本実施の形態を説明するための全図において同一機能を有するものは原則として同一の符号を付すようにし、その繰り返しの説明は可能な限り省略するようにしている。
 図1は本発明の自動分析装置の一実施の形態の概略を示す概略平面図であり、図2は図1の自動分析装置における試料、前処理液、試薬等の流れを示す図である。図3(a)~(c)、図4(a)~(c)および図5(a)~(c)は、この順に図1の自動分析装置における動作の流れの例を説明する説明図である。図6は、図1の自動分析装置における動作の流れの他の例を説明する説明図である。なお、図2では、試料分注機構の図示は理解の便宜のために敢えて省略している。また、自動分析装置全体を制御する制御部、分析データの表示部、入力部および記憶部の図示は、いずれの図でも敢えて省略している。
 図1に示すように、自動分析装置1aは、装置の長手方向に沿って、試料ディスク10と、中間ディスク(ディスク)20と、反応ディスク(検査機構)60とを、この順に備えている。
 中間ディスク20の装置前方側には、フロー系分析機構(検査機構)30a~30cを備えており、このフロー系分析機構30a~30cのさらに装置前方側には、前処理液およびフロー系分析試薬容器収納部(以下、「前処理液容器等収納部」という。)40と、ディスポーザブル容器収納部50とを備えている。反応ディスク60の装置前方側には、生化学検査用試薬カセット70を備えている。
 そして、各構成要素の間に、以下の各分注機構または移送機構を備えている。すなわち、試料ディスク10と反応ディスク60との間には、試料分注機構15を備えている。中間ディスク20と前処理液容器等収納部40との間には前処理液およびフロー系分析試薬分注機構(以下、「前処理液等分注機構」という。)45、同様にディスポーザブル容器収納部50との間にはディスポーザブル容器移送機構55を、それぞれ備えている。反応ディスク60と生化学検査用試薬カセット70との間には、第1および第2の試薬分注機構65a,65bを備えている。
 試料ディスク10は、試料を保持する試料容器11が、外周10a側と中心10b側とに所定間隔でそれぞれ配置されている。
 中間ディスク20は、試料ディスク10の側方に設けられており、前処理液による試料の前処理のみならず、試料とフロー系分析の試薬との反応をも行うようになっている。なお、本発明において前処理という場合には、試料の希釈も含む。また、フロー系分析試薬を分注した後に、所定の時間の放置または一定温度での加温を行うことも前処理という場合がある。
 中間ディスク20は、周方向に沿って所定間隔でディスポーザブル容器(中間容器)21が着脱可能に配置されるとともに、図示の例ではこのディスポーザブル容器21を洗浄する洗浄機構23が設けられている。なお、ディスポーザブル容器21を全て使い捨てとする場合には、この洗浄機構23はなくてもよい。また、図示は省略しているが、試料を前処理液やフロー系試薬と攪拌する攪拌機構も設けられている。
 フロー系分析機構30a~30cは、免疫血清検査、血液凝固検査、電解質検査等のフロー系分析ができる公知の項目の検査を、依頼内容に応じて適宜選択して行うことができる。フロー系分析機構の数は、依頼内容に応じて適宜増やしてもよいし、減らしたりなくしてもよい。これにより、装置のさらなる単純化を図ることができる。
 前処理液容器等収納部40に収納される容器41は、言うまでもないが、前処理を行う際には前処理液が、フロー系分析を行う場合には対応するフロー系分析の検査用試薬が、それぞれ保持されるようになっている。
 ディスポーザブル容器収納部50に収納されるディスポーザブル容器21は、ディスポーザブル容器移送機構55により、中間ディスク20のディスポーザブル容器21と適宜交換できるようになっている。
 反応ディスク60は、周方向に沿って所定間隔で固定された反応容器61が配置されるとともに、生化学検査用の測光機構62と、反応容器61を洗浄する洗浄機構63とが設けられている。また、図示は省略しているが、反応ディスク60は、試料を試薬と攪拌する攪拌機構も設けられている。測光機構62は、同様に図示はしないが、反応容器61内の反応液を分析する分析光を照射する光源や、反応液を透過した分析光を分光して検出する検出器等を備えている。なお、この測光機構62は生化学以外の項目の検査に使用してもよい。
 生化学検査用試薬カセット70は、第1および第2の試薬保持部71a,71bが形成されており、これにより、生化学検査用の第1の試薬と第2の試薬とを1つの容器で保持でき、これらを別々に管理する必要がなくなる。ただし、第1の試薬および第2の試薬は、試験管等の容器により別々に保持させてもよいし、試薬ディスクを設けてこれに配置された容器に保持させてもよい。また、生化学検査用試薬カセット70は、他の項目の検査用試薬を保持してもよい。
