- the CPU 49 executes the correction control after a predetermined time has elapsed from the operation when the user instructs to execute the correction control of the reference position of the acceleration sensor 45 in the manual calibration. .
- the calibration in the manual calibration, is not executed until a predetermined time (for example, several seconds) elapses after a predetermined operation by the user is performed. Since the calibration is executed after the suspension member 32 is attached to the housing and the housing is suspended and stationary, the calibration is performed by eliminating the state that the user holds in the hand and the state of shaking immediately after the suspension. Can be executed.
- a predetermined time for example, several seconds
- the CPU 49 determines that the inclination angle related to the value calculated by the acceleration sensor 45 is predetermined when the suspension member 32 is attached to the attachment portion 31 and the casing is suspended in the auto calibration. It is determined whether or not it matches (reference value), and when it is determined that they do not match, a deviation amount from a predetermined inclination angle is calculated, and correction control is executed based on the deviation amount. It is preferable.

- the user selects whether or not to execute the calibration of the acceleration sensor 45 in a state where the suspension member 32 is attached to the attachment portion 31 and the housing is suspended. can do.
- the CPU 49 determines in advance the inclination angle related to the value calculated by the acceleration sensor 45 when the suspension member 32 is attached to the attachment portion 31 and the housing is suspended in manual calibration and auto-calibration. It is determined whether or not it matches the tilt angle (reference value), and when it is determined that they do not match, a deviation amount from a predetermined tilt angle is calculated, and the deviation amount and the past are calculated. It is preferable to calculate an average value with the plurality of deviation amounts and execute correction control based on the average value.
- the calibration is performed based on the average value with the previously calculated deviation amount. Therefore, the bias specific to the location where the calibration is performed can be reduced, and the calibration is performed. The user does not feel uncomfortable in the operation feeling after the operation.
- the 0 g level of the acceleration sensor 45 is If the level is not set so that the user always operates, the user feels uncomfortable. For example, when the user tilts the mobile phone device 1 with the usual operation feeling, but the animation suddenly changes different from the usual, the user feels uncomfortable.
- the 0 g level after calibration may be different from the usual 0 g level due to the bias specific to the location. is expected. Since the user is operating the tilt angle based on the 0 g level of the acceleration sensor 45 after calibration performed at the usual place, the 0 g level of the acceleration sensor 45 is different from the usual level. , I feel uncomfortable in the sense of operation. On the other hand, in other applications, the acceleration sensor 45 may require an accurate tilt angle calculation.
- the calibration is executed based on the average value of the deviation amounts calculated in the past, so that the user does not feel uncomfortable in the sense of operation of the tilt angle and is accurate.
- the inclination angle can also be calculated.
- the CPU 49 performs correction control in consideration of the difference between the open state and the closed state in manual calibration and auto calibration.
- the calibration data depends on which state the weight balance is different. Need to be changed.
- accurate calibration can be executed regardless of the state of the mobile phone device 1.
- the mobile phone device 1 is in two states, that is, an open state and a closed state.
- the present invention is not limited to this, and the mobile phone device 1 is configured to execute calibration in consideration of differences in various states. May be.
- the cellular phone device 1 is provided with a memory card slot 51, and the weight balance is changed by attaching a memory card to the memory card slot 51. For this reason, the CPU 49 determines whether or not a memory card is mounted in the memory card slot 51 during manual calibration and auto-calibration, and the suspended state when the memory card is mounted and the suspended state when the memory card is not mounted. The calibration calculation may be changed even during the period.
- the CPU 49 is in the open state or the closed state (or the memory) when the user instructs to execute the correction control of the reference position of the acceleration sensor 45 in the manual calibration. It is preferable to control so that information prompting to suspend the housing is displayed on the LCD display unit 21.
- the user in the manual calibration, the user is instructed to the user using the LCD display unit 21 about the state of the mobile phone device 1 when the calibration is executed, so the mobile phone device 1 when the calibration is executed. It is not necessary to assume a plurality of states, and the processing load can be reduced.
- the user hangs the column 60 or the like by the suspending member 32 when the cellular phone device 1 is not used.
- calibration in three axis directions (x, y, z) including the gravity direction is executed.
- FIG. 4 shows the acceleration applied in each direction when the cellular phone device 1 is suspended from the column 60 or the like by the suspension member 32.
- the component suspended in the suspension member 32 is stationary and the component in the z-axis direction is at the 0 g level (position where the suspension member 32 is attached).
- the component in the z-axis direction may not be at the 0 g level.
- the acceleration in the x-axis direction, the y-axis direction, and the z-axis direction varies depending on the position where the suspension member 32 of the mobile phone device 1 is attached, but in the stationary state, the 1 g level appears only in the vertical direction. Only that does not fluctuate.
