Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for lifting a person from a sitting position to an at least almost upright position.
- the device comprises a seat with a seat surface and at least one lifting device coupled to the seat for vertical adjustment and tilting of the seat surface.
- the invention further comprises a wheelchair equipped with such a device.
- Stand-up aids on chairs and armchairs which are intended to solve this problem, are known in many different versions.
- This stand-up aid consists essentially of a device which pivots the seat plate by means of a linear drive from a slightly reclining rearward sloping normal sitting position in a slightly forward to the seat leading edge sloping position. At the same time, the seat plate is raised by a sufficient amount, leaving the user in an almost standing position Posture with feet on the floor, with slightly bent legs and the center of gravity partially transferred from the chair and thus can easily get out of the chair.
- a stand-up aid mounted to a chair is described in US 5,803,545 which has an additional actuator.
- the stand-up itself consists of a seat plate, a tilting frame on which the seat plate is rotatably mounted, a stationary hinge which connects the tiltable frame with a chair frame, a backrest, which is connected via a freely movable joint with the tiltable frame, a Lever which is rotatably connected to the backrest, a linear drive which is connected to the lever via a freely movable joint, and a spring element which is also rotatably connected to the freely movable joint.
- the backrest and the associated seat plate is raised and simultaneously pivoted about the stationary hinge, so that the user in a nearly standing posture with his feet on the ground, with slightly bent legs and the body center of gravity partially from the chair is transferred away and thus easily get up from the chair.
- a stand-up aid in the training of a chair for the disabled is also known. It is used in particular for getting up from the sitting position for people with muscle weakness, people with mobility problems without outside help. He resembles a conventional piece of furniture in the external appearance and is mounted on a central, designed as a vertical guide column lifting device on a run on rollers base frame adjusted. The seat itself can be adjusted to assist in getting up or sitting down by a certain angle, so that the disabled person does not get into reserve when getting up or sitting down. Both adjustment options are made possible independently by pressing pushbuttons in an armrest. About one on the base frame mounted tread plate you can lock the chair for the disabled.
- a disadvantage of the invention described above is that it is a separate piece of furniture that is specially designed for the disabled.
- the toilet seat itself is adjustable only in a vertical direction, so that the user must still spend additional leg power to move from the sitting position to an upright position. In addition, it requires the installation presented here a fixed installation, so that conversion measures are necessary.
- the object of the invention is to make a stand-up help, which is particularly suitable for wheelchairs, and a wheelchair equipped with it safe to use and easy to design.
- the main idea of the solution of the problem is to adaptively attach a lifting device, in particular for easy mounting on wheelchairs or other seating, with the help of the seat, which is suitable for sitting, is raised so that the person sitting on the seat taken into a standing position.
- An essential idea of the invention is to use a simply constructed device in an existing and conventional chair, in particular a wheelchair, this device having a simple to build lifting device, which is for example electrically driven. It is very light in its overall weight, since it relies on the idea essential to the invention that the device repels the ground and thus the lifting device provides the corresponding counterforce. The considerable forces required for the lifting process can thus be introduced directly into the soil. At the same time the repulsion acts as a braking device, so that the chair, in particular wheelchair during movement does not leave its occupied position. This provides the user with the utmost security and makes him feel comfortable, easily and safely transferred from a sitting position to a standing position.
- the lifting device can be flexibly designed in its width. Through simple displacement mechanisms, this can be adapted in a very simple way to the appropriate width of a wheelchair or a normal chair. It is only necessary to remove the seat of the wheelchair or chair, since the seat of the lifting device according to the invention has a special design, namely, in rigid training, a linkage to the lifting device and an articulated integration in the lifting device, so that carried out a desired tilting movement can be.
- the lifting device has a centrally designed lifting device, so that the lifting device can be formed even with a small width. Thus, it can be easily used even on narrow chairs, but also to sports wheelchairs, which are narrow in itself.
- the stroke length depends on the desired level of the stand-up aid. The further the person has to be brought into the desired standing position, the longer is the lifting device.
- the device Since the device is realized in a very lightweight design, it is possible to continue to move the wheelchair by hand. Only a slight increase in weight (the wheelchair) is recorded.

- the wheelchair own seat has been removed in preparation for the installation of the lifting device.