 また、ディスクとして、上述の試料ディスク10、中間ディスク20および反応ディスク60の他に、待機ディスクを設けて、この待機ディスクにおいて、試料の再検査や試薬との反応時間経過までの待機、試薬の分注等を行うこととしてもよい。
 試料分注機構15は、試料分注アーム16と、水平方向に沿って設けられた水平レール17と、鉛直方向に沿って設けられた鉛直レール18とを備えた、いわゆるXYレール式の分注機構である。これにより、試料分注機構15は、中間ディスク20や反応ディスク60上のいずれの位置にある容器に対しても任意に近づいて試料を分注することができる。なお、ここでは水平方向に直交することを「鉛直」と表現している。
 水平レール17は、装置の後方端において試料ディスク10から反応ディスク60にかけて設けられている。鉛直レール18は、水平レール17から装置内方に向けて延びて取り付けられており、この水平レール17上を摺動する。試料分注アーム16は、鉛直レール18に取り付けられており、この鉛直レール18上を摺動する。つまり、試料分注アーム16は、鉛直レール18を介して水平レール17により水平方向への移動が、鉛直レール18により直接に鉛直方向への移動が、それぞれガイドされるようになっている。
 前処理液等分注機構45、ディスポーザブル容器移送機構55、第1および第2の試薬分注機構65a,65bは、試料分注機構15と同様に、いずれもXYレール式の分注機構である。
 前処理液等分注機構45は、前処理液容器等収納部40の容器41に保持されている前処理液またはフロー系分析試薬を、依頼内容に応じて適宜選択して分注する。
 前処理液等分注機構45は、前処理液等分注アーム46と、中間ディスク20と反応ディスク60との隙間から装置前方に延びる鉛直レール47と、この鉛直レール47から中間ディスク20側に延びて取り付けられた水平レール48とからなり、水平レール48が鉛直レール47上を、前処理液等分注アーム46が水平レール48上を摺動する。なお、鉛直レール47は、第1および第2の試薬分注機構65a,65bと共用される。
 ディスポーザブル容器移送機構55は、先端でディスポーザブル容器21を把持する容器把持アーム56と、前処理液等分注機構45の鉛直レール47と中間ディスク20を挟んで対向して設けられた鉛直レール57と、この鉛直レール57から延びて取り付けられた水平レール58とを備えている。そして、水平レール58が鉛直レール57上を、容器把持アーム56が水平レール58上を摺動する。
 第1の試薬分注機構65aは、鉛直レール47を前処理液等分注機構45と共用しており、第1の試薬分注アーム66aと、鉛直レール47と反応ディスク60を挟んで対向して設けられた鉛直レール67と、これらの鉛直レール47,67間に架設された水平レール68aとからなる。そして、水平レール68aが鉛直レール47,67上を、第1の試薬分注アーム66aが水平レール68a上を摺動する。
 第2の試薬分注機構65bは、鉛直レール47を前処理液等分注機構45および第1の試薬分注機構65aと共用しており、第2の試薬分注アーム66bと、鉛直レール47,67間に架設された水平レール68bとを備えている。そして、第1の試薬分注機構65aと同様に、水平レール68bが鉛直レール47,67上を、第2の試薬分注アーム66bが水平レール68b上を摺動する。
 なお、各分注機構は、ディスク上の任意の容器に分注できれば、例えば多関節式アーム等の公知の他の分注機構としてもよい。
 以上により、自動分析装置1aでは、図2に示すように、主に前処理を行わない生化学検査の場合の試料ディスク10から反応ディスク60への試料の流れL、主に前処理を行う生化学検査やフロー系分析の場合の同様な中間ディスク20への試料の流れLが構成されるようになっている。また、前処理液容器等収納部40から中間ディスク20への前処理液等の流れL、同様なディスポーザブル容器収納部50からのディスポーザブル容器21の流れL、生化学検査用試薬カセット70から反応ディスク60への試薬の流れLが構成されるようになっている。
 上述した構成による自動分析装置1aの動作の流れを、生化学検査において前処理が必要な場合を例にとって説明する。
 図3(a)に示すように、自動分析装置1aは、前処理が必要な生化学検査が開始されると、試料分注機構15の試料分注アーム16が、水平レール17および鉛直レール18により試料ディスク10の試料容器11上に移動し、試料容器11内の試料を吸引する。
 試料吸引後、図3(b)に示すように、試料分注アーム16が、中間ディスク20のディスポーザブル容器21上に移動し、このディスポーザブル容器21内に試料を吐出する。
