If it is determined that the traffic information is not general traffic information, the process proceeds to step S19, the utterance output of the notification information is performed, and the process proceeds to step S13. On the other hand, if it is determined in step S18 that the traffic information is general traffic information, the process proceeds to step S20, the notification information is discarded, and the process proceeds to step S16.
- the control unit 207 continues the above processing (steps S11 to S20) until the utterance type vehicle-mounted device 200 is turned off.
- the cancel button 401 is operated (pressed). If the notification information is disaster information or safe driving support information, the user speaks without accepting the cancel button, and if the traffic information is general traffic information, the operation of the utterance type road traffic information providing device (system) stops the utterance. If the reception is not confirmed, step S30 is performed again after a predetermined time, and if it is detected, the process proceeds to step S31.
- step S31 the control unit 207 starts utterance output of the information according to the priority of the received information, and the process proceeds to step S32.
- step S32 the control unit 207 determines whether or not the operation of the operation unit 204 (depression of the cancel button 401) has been performed. If it is determined that the operation has not been performed, the process proceeds to step S32. After shifting to S34 and outputting the notification information, the process proceeds to step S36. On the other hand, if it is determined in step S32 that the operation has been performed, the process proceeds to step S33.
- step S33 the control part 207 will judge whether the said alerting
- step S35 the control unit 207 interrupts the output of the notification information (outputs the speech output stop signal to the voice processing unit 202), and the process proceeds to step S36.
- step S36 the control unit 207 determines whether there is broadcast information to be output next. If it is determined that there is no notification information to be output next, the process returns to step S30 to wait for reception of the next notification information from the roadside apparatus 100. On the other hand, if it is determined that there is notification information to be output next, the process proceeds to step S37, the notification information having the next priority is output, and the process returns to step S32.

- the SKIP button 402 or the like is pressed to skip to the next notification information when there are a plurality of punctuation marks or notification information next to the TTS. You may make it output utterance.
- the SKIP button 402 interrupts the output of broadcast information currently being uttered and skips to the next broadcast information, or the broadcast information is composed of a long TTS and has punctuation marks. Is an operation means having a function of skipping to the next punctuation mark in the broadcast information currently being uttered.
- the cancel button 401 when the cancel button 401 is pressed during the utterance output of the high-priority notification information, the subsequent general traffic information (including the case where it is newly received from the roadside wireless device) is not output. good.
- the ID of the roadside apparatus 100 that transmitted the notification information that has been uttered is stored (registered).
- the utterance output of the notification information received from the roadside apparatus 100 having the registered ID may not be performed (discarded).
- the disaster information may be output as an utterance.
- the ID of the roadside radio device 100 for the opposite lane to the own vehicle or the ID of the roadside radio device 100 (the roadside radio device 100 that transmits notification information not addressed to the own vehicle) received on a general road under the elevated expressway After that, the utterance output of the notification information received from the roadside apparatus 100 having the registered ID may not be performed (discarded). Also in this case, the disaster information may be output as an utterance.
- a TTS that is determined to be notification information for a vehicle in the opposite lane from the host vehicle may be set not to output an utterance.
- the notification information received first is the notification information for the up lane, and if the host vehicle is in the up lane, the user (user) listens to the TTS without doing anything.
- the received notification information is the notification information for the down lane, and if the vehicle is in the up lane, the user (user) stops the utterance output by pressing a specific button such as the cancel button 401 or the like. Thereafter, until the broadcast information of different routes is received, the discrimination between up / down is not changed. Thereby, thereafter, only the correct direction (lane) can be uttered and output.
- the route is simply identified by adding the route number (National Route ⁇ Up / Down) in addition to the up / down. Will do.
- the route number is changed, the utterance is always output first, and for example, when the user presses a specific button such as the cancel button 401, it is set (determined) as an opposite lane, and when it is not pressed, it is set as a forward lane. You may do it.
- the present embodiment is preferably used in a device (speech-type on-vehicle device 200) in which position information data and direction data of the host vehicle cannot be obtained, but the utterance type connected to a portable simple navigation device or the like.
- ITS vehicle-mounted device connected to the vehicle-mounted device and the navigation device (at least a configuration connected to a navigation device that notifies the control unit 207 of vehicle position information and travel direction information, or a configuration built into the navigation device) It can also be applied to in-vehicle devices.
- the DSRC method is used, but other wireless methods may be adopted.
- the notification information is notified according to the priority, but the present invention can also be applied to information without priority.
- each constituent block included in the road traffic information providing system of the above-described embodiment may be realized in whole or in part by software, or at least part of it may be realized by hardware.
- all or a part of the processing in the control units 104, 207, and 306 may be realized on a computer by one or a plurality of programs, and at least a part thereof may be realized by hardware. .
- a computer program for operating the utterance type vehicle-mounted device 200 as all or part of the apparatus is stored in a computer-readable recording medium such as a memory card, CD-ROM, DVD, or MO (Magneto-Optical Disk). It may be distributed and installed in another computer, for example, a mobile phone, an audio device, an electronic watch, etc., and operated as the utterance type vehicle-mounted device 200, or a process performed by the utterance type vehicle-mounted device 200 may be executed.
- the program may be stored in a disk device or the like of a server device on the Internet, and may be downloaded to a computer that becomes the utterance type vehicle-mounted device 200, for example, superimposed on a carrier wave.