- the CPU 49 monitors both the acceleration for each axis of the acceleration sensor 45 and the calculated tilt angle. Then, it is determined whether or not the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor 45 does not fluctuate and the calculated inclination angle is included in a predetermined angle range.
- the predetermined angle range is a value having a slight width with respect to the detection value when the casing is suspended while the detection value of the acceleration sensor 45 is accurate.
- the state in which the tilt angle falling within this angle range is detected and the acceleration does not fluctuate is a state in which the housing is suspended even when the acceleration sensor 45 has a slight deviation that requires calibration. It can be identified as a stationary state when lowered.
- the inclination angle becomes close to that when the suspension member 32 is suspended from the pillar 60 or the like, and the expected value
- the acceleration of each axis continues to fluctuate due to minute arm vibration, it is different from the situation where the suspension member 32 is suspended and fixed to the pillar 60 or the like, so it is possible to distinguish the situation. It is.
- the mobile phone device 1 detects a stationary and stable state, such as a situation where the suspension member 32 is suspended from the pillar 60 or the like, and the acceleration sensor 45 is turned on. Since level calibration is executed, accurate calibration can be executed by a simple method.
- the mobile phone device 1 according to the present invention is in the case of being suspended on the pillar 60 or the like by the suspension member 32 or being suspended on the pillar 60 or the like by the suspension member 32 in manual calibration and auto calibration. After a certain period of time has elapsed, acceleration data is detected by the acceleration sensor 45, and 0 g level calibration processing of the acceleration sensor 45 is executed.
- the absolute value of the vertical acceleration is “1” as a condition for executing the calibration. Strictly speaking, the column 60 or the like is suspended by the suspension member 32.
- the acceleration sensor 45 does not accurately enter the state of “1” as acceleration data due to its performance under the condition of being hung on the head, and repeats minute changes in the vicinity of the “1”.
- the user does not recognize that the 0 g level is shifted at the 0 g level of the acceleration sensor 45 before the calibration is performed, and is accustomed to the current 0 g level having the shift. there is a possibility. In such a state, if calibration is automatically performed by auto-calibration and the 0 g level of the acceleration sensor 45 is corrected, the user may feel unnatural in the operation feeling.
- the user when auto calibration is executed, the user is notified that the calibration has been automatically executed by voice, light, display, etc., and the user It is possible to decide whether or not to adopt calibration. If not adopted, the user can perform a predetermined operation and cancel the calibration.
- the mobile phone device 1 can be used with the 0 g level.
- the user since the user can determine whether or not to adopt the result of calibration by auto-calibration, the user intentionally holds the cellular phone device 1 with the suspension member 32 and the column 60 or the like.
- the mobile phone device 1 is suspended from the column 60 by the suspension member 32, and the calibration is automatically performed by the auto calibration after a predetermined time has passed. In such a case, it is possible to prevent the calibration from being executed without the user's knowledge.
- the calibration conditions will be described with reference to FIG. 5, strictly speaking, the case where calibration is executed in a portion close to “A” (+ direction) and the case where calibration is executed in a portion close to “B” ( ⁇ direction). Since the 0g level after calibration is different, the reference 0g level may change depending on the location where the calibration is performed.
- the present invention by averaging the acceleration data, even if the place where calibration is executed is different from the usual place and the 0g level is different from the usual value, Since it is possible to average the acceleration data that has been used (accumulated) for calibration, the deviation of the reference value is mitigated, and it is not extremely biased. Can be executed.
- step S1 the hanging member 32 is referred to as a strap.
- an expected value is set in advance (step S1).
- the acceleration in the x-axis direction (x_acc), the acceleration in the y-axis direction (y_acc), and the acceleration in the z-axis direction (z_acc) are measured in advance. This measured value is stored in the memory 44 or the like as an expected value of the calibration condition.
- step S1 the expected value when the strap is suspended from the column 60 or the like when the cellular phone device 1 is in the open state, or the strap is suspended from the column 60 or the like when the cellular phone device 1 is closed.
- the expected value may be stored in the memory 44 or the like.
- step S2 the CPU 49 repeats the steps S3 to S6 until the time-out condition relating to the following steps S3 to S6 is met.
- the CPU 49 detects the tilt angle of the mobile phone device 1 (step S3). Based on the data supplied from the acceleration sensor 45, the CPU 49 calculates the acceleration in the x-axis direction (x_acc_1), the acceleration in the y-axis direction (y_acc_1), and the acceleration in the z-axis direction (z_acc_1).
- the acceleration in the x-axis direction (x_acc_1), the acceleration in the y-axis direction (y_acc_1), and the acceleration in the z-axis direction (z_acc_1) are referred to as actually measured values.