 試料吐出後、図3(c)に示すように、中間ディスク20が時計回り(図中矢印参照)に回転して試料(図中の黒塗りの位置であり、理解の便宜のために移動前と移動後双方の位置を黒塗りにしてある。)が移動する。また、前処理液等分注機構45の前処理液等分注アーム46が、鉛直レール47および水平レール48により、前処理液容器等収納部40の容器41上に移動し、容器41内の前処理液を吸引する。なお、図示の例では、試料分注アーム16は、試料ディスク10上の当初位置に戻る。
 試料移動および前処理液吸引後、図4(a)に示すように、前処理液等分注アーム46が、中間ディスク20の試料の入ったディスポーザブル容器21上に移動し、このディスポーザブル容器21内に前処理液を吐出する。
 前処理液吐出後、前処理が済むと、図4(b)に示すように、中間ディスク20が時計回り(図中矢印参照)に回転して前処理済み試料が移動する。なお、図示の例では、前処理液等分注アーム46は、前処理液容器等収納部40上の当初位置に戻る。
 前処理済み試料移動後、図4(c)に示すように、試料分注アーム16が、前処理済み試料の入ったディスポーザブル容器21上に移動し、このディスポーザブル容器21内の前処理済み試料を吸引する。
 前処理済み試料吸引後、図5(a)に示すように、試料分注アーム16が、反応ディスク60の反応容器61上に移動し、この反応容器61に前処理済み試料を吐出する。
 前処理済み試料吐出後、図5(b)に示すように、反応ディスク60が時計回り(図中矢印参照)に回転して反応容器61の前処理済み試料(図中の黒塗りの位置であり、理解の便宜のために移動前と移動後双方の位置を黒塗りにしてある。)が移動する。また、第1の試薬分注機構65aの第1の試薬分注アーム66aが、鉛直レール47,67および水平レール68aにより、生化学検査用試薬カセット70の第1の試薬保持部71a上に移動し、この第1の試薬保持部71aに保持される第1の試薬を吸引する。
 前処理済み試料移動および第1の試薬吸引後、図5(c)に示すように、第1の試薬分注アーム66aが、前処理済み試料の入った反応容器61上に移動し、この反応容器61に第1の試薬を吐出する。
 第1の試薬吐出後、図示は省略するが、必要に応じて第2の試薬分注アーム66bが第2の試薬保持部71b上に移動する。そして、第2の試薬を吸引してから、前処理済み試料および第1の試薬が入った反応容器61上に移動し、この反応容器61に第2の試薬を吐出する。なお、第2の試薬の分注は、通常第1の試薬吐出から約5分経過後に行われる。
 以上により、試料と第1の試薬および必要に応じて第2の試薬との反応後の反応液が、反応ディスク60の回転により測光機構62に移動して分析される。分析終了後は、反応容器61は、洗浄機構63により洗浄される。また、ディスポーザブル容器21は、洗浄機構23により洗浄されるか、ディスポーザブル容器移送機構55の容器把持アーム56によりディスポーザブル容器収納部50に移送された後、これに廃棄される。
 前処理の必要がない生化学検査では、図3(b)~図4(c)で示した動作がないこと以外は、概ね前処理が必要な生化学検査と同様の動作をする。
 免疫血清検査等のフロー系分析では、図3(a)~図4(a)の動作が、前処理液の代わりにフロー系分析の検査用試薬を分注すること以外は、前処理が必要な生化学検査と同様である。そして、試料とフロー系分析試薬との反応後、図6に示すように、反応液が、図示の例ではフロー系分析機構30bに吸引される。
 ここで、図1~6で説明した例では、試薬分注機構は、前処理液等分注機構45と第1および第2の試薬分注機構65a,65bとの合計3本が備えられているが、適宜増減してもよい。本数を減らせば装置のさらなる単純化を図れるし、増やせばさらなる処理効率の向上を図ることができる。そのような試薬分注機構の本数を変えた変形例について説明する。図7~9は、本発明の自動分析装置の変形例の概略を示す概略平面図である。
 図7に示す自動分析装置1bは、試薬分注機構を第1および第2の試薬分注機構65a,65bのみの2本を備えており、これらを前処理液等分注機構としても機能させて、中間ディスク20において前処理液やフロー系分析試薬の分注に兼用している。つまり、複数項目の検査機構で試薬分注機構を共通して用いている。
 図8に示す自動分析装置1cは、試薬分注機構を第1の試薬分注機構65aのみの1本とし、さらなる試薬分注機構の共通化を図っている。
 図9に示す自動分析装置1dは、自動分析装置1bおよび1cとは逆に、反応ディスク60に試薬を分注する試薬分注機構として、第1および第2の試薬分注機構65a,65bのみならず、第3および第4の試薬分注機構65c,65dをさらに備えている。
