- the present invention has been made to solve the above problem occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a sewing machine capable of removing inconvenience caused when manually attaching sensing tapes by installing a sensing device for detecting a beginning point and an ending point of a corner of fabric. According to the present invention, the defect rate is remarkably reduced by accurately setting a rotation timing of a jig at all times.
- a sewing machine including a jig having a guide groove for guiding a sewing line and fixing fabric, a side roller for moving and rotating the jig, a step motor or a mechanical driving device to rotate the side roller, an elastic support member, which is provided at a front end thereof with a roller adhering closely to the jig and is provided at a rear end thereof with a spring, and a detection member including a first sensor installed on the elastic support member to detect a curvature of a corner of the jig and a second sensor which detects a beginning point and an ending point of the corner by detecting the first sensor.

- the beginning point of the corner is detected if the first sensor 8 and the second sensor 9 meet together by a forward movement of the elastic support member 6 supported by a side surface of the jig 2.
- the ending point of the corner is detected if the first sensor 8 deviates from the second sensor 9 by a backward movement of the elastic support member 6.
- the elastic support member 6 is provided at a front end thereof with a first roller 61, a second roller 62 and a third roller 63 that adhere closely to the jig 2, and provided at a rear end thereof with a support 60 having a rod inserted into a body 70 and a spring 66 fitted around the rod to apply elasticity.
- the third roller 63 is installed at the foremost side and the second roller 62 and the first roller 61 are sequentially installed at a rear side of the third roller 63.
- the foremost side refers to a position adjacent to a seat of a worker.
- the spring 66 supplies elasticity to push the support 60 such that the first to third rollers 61 to 63 are supported against the side surface of the jig 2 all the time.
- the first sensor 8 includes a bracket 82, which has a 'reverse L' shape and is installed at an upper surface of the support 60 of the elastic support member 6, and a detection unit 84 protruding from an upper surface of an end of the bracket 82 such that the first sensor 8 moves transversely depending on the movement of the elastic support member 6.