- the CPU 49 compares the expected value stored in advance in the step S1 with the actual measurement value calculated in the step S3 in each axis (step S4).
- the CPU 49 determines whether or not a certain calibration condition is satisfied based on the comparison result in the step S4 (step S5).
- the case where a certain calibration condition is satisfied refers to a case where the expected value and the actual measurement value in all the axes match or is within a certain range. If a certain calibration condition is satisfied (Yes), the process proceeds to step S6, and if a certain calibration condition is not satisfied (No), the process proceeds to step S7.
- step S6 the CPU 49 checks whether or not the determination has been obtained an arbitrary number of times. That is, the CPU 49 periodically monitors the detection value of the acceleration sensor 45, and determines whether or not the periodic detection result continuously matches the condition. In this process, since it is assumed that it is impossible to determine whether or not the mobile phone device 1 is really hung on the pillar 60 or the like by the strap only by the determination result in the step S5, the mobile phone device 1 is really used by the strap. It is executed in order to confirm that it is suspended from the pillar 60 or the like. Note that this step is not essential and may be skipped.
- the CPU 49 determines whether or not the time t has been reached in the process of step S5 or step S6.
- t can be arbitrarily set, is a time that can be determined that the mobile phone device 1 is suspended by the strap, and is set to a time sufficiently longer than a plurality of data acquisition cycles of the acceleration sensor 45. (Eg 1 second). If the time t is reached, the process is terminated. If the time t is not reached, the process is continued. Note that when the time t is reached and the processing ends (timeout), the user may be notified that the calibration processing has not been executed by sound, light, display, or the like.
- the calibration accuracy may be increased by averaging the 0 g level for each calibration process.
- the user may confirm whether the calibration process is valid or the calibration process is invalidated (cancelled) and the previous state is acceptable by voice, light, display, or the like.
- the x-axis direction, the y-axis direction, and the z-axis direction are processed at the same time.
- the present invention is not limited to this. If it is determined in the step S5 that the predetermined calibration condition is not satisfied, the calibration may not be performed.
- the embodiment has been described with reference to an example of a mobile phone device as an example of a small electronic device with a built-in tilt sensor, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
- the present invention can be applied to a small electronic device such as a portable game machine, a portable navigation machine, or a PDA that has a built-in tilt sensor and needs to detect a holding angle.
- a tilt sensor is incorporated for camera shake correction during shooting or shooting assist, etc., and by applying the present invention, calibration of such a tilt sensor is possible. Can be done easily and accurately.
- the present invention is not limited to a small electronic device that can be operated independently as described above, but is a small electronic device that is used by being connected to an external device that incorporates an acceleration sensor 45 but does not have portability. Even when applied to (for example, a controller of a game machine), the effects according to the present invention can be exhibited.
- the controller 100 includes an acceleration sensor 45 (tilt sensor) that calculates a tilt based on the detected acceleration, a casing 101 in which the acceleration sensor 45 is built, and a calculated value in the acceleration sensor 45. And a communication cable unit 102 that outputs a signal related to the above to the outside of the housing. According to such a configuration, when the casing 101 is suspended by the communication cable unit 102, the acceleration sensor 45 performs correction control of the reference position based on the suspended and stationary state.
- the configuration and operation of the acceleration sensor 45 are the same as described above.
- FIG. 7 shows a top view of the controller 100
- FIG. 8 shows a cross-sectional view taken along the line AA in FIG. 7,
- FIG. 9 shows when the acceleration sensor 45 is calibrated.
- FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating a state in which the housing 101 is suspended by the communication cable unit 102.
- the controller 100 includes a push switch 103 that performs a pressing operation, a direction operation key 104 that performs a direction operation, a handle portion 105, and a lever 106.
- the configuration of the controller 100 is an example and is not limited to the present embodiment.
- the 0 g level calibration of the acceleration sensor 45 is executed by a processing unit (not shown) of the main body 200 that is electrically connected to the controller 100 via the communication cable unit 102.
- the calibration execution procedure by the processing unit of the main body 200 is the same as that of the CPU 49 described above.
- the main body 200 is connected to a monitor 300 that displays an image processed by the microcomputer in the main body. And it is preferable to display the display which supports the calibration in the LCD display part 21 mentioned above on the monitor 300 similarly.
- the acceleration sensor 45 when the calibration of the acceleration sensor 45 is executed, an accurate direction with respect to gravity can be easily determined. For example, in the process in which the user uses the controller 100, the acceleration sensor 45 When a deviation occurs in the 0g level, by selecting manual calibration, accurate calibration can be executed any number of times by the user himself, and accurate acceleration data can always be obtained.