 第3および第4の試薬分注機構65c,65dは、第1および第2の試薬分注機構65a,65bと同様に、第3および第4の試薬分注アーム66c,66dと、これを水平方向に摺動させる水平レール68c,68dとを備えている。
 水平レール68a,68bと水平レール68c,68dとの間には、鉛直レール69が設けられており、この鉛直レール69は第1~第4の試薬分注機構65a~65dで共用される。
 生化学検査用試薬カセット70は、鉛直レール69を介して二つの領域に分かれて配置されている。第3および第4の試薬分注機構65c,65d側の生化学検査用試薬カセット70には、第3の試薬を保持する第3の試薬保持部71cと第4の試薬を保持する第4の試薬保持部71dとが、第1および第2の試薬保持部71a,71bと同様に形成されている。
 自動分析装置1dでは、反応ディスク60に試薬を分注する試薬分注機構を4本備えたので、例えば生化学検査のように、依頼の多い項目を、第1および第2の試薬分注機構65a,65bと第3および第4の試薬分注機構65c,65dとの二手に分けてより迅速に処理することができる。
 つづいて、自動分析装置1a~1dの動作サイクルについて説明する。図10は基本サイクルを説明する説明図、図11はAサイクルにおける中間ディスクの回転動作を説明する説明図、図12(a)、(b)はBサイクルにおける中間ディスクの回転動作を説明する説明図である。図13(a)~(d)は図10の基本サイクルで最短サイクルとした場合の動作を説明する説明図であり、図14~20は容器が20個配置された場合の中間ディスクの回転動作の例を示す図である。図21(a)、(b)はn=2とn=3の動作サイクルを組み合わせた場合の動作の例を説明する説明図であり、図22は前処理において放置あるいは一定時間の加温が必要な場合の動作を説明する説明図である。なお、図11、図12および図14~20では、中間ディスクの配置については理解の便宜のために敢えて適宜省略ないしは変更している。
 自動分析装置1a~1dは、図10に示すように、中間ディスクで前処理動作を行うAサイクルと、反応ディスクやフロー系分析機構(分析部)への再サンプリング(試料再分注)動作を行うBサイクルとを組み合わせて基本サイクルとする。つまり、AサイクルとBサイクルは各々独立して制御部により制御されるが、サイクル時間を同じくし、これにより前処理の動作タイミングと分析部への動作タイミングとを揃える。なお、前処理の必要がない検査項目では、試料分注動作が試料ディスクから反応ディスクに行われるが、中間ディスクへの試料分注動作と区別するために、これについても敢えて「再サンプリング」と称する。
 フロー系分析の検査項目では、Aサイクルはフロー系分析試薬の中間ディスク20への分注動作に該当する。前処理の必要がない生化学検査では、AサイクルをBサイクルの動作に当ててもよい。これは、前処理の必要がある生化学検査やフロー系分析の検査において、Aサイクル時に中間ディスク20への分注動作が行われない場合も同様である。なお、図10の例では、1つの基本サイクル中において、Aサイクルの後に2つのBサイクルが入っているが、Aサイクル後のBサイクルの数は、検査項目や試料数等に応じて適宜変更してもよい。
 図11に示すように、Aサイクルでは、サンプリング(試料分注)、前処理液分注、攪拌および洗浄を各々1サイクル中で行う。中間ディスク20は、例えば容器x個分等の、配置された容器数に1を足した数、もしくはそれ以外の数と共通の因数となるステップにより規則的に一方向に回転する。
 Bサイクルは、Aサイクルで攪拌までの前処理の一連の動作が終了し、再サンプリングされるサンプルの準備ができた段階で動作する。図12に示すように、Bサイクルでは、次に再サンプリングされる容器が中間ディスク20のどの位置にあっても、再サンプリング位置に移動する。この場合の移動距離は自由であるが、中間ディスク20は、図12(a)に示した時計回りの回転、図12(b)に示した反時計回りの回転のいずれをも選択することができるようにし、移動する距離や時間を短縮することができる。
 このような基本サイクルにより、再サンプリング動作は、依頼項目の内容に応じた最適なサイクル数のBサイクルの時間で行われる。つまり、再サンプリングのための動作サイクル時間(複数項目の検査機構への試料の分注動作サイクル時間)は、最小動作サイクル時間のn倍である。ここで、AサイクルとBサイクルとのサイクル時間は同じであるので、中間ディスク20を介する検査項目では、再サンプリング動作サイクル時間は、中間ディスク20の回転動作サイクル時間のn倍に相当する。なお、nは例えば1.5等の整数間の中間値も含みうるが、制御の容易性を考慮すると整数であることが好ましい。
 上述の基本サイクルをn=1の最短サイクルにした場合、中間ディスク20では図13に示す動作をする。
