- the connector 10 includes a pre-aligner 20, a plurality of terminals 30, and a housing body 40.
- the pre-aligner 20 is a member made of resin or the like, and has a plurality of terminal holding recesses 22 in which the terminals 30 can be fitted and held.
- the pre-aligner 20 is formed in a substantially square bar shape, and a plurality of terminal holding recesses 22 are formed at intervals along the longitudinal direction thereof.
- the plurality of terminals 30 are held in the respective terminal holding recesses 22 so as to be supported in a fixed posture with a space therebetween.
- the positions and intervals of the terminal holding recesses are not limited to the above, and can be appropriately adjusted according to the required number of terminals, terminal layout, and the like. For example, the intervals between the terminal holding recesses need not be uniform.
- each terminal holding recess 22 is formed in a concave groove shape opened to the outside of one side portion of the pre-aligner 20. And it is comprised so that the terminal 30 can be inserted in the terminal holding recessed part 22 by passing the terminal 30 in the terminal holding recessed part 22 from the side through the side opening of the terminal holding recessed part 22. Yes.
- the terminal holding recess 22 is formed with an engaged portion 24 that engages with an engaging portion 34 (described later) on the terminal 30 side to position the terminal 30 in the longitudinal direction.
- the engaged portions 24 are formed on both side surfaces of the terminal holding recess 22 in a groove shape extending in a substantially V shape from the side opening of the terminal holding recess 22 toward the back side.
- the terminal holding recess 22 is formed in a shape that allows the terminal 30 to be press-fitted. That is, the width dimension of the terminal holding recess 22 is formed to be smaller (slightly smaller here) than the width dimension of the terminal 30 at least at a part along the longitudinal direction of the terminal 30.
- the terminal 30 is fitted and held so as to be press-fitted into the terminal holding recess 22 so that the terminal 30 is held by the pre-aligner 20 with a certain holding force.
- the shape of the terminal holding recess is not limited to the above example, and may be any shape that can hold the terminal by fitting.
- the terminal holding recess may have a shape that can be fitted and held so that the terminal is inserted along its longitudinal direction.
- the terminal 30 is a long rod-shaped member formed of a conductive member such as metal.
- the terminal 30 is formed by dividing the wire.
- a pair of engaging portions 34 are formed on both side portions of the middle portion of the terminal 30 in the longitudinal direction.
- the engaging portion 34 is formed in a shape that can be fitted into the engaged portion 24, here, in a substantially V-shaped protrusion shape.
- Such an engaging part 34 is formed by, for example, pressing a part of the terminal 30. Then, the terminal 30 is positioned in the longitudinal direction by fitting the terminal 30 into the terminal holding recess 22 from the side so as to fit the pair of engaging portions 34 into the pair of engaged portions 24. In this state, the terminal holding recess 22 is held in a fixed posture.
- the terminal 30 is not limited to the configuration formed from the wire as described above, and may be formed by, for example, appropriately punching and bending a plate material.
- the housing main body 40 is configured as a resin molded product molded by using the pre-aligner 20 as an insert. More specifically, the housing main body 40 is formed in a substantially bowl shape with one opening.
- the pre-aligner 20 is integrally incorporated in the bottom 41 of the housing main body 40, and the terminals 30 held by the pre-aligner 20 are held in a predetermined arrangement form protruding inside and outside the housing main body 40. Yes.
