Abstract

본 발명은 양극, 음극 및 분리막을 포함하는 전극조립체로서, 상기 양극은 양극집전체의 일부에 활물질이 도포되지 않은 양극무지부를 포함하고, 상기 음극은 음극집전체의 일부에 활물질이 도포되지 않은 음극무지부를 포함하며, 상기 양극과 음극의 무지부는 전극의 길이 방향을 기준으로 상기 전극조립체의 상부 및/또는 하부에 위치시키고, 상기 양극과 음극의 무지부에 양극 탭과 음극 탭이 연결되며, 상기 분리막은 바인더 고분자 또는 바인더 고분자/무기물입자로 이루어진 유/무기 혼합물이 기재 위에 도포된 복합 다공성 분리막인 전극조립체를 채용한 이차전지에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 구조를 가지는 전극조립체는 양극과 음극이 분리막에 의해 일체화된 라미네이트 구조를 가짐으로써 이차전지를 제조하는 차후 공정에서 유리하고, 안전성이 향상된 이차전지를 제조할 수 있다.