 まず、最初(1回目)のAサイクルでは、図13(a)に示すように、最初の試料(試料1)がサンプリングされる。
 次(2回目)のAサイクルでは、図13(a)、(b)に示すように、試料1に前処理液が分注されるとともに、試料1につづく試料2がサンプリングされる。
 3回目のAサイクルでは、図13(a)~(c)に示すように、試料1が攪拌されるとともに、試料2に前処理液が分注される。そして、試料2につづく試料3がサンプリングされる。また、試料1は、この3回目のAサイクルにつづく同じ基本サイクル中の2つのBサイクルで再サンプリングされる。なお、図示の例では、6つの生化学検査項目があるため、次およびその次の基本サイクルにおける2つのBサイクルでも試料1は再サンプリングされる。
 4回目のAサイクルでは、図13(b)~(d)に示すように、試料2が攪拌されるとともに、試料3に前処理液が分注される。そして、試料3につづく試料4がサンプリングされる。なお、この4回目のAサイクルにつづく同じ基本サイクル中のBサイクルでは、試料1が再サンプリングされているため、試料2は再サンプリングされない。
 5回目のAサイクルでは、図13(c)、(d)に示すように、試料3が攪拌されるとともに、試料4に前処理液が分注される。そして、図示は省略するが、試料4につづく試料がサンプリングされる。なお、この5回目のAサイクルにつづく同じ基本サイクル中のBサイクルでも、試料1が再サンプリングされているため、試料2および試料3は再サンプリングされない。
 6回目のAサイクルでは、図13(d)に示すように、試料4が攪拌される。そして、図示しない試料4につづく試料の分注や前処理液分注がされる。また、図13(b)に示すように、この6回目のAサイクルにつづく同じ基本サイクル中の2つのBサイクルでは、試料2が再サンプリングされる。なお、試料1と同様に次およびその次の基本サイクルにおける2つのBサイクルでも試料2は再サンプリングされる。そのため、この間のBサイクルでは試料3および試料4は再サンプリングされない。
 そして、図13(c)に示すように、試料2の再サンプリングが終了した次の3つの基本サイクル中のBサイクルでは、試料3が再サンプリングされる。
 このようにして、順次サンプリング、前処理液分注、攪拌および再サンプリングを繰り返して行く。
 上述の最短サイクルにおいて、例えば、中間ディスク20に20個の容器を配置した場合には、中間ディスク20は図14~20に示すように回転動作する。
 まず、図14に示すように、Aサイクルのタイミングで1の番号が付いた容器にaの位置でサンプリングが行われる。
 サンプリング後、図15に示すように、次のAサイクルのタイミングで中間ディスク20が容器3つ分、反時計回りに回転し、1の番号が付いた容器にbの位置で前処理液が分注されるとともに、18の番号が付いた容器にaの位置でサンプリングが行われる。
 図15の動作後、図16に示すように、さらに次のAサイクルのタイミングで中間ディスク20がさらに容器3つ分、反時計回りに回転し、1の番号が付いた容器はcの位置で試料が攪拌されるとともに、18の番号が付いた容器にbの位置で前処理液が分注される。そして、15の番号が付いた容器にcの位置でサンプリングが行われる。
 図16の動作後、図17に示すように、Bサイクルのタイミングで、中間ディスク20の回転により1の番号が付いた容器がdの位置まで移動し、この位置で再サンプリングが行われる。
 再サンプリング後、図18に示すように、再び次のAサイクルのタイミングで、中間ディスク20の回転により18の番号が付いた容器がcの位置まで移動し、この位置で試料が攪拌されるとともに、15の番号が付いた容器にbの位置で前処理液が分注される。そして、12の番号が付いた容器にaの位置でサンプリングが行われる。
 図18の動作後、図19に示すように、Bサイクルのタイミングで、中間ディスク20の回転により1の番号が付いた容器がdの位置に戻り、図17と同様に再サンプリングが行われる。
 1の番号が付いた容器からの再サンプリングが終了した次の基本サイクルにおけるBサイクルでは、図20に示すように、中間ディスク20の回転により18の番号が付いた容器がdの位置まで移動し、この位置で再サンプリングが行われる。また、この状態では、15および12の番号が付いた容器では試料の攪拌、9の番号が付いた容器では前処理液の分注、6の番号が付いた容器ではサンプリングが既に済んでいる。
 なお、再サンプリング終了後の容器は、必要に応じてAサイクルのタイミングで、e~hの位置において、図示しない洗浄機構により試料吸引、洗浄液吐出、洗浄、洗浄液吸引が順に行われる。
 また、例えば、試料1では再サンプリングのための動作サイクル時間を最小動作サイクル時間の2倍(n=2)に設定し、試料2では3倍(n=3)に設定した場合には、中間ディスク20は図21に示す動作をする。
