Abstract

中空で偏平で円形のドーナッツ形状から上下を直線的に切り取った切欠部34,35を有するチューブとして形成された複数の偏平チューブ32を積層してチューブ積層体30を構成し、排気流入側エンドプレート42によりその切欠部44が切欠部34に整合して上方を向くように且つ排気流出側エンドプレート52によりその切欠部55が切欠部35に整合して下方を向くようにケース22に取り付け、断熱作用をもってチューブ積層体30の中央を貫通する排気連絡管60の排気流出端に遮断弁68を設ける。内燃機関の暖機時には、遮断弁68を閉じて排気を各偏平チューブ32の隙間を全体として上方から下方に流すと共に熱交換媒体を各偏平チューブ32内を全体として下方から上方に流して排気と熱交換媒体との熱交換を行ない、排気の熱を回収する。
