 C:0.25~0.5%(質量%の意味、以下同じ)、Si:0.01~2.0%、Mn:0.50~2.0%、P:0.015~0.080%、S:0.01~0.2%、V:0.02~0.20%、Cr:0.05~1.0%、Ti:0.01~0.10%、およびN:0.01%以下を含有しており、下記式で表されるf値が0.003以上0.04以下であり、また硫化物系介在物の平均アスペクト比が15以下であることを特徴とする破断分割型コネクティングロッド用鋼を提供する。 f=[Ti]-[N]×48/14 [式中、[Ti]および[N]は、それぞれ鋼中におけるTiおよびNの含有量(質量%)を示す。]
