- the present invention relates to a device for a divided ship ramp that is foldably arranged between a ramp arrangement pivotably mounted at the stern or stem of the ship and arranged to reach between the ship and a quay situated laterally displaced from the ship and situated on the side of the ship, astern or ahead, the ramp being arranged to extend curved or angled in an extended driving position.
- An additional desire is to be able to load and drive vehicles to one longitudinal half of the ship, as seen along the centre line of the ship, and furthermore to the centre area of the ship, if it is desired to utilize the other cargo spaces of the ship for cargo such as containers and similar cargo handled by a crane in the vertical direction between the quay and the ship.
- the vehicles are intended to drive via a narrow corridor to the intended cargo storage space on board.
- a corridor that normally is situated on the same side of the ship, as seen from the centre line of the ship, as the quay that is utilized for touching and loading and unloading.

- the end portions 20, 21 are formed of an upwardly extending side leg 20 and of a downwardly extending side leg 21, respectively, with a pivot mounting 22, 23 received in the end of the respective side leg.
- the height level difference H of the mountings 17, 22 and 18, 23, respectively is approx. 2,5 m and the longitudinal displacement L of said mountings 17, 22 and 18, 23, respectively, is approx. 0,5 m. Also other measures may be selected.
- the pivot mounting 22 situated closest to the lateral bulkhead 24 of the ship that is arranged to be facing a quay 8 in question when loading and unloading the ship 3 is situated elevated and is situated closest to the transverse line 25 of the ship in relation to the opposite pivot mounting 23 on the opposite side of the ramp.
- said inner ramp portion 12 has an outwardly facing angled or curved end portion 26 while an outer ramp portion 27 is curved, angled or straight and connects in a pivotably mounted manner to the inner ramp portion 12 via a transverse pivot joint 28.
- the mounting arrangement 11 is carried by the ship 3 so that the ramp arrangement 6 in a raised and collapsed stowing position II leans somewhat laterally 29 inward toward the vertical centre plane CL of the ship and is kept efficiently securely situated inside the outer side limiting plane 30 of the ship.
- the mountings are lying on the same shaft or at least on the same imaginary axis. In that connection, vehicles can drive between the ship 3 and the quay 8 without problems thanks to the shape of the ramp, and the ramp arrangement 6 allows reliably keeping the ramp 2 inside the outer side limiting edge 31 and plane 30 of the ship, and thereby prevent the ship 3 from becoming wider than the ship width limited by the lateral bulkhead 24.
- the function and the nature of the invention should have been clear from what has been mentioned above and shown in the drawings.
- the ramp is in other respects preferably formed and arranged to function in a way previously known per se, with, e.g., cable arrangements for hoisting and with jacks for pivoting.
- the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications are feasible, particularly as for the nature of the different parts, or by using an equivalent technology, without departing from the protection area of the invention, such as it is defined in the claims.