 すなわち、Aサイクルでは、最短サイクルの場合と同様に、サンプリング、前処理液分注、攪拌が順次行われる。一方、Bサイクルでは、図21(a)に示すように、試料1の攪拌が行われたAサイクルと同じ基本サイクル中の2つのBサイクルのうち、後の方のBサイクルで最初の再サンプリングが行われる。これにより、次の再サンプリングが、次の基本サイクルのAサイクルと重ならないようになっている。
 試料1の次の再サンプリングは、最初の再サンプリングを行った基本サイクルの次の基本サイクル中の最初のBサイクルで行われる。そして、さらに次の再サンプリングは、Aサイクルと重なるため、同じ基本サイクル中の最初のBサイクルにずらして行われる。
 図21(b)に示すように、試料2は、試料1の再サンプリングが終了した次の基本サイクル中のBサイクルで最初の再サンプリングが行われる。そして、試料2はサイクル間隔がAサイクルと重ならないので、基本サイクル中の最初のBサイクルで順次再サンプリングが行われる。
 前処理において放置あるいは一定温度での加温が必要な場合には、図22に示すように、Aサイクルでは最短サイクルの場合と同様に、サンプリング、前処理液分注、攪拌が順次行われる。一方、Bサイクルでは、定められた前処理時間が経過するまで再サンプリングが行われない。そして、前処理時間経過後のBサイクルのタイミングで再サンプリングが行われる。
 つづいて、各検査項目における動作例を説明する。図23(a)、(b)は生化学検査における動作の例を説明する説明図、図24(a)~(d)は免疫血清検査における動作の例を説明する説明図、図25(a)~(c)は生化学検査と免疫血清検査とを組み合わせた場合における動作の例を説明する説明図である。
 生化学検査の項目では、通常、前処理時間に制限がなく、再サンプリングの動作サイクルも短いため、その動作サイクル時間は最小動作サイクル時間(n=1)で済む。しかし、試料量が多く試料の吸引に時間がかかるために最小動作サイクル時間内に試料の分注が終わらない場合がある。その場合には、図23(a)に示すように、再サンプリングのための動作サイクル時間を、最小動作サイクル時間の2倍(n=2)に設定する。
 また、再サンプリング後の試薬分注時に試薬プローブ(図示せず)のキャリーオーバーを回避するために、図1等に示した反応ディスク60の反応容器61の洗浄が必要な場合がある。その場合には、図23(b)に示すように、Bサイクルに、再サンプリングを行わない空きサイクルを予め設定し、この空きサイクルを固定容器の洗浄に用いる。そして、再サンプリングは、空きサイクルの次のBサイクルで行う。
 免疫血清検査では、分析原理上、再サンプリングの動作サイクルが生化学検査に比べて長いため、動作サイクル時間は最小動作サイクル時間の2倍以上(n≧2)に設定する。
 例えば、n=3に設定した場合には、図24(a)に示すように、再サンプリングのタイミングがAサイクルと重なることはない。なお、図示の例では、再サンプリングのタイミング制御を容易とする観点から、基本サイクル中の後の方のBサイクルで再サンプリングしているが、同サイクル中の最初のBサイクルで再サンプリングをしてもよい。
 これに対し、n=2に設定した場合には、図24(b)に示すように、再サンプリングのタイミングがAサイクルで次の試料のサンプリング動作と重なることがある。その場合には、図24(c)に示すように、該当するAサイクルでは次の試料のサンプリングを優先し、再サンプリングは1サイクルずらして当該Aサイクル中と同じ基本サイクル中の最初のBサイクルで行う。
 また、n=2に設定していても、Aサイクルで次の試料のサンプリング動作が入らない場合には、図24(d)に示すように、Aサイクルであってもn=2のサイクル通りに再サンプリングする。
 この免疫血清検査における動作例は、血液凝固検査等の他のフロー系分析の検査項目でも同様に適用することができる。
 以上に説明した動作サイクルにより、例えば、図25(a)に示すように、生化学検査の依頼が連続して入っている場合には、次の試料のサンプリングがないAサイクルも含めて連続して生化学検査の再サンプリングが行われる。
 また、生化学検査とn=2に設定した免疫血清検査の依頼が入っている場合には、図25(b)に示すように、生化学検査と免疫血清検査の再サンプリングが交互に行われる。
 そして、生化学検査とn=2および3の免疫血清検査との依頼が入っている場合には、図25(c)に示すように、免疫血清検査間の再サンプリングは、n=2であれば1サイクル、n=3であれば2サイクルのように、必要なサイクル数を空きサイクルとし、その間に生化学検査の再サンプリングが行われる。なお、図25(b)、(c)は、いずれもAサイクルで次の試料のサンプリングがない場合の例である。