- a lifting device 2, the upper part 2a is shown in Fig. 2, has a support frame 3 for receiving the lifting device 2 belonging seat 13 (see FIG. 8) and guide means 4 in the form of support arms and joints 5 for articulation of the seat surface 13 , At the lower end of the guide means 4 forming support arms are also hinge elements 4a for the articulation of the lower part 2b (see Fig. 4) of the lifting device 2 is provided, as is illustrated in more detail in Fig. 7.
- the width of the lifting device 2 can be adapted to the respective seat width.
- the guide means 4 are directed forwardly and thus form the corresponding pivoting plane for pivoting the seat surface 13, not shown in FIG. 3.
- a supply unit 7 for example, an electric battery on a lower part 2b in the form of a support frame 8 is attached.
- On the support frame 8 support elements 9 are mounted.
- the support elements 9 point in the direction of the ground.
- the supply unit 7 serves as a counterweight, so that a tilting of the chair forward is prevented even if the seat surface 13 is in an upright position (see Fig. 16).
- a lifting device 10 is shown. It is mounted on the lower part 2a of the lifting device 2 on a traverse 8c such that a lifting piston 11 extends in the direction of the seat surface 13 and has a connecting element 12 for articulation to the seat surface 13.
- a lifting piston 11 extends in the direction of the seat surface 13 and has a connecting element 12 for articulation to the seat surface 13.
- each telescoping pressure element so in addition to hydraulic or pneumatic piston and ball nuts and the like.
- the upper part 2a of the lifting device 2 is connected via the joint elements 4a with the lower part 2b with joint elements 8a, wherein suitable bolts are the joint elements 4a and 8a pass through and so connect the two parts 2a and 2b of the lifting device 2 hinged together.
- the lifting device 10 is mounted on the traverse 8c of the support frame 8 and the lower part 2b of the lifting device 2 such that the lifting piston 1 1 extends in the direction of the support frame 3.
- the lifting device is pivotally connected to the traverse 8c. In the position shown in FIG. 7, only the seat 13 still needs to be placed in order to complete the wheelchair ready for use.
- the seat surface 13 shown in Fig. 8 is connected to the connecting element 12.

- Fig. 11 the ready wheelchair 1 according to the invention is shown, which is equipped with a lifting device 2 according to the invention. Externally, this hardly differs from a conventional wheelchair unit.
- FIGS. 12 to 16 show the corresponding sequence of a transfer of a person from a sitting to a standing position (FIGS. 12 and 16).
- the person seated on the lowered seat surface 13 actuates a suitable remote control (not shown in detail) and thus triggers the corresponding lifting movement of the lifting device 10.
- the reciprocating piston 1 1 presses due to the weight that rests on the seat 13, first away from the seat 13 and presses the support members 9, as shown in Fig. 13 at a distance from the ground, towards the ground. Only when this, as shown in Fig.
- the reciprocating piston 1 1 begins to move the seat 13 and triggers a corresponding tilting in the direction of arrow of FIG. 14th out. This tilting goes so far until a position is reached almost upright position shown in FIG. 16. Since the reciprocating piston 1 1 is activated during this entire movement, the lifting device 2 is designed such that a counterforce (in the position according to FIG. 15) makes it possible to fix the wheelchair 1 during the rising phase (FIGS. 14 and 16).
- the idea of the stand-up aid essential to the invention is that one is a lifting device 2 which can be used adaptively and also retroactively in existing facilities such as wheelchairs or other chairs.
- Under chair is understood to mean any construction, which keep the support elements 9 of the lifting device 2 in the rest position away from the ground (or they can only lie loose) (function of the rear Chair legs or wheels), and in the Anhebe too a front base-side support against the torque applied by the lifting device 2 has (function of the front chair legs or wheels).
- the lifting device 2 over the prior art has the property that an automatic braking or clamping device is present, which prevents the chair or wheelchair from sliding away from the person who is in the rising phase.
- the braking device is supported by arranged at the free ends of the support elements rubber elements 9a or the like friction increasing means having a high static friction against the ground.
- the triggering of this braking device is done by a reciprocating piston 1 1, which is also provided for the tilting of the seat surface 13.
- the support elements 9 are pressed against the weight of the seated person in the direction of the ground on actuation of the reciprocating piston. Only when a reaction force is created by these support elements 9, the tilting of the seat 13 is initiated and the chair thereby secured by the firm connection of the support elements 9 with the ground against evasive movements.
