L'objectif de l'invention est de disposer d'une porte de compartiment (13) d'un appareil frigorifique (1), notamment d'un réfrigérateur domestique, qui présente un meilleur effet isolant. A cet effet, ladite poignée (14) est placée à l'extérieur de la zone thermo-isolante de la porte (13) du compartiment. De plus, la porte (13) du compartiment doit présenter une surface avant (16) peu complexe et pouvoir cependant être actionnée au moyen d'une poignée (14, 14a). En outre, il doit être possible de déverrouiller la porte (13) du compartiment à l'aide de la poignée (14, 14a) et ce, malgré la surface avant (16) peu complexe de cette porte (13). A cet effet, la face (15) de la poignée (14, 14a) qui est orientée vers l'extérieur vient dans l'alignement plan de la surface avant (16) de la porte (13) du compartiment qui est orientée vers l'extérieur et un dispositif de libération (22) conçu pour ouvrir ou déverrouiller la porte fermée (13) du compartiment est notamment associé à la poignée (14) ou à la barre de poignée (14a).