 このような動作サイクルの制御は、種々の条件に基づく優先度判定にしたがって行われる。以下、この優先度判定について説明する。図26(a)~(c)は優先度判定の流れを示すフロー図、図27(a)~(c)は優先度判定にしたがった動作の例を説明する説明図、図28は試薬分注機構の重なりを説明する説明図である。
 まず、図26(a)に示すように、前処理および中間ディスク上での試薬分注に関し、(i)電解質検査(ISE)や迅速処理の要請があった項目等の緊急検査項目、(ii)放置あるいは一定温度の加温が必要なために前処理時間が定められた検査項目の有無を判定し、これらの項目があった場合には、(i)、(ii)の順で優先して処理する。
 次に、図26(b)に示すように、各検査項目の検査機構への再サンプリングのための動作サイクル時間が最小動作サイクル時間の何倍であるか、つまり各分析部のサイクルタイム数nがいくつであるかと、分析部での試薬のキャリーオーバー回避の必要性とを判定する。そして、nの数が大きい検査項目を優先して処理するとともに、試薬のキャリーオーバー回避の必要性がある場合には空きサイクルを予め設定する。
 また、図7および8に示したように、中間ディスク20と反応ディスク60とで試薬分注機構65a(65b)を共通化した場合には、再サンプリング後に、反応ディスク60上での生化学検査の試薬分注タイミングと、中間ディスク20上でのフロー系分析の試薬分注タイミングとが同じ動作サイクルに重なる場合がある。その場合には、図26(c)に示すように、再サンプリング後の試薬分注機構の重なりの有無を判定し、重なる場合には、それを回避するために再サンプリング前に空きサイクルを予め設定する。
 生化学検査の項目が5項目、かつキャリーオーバー回避の必要が1件あり、免疫血清検査の項目が3項目(n=3が2項目、n=2が1項目)ある場合に優先度判定にしたがった例について説明する。なお、この例は、いずれもAサイクルで次の試料のサンプリングがない場合である。
 図27(a)に示すように、生化学検査の4つ目の項目と5つ目の項目とで、試薬のキャリーオーバーの回避が必要と判断された場合には、図27(b)に示すように、生化学検査の4つ目の項目と5つ目の項目との間に容器洗浄のための空きサイクルを設定し、5つ目の項目の再サンプリングを1サイクルずらして行う。
 また、この例が、中間ディスクと反応ディスクとで試薬分注機構が共通化されており、例えば図28に示すように、再サンプリング後に生化学検査の5つ目の項目における第1の試薬(R1)分注と、n=2の免疫血清検査の項目における試薬分注とのタイミングが重なり、後者のタイミングをずらさなくてはならない場合がある。その場合には、図27(c)に示すように、試薬分注機構の重なりを回避するために、免疫血清検査の再サンプリングのタイミングを予め1サイクルずらして行う。
 なお、自動分析装置1aは、これまでに説明してきた再サンプリングのための動作サイクル時間が最小動作サイクル時間のn倍以外の任意の時間に設定できる検査機構を組み合わせて分析を行ってもよい。これにより、複数項目の検査のさらなる迅速な処理を行い得る。
 このように、本発明の自動分析装置1a~1dでは、各検査項目における再サンプリング動作サイクル時間を、最小サイクル時間のn倍にしたので、装置構成を複雑にしなくても、分析原理の異なる複数項目の検査で再サンプリングのタイミングを揃えてこれらの検査を効率的に行うことができる。
 詳しくは、複数項目の検査で再サンプリングのタイミングを、最小動作サイクル時間に対応するように揃えたことで、以下の(1)~(4)のことが可能となる。
 (1)サイクルタイムが長い免疫血清検査等の項目の再サンプリング間に、サイクルタイムが短い項目である生化学検査等の再サンプリングを行うこと。
 複数項目間で再サンプリングのタイミングが揃ってないと、サイクルタイムが長い項目間にサイクルタイムの短い項目の検査が間に合わないことや、検査が終わっても時間が余ってしまうことがある。これに対し、再サンプリングのタイミングを揃えたことで、サイクルタイムの長い検査項目間に時間の過不足なくサイクルタイムの短い項目の検査を行うことができ、複数項目の検査の効率的な処理が図れるのである。そして、これにより、依頼数が少ない検査項目間に依頼数が多い項目の検査をすることも同様に可能となる。
 (2)Aサイクルで前処理やフロー系分析試薬分注の動作がない場合に、Aサイクルで再サンプリングを行うこと。
 再サンプリング動作サイクル時間が最小動作サイクル時間と対応していなければ、Aサイクルで前処理等の動作がない場合に再サンプリングを行うことが困難になるが、再サンプリング動作サイクル時間を最小動作サイクル時間のn倍としたことでそれを可能とし、複数項目の検査の効率的な処理を図れる。
