Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Formstoffmischung für die Herstellung von Formkörpern für die Gießereiindustrie, mindestens umfassend einen feuerfesten Formgrundstoff und ein Bindemittelsystem auf Polyurethanbasis, welches eine Polyisocyanatkomponente sowie eine Polyolkomponente umfasst. Erfindungsgemäß umfasst das Bindemittelsystem auf Polyurethanbasis einen Anteil eines Carbonsäurediesters eines verzweigten Alkandiols von zumindest 3 Gew.-% sowie einen Anteil an aromatischem Lösungsmittel, bezogen auf das Bindemittelsystem, von weniger als 10 Gew.-%. Bevorzugt wird als Carbonsäurediester 2,2,4-Trimethyl-1,3-pentandiol-diisobutyrat verwendet. Die aus der Formstoffmischung hergestellten Formkörper für die Gießereiindustrie zeichnen sich durch eine hohe Festigkeit sowie eine verringerte Qualm- und Rauchentwicklung beim Abguss aus.
