Abstract

 撮像装置200は、収差を意図的に発生させる収差制御機能を有する収差制御光学系210および撮像素子220と、1次画像を高精細な最終画像に形成する画像処理装置240とを含む。収差制御光学系210Aは、収差を意図的に発生させる収差制御機能を持つ収差制御素子を含む、もしくは収差制御機能を有する収差制御面を内包する収差制御光学系を用いてPSFを2画素以上にまたがるようにし、所定の周波数において偽解像しない主像面シフト領域でディフォーカスに対するMTF特性が2つ以上のピークを持つ深度拡張光学系として形成されている。その結果、光学系を簡単化でき、コスト低減を図ることができることはもとより、画像復元処理を施さなくても深度拡張することができ、適切な画質のノイズの影響が小さい良好な画像を得ることが可能となる。