 (3)サイクルタイムが長い検査項目では、前処理液分注機構を試薬分注のために共用し、該当する項目の試薬分注がないときには、生化学検査の前処理液を分注する動作に充てる等の試薬分注機構の共通化を図ること。
 複数の検査項目間で再サンプリングのタイミングが揃わなければ、処理能力を維持するためには各検査項目の機構ごとに試薬分注機構が必要となり、装置構成が複雑となるが、そのタイミングを揃えたことで試薬分注機構の共通化が図れて処理能力を低下させることなく装置構成を単純化できる。そして、試薬分注機構の共通化が図れれば、前処理を行うディスクをサイクルタイムの長い検査項目の反応のために共用することもでき、装置構成の一層の単純化を図ることが可能となる。
 (4)各動作サイクル時間を最小動作サイクル時間のn倍にするという簡易なタイミング制御を行うことにより、将来的に定められ得る新たな検査項目に対応できること。
 細かく動作タイミングを制御すると、新しい項目が定められた場合に、その項目の検査を組み込むことが困難になるが、本発明のような簡易なタイミング制御であれば、そのような項目を適宜組み込める。
 また、再サンプリングのサイクルであるBサイクルに空きサイクルを設定したことにより、試薬のキャリーオーバーや試薬分注機構を共通化した場合のその重なりを予め回避することができる。つまり、再サンプリング後に試薬のキャリーオーバーを回避しようとすると、再サンプリングされた試料を放棄しなければならず試料の無駄となるし、容器の洗浄後に再度の再サンプリングが必要になり処理能力も低下する。また、試薬分注機構の重なりについても、再サンプリング後に対応すると試薬分注機構の制御が複雑になる虞がある。これに対し、予めこれらの事態を防ぐことで、試料の無駄防止や処理の効率化を図れる。
 さらに、上述した優先度判定を行うことにより、緊急検査項目に迅速に対応できることはもとより、前処理時間が定められた項目やサイクルタイムの長い項目の検査を優先することで、検査に要する時間の長短により検査の終了にバラツキが生じないようにすることができる。また、試薬のキャリーオーバーや試薬分注機構の重なりの回避のための設定を優先度判定で一律的に行うことにより、これらの事態の発生をより確実に回避して処理の一層の効率化を図れる。つまり、優先度判定により、各動作の制御を体系的に行うことができ、複数項目の検査をさらに効率良く処理できるようになる。
 本発明は、血液等の成分を自動的に分析する自動分析装置に利用可能である。

Claims (6)

  1.  試料容器内から分注された試料の前処理液による前処理または前記試料と試薬との反応を行う中間容器が配置されるディスクと、前記試料容器内または前記中間容器内から分注された前記試料の複数項目の検査機構とを有する自動分析装置であって、前記試料容器内または前記中間容器内から前記複数項目の検査機構への前記試料の分注動作サイクル時間が、各検査項目の最小動作サイクル時間のn倍(nは整数または整数間の中間値)であることを特徴とする自動分析装置。
  2.  請求項1に記載の自動分析装置において、前記最小動作サイクル時間は、前記ディスクを介する場合のその回転動作サイクル時間であることを特徴とする自動分析装置。
  3.  請求項1または2に記載の自動分析装置において、前記試料の分注動作サイクルに空きサイクルを設定したことを特徴とする自動分析装置。
  4.  請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の自動分析装置において、下記(a)、(b)の優先度判定を行うことを特徴とする自動分析装置:
     (a)(i)緊急検査項目および/または(ii)前処理時間が定められた検査項目があった場合に、前記(i)、(ii)の順で優先して処理する優先度判定、
     (b)nの数が大きい検査項目を優先して処理するとともに、前記検査機構における試薬分注時のキャリーオーバーを回避するために前記試料の分注動作サイクルに空きサイクルを設定する優先度判定。
  5.  請求項4に記載の自動分析装置において、さらに、(c)前記試薬を分注する試薬分注機構が、前記複数項目の検査機構で共通する場合に、同じ動作サイクルにおける前記試薬分注機構による前記試薬の分注タイミングの重なりを回避するために前記空きサイクルを設定する優先度判定を行うことを特徴とする自動分析装置。
  6.  請求項1~5のいずれか1項に記載の自動分析装置において、前記試料の分注動作サイクル時間を前記最小動作サイクル時間のn倍以外である任意の時間に設定できる前記検査機構を組み合わせたことを特徴とする自動分析装置。
