Definitions
- the invention is directed to a wound zipper for the care of wounds, especially in the area of fractures.
- Tear zippers are known in various designs, for example from DE 20 2004 020 340 U, DE 20 2007 001 764 U, WO 2008/037280 A or US Pat. No. 3,516,409. These known wound zippers serve exclusively for the treatment of open wounds. wherein the two zipper halves are glued next to the wound and by the coupling by means of the zipper slider, the wound is closed by the slider is guided over the zipper halves to their closure.
- the wounds are first provided by paramedics or suitably trained persons, first the wound is treated with hemostatic agents, then the fracture is aligned as far as possible and the affected limb is wrapped with bandages or the like, possibly under deployment from the fracture supporting rails, sedated, in which case after this initial care of the further transport takes place in a clinic or in a military hospital.
- the fracture In order to be able to X-ray the fracture, it is necessary to remove all bandages, bandages and splints. The fracture is then X-rayed, after which the open wound is cleaned again and reconnected and, if necessary, the fracture is plastered with plaster bandages.
- this object is achieved according to the invention in that at least in the region of a zipper half spiral or a row of zipper teeth on the adhesive tape over the length of the zipper extending receiving pocket is provided for a rail element.
- the fracture can immediately appear after application of the wound zipper without additional elements, such as bandages or the like. requires, since only the rail element must be inserted into the bag.
- a knee joint bandage with stiffening inserts shows the DE 19 29 624 U.
- the rail element to be inserted has a surface shape adapted to the limb to be shone, ie the rail, eg as a metal or light metal rail, can have an oval cross-sectional shape, a slightly crescent-shaped cross-sectional shape or the like. more.
- each zipper half is provided with a receiving pocket for a rail element.
- this wound closure has virtually three stabilizing elements, namely the two inserted rail elements on the one hand and the support by the zipper itself on the other.
- one or both rail elements can simply be removed for this process, the X-ray image can be taken and the rail elements can be pushed back without the patient being additionally burdened by this handling.
- the invention also provides that in the region of at least one zipper element a longitudinal double pocket for receiving a solid, elastic, a compress forming rod-shaped element on the one hand and for receiving a rigid rail element on the other hand is provided.
- the Rail elements fall out of the receiving pockets or solve themselves, can also be provided according to the invention that the Aufnähmetasche and the rail element are provided with corresponding openings in the position of use for receiving fixing elements.
- the adhesive surfaces of the zipper halves have a width which corresponds to at least a quarter of the zipper length. This measure is intended to ensure that the adhesive surface is designed comparatively large compared to conventional wound zippers in order to achieve a firm and lasting hold for the splinting of the wound or of the corresponding limb.
- the adhesive enlargement may be provided here without departing from the basic idea of the invention, the adhesive enlargement.
- the wound zipper 1 has two wound zipper halves Ia and Ib, which are each equipped with a plaster strip 3a and 3b, wherein the two plaster strips 3a and 3b wear on their colliding in the position of use end faces each one half of the zipper spiral 4a and 4b. These two spiral halves 4a and 4b are brought together by the zipper closure slide 5 and, if necessary, also reopened.
- straps 6 are attached to the pavement strips.
- rail elements 8a and 8b may, for example, be metal rods which may have a cross-sectional shape which allows a smooth application to the surface of the limb to be shone, for example in the form of a crescent shape, which is designated by 9 in the figure.
- additional pockets may be provided, which are e.g. the insertion of an elevated pressure exuding plastic beads od. Like. enable.
- the rail elements may be of any material having the required rigidity, whether made of stainless steel, aluminum or solid, e.g.
- the fabric of the plaster strip is particularly permeable to air, has a high adhesive strength and is, for example, water repellent u. like. more.
