Abstract

 液滴成形法によってガラス成形体を製造する場合において、高い形状精度と厚み精度を同時に確保することができるガラス成形体の製造方法を提供する。所定温度に加熱した下型に溶融ガラス滴を滴下して、上型及び下型の少なくとも一方を移動型として加圧方向に移動して上型と下型とを最終到達間隔まで接近させ、滴下した溶融ガラス滴を加圧する。加圧工程は、上型と下型の間隔が最終到達間隔よりも大きい所定間隔となるように移動型を移動して加圧する第1加圧工程、移動型の移動を停止又は移動方向を反転させて上型と溶融ガラス滴との間に間隙を生じた状態で待機する待機工程、その後に溶融ガラス滴を所定の荷重で所定時間加圧する第2加圧工程の3つの工程を有する。
